Msvcr100.dll issue
In opening Photoshop Lightroom 4, an error appears that a folder on msvcr100.dll is not on file. I was assisted last Monday by Rahul Devale but he was unable to figure it out. He promised to elevate the issue to higher level and I shall be contact in 2-3 days. It is the third day today and no contact yet.
Hi Jeff,
Thanks for your email. If you won't mind, may I suggest that you
contact your Mr. Rahul Devale as he knows more about the technical
side of it because I had him share my desktop for his remote connection.
I greatly appreciate his help to do his best from about 11:30am to 5:00pm,
until he decided to elevate this issue to your higher level, and promised that
I would be contacted in 2-3 days from last Monday.
Hope this can be resolved sooner as I am very excited to use your LR-4
in editing my pictures taken on a wedding and a birthday, and of course, the
owners are eagerly awaiting to see their pictures.
My b est regards.

Hello,
I just have a problem when starting a program in Win8, "msvcr100.dll is missing". This is not a fresh issue so I tried to download and install "VC++ 2010 redistributable package" to solve it. But when I execute the installer,
it told me that I've already installed this (well actually yes, I've installed .NET framework4.5, Visual Studio2010 for C++...).
So I suspect it's a problem of access right in Win8. I've just upgraded from win7 to win8 and I've experienced enough problem about "access right"...
So can anyone tell me what to do? Thanks a lot!
LéoHi
Firstly, please access to the path to check whether msvcr100.dll is there:C:\Windows\System32
If not, please click the link below to download VC++ 2010:

TechNet Community Support -
First things first, trying to find a tech support Email address or phone number has been infuriating. The "3-step support wizard" which results in "go to the forums" is also infuriating and insulting.
I have a Windows 7 64-bit PC running CS6 64-bit (updated/current), and it's crashing at random (2-3 times per day). I see events recorded in the event log showing dvaui.dll and msvcr100.dll as the source. Other people have raised this as an issue, and all I see are guesses. Does Adobe have a credible solution for this yet?
I've tried running as a domain admin, which did not help.
Illustrator CS6 32-bit seems to be working perfectly (4 days straight, no crashing).
It seems to currently affect only one computer (5 others are fine). It's not repeatable, and has no discernible cause.
Also, format and reinstall is neither a solution nor an option.
To be honest, I'm looking for Adobe to address this directly: do you know why this is happening, and how long until it is solved? If an Adobe tech support will open a case, I have a file that the designer (I'm not the designer) was using during one of the crashes. I don't know if the crashing will be related (to the file), but I have the file just in case.
David.Hi Larry,
Thank you for responding.
> CS6 is current in that it is still available for purchase and in the CC but it is now two versions behind.
I'm not quite sure what you are trying to say. Can you be explicit, please?
> As to your problem have you tried downloading the .dll files from Microsoft and reinstalling them?
I have copied and re-registered the DLL files from a known-good machine (that is to say that the machine doesn't exhibit any of the symptoms as the above machine), which did not help.
I'm really interested in having Adobe respond directly to this issue. I know they are aware of it.
It's clear that Adobe doesn't actually want to support this program, but people rely on it for their economic success. Both my client and his employees need this program to function properly and reliably, and I think anyone would agree that it's reasonable to expect that a problem like this (that affects more than just us) be, at a minimum, addressed. Adobe has my client's money, they had no problem accepting it. With that acceptance comes a duty to be responsive.
Thanks,
David. -
InDesign CS6 Crash MSVCR100.dll
Same issue as this thread:
http://forums.adobe.com/message/4432510#4432510
Our company has purchased Adobe CS6; For our environment, our users are standard, locked down users with no rights to install software; On both of our Windows XP SP3 and Windows 7 64 Bit Enterprise machines, we have 1 drive split into 2 partitions; The C: drive is the main partition where all software is installed and a user has read only access to this drive. The D: drive is the second partition that the user has full rights to. Additionally we use redirected profiles through citrix profile manager to a shared server - app data and temp, along with other folders are redirected.
Had this issue since we attempted to install this for users. We already per other threads figured out the issue with Photoshop (temporarily give user admin rights, change scratch disk from C: to D:, then take away admin rights); The issue that has been around since is with InDesign - the only one we have this issue with. When I try and run the program as a standard user, the splash screen will come up and then crash (on both Windows 7 and Windows XP SP3); The resulting error is an AppCrash with Indesign.exe, referencing module MSVCR100.dll;
If the user has administrative privileges, it works;
If I were to create a local user account with standard privileges, it works;
Nothing else works - below is a list of what we have tried that failed;
Running in design on Windows XP SP3 (no changes);
The rest were all done on a Windows 7 64 Bit machine:
Giving user admin rights so that it could open, then turn off the welcome screen with InDesign; Taking away admin rights (so does not appear to be the welcome screen that is the issue);
Running in compatibility mode as Windows XP SP3, Running as administrator, and running with a combination of both;
Giving Full access to the C: drive as modify for a user
We cannot in our environment give users administrative access to their PC's for many reasons. That seems to be the only thing that fixes it. In the past we've had similar issues with other products but an update usually will fix this, this is still rather new so an update has not been put out by adobe... so looking for any work around that may actually work as this is a major issue.Hi Muntja,
I have nearly identical enterprise environment, tried all same steps. Dont have a solution for Indesign but still looking.
With photoshop, while adding/removing admin access works, try instead getting the normal user to hold down ctrl and alt when they first run photoshop.
This lets them change the scratch file location before photoshop loads and fails, just need to change to a location they can write to.

