Maybe you can check your hardwarezone page for more info. I really have to agree that I simply luv the MEGA PC180 too... [glow]Slick silvery speakers[/glow] with the combinations of black casing with [glow]fancy[/glow] display and the specs simply puts it in the 1st spot of the race...

MSI mega pc 180 front panel lcd ajustements

I've had some trouble with my hifi function and the lcd panel at the front of my mega pc 180. I made the mistake with the installing the greetings software. Now the lcd has fallen out and hifi dus no longer work. I was glad that the lcd had dropped out, as the light from this panel was anoying me, while I sleep next to it.
Is it possible to do the firmware upgrade, to get the panel and the hifi to work again, but also make it possible to shut down the panel whenever I would like to?
If not, I'm leaving the wrecked firmware as it is now

Mega 400 and MCE

Hi guys,
I built a (very) budget media center PC and have several problems. First of all I think my TV tuner card is overheating, because when I watch tv, after a few minutes/hours, the framerate drops and the video and sound aren't synchronized anymore. Also, I can't watch TV in Windows Media Center, it gives me an error that my video decoder is malfunctioning, while I tried several of them (PowerDVD, WinDVD, NVidia DVD Decoder), so I'm starting to suspect that the hardware doesn't support MCE or the video decoder(onboard video perhaps?)
Here are my specs:
MSI Mega PC 400
Amd Sempron 2200+
256 MB Ram, of which 64 MB are Video Memory <-- :( It was supposed to be 512 MB but some of the memory I got doesn't work properly)
Video/Sound onboard
Hauppage PVR150 MCE
Any Suggestions?

I have no experience with the Mega 400. However I'll make a few observations...
To determine if it's a heat problem leave the covers off and blow a fan at it. Also what temps are being reported in the LCD app ? However I don't think that's the problem.
256 MB memory is not enough. The Mega 180 on board video needs 128 MB to work properly with MCE. If you do that you won't have enough for a properly working XP system. Get up to 512 MB and your problems may go away.
The Sempron 2200+ is proabably a little too slow. When I got my Mega 180 I first tried an Athlon 2500+. At times the video playback was jerky. When I put my current 2800+ in everything worked fine. In addition the Sempron has less cache than the Athlon...
So the bottom line as I see it is you have a slowish CPU with not enough cache and not enough memory.

Mega TV Tuner for Mega PC 180 giving a clicking sound

Can anyone help me, I bought the Mega TV tuner for the Mega PC 180 and all I get is picture, but no sound except a clicking sound? I have tried downloading the latest drivers, which make no difference.

Few things to check.
If the sound software is the same as the 865 , make sure you haven't configured your sound card to 4 way sound (if you have then the line in will become your second set of speakers) If you need 4 speckers then plug the cable from your TV card into your mic. Again I am unsure of the TV card so if it has an internal sound cable connection then this would be the best to use and plug it in to the TV sound socket on board.
Next you need to make sure what source you have pluged it into is not muted. Normally when the software mutes the card it mute the line that the card is meant to come in on. So start up the software then check this input.
Last how have you set up the software as this need to know the import. Normally it is line in but this is not always the case.

I would like to purchase a Mega PC 180 with a TV tuner.
Is TV@nywhere Master card the only tv tuner compatible or other cards such as Personal Cinema FX5200 are also compatible ?
A last question : What kind of fan do you install on such machine ?

the recommended TV tuner is the Mega TV Tuner (MS8606-40) as it is a more compact size and comes without the FM tuner
as i couldn't find one anywhere in the UK, I went for the TV@nywhere Master (MS8606), which is virtually the same card, only a different size and with an FM tuner (which isn't used anyway)
it fits, but you'll find its a bit of a tight squeeze to get in
as for your question about the fan, there is no need, the mega pc comes with everything you need - except the cpu, memory, hard drive and optical (CD/DVD) drive...

Mega PC 180 Remote (HiFi Mode) and Eject problem SOLVED

I just bought the MSI DR8-A DVD Writer......... and Gues what..??!!??
- Now i don`t have any problems anymore with the Remote in HIFI mode (strange)
- Also the new drive will eject as it supose to ........
I am a very happy man now.
I am all set up, and my Home Media Center is complete Now.
Don`t understand some of you guys still having problems....

A pretty common trick used on Biostar SFFs (which are even smaller than the 180) is to add two Zalman 80 x 15 OP1 fans to the side panels. Left panel toward the front and right panel toward the rear. This gives a good cross ventilation flow and when you run the fans on the low voltage setting-----it is totally silent---so you haven't added any noise to the overall setup.

I have this excact problem too, Deleting the the app and then reinstalling it won't delete your photos as they are stored on facebooks servers. You will just have to remember you username and password to sign in again. Ever since Facbook bought instagram i have had this problem on my 4S too.

Cannot get my "log in" button to work for online banking. Stopped working about a week ago. Checked Time Warner Cable and the Bank and they said it's on your end. Can you help?

I have been online banking with TD Bank for years now and have never had a problem getting into the log in. About a week ago when I would click on the log in button, nothing would happen however I can get into every other link on that site. I contacted TD Bank and they said that my account was fine and I was not locked out and there were no security issues. I then called Time Warner and they checked my service and said nothing was wrong with my service and that it sounded like it was from my server since I was going through Firefox, I should call you guys and see if it is the problem.

I've a MEGA PC 180. I've connect it to my TV but when I want to play video (DVD or AVI) I don't have anything in the video window and I can see every other thing on screen.

To MSI: You might want to fix this (CPU Micro Code)!

Greetings, MSI team, I'm going to provide you with a little feedback which I hope is going to help you. I've recently bought the MSI G41M-P33 Combo motherboard. The problem is that as you've said in the description of your BIOS v32.2, there was updated CPU Micro Code. And yes, that's good, because without this update, the Pentium 4 520 which I installed wouldn't have worked, but from version 32.8 to 32.11 (your latest one), there's a huge problem which I think comes from the micro code. The Pentium 4 520 works absolutely fine with all BIOS version from 32.2 till 32.8, but if I flash a newer BIOS version than 32.8, the CPU freezes constantly and no normal work can be done on the machine, unless you disable Hyper Threading, then it works like it should, but HT makes the P4 520 a lot faster and having to disable it is a problem. So, I don't know what you've changed in the versions after 32.8, but the freezing with Hyper Threading enabled is not good and I think that this has something to do with the Micro Code. I hope that in the next BIOS version you fix that problem and that the CPU runs normally, like it did from version 32.2 to 32.8! Have a good day!

[Mega PC 180 Deluxe] Media Center III shows widescreen AVI in stretched fullscreen

Hey Guys,
I need some advice. I have Media Center Deluxe III running on my Mega PC 180 Deluxe and it works just fine... except for one titty bitty thingy:
All my DiVX widescreen films are stretched into fullscreen mode. Ergo, all of the film is stretched (long heads and stuff...)
How can this be prevented or solved, because it really is annoying.
Plz Help me with this!

I believe that function is only for viewing the videos from the preview window to fullscreen. I don't think it enables/disables "stretch mode" but i'll try that tonight.

If you had photos in Photoshop.com when the migration happened, then an account would be created for you on Revel using the same Adobe ID unless you had already created one.
Did you already have a Revel account when your files were migrated? If you did not, then the photos would move to <YOUR FIRST NAME HERE>'s library. If you already had an account with an existing library and photos, then migrated files would be moved to a library named "Photoshop.com library". To change libraries, use the menu on the upper left at adoberevel.com or go into Settings, if on an iPad or iPhone.
