Msvcp100.dll is missing when opening Photoshop CS6

When I click to open Photoshop, I get this message about 5 or 6 times and then Photoshop opens. It has been working fine for a long time.
Is there a fix?

My solution, uninstall the NIK update that appeared unanounced in my programs on 10/30.  Reinstall from original .exe file received from Google in May, all is well again.  Where did this update come from???????

    Thank you for your response.  It has been awhile since I used my PSE7, my computer crashed and I had to reload everything.  I had also decided to take a class at a local adult education center and they are teaching 7, which is very outdated.  Not sure which Photoshop to upgrade to.  Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

    The display on my mac book pro color shifts to a blue tint when opening Photoshop CS6.  Any suggestions on how to maintain the current color profile?  My photography work is dependent on proper display calibration.  Thank you

    First open the Universal Access preference pane and in the 'seeing' tab, make sure that the slider for 'enhance contrast' is all the way to the left. Next, open the Displays preference panel and click on the 'color' tab. The click the 'calibrate' button. This will take you through a color/brightness/contrast set up procedure that may eliminate the problem.
    There are two options in the calibration process, standard, which is the default option and has fewer adjustment screens, and expert, which is selected by checking the box for it on the first calibration screen and offers more adjustments. You can't do any harm with either since any settings you create can be discarded, or profile(s) you save can be deleted or ignored if necessary.
    This won't necessarily resolve the problem, but if not, then it would indicate that there's an issue with the hardware - possibly just the connector on the back of the system, which needs to be fastened really tightly. If you can't readily resolve this, since your system is so new, I'd then suggest you call Apple.

    I have researched Internet - ADOBE and others - to find a solution, but no luck! (see under)
    The problem started around one year ago but I was able to open Bridge and go to Photoshop from there until recently.
    Now I get "Error Code 16" in Bridge too when I am trying to go to Photoshop.
    I have tried everything I could think of (including creating a new Administrator-user) with help from my Internet research and my own pretty good experience (I started working with computer systems as a Systems Analysts 1968...... - now it is only PCs)
    I miss my Photoshop and Bridge a lot - it is very frustrating to have this problem, but I can see I am not the only one!!!

    Hi, I have a mac OS X processor 1.83 GhZ intel core Duo. I downloaded the adobe photoshop CS6 bea trail version. when i open the application it says you can't open the application adobe photoshop because it is not supported on this type of mac. Could anyone of you help please

    Be glad to if I could, but  .. I typed a question in the Adobe CS6 forum and it gave me no way to 'POST.'   I AM logged in but 'Reply' seems to be my only access.
    I had understood that I had been moved to some more appropriate place .. where?
    I just went throught the whole Download process again after talking at some length with an Apple Senior adviser who are very reluctant to discuss any 3rd party apps.
    He was very helpful in using all the techniques to clear up any OS problems, so ..?We checked Utilities>Disk Permissions and Disk Rpair .. all OK.  Also Safe Mode,Reset, etc.
    Lightroom 4.1 and CS5.5 work  just fine. 
    The pop-up about the Javal app came up again and installed; then, when selecting Photoshop CS6.app it runs, and runs, and runs and eventually pops up the error Message 16.
    I have made numerous  screen shots which I keep weeding out to just the most recent.

    I had to uninstall and reinstall Photoshop CS6 as I was getting Error Code 16 on trying to open Photoshop CS6 in latest version of Mountain Lion OSX. Leading up to this error, I had had to open Application Manager using a temporary Admin Account as AM indicated that it didn't have write permissions using my normal log-on. (It had, including all cotents of Users/Library/application Support). Hopefully someone who has simmilar issues can help me out here? Thanks

    The DF031 error can indicate a required file was either not available or the attributes for the file could not be read.
    Make sure when reviewing your install log that you start at the bottom of the log file.  If those errors are not reflected in the latest installation then they may have occurred under the compromised user account as opposed to the newly created Administrator account you later experienced a successful installation attempt.

    I was wondering if there is a way to open photoshop cs6 in 32-bit mode on a windows 7 64-bit system, because photoshop won't recognize the pen pressure on my graphics tablet (yiynova msp19u) I read that some users got it to work in 32-bit mode on macs, and all my other programs like zBrush, art rage, sketch book pro recognize the pen pressure on the tablet.

    well I am going to assume that the application marked photoshop is the 32-bit application, since the other on is marked 64-bit and I don't see one 32-bit. in any case it still not recognizing pen pressure and i have the newest drivers. The only thing I can think of now is that wacom drivers are interfering with it some how since they don't get along, although I was pretty sure i got rid of all wacom software.

    Maybe a Preferences reset can help:
    Numerous program settings are stored in the Adobe Bridge preferences file, including display, Adobe Photo Downloader, performance, and file-handling options.
    Restoring preferences returns settings to their defaults and can often correct unusual application behavior.
    Press and hold the Ctrl key (Windows) or the Option key (Mac OS) while starting Adobe Bridge.  
    In the Reset Settings dialog box, select one or more of the following options:  
      Reset Preferences 
    Returns preferences to their factory defaults. Some labels and ratings may be lost. Adobe Bridge creates a new preferences file when it starts.
    Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache
    Purging the thumbnail cache can help if Adobe Bridge is not displaying thumbnails properly. Adobe Bridge re-creates the thumbnail cache when it starts.
    Reset Standard Workspaces
    Returns Adobe predefined workspaces to their factory default configurations.
    Click OK, or click Cancel to open Adobe Bridge without resetting preferences.

    Sorry to have taken up your time, I have figured it out.  I have about 50 layers and one was bad, process of elimination, I deleted one by one till I found the layer that was causing it to fail.  Files I had converted from .DWG to AI coused an error

    I am trying to install the Adobe Reader XI on a PC with Windows XP Professional SP3, but I always get ehe error message 'CABINET.DLL is missing' when I run the installation program Is anyone wxperiencing this problem? I would REALLY like to have the latest Reader up and running, it doesn't work properly with the "portable" version...

    I am having trouble opening Photoshop CS6. On initial start-up, my screen keeps freezing and it says the program is not responding. I have uninstalled and re-installed 3 times now on my computer. I have had Photoshop since May 2013 and have not had any problems with it as I use it on a daily basis. Has this happened to anyone else???

    What system information do you need? Like I said, I use the program daily and it has opened just fine with no problems up until yesterday. I have a Dell Precision M6600 running, Win 7 Ultimate 64bit, 16.0GB, DDR3-1600 SDRAM, 4 DIMM, Intel Core i7-2860M Quad Core 2.50GHz 8MB.
