MTA Message Tracking - status PENDING

Hi All
Any idea why MTA Message Tracking will say Status PENDING for all messages, but when you look from the client, it says Delivered/Opened etc.?
This is happening on all messages to all post offices etc.
Thanks
Emily

    Hi,
Also, we can run message tracking log to monitor the delivery report, please pay attention to the value of “EventID”. For example:
    Get-MessageTrackingLog –Sender “[email protected]” –Recipients
“[email protected]” –MessageSubect “Test mail” -EventId "Delivery" | FL

  • Message Tracking - Determing what happens to specific email

Good afternoon all!  I have a situation with a client Exchange 2010 server.  They have a front end/back end exchange setup.  They are running this on Server 2008 R2.  Mail is setup and working great.  They have ONE specific email
they receive on a nightly basis.  This email makes it through the front end spam solution, then passes the receive connector.  In the message tracking logs I see the message is received.  It is sent to a distribution group.  Other email
that is sent to the distribution group will have a corresponding expand and deliver logs.  This particular email does not have anything further than receive.  No other logs to identify why it is not being delivered or dropped or anything.  I
have run the following command to ensure I have the full information:
    [PS] C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\Scripts>get-exchangeserver | where {$_.isHubTransportServer -eq $tru

There are no further logs on this message.  For those that will read the delivery status notification.  This message is a bounce back message that they are not receiving.  I did change the Default Properties on the remote domains, so that
Allow external out-of-office messages and legacy out-of-office messages is selected as well as under message format: Allow Auto replies, Allow Auto Forward, Allow Delivery Reports, Allow Non-Delivery Reports are also all selected.
I am lost on where to figure out what happens to this email after the receive connector gets it.  Messages normally have other messages that show additional information; however this message just dies there.
Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks
    Jason

Thanks for the reply.  I actually started with searches for anything going to that distribution group.  I used the GUI version, then went to the shell.  Neither was able to produce anything beyond receive.  I thought maybe the group was
not setup properly to get emails from the outside, but after testing from my email address directly to the group, I see normal behavior it expands then delivers to the store.  With these particular emails, they only ever have the event of receive nothing
further.  Any ideas where to look when that happens?
    Thanks
    Jason

  • ISE Posture Status Pending

    Hello,
I am newly configuring and testing  Posturing/Client Provissioning on ISE.  I configured Client_Provissioning Policy without any Posture_Policy just to test it works or not.
My Wireless client can authenticate and get and install NAC_Agent successfully,  but after that no network access is given to the client pc.
on the ISE Authentication Reports it shows ( Posture Status Pending )
and on the Wireless client everytime when i open browser i get this message " Cisco Agent was detected and is running. If you are still unable to access the network please contact you administrator"
I dont know what is the issue, plz help

    Hi Ravi,
I have not yet configured any Posture policies.  i have configured only client-provissioning policy, i want to first test client-provissioning works properly before applying any Posture-Policy.
So My wireless clients are correctly redirected and recieve NAC Agent, but afterthat it seems that the NAC_Agent does not do anything and does not send any report back to ise for further processings.
on the ise Authentication Report i can see, the client is stuck in UKNOWN-STATUS , and shows Posture_Status Pending...
it does not go to Uncompliant or Compliant Status.
I dont know what can be the issue? neither ISE shows me the error , nor the WLC.

  • Cannot locate client IP Addess in message tracking logs

    Hello
Im having trouble with a client who has an Exchange 2010 environment. They wish to identify users (via their client IP addresses of their workstations) who may be sending a large number of emails.
In this environment there are two CAS servers that are hardware load balanced.
My client wishes to interrogate the Message tracking logs (I believe this is the right place) in order to identify the IP address of a client which sent the originating mails. However the message tracking logs returns only the address of the Load Balancer
and not the client IP Address of the sending machine.
Is this anyway this can resolved?
    Many thanks in advance

    Hi,
    Or we can use
IIS Advanced Logging. Add field “X-Forwarded-For” to the Advance Logging configuration to find the real IP address of the client device. Here are steps.
Install “Advanced Logging” on each CAS server: Double click on msi file. Check the accept checkbox and click, next, next and finish for the installation.
Add field “X-Forwarded-For” to the Advance Logging configuration.
From your Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2 device, open the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
From the Connections navigation pane, click the appropriate CAS or CHM server on which you are configuring Advanced Logging. The Home page appears in the main panel.
From the Home page, under IIS, double-click Advanced Logging.
From the Actions pane on the right, click Edit Logging Fields.
From the Edit Logging Fields dialog box, click the Add Field button, and then complete the following:
In the Field ID box, type X-Forwarded-For.
From the Category list, select Default.
From the Source Type list, select Request Header.
In the Source Name box, type X-Forwarded-For.
Click the OK button in the Add Logging Field box, and then click the OK button in the Edit Logging Fields box.
Click a Log Definition to select it. By default, there is only one: %COMPUTERNAME%-Server. The log definition you select must have a status of Enabled.
From the Actions pane on the right, click Edit Log Definition or right click and select Edit Log Definition.
Click the Select Fields button, and then check the box for the X-Forwarded-For logging field.
    Click the OK button.
From the Actions pane, click Apply.
    Click Return To Advanced Logging.
In the Actions pane, click Enable Advanced Logging.
Now, when you look at Inetpublogs, you will see a new AdvancedLogs folder will be available with new logs and these logs will have the client device IP address.
    Best Regards.

  • Status: Pending on Texts Sent

I have sent a text message and on the message report is says "Status: Pending"  Anyone know what this means?  Did my message go through?  The message was sent a few weeks ago and it still says the same thing.  Thoughts?  I do not want to send anymore message to this number if they are not going through.  Thanks in advance for your help.

"Pending" implies it has not been sent, but I didn't think they hung around for weeks - I thought it would try for a few days and then mark it as undeliverable....
Does the number have a block on text messages? Is the phone out of service? Try sending one more...may be they will both go through?

  • PlugIn - status pending

    Deployed a custom built Plug-In..
It seems to be collecting the data correctly and displays the data, but its showing "Status Pending" in OEM.
Any reason when is this message displayed..and how to troubleshoot...
    Thank you

If its the database thats pending I would suspect the configuration for the database.
Go into the agent screen, targets, then configure that database monitoring. I think you can do this too from the links on the bottom of the database home page (where it shows status pending) under Monitoring Configuration.
Of course dont forget to check the various logs on $AGENT_HOME/emd/logs

  • EM     Status =  Status Pending

I'm running 10g database Standard 10.0.4 on Windows 2003 server. I have created a databases that later had to drop and recreate....now in Enterprise Manager I get the follow message on the HOME page.
    Status Status Pending
Status Pending Since Mar 28, 2005 12:00:00 AM
I cannot get it to refresh. I created a new database and the data on this page for it comes up fine. Any ideas what my problem is with the first database?
I tried restarting the DBconsole for this database and doing the emca -r for it which may rebuild this.
    differences in EM
    Database that works
    Preferred Credentials
Target Type Total Targets Targets with Credentials Set Set Credentials
    Database 1 1
    Host 1 0
    Listener 1 0
    Database that has the problem
    Preferred Credentials
Target Type Total Targets Targets with Credentials Set Set Credentials
    Database 1 0
    Host 1 0
If this is the issue how do I fix the Credentials? Em doesn't seem to allow me to.
The listener for both databases are dynamic not static.

For status pending targets in EM you can see the agent logs or you can manually so an agent reload using emctl agent reload command. For setting credentials you have an option in EM. Also you can chk the configuration of the database through EM and see if anything needs to be changed.

  • Message delievery status report of specific email

    Hi,
I am using Exchange 2010 with sp3. My audit group require to message track of one email address.Means all the messages send or receive from this email ID  will be track with date, time and delivery status (Send,Receive, Failure and Read).
Is their any power shell command or script to do that.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Agreed. We can enable message tracking and retrieve related information via searching message tracking log. However, we don't get the status of READ, event id just offer "BADMAIL, DELIVER, DSN, EXPAND, FAIL, POISONMESSAGE, RECEIVE, REDIRECT, RESOLVE, SEND,
SUBMIT, and TRANSFER", there is no "READ".
Here is an article about the description of Message Tracking Log Fields for your reference.
Description of Message Tracking Log Fields
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc539064.aspx
Generally, to know whether recipients have read emails, users can request a read receipt when send emails. I'm afraid there is no way to get the READ status using a command.

  • Problem receiving from sender, showing in SmtpReceive log but not Message Tracking

Our Exchange 2007 server (SBS2k8 really) has had problems receiving mail from a certain sender the last few weeks.  With the SMTPReceive set to verbose, I can see the mail coming in but it never shows up in the message tracking logs.
Looking at similar issues, I thought maybe the content filtering agent might have been grabbing it, so I set up a transport rule to take any mail from this particular domain and set the SCL to 0 as well as bcc a copy of it to myself.  But I just noticed
another entry in yesterday's smtpreceive log and that didn't do the trick (or forward a copy to me for that matter).
I'm including some samples from our SMTP log.  I can see that when it works, after the 354 Start mail input line, our server sends a 250 2.6.0 code confirming the message has been queued for delivery, at which point the remote server sends a QUIT and
we close it.  But when it fails, there's nothing after the 354 line.
    Example of good transmission:
