MSI XP Pro x64 / Vista x64 drivers

I was looking at upgrading from Windows XP Pro to Windows XP Pro x64 or Windows Vista Home Premium x64.  I was wondering if there is x64 drivers for for either of these two operating systems.  I have a RX2600XT Diamond 512DDR4 video card and a K9A2 Platinum Motherboard is on the way.  I looked at the hardware driver download pages and I saw a few for the motherboard but video card only has XP/Vista listed.  Does that include x64 versions or not?
Do both of these products support XP Pro x64 and/or Vista x64?

Yes.

  • Live! Pro x64 drivers delayed yet again. What the hell?

    I purchased this camera at the end of 2005 since the x64 driver page stated that drivers were coming soon. It's been about eight months now and still NO drivers! Yesterday it said July 2006 and now it just says To Be Announced. What the hell is going on? Will drivers ever come out for this camera?

    So there's still no news on a release date for the drivers, supprise supprise. Can Creative please issue a public statement expressing their deep sorrow and sympathy to all the famillies of the people who held their breath waiting for this driver to be released. Yes they were stupid to have laid their faith in this sham of a company but they were misled to believe it was a leading company that would be able to make drivers for a product that would enable it to run on the latest OS. It was not unreasonable for them to expect it to take less than the year of release date set backs that have occured.
    Did 64-bit computing come as a huge supprise?
    The situation is laughable... if it hadn't cost me ?59.99 for a product I got 2 weeks use out of before I upgraded my whole computer. Still Creative have our money why should they care?! Maybe if they'd been honest with their customers and provided the support they had commited themselves to providing they'd have happy customers who would buy a Creative product again and would recommend Creative products to friends. I have personally put friends, familly and colleagues off purchasing Creative products after they have asked my advice... they now do the same when they're asked and so it goes on. I may have only caused you to lose a few thousand pounds worth of business but it all adds up.
    So come on Creative reps when do you expect the driver to be released? All you little sycophants with _CL on the end of your name don't just ignore it and hope it goes away, it won't. We want answers... better still Drivers... failing that our money back.

    We will release Vista drivers for the products we stated we are releasing Vista drivers for on the Vista driver chart. To my knowledge we are currently meeting all legal obligations pertaining to Vista driver support. If this is not satisfactory to you you can feel free to contact Customer Support with your suggestion to release drivers for older products. However, this thread is not appropriate for this forum and is now locked.

                                                                            BTW_12.0.0.9820.zip
         directly in Windows 8.1. Remember if the software is uninstall the Bluetooth will be disabled and
         Windows will not be able to see the device in the “Device Manager”
    Last step, use your own Windows 8.1 Pro Key and Office 2013 key to register and activated your legal copy of the Microsoft software’s.
    Final, enjoy.

  • Install iTunes on Windows XP Pro x64 Edition

    I just recently purchased a new system (Windows 64-bit) running XP Professional x64 Edition Service Pack 2.
    Is iTunes supported for XP Pro x64 Edition?
    Thanks for any help.

    No, there is no 64 bit edition of iTunes for Windows XP, only Vista.
    You can, however, install the 32 bit version. You will then have to download and install the 64 bit Gear drivers for burning from the Gear site:
    http://www.gearsoftware.com/support/drivers.cfm
    Unfortunately you can not get the 64 bit drivers for the iPhone and Touch. If you have one of these, you may find this link interesting:

  • SB0090 Windows XP Pro X64 ed. driv

    Hi all,
    I have tried just about every driver I can find and none of them seem to work for my Audigy Sb0090 card on my Windows xp pro x64 machine.
    If I run the one thats under Audigy > Soundblaster? on creatives website, it doesn't recognize that I have a sb0090. It just shows it as a A00 or something like that. I do however have sound to my speakers after installing the driver, but I do not have any sound to the front bay and my computer says that there is no driver to be installed for my "high definition audio buss".
    Is there any driver available for the x64 bit version of windows? or maybe my problem isn't the driver?
    Any help would be appriceated.
    System specs:
    Windows xp Pro x64 ed.
    AMD athalon 64 x2 3.0gHz?
    2gigs ram
    80gig hd
    Asus mobo..
    Sapphire HD5600 gfx card?

    Install the Vista drivers.
    EAX and such will work maybe. On XP32 Vista drivers are fine (the new beta XP is better), with EAX/Directsound working. It should work in XP64 the same.

