MSNBC problem with video streaming

Hi, can anyone help me with this problem : I have a DELL netbook (specs below) that works just fine. However, in order to get reasonable video quality a recent driver from Intel had to be installed. That done, most video playback and video streaming are reasonable given the cpu power of the atom processor inherent to all netbooks.
However, the MSNBC site, one of my favorites for news sports and entertainement, is really uneven in quality and sometimes unwatchable using the flashplayer 10 plugin (I use IE 6, for now). To the contrary, MSNBC also offers webcasts that open using WMP and not flashplayer and the quality is fine ! I have checked that it is neither my internet connection nor my antivirus software behind the problem.
In short, I get choppy video from the MSNBC site, with some audio delay, and I cant tell whether it's a problem from their site or the flashplayer itself.

Why it does not start in Captivate?

It would help to know what videos you are having trouble with? Are these from specific internet links? Are these playing back commercial DVDs? Are these videos produced by iMovie, Final Cut Pro, or iDVD of home video? Are these videos imported from an external Firewire or USB adapter such as Elgato's devices. You give us little to go on. Please give us more details what is going on?

I just noticed that one of the restore methods you posted was to put it into Disk Mode First rather than just use the resstore straight off, I Have tried that and seems to have solved the problem, If it has thank you. previously I have only tried just restoring it skipping this extra step. Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad above the volume switch, or via control centre : swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and it's the right-most of the 5 icons in the middle of it (if the icon is white then it's 'on', tap it to turn it grey and 'off'). You need to create a play list of songs that you would use for movies - mine is called Music for Movies. Then when you click on the music icon (the first box in the line of 5 in the grey bar across the lower third of the screen) and a drop down menu will appear showing all your play lists. Then simply drag and drop, but make sure that you hover over the video clip that you want to add the music to. If you don't the music will be added to the start of your presentation. You can always move the position afterwards. NOTE - if you want to add to your play list do it before you start your video editing as the list does not always update when I Movie.

Problem with Video capture Device

i have a problem with FME. i am using Avermedia TV capture
device and Canon 3ccd Digital Video Camcorder ( PAL ) when i open
the FME interface the warning given for " Problem with Video
Capture Device".

Regarding the devices not working - the main problem we see
is that the system requirements are not being met. Here is what to
check for:
- are you running on Windows XP (only supported OS right
now)?
- do you have DirectX client runtime version 9c or higher
installed?
- do you have hardware acceleration enabled?
- do you have 32bit graphics enabled?
- do you have the latest direct show drivers from the
card/device manufacturer?

All is normal , functional, audio, text, etc. but I have problem with video chat be iChat. (3,1) According info from Motorola support is this cable modem without firewall and without any ports, cable TV provider was inform me, so in his server is none block none ports for me, therefore I have maybe any problem in me computer. Do you have your firewall active on your mac? (System preferences>Sharing>Firewall) If the firewall is on, you need to open some ports.
Report back and give us more details on your set up to troubleshoot your issue.

Flash Media Encoder 2.5 working without any errors

The second message that you are getting "The selected audio device "Beholder Aud Capture (SAA7135)" doesn't allow setting volume intensity. Disabling the volume slider control." is because your device does not let you change intensity of volume. This warning message is just to tell user that volume slider will remain disabled for the selecetd device. This is new addition in FMLE 3.0 and was not there in FMLE 2.5
Also for first message, please make sure that no other instance of FMLE is already running using this device. You can verify this from task manager. If any other instance of FMLE is running then please close that instance so that device gets free for new instance.

Problem with video capture device, with a virtual camera

I try to use Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder 3 with a virtual camera(DirectShow Filter) but met such a problem:
"Error connecting input preview RGB filter."

