MSI Wind Top AE2410 GPU Error ?

Hi there
I recently received a MSI MS-AE321 Wind Top All in one PC. Unfortunately I have this issue when the its powered on, everything is fuzzy
I have opened it up and had a look around for fault, all I can think of is the GPU thats now dead  R.I.P
Is there by any chance I can just replace the GPU ? I'm a IT guy, but never worked on these machines before.
I'd appreciate any help on this, as I wish to have this machine running ASAP

When the machine starts up, its pixel blocks with cyan, yellow and pink buzzing all over the screen.
Could be just a connector or cable issue as well.

Which All-in-one is it as MS-AE321 is just the board? Actually if the machine has a integrated GPU there is no such possibility like replacing it with another board with MXM compatibility.

    Hello everybody!
I'm from Poland and my English isn't very well.
I have a question:  I have MSI Wind Top AG2712 i7-3630QM 1TB 128GB SSD 12GB W8   and I have gaphic card GTX 670MX. Would i have a NVIDIA  GTX 970M on thic AiO PC?  Please write back!
    Good be!

    Hi,
With AiO I guess it's similar to notebooks: it might work, but there are few factors that might have to be changed. For example you would most likely have to modify heatsink for the GPU. Also custom BIOS might also be needed.
As long as these can have their GPUs removed/swapped around. So even if you buy 970M, make sure you will be able to return it in case it don't work.
I would ask MSI as they have all the details about each AiO version and graphics cards, so they should be able to answer this straight away, simple as "Yes or No", as currently on the forum we can only guess whether it will work or not.

You would have to do your own new fresh Windows install, with a borrowed Windows disc.

    Ask MSI.

  • Msi wind top 1900 easy viewwer

Where is this file?  I've searched the hard drive, no luck.  There is an instruction manual that came with the computer, but no program that I can find.
Never mind - found it.  Warning guys, it does not install automatically with the rest of the software.  I'm using AE1900 wind top with vista basic, 2G and 260G HD.  Pretty nice machine, but seems very slow.  Thanks for your patience with a newby

MSI Easy Viewer did not load on my system either. I finally found it on the CD that comes with the unit and which also includes drivers. The system with Vista works fine. I did follow some of the suggestions found in an on-line article (possibly PC Mag) which discussed 12 things to turn off in Vista to improve performance. I also set power setting to maximize performance, used Advanced System Care Pro to tune/optimize performance and free up available RAM, and inserted a ReadyBoost flash drive into one of the USB ports (definitely helps reduce boot-up times). On-line forums/articles also indicate that performance can be improved further using Windows 7 RC, although I have not yet done so.

  • MSI Wind Top AE2050 - 32bit

    Hi,
I'm interested in buying a MSI AE2050-074EU All In One PC.
But (annoyingly) I have one application that will only work on the 32bit version of Win7.  I understand this device comes with 64-bit pre-installed, so:
    a) does it come with an installation disk so I can wipe it and reinstall the 32bit version?
    or
    b) is there the option to downgrade to the 32bit version on the first start up?
    or
    c) If I happen to have my own Win 7 installation disk can I reinstall from that using the licence key that it presumably included with the PC?
And of course, I assume it actually works with the 32bit version...?

    Quote
    a) does it come with an installation disk so I can wipe it and reinstall the 32bit version?
No. It will come only with a recovery system, that will restore to original factory settings, which is 64bit Windows.

    No, because...

The licence key is only valid for that particular version of Windows. If you want to replace Windows with the 32bit version, you will need to buy a 32bit version to get a valid licence key.

  • Msi wind top AE2020 upgrate

I want upgrate my all in one pc.
Please can you tell me the better cpu and ram which is compatible with this pc?

I may have been unclear or confusing about what I said about the RAM I installed. I install RAM that was faster than MSI installs, and that matched the higher speed of the CPU I installed. This is the RAM I installed:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820161339
The CPU I install has a 1066 MHz FSB, and I may have been confusing that.