Photoshop CS6 x64 crashes msvcr100.dll
Hello there,
I am a bit trouble.. and hurry.
Currently I work on several giant Photoshop files with 7 to 11 GB filesize.
Every time I open the files, Photoshop crashes caused by msvcr100.dll
Strangely, this didn't happen before yesterday as the files had about the same filesize.
I did a lot of google-research for this error but I only get the info that NIK Software causes this problem.
But I dont have ANY Nik software installed on my system.
What I did so far:
- resetting PS-presets
- updating Windows, Nvidia drivers and Wacom tablet drivers
My system:
Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
PS CS6 (latest updates installed)
i7 3930k
32 GB Kingston HyperX 1600
Asus P9X79
GTX 570
Corsair F GT3
Thanks so farHere's a little more information.
I just updated the 'faulty' dll by replacing it with a new one. (as recommended in a earlier discussion) -> didn't fix the problem.
I found out, that it seems to be an issue of Bridge and Photoshop.
- If I open the file by doubleclicking it in Bridge, Photoshop crashes after it has finished loading the file. (Photoshop wasn't started yet) -> error
- If I open the file via Bridge CS6 and Photoshop is already started, it crashes as well -> error
- If I open the file via "Open recent" in PS itself, everything works fine. -> no error
- If i open the file via windows explorer, everything works fine -> no error
any ideas what this is?
I will try Bridge CC. (Luckily I bought the MasterCollection of CS6, so I can download Bridge CC for free)
Thanks in advance
Edit:
Same problem with Bridge CC. Well done, Adobe. -
TB failed on W7, W gave me a fault name: MSVCR100.dll
I installed TB on my Win7 machine, (lenovo, if it makles a difference) connected it to my e-mail account.
It worked.
Later I lost it because I did not make copies to desktop etc. So I did that.
Came back later, and the Thunderbird will not come up.
Windows gave me a fault module name:MSVCR100.dll Great! A module!

I hope somebody has seen this before.
FWIW Firefox does seem to work properly. The "module" is the Microsoft visual C++ runtime. Something else you have installed has stomped it or it has just been corrupted is my guess. Just download a fresh copy and install it and it will hopefully repair the issue.
Note that the Microsoft crash data is not useful here, but the Mozilla crash reporter information is, if you allowed it to be sent. see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mozilla-crash-reporter -

Can anyone help on this. I'm using win 7.Hi,
According to your description, I understand that the issue happens to several PCs with Outlook 2010.
I noticed that you have done several troubleshooting about the Outlook crash issue. I suggest we can install Outlook 2013 in a new computer and check whether the issue happens in Outlook 2013.
If the issue doesn’t happen in Outlook 2013, please update your Outlook 2010 to the latest patches and service packs and check whether the issue persists.

