MSS - Performance Management Document (BSP HAP_DOCUMENT)

Hello everyone,
For some reason, when I click on MSS -> TEAM, and navigate to the Performance Management Document, nothing is showing on the browser.
Only the pale blue color, nothing else.
As a assigned manager role, I have 2 document to evaluate, and I click on the number 2. But as I said, only a new windows with the title "Performance Management Document" and pale blue color opens.
I know this uses the BSP HAP_DOCUMENT, it is activated.
What is missing?

    In MSS Performance Management  I am not getting error. While "Create" appraisal template through popup window getting ESS Appraisal Document window. It is  pointing to this application HAP_START_PAGE_POWL_UI_ESS.
    In SE80 , the create button pointing to  "hap_main_document" application.
    We need two iViews and I created new  iViews for MSS -  Performance Management(HAP_START_PAGE_POWL_UI_MSS) ,
    Appraisal Documen(HAP_MAIN_DOCUMENT).
    In Portal , why it is pointing to ESS Appraisal Document. Is there any OBN to set?
    We don't have HTTP trace in our Client Browser. Please help me out.

    Dear Friends
    How can we default a certain Appraisal Template in MSS Performance Management Status Overview. We currently have
    Appriasal Templatate I ( Used in 2008)
    Appriasal Templatate II ( Used in 2009)
    Appriasal Templatate III ( Used in 2010)
    In the drodpwn in MSS, it is showing us in the Ascending Order.  Default one is always  the first one (Appraisla Template I).  Since it is year 2010, we want to default it to Appriasal Template III OR is there a way to sort them?

    Good Day.
    In standard, there is no any possibility to default an specif value for the template there. The values  for the template are sorted in alphabetical order by default and the first value with be displayed there.

    In MSS, we are trying to use the Performance Management link.  When we click the link, we get the following message:
    Please execute the report "RHHAP_PMP_CONFIG_MOVE". (See Note 1497373)
    We have implemented the note. We run the report and get the message:
    "Move Predefined Template/Process Configuration
    Nothing to move!                               "
    What needs to be done to get the Performance Management to work?
    We are trying to implement performance appraisals.  Is the Performance management the right place?

    In addition, a new Web Dynpro application is provided that you must still activate using the maintenance of services:
    Transaction SICF: default_host->sap->bc->webdynpro->sap-> HAP_A_PMP_TIMELINE_2
    Try to create a iview calling this webdynpro.

  • Performance Management / Appraisals -- BSP

    How do you set breakpoints / debug in the WDFA / BSP environment. The development team is able to do in the GUI environment.

    You will need a abap person for the same.
    But  i will elaborate.
    First login to SAP GUI with the same user with which you login into the bsp application.
    Firstly go to the code where you need to put the break point.
    Threre on the top section there will be two break point options select the http break point.
    Then run the application.

  • MSS - Team - Performance Management - Maintain Performance Documents

    Hi,
    When I click on the Maintain Performance Documents the page opens and shows only one iView - 'Status Overview'.  As I understand it, this page is supposed to have two iViews on it, but the other iView 'Performance Management Document' is missing.  So I can see my list of employees, but when I click on them, nothing happens.  Anyone else run into this problem?

    As sujan said is right, When you click on Maintain performance Document it opens Status Overview Iview
    its display list of employees , initial if you have no appraisal its display blank cell  In preparation colume,
    if you have  appraisal it display Performance Maintain Document iView(BSP) is App - HAP_DOCUMENT with all list of option for approval.
    You can also create appraisal in Create Appraisal Document in ESS.
    Please points if helpful.

  • Employee Performance Management in SAP Portal

    Hi,
    I would like some advice on the best possible way of implementing Performance Management through SAP Portal. What do you suggest?
    I was reading about MSS business packages and it comes with two iviews: Status Overview and Performance Management Document; is that all that is necessary to complete the performance process through portal ? I imagine the appraisal documents gets updated and some workflow is configured for approval and review cycle.
    Well, any documentation, or experience you can share with me will be very useful.

    There is a lot of configuration on the SAP side that needs to be done.  I suggest hiring an experienced consultant and save your time and headaches.  Also, watch out for Portal and SAP upgrades.  They don't always offer a migration tool and you may have to re-implement somethings after an upgrade of one or the other.  Annoying.