  • MSI Wind Top AE1900 overclocking

    Hi,
Despite the AE1900's BIOS not offering any overclock options, your Atom 230 can be overclocked easily from within Windows as the MS-7438 mainboard fitted into AE1900 features a RTM876-665 clock generator from Realtek which is - luckly - supported by SetFSB.
I could easily till my 230 to 2.1 GHz (I did not try any higher, you can by checking 'Ultra'). It required the PCI(-E) bus to run a bit faster. Please note that each CPU + chipset is different and may not overclock as high as another.
To test system stability I suggest to run OCCT.
For some reason, as a side effect of overclocking this kind of CPU, the TSC may be messed up, which causes unexpected behavior in software relying on this timer. To fix this, install AMD Dual-Core Optimizer.
I hope the information above is valuable to others.

Thankyou for the info, finally with this information i can overlock my AE1900.
The model i have is ATOM 330 with 2gb ram with windows 7 ultimate installed
This is the maximum overclock i can reach with stable results:
Here the CPU info without  overlclock.
Here is how i configured setfsb after lot of try:
    Here CPU info after overclock.
Performance meter windows 7 without overclock.
Now with overclock, processor now reach 3.3
After overlock, the noise form fan is the same.
No execive heat, just 5 degres over not overlock.
Super PI without overlock 1million,  take 1.31 seconds
With this overlock just 1.10 seconds
Really great improvement, stability tested with OCCT.
I can see the improvement when test and use software like core and other heavy appz.
I really dont know if windows 7   need AMD Dual-Core Optimizer, aparently only XP,  vista and 7 aprently no need this tool.
    I apreciate confirmation about this.
    Best regards.

  • Wind Top AE2020 usb issue

    Hi
I'm using a number of these at work connected to a usb device. The usb device has it's own driver and this works perfectly connected to any port on any of our other computers (different models, brands and OSs). Our problem is that the AE2020s often freeze completely when we connect the usb device.
When they do work I've noticed that it can take several seconds before the computer registers that the device has been plugged in or out (going by the sound at least).
While I'm generally ok with computers this is a bit outside my field. I was thinking about updating the Mobo chipset drivers, but I'd love to hear if anyone is familiar with this problem first. Any help would be greatly appreciated
    The computers in question are:
    MSI Wind Top AE2020
    Intel Pentium Dual Core T4500
    320 GB HDD
    3gb ram
    Win7
    BIOS v. 02.67
Please let me know if I've left out anything and I'll get the info

The AE2020 uses an nVidia ION chip set and not the usual Intel. That was one of the reasons I bought one. However, because it's not the mainstream Intel, Microsoft and MSI do not update the chip set drivers that often. I suggest going to the nVidia web site and downloading their most recent driver for this chip set. You might want to check Device Manager for the exact model name or use the nVidia automated update facility on their web site.
I have had only good experiences with USB devices on my AE2020. These would be standard devices like a wireless keyboard dongle, a BlueTooth mini-card mounted internally, a slide film scanner and an assortment of USB Flash drives and hard drives. It also sounds that this USB device you speak of is not something I might get at Best Buy. Is the driver for that device designed for Windows 7? You've said it works well with other systems. Are any of these running Windows 7?
    Bye.

  • MSI Ti-4200 TD GPU GRAPHICS "LAGGNESS"

I have bought the MSI Ti-4200 TD about 2 months ago and have installed it to my new D.I.Y computer. But it does noe seem to be running smoothly when I play games on my computer. For example, even for games like Warcraft III, C & C Generals and RalliSport Challenge. I have encounter small jams here and there during gameplay and the worst is in Rallisport Challenge where "laggness aka big jams and distortion" occurs at every 10 to 15 secs f gameplay which cause "dizziness" ...
I have even download the following driver for update on the GPU and things seems worst. After I have uninstall the old driver from my Win2K and install the fresh new driver, I have found that the system does not indicates whether my GPU is running under 2x or 4x AGP under Control Panel > MSI Information. I am unable to adjust my MSI Clock settings as an error message appearing says that "DirectDraw Init Failed. The sample will now exit". I do not have this problem with the previous driver. ?(

Well... Thanks for your advice, but I have already formatted my computer and re-install everything. Though now my computer and the GPU works well :]  and perform rather well, but I will still take your advice to heart when the next time I come across this problem again.  )
May I ask to confirm again? Is is that if I meet up with this problem, I will go to my DxDiag and de-activate my Direct Draw >> Restart my computer >> Re-activate my Direct Draw >> Restart my computer. Am I right?
Thanks again for your help :D !!!

