  • Windows 7 can't recognize my AMD Radeon HD 6970M 1024 MB graphics card

    Hey community -
    I am having issues running Star Wars the Old Republic on my brand new iMac desktop with Windows 7 installed. I am getting an error message that is associated with the fact that WINDOWS 7 will NOT recognize my AMD Radeon HD 6970M 1024 MB graphics card. Under the displays/drivers it's showing up as standard VGA graphics, which won't cut it.
    I was recently having an issue missing drivers for my network card, which I fixed by going back through bootcamp and using a startup disk with all the drivers I needed.
    HOW do I get Windows 7 to pickup/detect my Radeon? Help!
    -Monty

    You can install the AMD HD RADION Mobile drivers which work from.
    If your Graphics card number ends in M
    http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/radeonmob_win7-64.aspx#2
    This also depends on if you installed 32bit windows or 64 bit. you will need the 32bit drivers if installed 32 bit windows.
    Download the full package under individual downloads.
    But before you install the amd drivers you may  need to install the boot camp drivers again, which include the motherboard drivers, sound, usb, etc etc etc.

    ORA-04030: out of process memory when trying to allocate 1024 bytes (callheap,RPI allocations)

    It seams that you have the problem described in "How to handle ORA-04030". As I wrote in the other thread it is an OS configuration problem.

  • Edge Animate CC 2014 issue with SVG - Images greater than 1024 x 1024

    Hi, since i updated my Edge Animate CC for Edge Animate CC 2014 i have issues when i import .svg files. Edge told me "Images greater than 1024 may cause unexpected behavior on mobile device" when i import .svg files smaller than 1024 x 1024 ?
    When i publish my animation i have a weird things happening and my image scaling default is 10% instead of 100% when i import. Someone had this issue ? Something we can do ? My images a less then 1024 x 1024 and work perfectly in Edge Animate CC 2.0

    Ok. I've solved. I needed to load some things:
    EC.Parallax.setup (sym);
    The full code (that works for me) is:
    -- compositionReady:
    EC.Parallax.setup(sym);
    // Load Edge Commons
    yepnope({
    load: [
    "http://cdn.edgecommons.org/an/1.1.0/js/min/EdgeCommons.js",
    // Load style sheet for the overlay
    "http://cdn.edgecommons.org/an/1.1.0/css/style.css"
    -- click
    // Open image in spotlight overlay
    // Set up configuration
    var config = {
    width: "1024",
    height: "768",
    type: "image",
    source: "images/dog.jpg"
    EC.Spotlight.open( config );
    I hope to serve others.

  • Help Please: Can't run 1280 x 1024 after update (Solved)

    My display has changed to 1024 x 768, and my monitor is not listed in gnome display settings.  Was working fine up until only minutes ago.  Display went to sleep while I was away and when I woke it the settings were changed.
    What can I do?
    Thank you. Brian
    Edit:
    After looking around I think my xorg.conf file changed.
    When I re-run 'Xorg -configure' it returns an error stating that the number of screens detected does not match...
    The current log file Xorg.0.log [1], an old log file Xorg.12.0.log [2], and the log from the configure command above Xorg.configure.log [3] can be viewed here.

    With these, I'm not sure running "xrandr -s 1280x1024" will work.
    I think you need to use something like:
    Section "Monitor0"
    Identifier "VGA-1"
    Modeline "1280x1024_75.00" 138.75 1280 1368 1504 1728 1024 1027 1034 1072 -hsync +vsync
    Option "PreferredMode" "1280x1024_75.00"
    EndSection
    Use the "official" modeline calculator to get the Modeline (refresh rates from the manufacturer website, I hope), restart X, and there you have it. It worked for someone once: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=140496

