Mso vertical & horizontal orientation error

I made an mso (zoom in and zoom out of a photo in indesign) it works fine without error in indesign, it also work well when viewed in adobe content viewer.
The problem is when I uploaded the file to the ipad, the overlay effect does not work together on both vertical and horizontal.
If i browse the vertical first, it works fine, but when rotated to horizontal layout, it doest work. It happens vice-versa. It depends on what orientation i will view first, and when rotated, it does not work anymore.
I need to go back and press the home button and go back to when i last visited to make it work.
I checked on the other project i made and the mso (photo zoom in/out) works well on both orientation.

Does the MSO have the same name in the Object States panel in both layouts? If so, make sure the state names are also the same in the two layouts.

Hi,
As per the requirement, we have to set multiple overlays on few pages. E.g. if on vertical orientation there is multiplay overlay (scrollable frame in Object State) then on horizontal orientation the button (button to dispaly the object state) do not work.Please suggest the solution or the workaround for the same.

Vertical Orientation:
There are 4 scrollable contents in my MSO which I'm calling from button. In Description,
- there are 4 MSOs and each MSO contains the scrollable content (with pan only method)
- there are 4 buttons on top and by click on each button I call-up the requested MSO.
Horizontal Orientation:
- there are 7 thumb graphics in initial view
- I created 7 full page graphics and put them in MSO
- call each graphic by clicking on the thumb.
In the above scenario the vertical orientation is working well but on the horizontal orientation the button doesn't work. I even try to rename the MSO, layer and its sub-layer but no success.
Please suggest.

I have already tried holding down the power button and home button for 10 seconds, but no difference.

I've had this problem on and off for the last few weeks (around, but not directly related, to upgrade to 6.1...can't remember if was before or after)....I'm very convinced it's a software problem (as there have been times when the bottom row works perfectly, without any need to "press" differently or anything).
However, it seems to be a rather resilient software issue, as a full restore does not consistently fix it, and it applies to more than just the keyboard; if I open a drawing app, there's definitely a row (about 4mm up from the edge of the screen closest to home button) where I cannot draw.
It's happened 4 times now. Originally it went away with a restore from backup, then worked for 2 more days. The second and third times, it went away with a full restore (although I did two full restores in between those two restores that did nothing, so restore didn't consistently fix it)....and it seemed to return in the most random of circumstances.
I paid very close attention to what apps I was using the last time it was working so that I could spot which app, if any, might be causing the issue. I deleted several apps, I stopped using the games and many other apps. I only used three apps between it working fine and starting up as a problem again: mail, safari and messages.
I was convinced it was mail, as it happened this morning when I picked up my phone off the bedside table to respond to a new email. It was working when I went to bed. I picked up the phone when it buzzed, hit the email app, hit reply and started to type....**** bottom row wasn't working again.
However, tonight I did 2 things....one of them worked because it went back to normal (sorry, I don't know which as I was exasperated and trying a number of things).
The two things I did between a broken keyboard and a working keyboard were:
1) adding a second keyboard (English(Canada)), changing to this keyboard, and changing back
2) disabling Siri...and then turning it back on...and then disabling Siri's "Raise to Speak"
In retrospect, I wonder if it actually was the "Raise to Speak" that was putting the phone into a weird state, and might explain why the phone would just "suddenly" start behaving strangely when I picked it up. Of note, the "raise to speak" hasn't actually triggered Siri to come on in months anyway.
Regardless, the keyboard is back to normal now...and I'm just going to leave "Raise to Speak" off. I've put the keyboard back to just "English" with no alternates and Siri remains on otherwise without issue.

When tap orientation lock in control center, horizontal orientation change to vertical orientation, why?

I need horizontal orientation screen lock, but I can't get it now.
I am using iphone 6 and iPhone 4s

I know the 4S only locks in vertical (portrait) orientation. I do not have a 6 to try with but my guess is that it is the same. The 6+ may lock in horizontal (landscape) orientation.

It's not clear in the steps you are using. Are you setting the zoom level first before previewing or setting the zoom after previewing?
First post you said you were setting zoom to level 2, now you say you are setting zoom to level 300????
And Horizontal is Landscape and vertical is Portrait correct?
If you set the Zoom to 300 % you will have to scroll across, horizontal bar should be enabled.
If I set it to 1 then it fits the width:

Horizontal orientation YouTube video

The orientation of widescreen video on iphone places the bottom of the video on the left side of the phone.
Most folks are right handed, and this fits much better with the natural motion of that hand, bending the wrist to transition from the vertical position to horizontal.
However, the side volume controls (now at the bottom) are now backwards. The button on the right is volume down and on the left is volume up. This contradicts the volume display on the screen where increasing volume moves to the right. This feels wrong to me.
I also find the headphone cable/jack, now at the bottom left, to be in the way. IMHO, it would be better at the top right if the orientation was switched.
Curious if anyone else would like to see the horizontal orientation configurable.

