MSI B75IA-E33 - BIOS 17.6
MSI B75IA-E33 - BIOS 17.6
Unable to download the above BIOS version from the US, EU or Asian download locations on the product support download page..
Release date says 30th Oct 2013.
Is there a reason this BIOS is unavailable and when will it be available for download ?.Thinks its an error, Beta .H64 was released on 11/2013 says 10/2013 for H60 which would be the mass production release of this bios.
I attached .h64 for you since I assume you are having problems.
You may flash with the forum flash tool option 1, run the .bat from pure dos, or manual flash.
Syntax:
fpt -f [name of bios] -savemac -
MSI X800XT PE (Low fps problem)
Ok, I dont know why I didnt think of this before, but I've been searching all kinds of forums lately trying to get find some answers as to why I seem to be getting really low fps with my MSI X800XT PE.
Theres no doubt about it. These cards are quick. The problem I am having is that it just doesnt seem to be kicking out the right amount of FPS during game play. For example, when I run 3dMark'05 (ver 1.1.0), (I only have the free version) My total at the end of the test is 5621. This is after I changed to the Omeaga Drivers (2.5.90) Before I upgraded to them, I was still running the catalyst 4.10 drivers and getting about 1000 points less.
As for Counter Strike:Source I did the video stress test. Video settings are all set to the default recommendation for my system. So everything is on high, Reflect world, Anisotropic 8*, antialiasing 6*, vertical sync disabled. My score was 83.1fps.
According to just about everyone else who owns an X800 Pro or XT PE they are all getting much higher results than myself.
I am also running DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
I would really appreciate it if anyone has any ideas as to why my scores are so low.
If you require more info please give me a shout.
Look forward to your reply.
DOA.Thanks for the feedback and links guys.
Basically I've done most of my comparing on futuremarks page. After you do a test it asks you wether or not you want to submit and compare. So I select all the hardware I own and see what others got. Looking through the pages it just seems that my score is in the last few pages. Another thing when I play CS:Source, during game play I see the fps drop down to 20fps during a heavy battle esp if there is water in the area. Do you guys get that. Theres a console command that shows you how many fps you get a second. Bare in mind that I play it @ 1600*1200 AS 8* AA 6*. I just thought that these cards would hardly ever drop to 20fps no matter the res and detail. -
i need msi nx 6600gt bios urgently the card is 128 mb version non vivo please also give me some guide lines on bios flashing
Well, there you are: MSI 6600GT-TD 128
But if the crappy picture appeared without modding bios before the card is probably dead or overheating! So the bios will most certainly not help at all.
Get latest driver, check temps then report back. -

MSI K9VGM-V, BIOS changelogs?
Would someone be so kind and please explain where i could find the changelogs for the MSI K9VGM-V BIOS, also where i can download them.
most important is to find the changelogs to further track down a possible solution.
the url: http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=bios&maincat_no=1&prod_no=260 doesnt really help me at all.
"Live Update" and "Live Update 3" is not an option.Hello and welcome!
Solution to what problem? BIOS updating should not be the first option. Also please supply a list of your hardware, including the PSU.
From googling a little I find the latest update to be 1.7. Doubt there are new updates. What do you currently have? -
MSI X79MA-GD45 BIOS/boot problems.
Hi I've been having problems getting my board to boot consistently.
System specs are:
MB: MSI X79MA-GD45 (BIOS 3.1)
CPU: Intel 3820 (C2 stepping)
RAM: 32GB (4x8GB) Kingston HyperX Beast 2400MHz (Running 1333MHz, auto)
GPU: Zotac GTX 680 4GB
PSU: Corsair 860i
Most times I have to clear CMOS before the system will boot.
Soft reboots are fine, however, if I change stuff that requires a proper reboot, fx enabling VT-x, the system will need a clear CMOS again before it will boot.
The error I get seems to be videocard related, 1 long 2 short beeps, however the videocard works fine in my old system.
I can usually get the system to behave for a little while by reflashing BIOS.
After clearing CMOS the system boots EVERY time and runs flawless.
PS prior to BIOS 3.1 multiplier 43x (and 44x, partially) were working, now it seems to max out at 42 (regardless of BIOS setting) but this isnt really an issue as much as the system instability at stock settings.
edit: corrected BIOS error beep typoIn combination with an i7-3820 the new Win8 bios versions for all X79 boards seem to be troublesome (that's also the reason for the multi limit).
Downgrade to the prior version (1.7) with the attached archive and retry.
For flashing >>use the MSI HQ Forum USB flasher<< and with it point to the attached and NOT unpacked bios archive (Mode 1: Point to archive). -

Hello,
Unfortunately today I stumbled upon a problem.. I was updating the Z77 Mpower bios and it all worked flawlessy for the bios update, when It restarted to update de ME it stopped at 68% and restarted by itself.. It's useless to say that the bios won't start, it does not even post...
The real problem is that this had happened to me a while back too with the other bios so both of them seem bricked
So is there any way to fix it? Since both updated completly the problem happened after a restart and when ME was updating.. It happened exactly the same way with both bios , when updating at 60% + the computer restarted itself and never started again..
Well I'm getting somewhat desperate as I'm in a need on this computer running..
Please tell me there's something that can be done, because I don't want to rma either as I'm in raid 0 and I'll be loosing all of my things..
Thanks you, regards! You could also buy a programmer and do it yourself. I did when I bricked a board. :-)
I got an SPI programmer based on the CH341A chip and in circuit programming clip for about $20 shipped from China. Search for EN25T80 or spi programmer on eBay. It will be less than $10 for a cheap programmer. The downside is the long wait for shipping.
It turned out that in-circuit programming with a clip did not work on any MSI boards I had. But connecting the programmer to the JSPI1 header worked perfectly. The clip works fine with other board manufacturers. It must have something to do with the way MSI has the bios chips wired. -