    I get the error message as soon as Windows opens and the desktop displays.  Then it goes black with that message.  I've been using the computer for awhile and I had it so that when I maximized a window it would go across both screens.  I have two monitors on the graphics card.  Somehow I changed the settings so that a program would maximize to one monitor or the other.   That is how I want it to work.  Maybe I activated HydraVision.  Now I have the problem when I start.
    Also now when I boot to Safe Mode I get the message that there is no AMD graphics driver installed, or it is not functioning properly.  I have tried to update it and the computer tells me I have the most recent version installed.   I would like to uninstall it and reinstall it, but I'm a little worried I won't get it installed and be without video.  Something like that happened to me once before years ago.
    Could someone tell me what I should do please?
    Thanks,
    Jim Allen

    HP support is here:

    In safe mode you should uninstall the driver, then try to boot normal again.
    Then check if driver was installed by win7.
    If not go go AMD website and download latest driver for your card.

  • WS_DOWNLOAD and line item with more than 1024 characters

    I want to download a file with line size greater than 1024. I am in version 40B and when i use function module ws_download and it creates two lines instead of one. Is there a solution with another function module or something else?

    Hi
    Are you trying to download in binary format(filetype BIN) ?. Only binary format has length constraint of 1023 characters. Download in 'ASC' or 'DAT' format.
    Also WS_DOWNLOAD is obsolete , use the methods of class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES.

  • Seeking a CRT, 1024/768 Monitor...

    I have an aging 9 yr. old Sony Trinitron 17 inch which works great on my new MacMini; however the monitor needs to be replaced due to white dimming and contrast is slipping so letters are not as crisp. I have tried twice to get new monitors but they have distortion problems unable to give a true squared off display like the Sony. Yes, I used all the OSD settings to wrestle the monitor into shape, so to speak. But they also show inconsistent white color across the display.
    I am now in process of getting replacements from the Viewsonic and Lenovo. Hopefully they will work better. I really need a monitor that is accurate for color and shape and bright. I am tried of spending funds and returns. Please, I need to know why the Sony works right and the others wont. I am a legally blind guy (hence the low res) who enjoys doing graphic design so a correct monitor is important. I love my MacMini, now it just needs a good display. Help!

    The problem with LCD displays is that by the very nature of LCDs, they are, essentially, fixed resolution. That's why they each have a 'native' resolution at which they work best. Unlike a CRT where the screen is a continuous coating of phosphor, and each dot lit by a scanning beam making it possible to switch between all available resolutions with no incremental degradation of sharpness, LCDs screens are comprised of physical 'dots' (the LCDs themselves in fact). The number of LCDs dictates what the native resolution is - for example, a 15" panel has 1024 LCDs horizontally, and 768 vertically. 17 and 19 inch panels have 1280 horizontally by 1024 vertically.
    LCD displays can operate at lower resolution than their native settings, but in effect only by interpreting the signal, which along with the fact that then the edges of objects don't correspond to the exact edges of the LCDs themselves, gives the edges that fuzziness.
    Many people with significant visual disability are left with the choice of buying very large LCD screens in order to get a usable image or hunting for the few remaining CRT screens. Some of the LCD manufacturers, aware of these problems, have been working on improved displays which give sharper results below their native settings, (and LCDs have been steadily improving over the years in this respect too) but even the best are still relatively poor compared to the sharpness achievable with a good CRT.
    LCDs with DVI really are a significant improvement though, because DVI enables the system to communicate with the display without 'translating' the digital signal inside to the computer to analog signal for use by the display. That process of translating it causes degradation, which results in less contrast, lower brightness, softer color and less crispness. A DVI display will therefore look much better, because it is sharper/brighter to begin with and while it will still suffer fuzziness when set below the native resolution, will give much better results than an equivalent VGA device.
    Sadly though, it's LCD technology itself which is the cause of your problem, and it may well be, depending on the degree of impairment and your particular sensitivities, that a CRT will be the only real solution. I'd recommend you have a look at good display models such as the Dell Ultrasharp range before you give up on LCDs, though these may well be stretching your budget.
    As such, it might be a better solution, certainly for the short term, to find a used CRT with relatively little use, and which should be quite inexpensive, thus giving you time to look around for a good LCD, and for prices of high quality LCDs to drop a little more. I know that many companies have been throwing often very good quality CRT displays away over the last couple of years as they have upgraded to LCDs, so there's been no shortage of used ones around - often free if you know where to look!
    You don't say where you're located, but you might find there's a local center in your area offering specialized help and support for the disabled and which may be able to put you in touch with sources for such things. I'd start by contacting your town/city hall to see if they run such a place, or know of one. Alternatively, your doctor may know.

