MSSQL cascade_delete_child sp syntax

We are running P6 on MSSQL
The data_monitor is failing on the SP cascade_child_delete.
It seems to be a syntax problem in a select statement
and sc2.id =* po.id and sc2.colid =* ref.fkey2;
It looks like the asterisks can be removed but would like to hear if anyone else has seen the issue.
Thanks

Any ideas yet???
Is there any knowledgebase (KB) article to read about this???

  • DB Connect MS SQL

    Hello,
    I have a MS SQL 2005 srv and want to upload data from a table into my InfoCube in BW.
    The InfoCube works fine with a CSV File.
    It contains 3 fields: 0CALDAY, a simple number infoobject and a char(8) object.
    Connection to the SQL Srv is fine and when selecting the datasource/table i can see the content of that table with "view table content".
    (As datatype "datetime" does not work, i used a char(8) attribute in mssql with yyyymmdd syntax like in my csv file)
    but when i want to load that data through my infosource with infopackage into my infocube, there is always an timeout error and my cube recieves no data.
    can someone help?

    thanks for the sap note - I checked all the things that were mentioned in it.
    but it seems that i did no mistake..
    - used same mssql-user for connection and table creation
    - only capital letters
    - used char(8) instead of datetime type
    - and so on ...
    also i checked for shortdumps, but cant find any.
    when go to "administrate" my infocube and watch my requests, it has yellow state.
    i have uploaded an screenshot of the request monitor - step by step analysis
    <a href="http://www.janeberle.de/tmp/error.JPG">LINK</a>
    (by the way: i am using a german sap gui)
    also setting the QM state to green manually doesnt help and one day later it goes to red because of timeout.
    also sap online help or the sappress book couldnt help me yet.

  • Syntax to query a MSSQL 2008R2 linked server from Oracle

    Hi,
        I would know if it's possible to query a MSSQL 2008R2 linked server from Oracle. Actually I can query local MSSQL databases from Oracle using dg4odbc without problem but how can I query the linked servers configured on the MSSQL side ?
    From MSSQL, I can query those linked servers using the [linked server name].[catalog].[owner].[table] syntax but using select * from [linked server name].[catalog].[owner].[table]@oracle_dblink_name syntax from the oracle side throw this error:
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended
    I tried some syntax variations, e.g. putting double quotes around the object name without luck. After some hours to find a solution I'm out of idea...
    So please if someone had a clue on this it would be very helpfull.
    Some info:
    Oracle 10g 10.2.0.5 Enterprise Edition x64
    Oracle Linux 5.9 Enterprise Edition x64
    MSSQL 2008R2 Enterprise x64
    Windows Server 2008R2 Enterprise x64
    Oracle 11gR2 Enterprise x64 for dg4odbc on MSSQL side
    SQL Server Natice Client 10.0 used as ODBC driver

    Hi kgronau,
                    Maybe I'm not clear in my explanations, sorry.
    I want, from Oracle, to query a MSSQL linked server.
    Basically I want to do that, if possible:
    Oracle --> MSSQL --> linked server --> MSSQL
        ^                                                         ^
        |                                                          |
        ---------------->------------------->--------------------
    and maybe have a clue about the syntax to be used.
    Knowing that querying the linked server directly form MSSQL is working and querying from Oracle to local MSSQL db is working too.
    Using the right syntax should lead me to succes, am I right ? Or maybe its something that cannot be done using oracle dblinks ?
    Thanks

  • [SOLVED] Php.ini syntax error, unexpected '&'

    Hi guys,
    I'm having a trouble setting up a local hosted LAMP, I want to enable the error reporting and display, but it's giving me this error:

    When I comment the line 105,106,107, it works as I expected, but I can't see any error output...
    Here it's the entire php.ini:
    [PHP]
    ; About php.ini ;
    ; PHP's initialization file, generally called php.ini, is responsible for
    ; configuring many of the aspects of PHP's behavior.
    ; PHP attempts to find and load this configuration from a number of locations.
    ; The following is a summary of its search order:
    ; 1. SAPI module specific location.
    ; 2. The PHPRC environment variable. (As of PHP 5.2.0)
    ; 3. A number of predefined registry keys on Windows (As of PHP 5.2.0)
    ; 4. Current working directory (except CLI)
    ; 5. The web server's directory (for SAPI modules), or directory of PHP
    ; (otherwise in Windows)
    ; 6. The directory from the --with-config-file-path compile time option, or the
    ; Windows directory (C:\windows or C:\winnt)
    ; See the PHP docs for more specific information.
    ; http://php.net/configuration.file
    ; The syntax of the file is extremely simple. Whitespace and lines
    ; beginning with a semicolon are silently ignored (as you probably guessed).
    ; Section headers (e.g. [Foo]) are also silently ignored, even though
    ; they might mean something in the future.
    ; Directives following the section heading [PATH=/www/mysite] only
    ; apply to PHP files in the /www/mysite directory. Directives
    ; following the section heading [HOST=www.example.com] only apply to
    ; PHP files served from www.example.com. Directives set in these
    ; special sections cannot be overridden by user-defined INI files or
    ; at runtime. Currently, [PATH=] and [HOST=] sections only work under
    ; CGI/FastCGI.
    ; http://php.net/ini.sections
    ; Directives are specified using the following syntax:
    ; directive = value
    ; Directive names are *case sensitive* - foo=bar is different from FOO=bar.
    ; Directives are variables used to configure PHP or PHP extensions.
    ; There is no name validation. If PHP can't find an expected
    ; directive because it is not set or is mistyped, a default value will be used.
    ; The value can be a string, a number, a PHP constant (e.g. E_ALL or M_PI), one
    ; of the INI constants (On, Off, True, False, Yes, No and None) or an expression
    ; (e.g. E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE), a quoted string ("bar"), or a reference to a
    ; previously set variable or directive (e.g. ${foo})
    ; Expressions in the INI file are limited to bitwise operators and parentheses:
    ; | bitwise OR
    ; ^ bitwise XOR
    ; & bitwise AND
    ; ~ bitwise NOT
    ; ! boolean NOT
    ; Boolean flags can be turned on using the values 1, On, True or Yes.
    ; They can be turned off using the values 0, Off, False or No.
    ; An empty string can be denoted by simply not writing anything after the equal
    ; sign, or by using the None keyword:
    ; foo = ; sets foo to an empty string
    ; foo = None ; sets foo to an empty string
    ; foo = "None" ; sets foo to the string 'None'
    ; If you use constants in your value, and these constants belong to a
    ; dynamically loaded extension (either a PHP extension or a Zend extension),
    ; you may only use these constants *after* the line that loads the extension.
    ; About this file ;
    ; PHP comes packaged with two INI files. One that is recommended to be used
    ; in production environments and one that is recommended to be used in
    ; development environments.
    ; php.ini-production contains settings which hold security, performance and
    ; best practices at its core. But please be aware, these settings may break
    ; compatibility with older or less security conscience applications. We
    ; recommending using the production ini in production and testing environments.
    ; php.ini-development is very similar to its production variant, except it's
    ; much more verbose when it comes to errors. We recommending using the
    ; development version only in development environments as errors shown to
    ; application users can inadvertently leak otherwise secure information.
    ; Quick Reference ;
    ; The following are all the settings which are different in either the production
    ; or development versions of the INIs with respect to PHP's default behavior.

    ; data to the client. If your application's output exceeds this setting, PHP

    ; Turning on this setting and managing its maximum buffer size can yield some

    ; You may be able to send headers and cookies after you've already sent output

    ; E_ERROR - fatal run-time errors
    ; E_RECOVERABLE_ERROR - almost fatal run-time errors
    ; E_WARNING - run-time warnings (non-fatal errors)
    ; E_PARSE - compile-time parse errors
    ; E_NOTICE - run-time notices (these are warnings which often result
    ; from a bug in your code, but it's possible that it was
    ; intentional (e.g., using an uninitialized variable and
    ; relying on the fact it's automatically initialized to an
    ; empty string)
    ; E_STRICT - run-time notices, enable to have PHP suggest changes
    ; to your code which will ensure the best interoperability
    ; and forward compatibility of your code