Adobe Lightroom 5.7 x64 not loading. Getting MSVCR100.dll file error
Getting a load error upon trying to start Lightroom 5.7. In the error msg box it's calling for MSVCR100.dll which I downloaded from the adobe solutions area and extracted to the Lightroom 5.7 folder to no avial. Also tried extracting it to the Lightroom 5.2 folder as well and no help there either. Have been using the product successfully for several months and then this happened for no reason?
Similar issues appear to be listed here: LR5: playing and importing video (e.g. *.mov) not working: DynamicLinkMediaServer not working & here: dynamiclinkmediaserver has encountered an error. message when dealing with any video in LR5, anyone have any suggestions?
I'm Running LR5.7, with Yosemite 10.10.1. I've tried uninstalling & reinstalling lightroom & checking my admin permissions but am at a total loss.

Frontend instance: Hana studio shows up with MSVCR100.DLL missing error
Hi all,
while trying to start the HANA Studio on my (newly created, nothing modified) frontend instance for the BW740 Trial I get an error message dialog telling me that MSVCR100.DLL is missing.
What is going wrong here ? Am I supposed to install this C++ related DLL ? Or is the Windows image on which this installation is based upon corrupted ?
Any help is appreciated,
Gerald SauerweinHi Gerald,
quick question, which of these two solutions are you using:
SAP Business Warehouse 7.4 SP5 incl. SAP Business Objects BI 4.1 SP2 on SAP HANA 1.0 SP7
SAP Application Server ABAP 7.4 SP5 incl. Business Warehouse on SAP HANA 1.0 SP7 [Developer Edition]
Both use different Windows images and it help us narrowing down the issue.
Thanks and Regards,

Maybe one you knows how to fix? Or had the same issue?
Greetings MarvinI found another fix, and I wonder why this one is so uncommon, because it worked like a charm for me.
There is a program called SFC which scans for missing or defective DLL and system files and repairs them. To make it work, you need to run it from the command line in "repair mode" which you can access when booting the pc. Running this program from a normal windows session won't work, because Windows won't have access to all the files.
If you hit F8 while booting, Windows will offer you some options to continue.
Choose REPAIR - don't worry, it won't do anything to your Windows installation until you explicitly opt for it.
Then you can choose your language and you can log in with your account. (Not the $homeusergroup)
Now click on the command-line icon. It will be opened right at c:\windows\system32
You can type in SFC /scannow
This program will search for defective system files and try to repair them. It may also ask for your Windows installation disc, if files are completely missing, but that didn't happen to me. -
Im getting this error because there was a bug in the flash player plug-in and it kept my cam from coming on so I deleted it thinking I could just reinstall the flash player. When I tried to reinstall I got the error (This program can not run because the
MSVCR100.dll is missing). Almost everything that involved this issue I fixed through windows program capabilities. All the issues were all flash player issues nothing else. The only thing I cant fix is IE. It will not even open and I do not get a error message
when clicking it.It just simply does not open. Im sure this is the issue. I have tried all the visual C links from microsoft and my pc says Im running a new version and it will not download. I dont use IE much but the fact Im missing a dll file has me concerned.Hi
You can reinstall Visual C++ again and see if it fixes the problem.
Hope this helps. Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread. -
MSVCR100.dll missing on your computer when starting SQL Developer
Hello,
I receive the error MSVCR100.dll is missing on your computer when I try to start SQL Developer.
I completed the following installations:
- Windows Server 2008 R2
- Oracle DB Express Edition
- Java JDK 1.7.0_02
When I now try to start SQL Developer I receive the error message that MSVRC100.dll is missing on my computer.
Does anybody experience the same problem and how can it be resolved.
Thanks
BerndHi,
Not sure what happened to that link, but I as far as I know it should make absolutely no difference for security purposes if one chooses the latest Java 7 update or the the latest Java 6 update. I would guess both code lines are patched to same level.
Perhaps you are referring to recent press about vulnerabilities in Java 7 updates _06 and _07? Those issues only apply to browser plug-ins, totally unrelated to SQL Developer, and those can be disabled easily without removing Java.
The official recommendation is to use the latest Java 6 update (jdk1.6.0-35) for SQL Developer. We recommend avoiding Java 7 due to bugs, but bugs unrelated to security.

