MSS - Team - Maintain Performance Document

Hello
In Manager self service -> Team -> Maintain performcance document ,in Show option drop down can we change the hirerarchy of the options getting displayed.
for example we are having two templates X & Y and by default we are getting X can we change that to Y.Please suggest how to do this.

yes you can change the ordering of the templates
ie
You have made all necessary settings in Customizing for the Performance Management (Objective Setting and Appraisals) application component.

I am trying to implement MSS for ERP. When I click on 'Team->Maintain Performance Documents' the 'Status Overview' window opens. But when I click on the hyperlink under 'In preparation' so I can create a new appraisal, nothing happens. Anyone know why the hyperlink is not working?

Have you checked the Data provider under OADP in SPRO to see what service key is the 'In Planning' column mapped to. I suggest check the behavior of the service key if it has been modified.

When I click on the Maintain Performance Documents the page opens and shows only one iView - 'Status Overview'. As I understand it, this page is supposed to have two iViews on it, but the other iView 'Performance Management Document' is missing. So I can see my list of employees, but when I click on them, nothing happens. Anyone else run into this problem?

As sujan said is right, When you click on Maintain performance Document it opens Status Overview Iview
its display list of employees , initial if you have no appraisal its display blank cell In preparation colume,
if you have appraisal it display Performance Maintain Document iView(BSP) is App - HAP_DOCUMENT with all list of option for approval.
You can also create appraisal in Create Appraisal Document in ESS.
Please points if helpful.

Authorization object to view Maintain Performance Documents on MSS

Would like to know which authorization object would require to view Maintain Performance Documents on MSS. Currently, we removed SAP_ALL access from MSS user and not able to peform Maintain Performance Documents.We are on EP 7 and ECC 6.

Error in "Maintain Performance Documents" Iview

I have a Iview in MSS - "Maintain performance documents".
When I open the Iview(Status Overview) through MSS it shows the documents link.But when I click on the links in Status Overview I am getting the following error.
Portal runtime error.

After checkign the portal log I can see teh error as follows

Which system attribute it is talking about? Not getting from where its showing SAP_Localsystem..I checked the system object used in Iview.It is working fine.
There are no authorization errors also.
When I chekced the iview being opened after clicking on link in "Status Overview",
it is pointing to standard iview.How do I make it point to customized iview pointing to my client at R/3.
Please suggest what might be the solution.

Have you performed the connection tests for your system object ? Please share the results . Make sure that you are pointing to the correct client in your backend .
I hope you are using system alias name in the property of the iview . To me it looks that there is something wrong with system object or may be an improper configuration .

Maintain Performance Documents

Hello Everyone,
The 'Maintain Performance Documents' iView appears, but nothing shows inside. I gave the users SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW and I believe all the required permissions on the portal content are set.
What can be causing this?

Hi,
There may two type of error. One from Portal Content and 2nd from backend content. Please check whether everything is fine from portal end. IF it is fine then check the backend role. At the time of execution of the activity please on the transaction ST01 in backend this will help you to check the authorization in backend. After finishing the activity execute transaction SU53 in backend.Check whether any error thre or not.
If everything is fine then you can ask some ABAPer to debugg the code.

Status overview iView not refreshed for performance documents on MSS

Hi Experts,
We are using the standard portal business package for Manager Self Service. However, recently, we found out that one iView was working before suddenly stopped working. This is the Status Overview iView for Maintain Performance Documents. When searching for the performance appraisal documents for a group of direct report employees, the status overviewtable is not refreshed. Although we do have the appraisal documents in
R/3, the iView shows 0 results.
we use MSS 600 SP 8 BP

Performance Document Status Overview

We have implemented ESS/MSS on EP7.0 on ECC6.0 and for MSS --> Maintain Performance Documents, we have used a custom BSP Application. Eveything is working fine except the 'status overview' doesn't show status info under correct column for old appraisals. But it shows relevant appraisal status under correct column if we choose 2008 appraisal. By default the portal shows 2006 Performance Appraisal in the drop down but dates are showing 01/01/2010 to 31/12/2010. We've changed the date from 01/01/2006 to 31/12/2006 but still employees appraisal status are not showing under correct column. All 2006 appraisal has "Close Approved" but for all them its showing under "In Preparation" column. But when we select 2008 Performance Appraisal, they work fine.
Any ideas how to fix that? We first thought we need to upgrade to higher SP level and we applied SP12. But still the status for 2006 or any other old appraisal is not pulling right.

MSS- Team- EmpInfo- General Info- EMPSearch is not displaying Search Result

Currently we are using MSS BP 1.3.1 & SAP_MSS 600 SP16...
I am going to the navigation MSS->Team->EmpInfo->General Info->Employee Search [Under Employee Selection Dropdown i am selecting Employee Serach Option], here i am getting the view with lastname, fistname, Personal No:, Even i am using any of the Search Critiria like Serach With LName,FName And PerNo:, No Employee Search result is Displaying Simply No Data Found Message is coming.
To active this EMp search in MSS do i need configure any steps from SPRO. Any Steps from Portal Front.
To display Team Calender , i configured IGS, what else i need to do to get Team Calender iview in Team Under MSS.
Please list out the steps and provide some help to fix the issue.