  • What is port 1024 for?

    What is port 1024 for?
    thanks,
    tim

    ...port 1024 for UDP and TCP are reserved by IANA and thus should not be used for anything.Yes but your first answer was probably closer to the truth. Even numbers in the range 0-1023 might not actually be used for what the say they are.
    Since 1024 is reserved, it shouldn't be used. If it is being used, then the only way to find out for what is by investigating it.

  • Change to 1280 X 1024 windows resolution

    HP ZBook 15u G2 have 1920 X 1080 max resolution. As i read in quickspecs.Can we select 1280 X 1024 resolution by using this laptop?

    You can only select the resolutions that the installed LED panel supports.If you do not see 1280x1024 resolution in the Display page, then you will not be able to set it. Notebook LED Display panels are not the same as Dedicated Desktop Monitors.Desktop monitors are made to use a wide range of Display resolutions.Notebook screens are limited to three or lesser resolution options.

  • How can i sharpen my Video in dreamweaver CC with resolution 1280 x 1024

    I am using dreamweaver cc. Recently I made a power point video and then converted it to a swf video file. I am in the process of making a digital announcer page/ message board.
    I made the video to fit screen with 280 x 1024 so it became blury. how can i remove the blur at the same time keep my resolution?

    If the actual video is smaller that 280 x 1024 and you're using html/css to enlarge it to that size, there's really nothing in DW that can help. You would need to recreate the video to the correct final resolution in whatever program you used to create it.

  • T60 Max Display Resolution only 1024 X768?

    I just got this T60 Model 2008-GG8 with an ATI Mobility Radeon X1300 Video Card.
    Can this T60 display a greater resolution than 1024 X 768?  I would like to get more desktop real estate, but this seems to be the maximum setting.  Does it need a different driver or something?  Thanks!

    you have the xga screen resolution, so that is the maximum your internal lcd will display, if you get a sxga+ LCD, then it would be more. If you want more resolution try to connect to an external monitor, or swap out the internal LCD (will avoid any remaining warranty on your laptop).

  • Tecra M5-106: Display with 1024 * 768 resolution is not clear

    I buy Toshiba Tecra M5-106, it is 14.1" screen.
    When i set the screen resolution to 1024 * 768, every thing comes not clear... also the fonts is not good. Could be the sharpness or other?
    Any one see this before, or have solution for this?
    Solving this is highly appreciated.
    Ragards,

    Hello Bualim,
    The M5 is a really great notebook with very good characteristics. There are versions of this notebook with a NVIDIA graphic card (NVIDIA® Quadro® NVS 110M 128 MB DDR2) and others with an INTEL chipset. I don't know which one your model has unless you post the model code that is printed under your notebook.
    According to some research I made, the native resolution of your monitor should be 1400x1050 so you should leave your notebook to work in this resolution rather than something lower like 1024x768.
    You might say, "the fontsize is too small in 1400x1050", nevertheless you should NOT change into lower resolution (the common procedure done on the old CRT Monitor) but have the size adjusted through Window's "Appearance settings" on the "Display properties". This is the right way to go on a TFT screen (notebook): Always keep the maximum (your native) resolution and adjust the size of icons and fonts through software settings within windows.
    Ok, getting back to your problem now:
    =Have you all display drivers loaded into your system? (The correct ones for your graphic card?)
    =Is your Graphic card recognized correctly in the "Device manager menu" without any "yellow conflict" signs?
    You will find the most (Toshiba supplied) recent Display drivers in the dedicated upgrade section for your model. Here is a tiny-link to the Toshiba Display driver for your model. Make sure to choose the correct chipset (nvidia OR INTEL).