WOW .. this sounds like this might be a PB 12.6 issue.
BTW: I would check the atl71.dll, atl100.dll, msvcp71.dll, msvcp100.dll, msvcr71.dll, msvcr100.dll file sizes and dates on the redistribution package vs what PB 12.6 installed in its "shared" folder.
FWTW: Sounds like you might need to open a support case with SAP on this one.
Suggestion: Can you try a lower PB release - like 12.5.x? FYI: Many of my Canadian Government clients are in production & running solid using PB 12.5.1 currently.

How to fix applepushservice.dll issues for downloading iTunes on Windows 7 64 bit
I recently had iTunes crash on my home PC, Windows 7 64-bit. I have tried several attempts to uninstall and reinstall the program and it still does not work and I receive error messages. The latest: The program can't start because ApplePushService.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem. Problem is, the articles that I have seen state this is an Unknown source and my firewall will not allow it to be installed. The original error was a Windows Error 7 (registry & .dll issues). Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

SP 2010 and Office 365 C2R owssupp.dll or interceptor.dll issues
Hello,
At my company we're having compatibility issues after upgrading our
Windows 7 SP1 64-bit NL-NL laptops
to Internet Explorer 11 and Office 365 ProPlus Click-to-Run
32-bit NL-NL.
Our
initial notebook configuration had Internet Explorer 9,
Office 2007 ProPlus and Lync Basic 2013 installed.
The upgrade path exists of deleting Office 2007 and Lync Basic 2013, installing the Office 365
Click-to-Run and letting Internet Explorer update via the Windows Updates
The issues we experience happen between our
SharePoint 2010 On Premise and the SharePoint Online environment.
While we had no issues before, now, when trying to edit a document on SharePoint 2010 On Premise
we get the message: "A Microsoft SharePoint Foundation compatible application could not be found to
edit the document"
Doing some digging around online a lot of topics point to the ‘owssupp.dll’ as a possible culprit
but to no avail we tried a number of suggested solutions, listed below. Some of these solutions might propably work for the Office 2013
MSI installation but none of them seem to apply to the Click-to-Run version.
- Repair Office (Fast and Online)
- Delete and reinstall Office
- Switch in IE between 32 and 64 bit mode but this is
not possible with Internet Explorer 11
- Tried the Microsoft Hotfix KB
2726997 but got the message that it
does not apply to our system.
- Check registry references if owssupp.dll points to Office 15
- Manually re-register owssupp.dll
- Replaced owssupp.dll by the Office 2007 version
- Checked if all SharePoint add-ons in Internet Explorer were enabled
-> 'Sharepoint OpenDocuments Class' refers to interceptor.dll
not owssupp.dll
- Check/Install “Microsoft Sharepoint Foundation Support”..
Click-to-Run doesn’t
have that option
- Create registry keys in: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Components\55EAFA0B8A4403B428FDE038B252C621
What there should be: HKCR\Installer\Components\55EAFA0B8A4403B428FDE038B252C621\x86\1033
What should be added: HKCR\Installer\Components\55EAFA0B8A4403B428FDE038B252C621\x86\1043
But the 55EAFA0B8A4403B428FDE038B252C621-key
doesn't exist with the Click-to-Run version and manually creating it doesn’t help
- Put the site in the 'Intranet Zone'
- Put the site in the 'Trusted Sites' list (prodsharepoint.kindengezin.be)
-> HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings\ZoneMapKey -> *.kindengezin.be
(REG_SZ, Data: 1)
- Check if our SharePoint 2010 On Premis environment is completely up-to-date
- Create
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office 15\ and placed the owsupp.dll in it; in case SharePoint would be looking for it in the wrong place; -> Keep in mind that the folder structure with Office
365 ProPlus Click-to-Run is different than the 'normal' Office 2013 as the owssupp.dll is now located in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\root\office15\owssupp.dll
- Checked if our Firewall settings are up to date (IP-ranges and other settings)
The test where I got it to
work, but is not a solution in my personal opinion is: Open the Lync Basic 2013 setup and only check
Support for Microsoft SharePoint Foundation
In your Programs and Features list you now have 2 entries: Microsoft Lync Basic 2013 Microsoft Office
365 ProPlus – nl-nl
I do not trust this “solution” as I do not know the future consequences of this “solution” in terms
of updates or functionality.Anyone? Have OWSSUPP.DLL issues with Office15 and IE11 as well - can't get the "Connect to Outlook" menu option on SharePoint calendars to show.