    could anyone hlep me on this issue.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello, the submitted error must be analyzed according to the Syntaxis and characteristics of the MSSQL database. See explanation of error.
    http://doc.ddart.net/mssql/sql2000/html/trblsql/tr_reslsyserr_1_1o1i.htm
    Error 156
    Severity Level 15
    Message Text
    Incorrect syntax near the keyword '%.*ls'.
    Explanation
    This error indicates that the syntax of a Transact-SQL statement is incorrect and that the syntax error was detected near the keyword specified in the error message. The most frequent causes for syntax errors are misspellings of Transact-SQL keywords or operators, and specifying the syntax of a Transact-SQL statement in the wrong order.
    One of the more complicated causes for this error may be a compatibility level mismatch for the current database. If the current database has a compatibility level other than 70, Microsoft® SQL Serveru2122 will not recognize any of the keywords that a database with a compatibility level of 70 would recognize.
    Action
    First, check the Transact-SQL statement syntax near the keyword specified in the error message. Because Transact-SQL language syntax can be very complex, SQL Server may incorrectly report the position of the syntax error as later in the Transact-SQL statement than it actually occurred. Second, reexamine the entire Transact-SQL statement that generated the error. Verify the syntax order of the statement.
    Ensure that the database does not have a compatibility level of 65 and has a compatibility level of 70.

  • Getting syntax error while running ODI project

    Greetings,
    First time here with ODI. I'm using ODI version 10.1.3.5 and get the following error below on execution. I'm reading from a flat file to a mssql table. Not sure if this matters, but ODI is installed on one server running sql2005, while the staging tables are on a different server running 2008. The C$_ table is created, but contains no data.

    Hi Lanfir,
    I'm not sure where the sql gets generated, although I see why the code fails (I think). Sql is expecting a real table name but insteas gets either a blank name or the comment /* */. Is that correct?
    This is what the error is saying at the operator.

  • Syntax error in program "SAPLHTTPTREE " during application of SAPKB70012

    Hi everyone,
    I am applying support pack SAPKB70012 when it stopped in the XPRA_EXECUTION phase. Anybody encountered this error "Syntax error in program "SAPLHTTPTREE "? Been looking for any notes on this but haven't found anything. I already created message to SAP but even though its high, nobody's picking it up. We're using Windows NT and database MSSQL.
    Below is part of the import queue log:
    The following details help you to analyze the problem:
        -   Error in phase: XPRA_EXECUTION
        -   Reason for error: TP_STEP_FAILURE
        -   Return code: 0012
        -   Error message: OCS Package SAPKB70012, tp step R, return code
            0012
    Notes on phase XPRA_EXECUTION
    The XPRAs and after-import methods are executed in this phase. This
    phase can terminate due to the following reasons:
    o   TP_INTERFACE_FAILURE: The system was unable to call the tp
        interface.
    o   TP_FAILURE: The system was unable to execute the tp program. For
        more information, see the SLOG or ALOG log file.
    When I check SM37, I found this ABAP runtime error:
    *job: RDDEXEC
    Runtime Errors         SYNTAX_ERROR
    Date and Time          16.01.2008 19:13:09
    Short text
    Syntax error in program "SAPLHTTPTREE ".
    What happened?
    Error in the ABAP Application Program
    The current ABAP program "SAPLSCTS_EXE_EXP" had to be terminated because it has
    come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
    The following syntax error occurred in program "SAPLHTTPTREE " in include
    "LHTTPTREETOP " in
    line 9:
    ""ICFALIAS" must be a flat structure. You cannot use internal tables, s"
    "trings, references, or structures as components ."
    The include has been created and last changed by:
    Created by: "SAP "
    Last changed by: "SAP "
    What can you do?
    Please eliminate the error by performing a syntax check
    (or an extended program check) on the program "SAPLHTTPTREE ".
    You can also perform the syntax check from the ABAP Editor.
    If the problem persists, proceed as follows:
    Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
    To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
    administrator.
    Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
    at and manage termination messages, and you can also
    keep them for a long time.
    Error analysis
    The following syntax error was found in the program SAPLHTTPTREE :
    ""ICFALIAS" must be a flat structure. You cannot use internal tables, s"
    "trings, references, or structures as components ."
    How to correct the error
    Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.
    If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
    notification to SAP, include the following information:
    1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
    To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
    (Unconverted)".
    2. Corresponding system log
    Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
    Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
    after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File
    (Unconverted)".
    3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP
    program: The source code of the program
    In the editor, choose "Utilities->More
    Utilities->Upload/Download->Download".
    4. Details about the conditions under which the error occurred or which
    actions and input led to the error.