  • XP PRO x64, Audigy 2 ZS, 5.1 Surround Speak

    I installed XP PRO x64 fresh and installed the latest driver from the creative website. When finished installing i rebooted the system and tried testing all speakers using the "THX Console" and i noticed that the rear channels are beeing redirected through the front channels. I made sure the cabels are ok and properly connected and 000 * dubbelchecked the control panel, audio console and THX console to see if 5. setup is enabled. Still the rear channels are redirected. I keep?"CMSS" modes?disabled at all times but if i select one of the modes of course i get sound over all speakers. My 5. setup works onther x32 perfect. My friend has x64 and his 5. works perfectly. What can/should i do to get a regular 5. setup?I use stereo for MP3 etc .. but for gaming i really depend on 5. surroundsound. Reinstalling drivers from the cdrom and creative website did not help nor cleaning up the registry. Is there a way arround this? I heard something about a AC3 filter as a posible sollution but how to configure it's?

    It just doesn't work with all drivers available (modded or official). And I don't think Creative will even fix it. Windows Vista x64 is not affected by the issue, although you need ALchemy to take advantage of Hardware processing. Did some tests here and got it working by specifying the amount of RAM that Windows can use. Try?/maxmem=3584 for 3.5GB of RAM, better than nothing, I think. I will update thread with their reply as nothing, even Driver Genius Professional 11 has located the actual working driver. Once an update is verified, I will post back to this thread since I couldn't find the right answer online.
    THIS BTW I TESTED IS INCORRECT [You may verify if you don't believe such] :

  • Can't install Windows 7 Pro x64 - device driver missing - can't eject DVD

    Hello,
    I am trying to install Windows 7 Pro x64 - I create the partition in boot camp and start windows install process. **During the Windows install process**, it says "A required CD/DVD device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now. Note: if the Windows installation media is in the CD/DVD drive, you can safely remove it for this step".
    Apparently the drivers are on the OSX install DVD. But, there is no way to eject the windows DVD! Why on earth is there no manual eject on Macs? Is there another way to eject? I tried to put a paperclick in the slot next to where a CD is inserted but it didn't do anything. Is there another way to get Windows to see the correct device drivers?
    I am all for clean slick designs, but when it does not have all required functionality, it is kind of useless.
    I am talking to Mac Support and they can't help.
    Looks like I will have to return this Mac, I also need to boot into full Windows (without Parallels or VMWare) to do my work.

    You don't mention what Mac you have, so I'd have to say there is almost no way to help.
    IF the 7 Pro x64 came download ISO thru EDU, you have to burn it, and if you use Disk Utility, at 2X reduced burn speed... otherwise it won't work.
    A VM isn't fussy and can use ISOs.
    If you want both native and VM, to have Windows installed on its own hard drive and use it under OS X, then you have to install it and use Boot Camp Assistant.

     I'm running windows 7 pro X64 and the software installed just fine, but not the driver.  Does Palm have any plans for a solution?  Are there any third party drivers that will solve my problem without having to install a bluetooth device on my pc?
    Post relates to: Centro (Verizon)

    Hello rpiquette, Welcome to the Palm Support Community!
    Palm has moved away from their legacy operating system (PalmOS) and on to a new one called webOS.  Since Palm Inc. doesn't even own their own software anymore (Palm Desktop) I'd seriously doubt any further support will be forthcoming for Win7, especially for 64-bit architecture.
    Palm Inc. has historically not divulged any "future plans" for software (or hardware).   Will a third-party develop a desktop client?  I have no idea at this point, but the opportunity certainly exists!

  • Can't connect to shared printer on Windows 7 Pro x64

    I have a print server on Windows 2008 Standard and I have drivers installed for both x86 and x64 archs. The ricoh printer seems to work fine on windows 7 pro x64 but the hp printer will not work correctly. It seems to download/install the drivers but when actually connecting to the printer it errors out.
    It says cannot connect to printer.
    I can add the printer manually if I use tcp/ip printing instead of connecting to the shared printer. I can't figure out why its not working. Has anyone else seen an error like this? I'm not really sure what is causing this issue.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    Thanks for the post.
    Please also let us know the exact model of this HP printer.
    If possible, please reproduce this issue on the Windows7 client and collect the relevant information for further research.
    Step 1: Download Process Monitor
    ======================
    1. Please download the Process Monitor at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx
    2. Extract the zip file to Desktop.
    Step 2: Clean Boot
    =============
    Let's disable all startup items and third party services when booting. This method will help us determine if this issue is caused by a loading program or service. Please perform the following steps:
    1. Click "Start", go to "Run", and type "msconfig" (without the quotation marks) in the open box to start the System Configuration Utility.
    2. Click the "Services" tab, check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box and click "Disable All" (if it is not gray).
    3. Click the "Startup" tab, click "Disable All" and click "OK".
    4. Click "OK" to restart your computer to Selective Startup environment.
    5. When the "System Configuration Utility" window appears, please check the "Don't show this message or launch the System Configuration Utility when Windows starts" box and click OK.
    6. Check whether or not the issue still appears in this environment.
    Note: Temporarily disabling the Startup Group only prevents the startup programs from loading at startup. This shouldn't affect the system or other programs. We may still manually run these programs later.
    Step 3: Collect the Information
    =====================
    1. Open Procmon.exe (Process Monitor).
    2. Reproduce this issue.
    3. After that, please click Capture in the tool bar (or directly press Ctrl+E) in Process Monitor.
    4. Click Save, in the prompt window, selects “All Events”.
    5. Click Browser Button (The button is right to “Path”), in the prompt window, click Desktop, type “test” (without the quotation marks) in the File Name box and press Enter.
    6. Find the file, right-click on this file, click "Send To", and click "Compressed (zipped) Folder".
    For your convenience, I have created a workspace for you.  You can upload the information files to the following link.  (Please choose "Send Files to Microsoft")