  • Monitor keeps turning off on Wind-Top AE2220

Hi, I've a Wind-Top All-in-One AE2220, starting this morning I keep getting a black screen when I turn on the computer.
Pressing the LCD on/off at the bottom right corner will occasionally (2 quick presses seems to do it) get the screen to turn on for a brief second, and from that I can see Windows have started completely normally.
What might be the cause of this and is there anyway to fix it?
I've also tried plugging in an external monitor to use temporarily, but the monitor says there was no signal, is there anything I need to press to switch the display to the external monitor?

I have the very similar AE2020 model. The behaviour you are seeing is bad and I suggest exercising your MSI warranty. I had a fairly good experience doing that with mine a few months ago, though my reason was different. Like mine, your MSI AIO video connectors are for input only, not output. It's in your manual, though you have to look hard for the reference.
    Bye.

  • MOVED: MSI Wind U115 screen resolution problems

This topic has been moved to MSI Notebook.
    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=131560.0

The speakers are built into the unit so I do not have a seperate speaker volume control. This is the Wind Top all in one unit.
The only way to control the volume is by using the external volume buttons. Some programs do not have a internal volume control so our clients are going to need to use those external buttons. This is a major setback considering we are a reseller and would be selling hundreds of units.
I don't think I have the SCM software installed.
    Any other suggestions?
Why would MSI create a driver that when you adjust the volume it takes over the screen and causes programs to minimize? Seems a little crazy.

  • Can not sync centro with MSI Wind

I just purchased a new netbook (MSI Wind) and I want to use my Centro for internet (via PdaNet).  I have done this in the past with my MacBook Pro (running Windows XP Pro in boot camp) and with my Latitude D630 (also Windows XP Pro).  For some reason, however, I can't even get hotsync to work with the MSI Wind (running Windows XP home).
I started out by installing the latest version of PalmDesktop (downloaded from Palm.com).  During the point in time where the installation calls for syncing, I tried to sync and it would not work.  There was no error on the PC.  No hotsync window opened.  Eventually the centro just gave me a generic "can not connect" message:
"The connection between your handheld computer and the desktop could not be established.  Please check your setup and try again."
Of course I tried the online support first: http://kb.palm.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New,Kb=PalmSupportKB,ts=Palm_External2001,Case=obj(2630)
I did everything I could: disconnect Plam device, soft reset, clean the connector, check the ports, etc.  I used the developer's back door.  I tried rebooting the MSI Wind and trying again.  (Yes, the Palm Desktop application is running.)  I tried plugging my Centro into the Dell Latitude I have laying around.  It synced.  I plugged it back into the MSI Wind.  No die.  I tried multiple ports on the MSI Wind.  The only thing I didn't do is check the HotSync configuration because the link from the KB article is broken: http://kb.palm.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New,Kb=PalmSupportKB,ts=Palm_External2001,Case=obj(28536), but I did check all the settings that I could see from the PalmDesktop installation on the Dell (where it works) and the MSI (where it doesn't) and everything looked identical to me.  I also haven't re-installed the PalmDesktop softare (yet) because it doesn't make sense that there would be left-over files from a previous installation given that this is a fresh installation of Windows and the first time I've installed PalmDesktop.
I don't know what the problem is.  Any further suggestions?  It's really a bummer.  The MSI Wind is pretty much useless to me if I can't get internet to it via the cell phone, and I can't do that if I can't even get hotsync to work.
    Post relates to: Centro (Sprint)

I managed to get the hotsync to work eventually.  I had tried the USB port on the right and the one on the left closest to the battery.  Neither worked.  I figured if 2 didn't work, the third wouldn't either, but when I plugged it into the USB port on the left farthest from the battery it suddenly started working.
I have no explanation for this.
Now if only I could figure out the darn Bluetooth...

  • Wind Top AE2211G: panel technology and hard drive replacement?

I'm thinking of buying the Wind Top AE2211G, but I can't find any information about the following two things that are important to me:
What panel technology is used for the monitor? TN, MVA, IPS?
Is the hard drive easily replaceable by myself in case it dies? Can the case be opened easily without losing the warranty?

Well you probably haven't noticed then that this is a 'User-to-User' forum, run by users for the benefit of other users, on behalf of MSI. Although there are a couple of MSI employees who are members and occasionally post here, none of the forum admin or moderator team work for MSI.
While this forum is provided as a 'first line' of support for MSI products, there are some questions that we simply cannot answer, which is where we will direct users to contact MSI Support directly.