    If so, I need an explaination on one point. In the link it says
    Create the Configuration Settings Automatically
           1.      Execute the report RSWNUWLSEL once.
    The Select Work Items screen appears.
           2.      Select Reset Configuration as the mode and FULL Filter as the filter.
    If I reset config - what would be the impact. I don't want to mess up with existing workflow settings. Is it ok to do this?

    I am using MSS Performance management in EP 7. But on clicking on the link its displaying the below error. I have performed all the EP related configuration stuff for ESS/MSS and other iviews are working fine.

    for the issue you need to configure Performance management in R3 and we need to assign Org . Structure and define the level, assign manager role to mss user.
    try this it will solve your problem.

  • Error on Flexible Performance Management Appraisal Document

    Hello Experts,
    We are in the process of building Performance Management using Enhancement Package 4 in ECC 6.0. I am having issues with getting the Appraisal Document to work for MSS. Just to clarify too, I have no experience with Performance Management and the fact that we are using Enhancement package 4, our Functional consultants are not sure what to expect either. One more thing, the SICF service is activated.
    *) When trying to preview the Appraisal Document (com.sap.pct.erp.mss.hap_document), I am receiving a Portal Run Time error.
    *) When I go into SE80, I am using Package u2018PAOC_HAP_DOCUMENT_WD_UIu2019 to run a test on Web Dynpro Application HAP_MAIN_DOCUMENT, I am receiving u2018Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible.u2019
    *) When I go into SE80, I am using Package u2018PAOC_HAP_DOCUMENT_WD_UIu2019 to run a test on Web Dynpro Configuration HAP_AC_MAIN_DOC, I am receiving u201Cu2018Error in Calling Up Applicationu2019 The Web Dynpro application was called up with the wrong URL parametersu201D.
    QUESTIONS:
    1) Do I have to implement Generic Performance Management (com.sap.pct.erp.mss.14.generic_performance_management) to call the appraisal document?
    2) Is there any special configuration that needs to be done to make the HAP_MAIN_DOC work (portal or R/3)?
    3) Do I need to manually create an SICF service for this?
    4) Is there any documentation on how to implement the Flexible?
    Any direction would be appreciated.

    Hello H2R,
    I copied the Iview Generic Performance Management (com.sap.pct.erp.mss.14.generic_performance_management) with Application Name 'HAP_START_PAGE_POWL_UI_MSS' and the Application Configuration Name 'HAP_START_PG_POW_MSS_AC'.
    Activated the SICF services of 'hap_main_document', 'HAP_START_PG_POW_MSS_AC', 'HAP_START_PAGE_POWL_UI_MSS. Also, I would activate the services that begin with 'HAP' that l thought that I would need.
    In SE80, there are 2 locations to find these Applications: 1) Web Dynpro Comp./Intf. = FPM_OIF_COMPONENT and 2) Package = PAOC_HAP_DOCUMENT_WD_UI.
    As for the notes, we are on SAPK-60420INEAHRGXX, these are the notes that we applied:
    1468466 - PM Launchpad Config
    1463821 - PM Portal Config
    1416756 - OBN Config in PM
    1408243 - Config for OBN

  • Managers can't see their employees when creating apprisal documents in Performance Management

    Hi All,
    I'm looking for you experts to enlighten me regarding an issue with the SAP Performance Management solution. We have recently (2013) implemented the Performance Management solution and everything has worked as expected. Now, we are in the process where the managers create the employees appraisal documents for the evaluation of the year 2013. The issue we are encountering is that managers who have been transfer to a new organizational unit are not able to see the employees which they supervised before the transfer.
    Currently our company has an structural profile which is assigned to all the managers and supervisors, and this profile gives access to the employees which are assign to the manager or supervisor. In addition we have an MSS role for managers and supervisors, and here we added the authorization object P_HAP_DOC to authorize manager to perform the PM process.
    Why the managers/supervisors who have been transfer are not able to see their employees?

    Yes, as the manager (appraiser) I have created the document in documents_todo.htm.
    I went to t-code phap_admin_pa and the document exists.  The manager's name and employee's name are listed and the status is listed as In Process.
    When I use t-code phap_start_bsp, then documents_received_open2.htm and log in as the employee, there are no documents listed.
    I am not sure what is missing Any more ideas?