I checked in the SPRO--> Integration with other mySAP Components -->Business Packages > Manager self Services (mySAPERP)>Object and Data Provider--> Define Object Selection / Group Parameters for OBJ Search / Define Rules for Object Selection..
Here we need to create any rule and pass those Group Parameters into that???
I told my ABAPers to debug those two methods, apart from that any HR side SPRO Configuration pending?
Please reply me and list out the Steps, Where and What exact config need to do from SPRO apart from that Debugging????

Issue in direct reportees for manager in MSS Team

Hi all,
I have configured my system according to the document Manager Self-Service (MSS) - MSS team view, managers who do not hold chief position prepared by Mohsin Syed .
In MSS-> Team -> Employee information I am getting the direct employees even the manager is not chief.
But my problem is same manager cannot see the direct reportes in other places say : attendance overview , employee course assignments-> manage participants etc..
see the screenshots : In the same page, no direct reporting employee for attendance over view , but there is for Team calendar.
For the same manager, if he try to book for training, there is no direct reportees.
What I have missed ..please guide me what to do..

In the Table TWPC_DAATAVWGRP, I have created the new entry 'MSS_LAV_EE1. Assigned to group of Data views in "MSS_LAV_EE_DIR1".
Then in Object and Data Provider -> Organizational Structure Views -> Group Organizational Structure Views,
MSS_LAV_EE -> Assign Organizational view , I have added 1 more entry MSS_LAV_EE_DIR1(Direct Reports)
Then In NWBC I have got a new option Direct Reports and under that I have got 1 person as Absent. but 2 person at work is not showing. Actually there are 3 direct reportees to him.

Under Working time->Attendance overview->Select Employees, it is like this :
1 more thing.
Under MSS-> Team-> Employee course Assignments-> Manage Participants : For manager who is Chief can see all direct reportees and book training for them.
For manager who is not chief are not getting the direct reportees so that he cannot book training for them.
If I can retrieve the direct reportees here, then all issues are solved.
Kindly help me with what changes I have to make in system.

Customization of MSS -- Team -- General Information Page

Hi Experts,
I have to customize MSS --> Team --> General Information Page.
The General Information page contains following iViews:
1) Employee Search iView
2) Personal Data iView
3) General Data iView
4) Absence Days iView
Personal Data iView, General Data iView and Absence Days iView are populated based on Employee Search iView.
For the new requirement, we have to add one new iView say XYZ iView in General Information page. The XYZ iView will be populated based on Employee Search iView.
There are two approach to do this work:
a) Make changes in the Web Dynpro code of Employee Search iView - This appoach seems to be difficult. If you have worked on similar requirement, kindly share with me your experience and how you completed the work.
b) Do some configuration changes - This appoach seems to be easy. If you have worked on similar requirement, kindly share with me your experience and how you completed the work.

We are implemented ESS & MSS & configured Team Calendar but in that we are facing bellow issues
Can we do customization Team calendar? If it is possible how?

We required direct report employees list only should display MSS Team workset
    Emp: Direct report employees only 44 to that manager but in MSS team workset nearly 90 employees
            are displying
I am client side functional consultant, my ESS & MSS project done by other company
Now they left the company I had no much knowledge on the ESS& MSS Team calendar just I had knowledge functional side so please guide me to close my issue

Diff between ESS Team Calendar and MSS Team Calendar

Hi,
Can anyone please let me know is there any difference between ESS team calender that employees see in the Leave tab and the Mss team calender that the managers see for their team.
In our system, it so happens that a user who is a chief sees the org structure in which he is as an employee only ( not manager) in the ESS team calender. However users who have both the ESS and MSS roles see the org structure which is reporting to them in the ESS and as well as the MSS team Calender.
i already searched SDn and SAPnotes for this and was unable to find anything useful.
Can anyone please let me know from where does the team Calendar fetch the details from the back-end both in the case of ESS and MSS.

ESS Team calendar is meant for the employees to see the other colleagues in their Org unit
MSS Team calendar is used by the manager to see the
employees reporting to him directly or indirectly (configuration available)
All this comes from leave request application, Ie sent leave
approved status etc, and of course the infotypes 2001
and 2002.

I am working on UI, I am tracking the COREMODS data using this UI. My requirement is need to maintain the related documents also in database using this UI. I think SLM system have that functionality. If any one know about this functionality, explain about
How to upload the documents into database.
How to maintain this documents in database.
Is there any standard methods/function modules to upload this documents ( I am not asking about content of document, I am expecting about total file).
i.e. I want to maintain the all core mod related test cases and other documents in SAP database.
How to handle this functionality?

There is a Utility in SAP called Easy DMS.
Here you can create folders, maintain authorisations and store your documents.
Hope this is wht u r looking for.