  • How to call MSSQL stored procedure from oracle database

    MSSQL and Oracle databases are linked thru ODBC link using Oracle HSODBC.
    I can query MSSQL table or view from Oracle Database using standard notation for acessing remote objects schema.object@dblink_name...
    Can anybody give me syntax for calling MSSQL stored procedure thru ODBC database link?
    I tried syntax exec schema.stored_procedure@dblink_name but it doesn't work...i'm getting schema.stored_procedure must be declared error...
    Tnx,in advance!
    Dejan Botica

    Oracle database 10gR2.
    MSSQL2000 database.
    For example query:
    select * from dbo.Tbl_Test@kron@dw_jamnica; works fine...
    ...while for example exec dbo.Test@kron@dw_jamnica;
    reports error:
    ORA-06550: line 1, column 7:
    PLS-00201: identifier 'DBO.TEST@KRON@DW_JAMNICA' must be declared
    ORA-06550: line 1, column 7:
    PL/SQL: Statement ignored
    Table Tbl_Test and procedure Test exists in MSSQL instance.

    Dejan

  • Syntax error when creating database

    Not sure if this is the correct forum, but here goes..
    Using a sample at:
    Technet Link
    I get a "Syntax error near GO" when I try to execute the following SQL Command.
    USE master
    GO
    CREATE DATABASE testdb
    ON
    ( NAME = testdb,
    FILENAME = 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL12.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\DATA\testdb.mdf' )
    GO
    I am using a function to create this database.  It is a temporary database that gets recreated or altered frequently.
    The code checks for SQL Server, gets it's version number in order to use the default SQL Server path.  If SQL Server isn't available, ACE / OLEDB is used to create and manage the database (this part works fine).
    The code used to check for and create the database follows.
    private Boolean CheckForSQLServer()
    SqlConnection cnx = null;
    Int32 dbExists = 1;
    SqlCommand sql;
    String SSData = String.Empty;
    // Check for SQL Server. If it exists, use it.
    String login = UserPrincipal.Current.UserPrincipalName;
    login = login.Substring(0, login.IndexOf("@"));
    try {
    cnx = new SqlConnection(
    String.Format("server={0};user={1};Trusted_Connection=Yes;", Prop.SQLConnection, login));
    cnx.Open();
    hasSQLServer = true;
    } catch (Exception) {
    hasSQLServer = false;
    return true;
    if (hasSQLServer) {
    try {
    String ServerVersion = cnx.ServerVersion;
    String SSPath = String.Format(@"C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL{0}.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\DATA\",
    ServerVersion.Substring(0, ServerVersion.IndexOf('.')));
    SSData = String.Format(
    "USE master\nGO\nCREATE DATABASE {0}\nON\n( NAME = '{1}',\nFILENAME = '{2}{1}.mdf' )\nGO",
    Prop.SQLDBName, Prop.SQLDBName, SSPath);
    String s = String.Format(
    "SELECT COUNT(*) FROM (SELECT DB_ID('{0}') AS DbID) t WHERE DbID IS NOT NULL", Prop.SQLDBName);
    sql = new SqlCommand(s, cnx);
    SqlDataReader sr = sql.ExecuteReader();
    if (sr.Read())
    dbExists = (Int32)sr[0];
    sr.Close();
    } catch (Exception) { }
    if (dbExists == 0) {
    try {
    sql = new SqlCommand(SSData, cnx);
    sql.ExecuteNonQuery();
    } catch (Exception) { }
    } else {
    try {
    sql = new SqlCommand(String.Format("drop database {0};", Prop.SQLDBName), cnx);
    sql.ExecuteNonQuery();
    sql = new SqlCommand(SSData, cnx);
    sql.ExecuteNonQuery();
    } catch (Exception) { }
    cnx.Close();
    return false;
    Comparing the generated SQL string to sample E at the link above shows them to be identical except for the database name and file pathname, but the paths do exist although the files do not.
    The SQL Exception occurs at the first
    sql = new SqlCommand(SSData, cnx);
    statement in the code.  I would think this can be done as a single string even though a .sql file is referenced in the article.
    Andy