  • Desktop Windows Composition and Windows 8.1 Pro x64 [SOLVED]

    Hi, I'm Jenn, also new to these forums.
    I stumbled upon a problem when switching from Windows 7 x64 to Windows 8.1 Pro x64.
    I have the EXACT same setup, same laptop, same hardware, same programs, same configuration, everything.
    Windows 7 never did anything like the problem I now have in Win 8.1. Here's the problem;
    Whenever I run more than 1 3D application, after 1-5 minutes the screen blinks, and hangs the graphics of one, some or all the programs (randomly). It doesn't hang the actual program (or game), it just stops rendering the graphics -- I can still hear the software's
    sound and if I click around, I can hear myself interacting with it.
    I have ALL the latest drivers for the computer, motherboard, ALL devices including graphics cards etc. Also ALL Windows Updates installed, nothing more to install.
    All of the programs I use is specifically set to use only the nVidia adapter, forcibly through the nVidia Control Panel, so it's not a switching graphics problem because it's a laptop. Also, never was a problem in Windows 7 either.
    Here's what I gathered from event viewer right when it happened;
    A logon was attempted using explicit credentials.
    Subject:
    Security ID: SYSTEM
    Account Name: PIXIELIGHT$
    Account Domain: HYPERUNKNOWN
    Logon ID: 0x3E7
    Logon GUID: {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}
    Account Whose Credentials Were Used:
    Account Name: DWM-1
    Account Domain: Window Manager
    Logon GUID: {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}
    An account was successfully logged on.

    Process Information:
    Process ID: 0x304
    Process Name: C:\Windows\System32\winlogon.exe
    Special privileges assigned to new logon.

    Account Name: DWM-1
    Account Domain: Window Manager
    Logon ID: 0x3E3290A
    Logon Type: 2
    So as you can see, DWM is logging in and out some account that can be all the way up to DWM-7 from what I've seen so far. It just logs in, sets some parameters and the directly logs out.
    This is a ONE-user system, Only my user account is on it, and remote login has been disabled.
    In Windows 7, at least DWM could be disabled - not that I ever had to, because it worked with all my stuff, but seeing as DWM is screwing up totally in Win8, I thought I'd just disable the server, but it's nowhere to be found.
    Also, it seems Microsoft changed how it works, the system has been redesigned to generate an OK even if it's still on, like this example below:
    DwmEnableComposition( DWM_EC_DISABLECOMPOSITION ) does not work on Windows 8, even though it returns S_OK.  Confirmation is by calling DwmIsCompositionEnabled(), which shows the former function had no effect.
    There's only 1 dwm.exe running.
    There's only 1 user logged in (me).
    There's only 1 user in the userlist (except for the Administrator account).
    Running only 1 of the softwares at a time is not an option for me, either for work or for home use, so how can I fix this?
    // Jenn

    Hi Jenn,
    Please take a look at the following article.
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/hh848042(v=vs.85).aspx
    In Windows 8, Desktop Window Manager (DWM) is always ON and cannot be disabled by end users and apps.
    I suggest you to download and install the graphic driver from the manufacturer and check if this issue still exist.
    As you may have two graphic cards, we could temporally disable one and check if there are compatibility issues.
    Best regards,

  • Is there a version of iTunes that's compatible with XP Pro x64?

    At this time I don't want to upgrade to Win 7 or go back to 32-bit XP, since iTunes is the only application I'm having trouble with and I like XP Pro x64 in all other ways. Is there either a version of iTunes that's compatible with XP Pro x64, or can one of the other versions be modified to make it compatible? Thanks.

    Thanks! The procedure worked great for me (using iTunes 10), however there was one caveat. I also had to edit “AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi” with Orca and change the entry in “LaunchCondition” from
    VersionNT64>=600
    to
    VersionNT64>=501
    in order for the Device Manager driver update procedure to work, and iTunes to recognize my iPhone4. Prior to doing this, only “digital still camera” was displayed in the “imaging” entry in Device Manger. Once I did the above, “Apple Mobile Device USB Driver” was listed, and the procedure worked as written.
