Today I bought a Digiitalanywhere Digital TV Card, Fm Stereo with mini Digital Antenna.
DVB-T-PCI
Part No.G57-Cb00799-f45
Digital@nywhere(912-8623-002)
Digital @nywhere DVB-t Tuner,Fm,4 in 1 Av Cble, Remote Control Antenna
I installed it then used the drivers on the disc supplied
I launched the MSI/DigitalAnywhere tool
When I hit the t.v. or video it comes up with a message box
MSIDVBT.EXE Application Error
Stating:
The Instruction at "0x77f52a84" referenced memory at "0x00104001".The memory could not be "written"
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
Well after that, Lovely surprise!
I came here,
Downloaded the drivers,
Downloaded the application
Downloaded the patch
Uninstalled all drivers via Device Manager
Uninstalled software
reset comp
installed all the downloaded stuff
And hey presto the same Message box appeared
MSIDVBT.EXE Application Error
Which also states
The Instruction at "0x77f52a84" referenced memory at "0x00104001".The memory could not be "written"
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
I have repeated the uninstall many times today! and am lost!
I'm thinking about returning it for another make!
so please reply promptly thanx!

this is a user-to-user forum, no-one from MSI visits here. if you want to contact MSI tech support direct, look here: How to contact MSI.
this forum isn't very busy normally, so its not unusual to get no replies in the 40 minutes between your first post and your second
secondly, there haven't been many postings about the Digital@nywhere card, so either no-one knows much about them, or they are such good cards that no-one has needed to come here for help yet
some suggestions to try, have you tried the card in another PCI slot?
also, i notice your board is a SLI type, with PCI-Express. look at glenns comments in the "TheaterPRO install issues" sticky about lack of resources on PCI-e mobos
finally, if you do go for a competitors brand, i suggest you get an Asus - their forum is very lively and helpful

I have been having a similar problem in a few reports. From what I can tell the problem is caused by a combination of dynamically supressing blank report sections based on lack of data and having "page n of m" in the page footer. It seems like the report designer can't figure out the page count on preview and crystal dies. I took the page n of m out of the report and the behavior seems to have stopped.
When I schedule the report to run in crystal enterprise and then view the report using the DHTML viewer, I do not have any problems. My solution for now is to take out the page n of m from the footer until the report is published to production.
Anyone else have any thoughts?

• WINWORD.EXE -Application Error The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click ok to close the application

HI
when i am trying to open MSWord following message pop up and i can't open MSword any more:
WINWORD.EXE -Application Error The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click ok to close the application.
Please advise

Hi,
Does Word start in Safe Mode?
Press Win key + R, type "winword.exe /safe" in the blank box, press Enter.
If Word can start in Safe Mode, the issue should be related to 3rd-party add-ins, disable the suspicious add-ins to determine which one caused the problem.
You can also try repairing Office from Control Panel -> Programs and Features, check if this helps.

Hi Tim,
Uninstalling
KB3045999 works as a workaround like Wastashi said. We too have this problem.
@Karen Hu: Startup repair didn't find anything here and this is probably because the system boots properly but only after a user logs in the "Error: userinit.exe - Application Error : The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000018)"
appears. Safe mode works however and after I disabled all the startup items and rebooted I could successfully logon once, but this could be coincidence because sometimes after a reboot you can login as pointed out by Tim NL. However a few seconds
after I successfully logged in and saw the desktop, the pc rebooted spontaneously. Any idea what this could be causing? Virus scanner maybe?

• Acrodist.exe application error

I installed Adobe Acrobat 7.0 successfully. But when I convert a word file into PDF file, a error message pop-up as " AcroDist.exe application error --- the instruction at "0x0048C9e5" referenced memory at "0x0190eb6c", The memory could not be "read" Click on OK to terminate the program "
If I click the program Acrobat Distiller, the same message box shows up.
I tried to uninstalled and re-installed. Couldn't solve the problem.
need help.

This problem came up on my laptop today and I have found a solution, at least on mine. I was getting the exact same error as above (with different memory locations) when I tried to start Distiller (Acrobat 7.0). It had worked fine for years. On mine it was limited to my specific user account. I could run Distiller fine from the Administrator account. I also created a new standard user account to test with and it ran fine from that one as well. But it wouldn't run from my personal account. So I knew it was something with that specific account.
To make a long story short, it ended up being a corrupt cache. You can find the cache in the following location:
C:\Documents and Settings\[your user name]\Application Data\Adobe\Acrobat\Distiller 7\
What I did was just rename the old cache folder and let distiller recreate it. That fixed it. Good luck.

Win XP Home SP2
Installed Firefox, but receive the following error message:
firefox.exe +application error +the application failed to initialize properly (0x0150004) +click on OK to terminate the application.
Have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, but same message. Firefox won't even open.

Usually someone has been down the track before and occasionally they post some useful details which may help others to investigate and/or eliminate factors in their particular case.
This AccessibleMarshal.dll error seems to have a long history --- posts from 2006 with early Firefox versions had issues similar to yours.
There is a link and an excerpt below which could be worth checking in your case,
particularly since it mentions the problem would occur on a clean install (no previous instance of Firefox on the system and Windows before Vista --??)
Have a look here:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=712960
and the post to read:
'''Mark Banner (:standard8) 2011-12-22 12:55:21 PST'''
"Created attachment 583905 [details] [diff] [review]
Add the Win32 redistributable directory to the mozconfigs"
"Somehow we missed shipping the Win32 Redistributables from Visual C++. We didn't detect this as it would only show on Windows versions less than Vista, and you'd probably only see it if you had a completely clean install, and you didn't have the dlls installed elsewhere (as it appears my XP system does)."
"If you're seeing this then you want to copy the following files from a Firefox installation:
Microsoft.VC80.CRT.manifest
msvcm80.dll
msvcp80.dll
msvcr80.dll
The patch I'm attaching updates our configuration files to specify the Win32 redistribution directory, which will then cause the build system to include the files in the build."
.... ends....
The earlier 2006 instances also had the same issue in some cases:

Hope this progresses the search and resolution.

oddly enough, these ones typically respond better to brute force than they do to finesse. rather than uninstalling QuickTime first, try doing a standalone QuickTime 7.1.5 install "over the top" of what you've already got in there:
Quicktime 7.1.5 Installers … get the one that doesn’t mention iTunes
if the standalone install goes through okay, does your iTunes start launching properly again?

• Javaw.exe - Application Error while running JWS

Hi!
I have been working to change our application to work with JWS.
I seem to have solved all hurdles and the application runs perfectly as we want it on my computer.
It works perfectly well on my Win NT and another Win 2000 machine, but other people have problems.
On the machines my application does not work, they have JWS installed all right and they can run the demo applications without any problem.
They can also run my application some time at random.
The error they keep getting is a
Javaw.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "xxxx" referenced memory at "xxxx", the memory could not be "read".
Has anybody had this problem? Any help is appreciated.
This error does not happen on my NT no matter how many times I try to break it.
Thanks
-Nawaz

I Found the problem.
I increased the heap size of the JVm and everything is fine.

• Getting Firefox.exe Application Error on closing firefox

Locking duplicate thread.
Please continue here: [[/questions/1002236]]
Hi I have Firefox Browser 29.0.1 and on Windows XP - and I am the least tech savvy person ever. Every time I close The Browser / Firefox I get a pop-up screen Firefox.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x0301230e" referenced memory at "0x00000004", The memory could not be "read" click on OK to terminate the program. It dosen't appear to be affecting the operation of anything, but is annoying, regardless of whether I click OK or just close the box with "X" nothing happens - but I'd like to get rid of this, if possible

Hello,
Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a ''Clean reinstall''. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
'''Note:''' You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
#Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
#After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
#Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
#*'''Windows:'''
#**C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
#**C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
#*'''Mac:''' Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
#*'''Linux:''' If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see [[Installing Firefox on Linux]]. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the [http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop Firefox download page], simply remove the folder ''firefox'' in your home directory.
#Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
##Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
##Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
More information about reinstalling Firefox can be found [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems?esab=a&s=troubleshooting&r=3&as=s#w_5-reinstall-firefox here].
WARNING: Do not run Firefox's uninstaller or use a third party remover as part of this process, because that could permanently delete your Firefox data, including but not limited to, extensions, cache, cookies, bookmarks, personal settings and saved passwords. These cannot be recovered unless they have been backed up to an external device!
Please report back to see if this helped you!
Thank you.