    Works correctly in SQL Server 2014 Management Studio:
    USE master
    GO
    CREATE DATABASE testdb
    ON
    ( NAME = testdb,
    FILENAME = 'F:\temp\testdb.mdf' )
    GO
    DROP DATABASE testdb
    GO

  • Syntax error (missing operator) in query expression works in sql

    Hi guys,
    I am having a problem with this query in Access 2007, it runs
    fine in MSSQL.
    I get this error when I run it.
    [Macromedia][SequeLink JDBC Driver][ODBC
    Socket][Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Syntax error
    (missing operator) in query expression
    'tbl_skuoption_rel.optn_rel_Option_ID = tbl_skuoptions.option_ID
    INNER JOIN tbl_skus ON tbl_skuoption_rel.optn_rel_SKU_ID =
    tbl_skus.SKU_ID INNER JOIN tbl_products AS p ON
    tbl_skus.SKU_ProductID = p.product_ID'.

    Access may require parenthesis ( ) around the JOINs when
    joining more than two tables

  • Compare SQL Server and Oracle syntax

    Hello, I am very new to the Oracle DB as I have been working with MS SQL Server for many years. I have a SQL statement that works fine in MSSQL but seems to not work in Oracle. Is this a syntax problem or do I need to look elsewhere?
    DECLARE @as_master_key varchar(26)
    EXEC [dbo].[GET_UNIQUE_MASTER_KEY]
         @as_project_name = N'CMDEMO',
         @as_database_site = N'CMPL',
         @as_user_initials = N'SK',
         @as_table = N'SUBMITTAL_CATEGORY',
         @as_master_key =
         @as_master_key
    OUTPUT SELECT @as_master_key as N'master_key'
    This is what I use in MSSQL and it works fine - but I am porting this application to an Oracle backend and it fails. Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance to this newbie. :)

    SQL Server and Oracle are two completely different RDBMS'.
    You'd be best not to try and port SQL Server code to Oracle SQL or PL/SQL directly as it will not favour the power of Oracle's features correctly.
    I'm not sure what your code is supposed to be doing (I find SQL Server code awful to read, and never understand the need for "@" before variable names, that just seems to show a lazy parser (or lazy coder who designed the parser)).
    From what I can guess it's going to be something like...
    SQL code...
    create or replace sequence my_master_key;PL/SQL code...
    DECLARE

  • Pipelined functions from mssql using DG4MSQL

    Hi to All
    I have made installation of DG4MSQL 11.1 to connect Oracle db 10.2.0.4 to MSSQL server and found this problem.
    On my MSSQL side there are piplined database objects , functions that behave like tables and which from mssql side is queried by forexample select * from table(parameter);
    I tried to query objects on oracle db side using the same syntax like this:
    select * from "table(parameter)"@sqlserverlink;
    and this
    select * from "table"@sqlserverlink (parameter);
    and it gave error:
    ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended
    Also tried standard oracle syntax for selecting from pipleined function like this :
    select * from TABLE("table"@sqlserverlink(NULL));
    or
    select * from TABLE("table"(NULL)@sqlserverlink);
    and it gives error
    ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended
    .Can enynone give me some answer for this. Are piplined functions supported through DG4MSQL when connecting from oracle to mssql.
    Greetings
    Kenan