Hi all,
I have a problem with video games on Windows 8.1.
On my Windows 7 I could play all games without any problems.
Now I installed Windows 8.1 and I have problems with running video games: lower FPS, game breakdowns and sometimes even texture problems inside the game.
I tried to reinstall both Windows and Graphic drivers. I tried several versions of drivers.
I have Radeon HD 6870 and AMD Phenom II X4 955, SSD disk, 12 GB RAM.
The point is: the same games works perfect on Windows 7 but doesn't work right on Windows 8.1.
Can you, please, tell me if is there any other solution except going back to Windows 7 ?

Unfortunately that is not all that uncommon for the Early Intel iMac's given there age and the fact that the air intakes are probably choked with dust. Then add the extra heat caused by running a more intense OS X which is causing it to run a little warmer than normal and putting extra stress on the graphic and display components.
My 6½ year old 17" Early 2006 Core Duo w/2GB of RAM is also running 10.6.8 and is also starting to get a single line that (knock on wood) goes away after a few minutes, while many others started getting permanent ones after 2 or 3 years. One thing that I think has helped, is that about every 3 or 4 months I shutdown and vigorously vacuum out the bottom grill work and small vent under the stand to keep it running cool.
On that note: unfortunately I can only suggest that you clean your intake vents and hope that no permanent or irreversible damage has been done.

Regular problem with video playback & audio video sync

So, I am regularly having two problems (I wonder whether they are connected) that I cannot solve and am hoping someone can tell me if I am out of luck or if I need to do something or add something.
For example, because it happened again today. These are details about the file stuff:
Type:AVI
Bit Rate:133kbps
Dimensions:624x352
Audio format: LameMP3
Frame rate: 23 frames/second
Data Rate: 1131 kbps
Video Sample Size: 12 bit
Video Compression: XVID
First Problem: If I play the file - I use Media Player Classic - it plays fine. Open it in Windows Media Player and it plays fine. Try to edit it in Premiere and the file loaded into Premiere is filled with what I believe are called audio video sync problems, so I have to constantly unlink audio and video and adjust it. It loads and does not need to conform.
I have the same problem on my laptop(Windows XP Home) and desktop (XP Pro), the desktop with twice the RAM. I have the K-lite Mega codec pack installed. I would call myself a beginner when it comes to video editing. I understand generally what codecs are but I am not capable to making any tweaks to the K-lite Mega codec pack (if I should have) so it is setup as installed.
Second Problem: The video in the playback box never plays back normally. I have tried adjusting the playback settings: have changed the aspect ratio between the software and harware option and adjusted between the three desktop display options. Occasionally it is "ok" but most of the time not and never just normal.
Any help is much appreciated.

So this is where I am at now:
Files all seem to be of the same type, so I will just say "the file" for the one I am working with right now.
Loaded file into VirtualDub. I like that program. Well done, whoever made it. Did some basic cutting of unwanted stuff. Saved as AVI. Saved both a Direct Stream Copy and a Full Processing Copy.
Opened the FP copy in Premiere Elements and it plays without audio sync problems that I can see. Have edited it some so far and still no problems.
Before I do any more editing work, I decided to save it (SHARE) in different formats to see what happens.
Goal: Looking for no audio sync problems. Best quality I can get with a 1GB file size limit.
Saved as DV-AVI: plays fine. no audio sync probelms. love the video quality. 2.95GB, so too big
Saved as Flash: Do not see any audio sync problems. Do NOT like the quality (flips back and forth between clear and all pixely (is that a word). 32 MG
Saved as Mpeg: Media Player won't play it (thought Media Player with KL Mega Codec played everything?) (It loads it but doesn't play?); Quicktime won't play it. Windows Media Player just did. Do not see any audio sync problems. Like the video quality. 631 MB.
Saved as Windows Media: Do not "think" there are any audio sync problems; if there are, they are very subtle. Not crazy about video quality. Better than flash video option though still flickers between two types of qaulity (if that makes sense) . 52MB
Any suggestions as to what I should do at this point to meet my stated goal. I assume [share]ing is what I should do? Is there any exporting or any other options I do not know about. Without your help I figure I will Share to MPEG? Not sure why Media Player won't play it and Windows Media Player will?
Any thoughts on the best choice for me? Thanks for your help.