For now I would sit tight on flashing the BIOS or the EC. There seems to be an issue with it right now and we are trying to work with MSI to get it sorted out. -
Hello best and brightest minds of the MSI forum. I just bought the above board, and after buying and still using the MSI A85X-G65, the quality of MSI and the BIOS impressed me on the FM2 board. Now I know that the new board isn't top shelf, it is HS'ed and the tip top A78 that MSI offers. I OC my Athlon X4 750K, and the BIOS over volts the CPU. There is also no voltage adjustments that I can make what-so-ever, which is discouraging to say the least. I emailed MSI and got a generic response of we will pass this request off to our BIOS engineers. Is there any way to make a new bios, or crack and hack the one currently in place? Also, how long does it take to hear back if the BIOS team will pick up the project. I have heard that MSI is one of the best when it comes to requesting BIOS features.
Thanks!!!Most FM2 boards - especially the value ones - won't support overvolting and are not intended to offers such beacuse of the power design not being meant for such tasks. Therefor MSi will most likely just tell you that it is not supported. For bios modding place a request in BETA & MOD BIOS Section but I've never heard of some for FM2 boards besides it will not help with the technical limitations.

MSI A4000-068US BIOS MOD REQUEST
As was done with the A5000 recently(https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=132858.0), i was wondering if the same could be done with the A4000. basically some of the requests included:
Reverse/swap the notebook keys functions of the "Fn" key with Left "Ctrl" key like you have done with other models. I would also like to know if you could enable us to change the GPU Frame Buffer Size from the fixed 256MB to a user selectable 32MB - 512MB like other notebook manufacturers have done with this Nvidia chipset. Any other performance options such as making FSB-Memory Ratio or Memory Clock user selectable in BIOS would be awesome! additionally if there was a way to undervolt CPU to extend batt life would be great as well.
thanks for all your helpQuote from: jimboee on 10-July-10, 11:25:26
It has been over 120 days with no reply from Svet. This may be bumping, but patience and cash donation which I did both, did not help.
I got a lot more response from the request being bumped!

New system, MSI X800XT PCI-E Issues
Hi there!
I just bought a new motherboard, new ram, new cpu and new videocard and was eagerly wanting to set this stuff up.
My system is now as follows:
Motherboard: MSI 925X Neo-54G
CPU: P4 3.40Ghz (1 Mb L2 Cache) (Socket 775)
RAM: 1 GByte DDR2 533
Video Card: MSI RX800 XT-VTD256 (ATI Radeon X800XT PCI-E)
I put everything up and working and installed Windows XP w/ SP2. Installed every driver needed from the motherboard CD, went to ATI's site and downloaded the latest Catalyst Drivers, etc.
After having everything apparently working as it should, I downloaded 3dMark 2005 to see how it went. I had never used the 2005 version before so I wasn't too shocked to see it only got like 3200 points although I was kinda suspicious after seeing some of the tests going at like 1 fps.
I went back to another PC I have at home (a socket 478, P4 3.0Ghz, Asus P4C800 mobo, 1 GByte DDR400 Ram and a GeForce 6800 Ultra). Ran 3dMark 2005 and to my amazement, it got like 4400 points.
Well, double checked everything on the catalyst control panel (nothing really useful there)... then went back to the BIOS setup to investigate what is not working as it should. MSI boards have that nifty Dynamic Overclocking thing and so I turned it on. My BIOS settings are now as following (only listing settings I have doubts on):
DDR2 533 (Dual Channel Mode Enabled)
DRAM Timing Selectable: By SPD
Memory Hole: Disabled
PCI Express Root Port Func: Auto on all 4 ports
PCI-E Compliance Mode: v1.0a
DRAM Data integrity mode: Non-ECC
PCI IDE Busmaster: Enabled (I have a 250GB 8MB SATA HD,fyi)
Init Display First: PCI-E
Maximum Payload Size (PCI-E): 4096
High performance mode: Optimized (Manual is the other option)
Dynamic Overclocking: 5% (0-15% range)
Adjust DDR Frequency: Auto
Auto Detect PCI Clock: Enabled
Spread Spectrum: Disabled
CPU Clock: 200Mhz
CPU Voltage: By CPU default
Memory Voltage: 1.8v
AGP/PCI-E Voltage: 1.5v
Ok, so, can anyone tell me what is wrong (if anything)? I mean, I think this PC should be faster than my other one...
I'm not really interested in overclocking and I am really convinced this hardware should be able to beat my other one easily with default operating status.
Also, I tested this PC's performance with Rome: Total War and it is just as 3dMark had showed, it performs worse than the other pc I mentioned, with the same exact settings.
Any help please?
Regards!Quote