    What is exactly the syntax of your object name.
    Table, table and TABLE are 3 differents objects!!!!!
    select object_name,object_type from all_objects@sqlserver where upper(object_name)='table';
    ====>normal , you have no row because your object name is not 'TABLE'
    You have to respect the case sensivity
    Try rather:
    select object_name,object_type from all_objects@sqlserver where object_name LIKE '%able%';
    So in your SQL SERVER (which version?) what do you see exactly???
    In which object category do you see it?Is it a user defined function?
    When you use a function, it is used to retrieve a value.
    example: select "table"@sqlserver (NULL) from dual;
    ==>you get one rowwith one value
    If your object is a table supposed to retrieve resultset (many rows) you can't pass it with a parameter:
    select * from Table@sqlserver (NULL);
    ==>it won't work
    So my question is also what are you supposed to retrieve when you select in SQL SERVER:
    select * from table(null)
    ==>many rows or one row???
    You can test with the DBMS_HS_PASSTHROUGH package:
    DECLARE
    ret integer;
    c integer;
    BEGIN
    c := DBMS_HS_PASSTHROUGH.OPEN_CURSOR@sqlserver;
    DBMS_HS_PASSTHROUGH.PARSE@sqlserver(c, 'select * from table(null)');
    ret := DBMS_HS_PASSTHROUGH.EXECUTE_NON_QUERY@sqlserver(c);
    dbms_output.put_line(ret ||' passthrough output');
    DBMS_HS_PASSTHROUGH.CLOSE_CURSOR@sqlserver(c);
    END;
    If it is succesfull, you're supposed to get:
    ===>1 passthrough output
    Please give me all the information and I could help you more.

    Mireille

  • RM file line for MSSQL 7.0

    Looking urgently for RM file line (and openinfo syntax) for MS SQL v.7.0

    Hi Praveen,
    As I know, there is no JDBC driver MSSQL 7.0, so there is no direct way to get access to it.
    But there is another way to do it if you have access to a MSSQL 2000 or above server.
    In MSSQL 2000 you can create a linked server to the MSSQL 7.0, and then you can use XI to get access to MSSQL 7.0 tables.

  • Loading ntext data from MSSQL into Oracle - field locations vary

    Good afternoon/evening everyone
    I'm looking for a practical solution to a data migration issue I am running into. Here's the detail.
    1. Source database is Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2
    2. Destination database is Oracle 11g R2.
    3. Migration strategy: Use MSSQL Management Studio Export Wizard to export all tables into flat files and then use SQL*Loader to load into Oracle.
    Sounds easy...Here's the problem I'm running into:
    1. Several tables have ntext data.
    2. The location of ntext attribute within the table varies by table.
    3. The number of ntext attributes in the source table varies by table.
    4. I'm using a field delimiter to split the data.
    What I am running into:
    1. There is nothing within the data for the ntext field that is common that would allow me to use a CONTINUEIF to cause the multiple physical records to be concatenated into a logical record.
    2. The number of physical records very for creating the logical record.
    3. Other data exists after each ntext attribute that is either ntext or non-ntext data.
    What I'm looking for:
    1. Would like to use SQL*Loader, if possible; otherwise I'll write a PL/SQL procedure to read the data, row for row, and load it into the appropriate fields.
    2. Looking for ideas from the Forum experts to provide some Control File syntax that would accomplish what I'm trying to do. I'm out of ideas.
    I would appreciate some assistance and some ideas if you have any.
    Thanks in advance

    is this what you are looking for?
        select replace('this a text with\X0D\X0Ain it', '\X0D\X0A', chr(13) || chr(10)) from dualyou can do the replace directly when loading by putting "replace(:fieldname, '\X0D\X0A', chr(13) || chr(10))"
    next to the field in the controll file you use with sql*loader (including the " signs). Or you can use it in an update statement.

  • Problems using Oracle or MSSql DBMS with Weblogic 5.1 SP6

    We have installed Weblogic 5.1 with service pack 6 on NT 4.0.
    The database access works fine with the default Cloudscape,
    but when we try to use the SQL scripts for Oracle supplied by BEA,
    we keep getting rollbacks.
    We have also tried to modify the SQL scripts to access a MSSQL 7
    database,
    and we get the same kind of problems.
    Can anybody help ?

    I guess SQL syntax for cloudscape may not be same as Oracle. Pls check
    cloudscape manuals.
    Also you are talking about rollbacks. Could you be more specific.?
    Pls post full stack trace here.