  • MSS Dashboard for Performance Management - PMP vs Flexi-Form

    Hello Experts,
    I have the following problem in Performance Management.
    We have decided to use PMP template for some employees (manager level) and Flexi-form for remaining employees (because we have pre-defined criteria in template that PMP UI is not showing).
    I found that PMP dashboard in MSS is only showing PMP appraisals.
    When manager opens Flex-form UI, it is showing all appraisals that the manager is responsible for (PMP & Flexi) and when the manager clicks on an employee's appraisal document link, it is always displaying the document in Flexi UI mode.
    If a manager is having half of his employees using PMP and other half using Flexi-form, what is the best way for him to look at Dashboard (initial screen to open employee's appraisals), so that for PMP appraisals will open with PMP UI and Flexi appraisals will open with Flexi UI?

    So i was wrong about it being portal development, glad I finally figured out how to do it. 
    configuring the "quick criteria maintenance": 
    It can be done by config following this post:  Define default value in POWL Quick Criteria Maintenance for all users
    regarding assessment, it doesn't work for you, b/c you probably haven't done the configuration.  go to talent management and talent development > talent assessment.
    here you wil have to read all the IMG activities, the documentation is decent on how to implement.  Basically with EP4, there are new types of assessment that a manager can do besides just performance, this includes assessing potential, risks, barriers, and development plans.  all of these assessments processes tie into downstream talent management processes such as talent review meetings and succession planning.  hope this helps.

  • Performance management with ONLY ESS and NO MSS??

    I have a very peculiar scenario regarding and ESS/MSS.
    Let me first post our requirments:
    We have implemented all modules of HR along with OM and now in the process of implementing Performance Management along with ESS only .  I am stressing on ESS only here with NO MSS functionality.
    Now my question is..is it really possible in the first place to have a performance management functionality without MSS and just with standalone ESS?  If yes,  what are the options that I have to configure the performance management system and the ESS system so that the workflows for Planning, Rating an employee, and Approvals regarding appraisals can be achieved??
    Is it possible to assign an ESS role to the manager and then when the manager logs in ESS, he/she can go ahead with the performance management process and can check employees just like the way it happens in MSS?

    Firstly, it is not mandatory to implement MSS for approvals/notifications...
    Manager in MSS term is used to refer Head of Unit (in general) and not the immediate supervisor, i.e, relation ship (012).
    UWL - Universal Work List is the place where all work items for approval is listed and this can be activated in ESS with out using MSS functionality also.
    Comming to Performance Managment: Yes it can be acheived. NO MSS is required for Appraisals.
    if you are using BSP applications, there are different pages available for employee view, and manager view..\
    all that u need to do is, use the appropriate pages in the links that you gonna provide in ESS>Performance Management.
    SAP has given provision to create your own notifications (workflow) in configurations. Create a Z Event and ask your ABAPer to send a notification based on that Z Event. This all is standard.

    Hi Chris,
    This component must be deployed in Portal because have a lot of services which need ESS in order to work properly. According with note 1408243 you must add those business components in your iView and only are available in that component. Once you deploy this component you do not need to assign any special role to users. The business object component is in Content Administration --> Portal Content --> Business Object --> ERP Common Parts --> Human Resources --> Employee.

  • Performance Management (Appraisal Documents) ABAP webdynpro error on HTTPS

    Hello all,
                      Please help , in resolving the issue with Performance Management Application "Appraisal Documents" getting Blanks Screen on the routing back from "Appraisal Document" after user close the application. Issue is only applicable in 'HTTPs' and work fine in internal network.
    On HTTP Watch :  "ERROR_HTTP_INVALID_SERVER_RESPONSE"   in the trace.
    Steps to replicate :
    1. User click on the "Appraisal Documents" link on the Area page and open the application on the new window.
    2. User select one of the "Appraisal document" from the list available to work on it , which result in another window.
    3. User close the application after finishing the work on the "Appraisal Document" and return on the Parent window "Appraisal Documents".
    4. At this point "Appraisal Documents " window get refresh and every things looks great.
    5. Now if user want to select another appraisal document to work on it in "Appraisal documents" window, it freeze or give blank screen.