I'm just assuming that Apple is just leaving it as it is for now when they released it.
If it becomes prominent, I'm sure Apple can add a setting so that when you view it horizontally, the buttons will work in "parallel" with the volume bar.
I think Apple is just looking to quickly finish and polish what they can out of the core features of the iPhones (delaying OS X to get iPhone out the door).
I mean, a lot of people are asking for instant messaging, flash, more multimedia format compatibilities, etc. More than likely they will add these features.
It's just a matter of time : )

How to make Canvas on a JSCrollPane Vertical/Horizontal splittable

I have a JScrollPane on which i placed a JTree(Vertical/Horizontal Scrollable)
I have a ScrollPane on which i placed a Canvas(Vertical/Horizontal Scrollable)
I was able to do it but, its splitting towards the JScrollPane area only.
So i tried to make a JScrollPane and tried to add a Canvas to it setting the options as JScrollPane.VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR_ALWAYS, JScrollPane.HORIZONTAL_SCROLLBAR_ALWAYS.
But the problem is its showing the Scrollable bars but not able to Scroll when more images are there on the Canvas.
My problem will be solved if i was able to add a Canvas to the JScrollPane with Vertical/Horizontal Scrollable.

Don't mix Swing and AWT components. Don't use a Canvas. Use a JPanel instead.

"Non-destructive" is really a "term of art" used as shorthand for "without affecting the original pxels of the image". The opposite doesn't really or necessarily imply that the pixels get destroyed or damaged, simply transformed in some way. That can be beneficial to the image, of course.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Why won't the horizontal orientation display any longer?

I am currently working on some layouts for DPS, and have both Horizontal and Portrait views of my document in separate .indd files. Up until today, I have been able to view both portrait and horizontal orientations in the Adobe Content Viewer, but now it is only showing portrait. I have double checked the iPad's orientation, and the orientation lock is OFF. I also attempted to delete the Content Viewer and re-loaded it onto my iPad, and it has not resolved the issue.
Does anyone have any feedback about this problem or encountered it before?

Actually, I've got an issue with Vertical Text Orientation.
Is there a way to do this in CF?
I know that as far as the report builder is concerned, there
is a property called x-axis orientation in the file default.xml
(CFusionMX7\charting\styles\default.xml) which you can set to
Vertical for that matter.
This is ok, for charts in cfreport builder I've got no
problem with the vertical orientation of the x-axis labels.
I want to reproduce the same in CF e.g.

Vertical & Horizontal layouts

Hi All,
Need some advice if possible? We have been give the task to covert a printed magazine into a digital iPad format. The client has sent us only the PDF's that are sent to the printers! we have cut and added them into a Vertical layout but we need to add them to a Horizontal layout - which we have done - problem is we are seeing double the horizontal spreads...
We are new to DPS and folio builder and can’t seem to figure this out.
This is how we see it - that is if its possible at all?
Page 1_v (veritcal)
Page 1 & 2 (stitched together) for _h (horizontal) mode
So when they turn the iPad they can see it in landscape view... simple!
Problem is we have when we come to “Page 2_v” we need to have “Page 1 & 2_h” again? so when the user reads it in Horizontal mode it will show “Page 1 & 2 twice” we cant have a blank missing page as the folio will say error.
Hope that make sense...

This is the workflow... but this is at the end off all the Horizontal pages and we still need to add verticals only after this..
1) Set up duel layout v and h
2) design... (this is the last horizontal page) we still have to add vertical pages only)
3) Add in articles both V and H (as last H page)
4) now we need to add only the vertical pages going forward..
We add the name in - turn off landscape layout as we have done all the H ones and wehen uploaded we get the below error...

How to resize watermark to be the same size for vertical/horizontal images?

I am using File -> Place menu to place my watermark onto the images.
No matter what I try so far, the absolute size of the watermark comes out different Portrait/Landscape images.
Watermark is smaller on Portrait and larger on Landscape images. I tried resizing writing in the number of pixels during the File->place command, but no luck. Photoshop resizes the watermark based on the percentages, and I don't know why image orientation matters.
ideally I want my watermark to be the same size, and I can use absolute pixel dimensions if needed. How do I do this?

Hi Doug - What exactly are you trying to do? Is the third
child being added dynamically, and you want it added above the
first child? If so, you can use the addChildAt() method when adding
the child to the container. addChildAt() takes an index and the
child object is added at that index and all other children are
reshuffled to maintain the ordering. IE:
