MTO - Immediately confirmed before PO Creation

Dear Guru's,
as I am quite new to SD/PP, maybe my question will lack some information. Do ask if and when needed.
The problem is as such:
we need a general setting (preferably in PP) so that no planned production order can be generated before the Purchase Requisition(s) have been transferred into Purchase Orders. If the setting could be plant specific, even better.

Well, creation of Purchase Requisitions do not normally cause the creation of planned orders, except in certain subcontracting business scenarios, so I am more confused than ever.
I will speak to a couple of issues. APO Production Planning allows the creation of a PP planning procedure, which can be maintained in the product masters at the location (plant) level. Within the planning procedure, it is possible to configure it such that certain events will trigger automatic heuristic execution, and thereby create procurement proposals (automatic planned orders or automatic purchase reqs). There are standard Planning procedures (e.g., delivered with APO) and the client can also create customized procedures.

It is possible to set up jobs that will automatically convert planned orders to production orders within APO. The same jobs can also automatically convert purchase reqs to purchase orders.

It is unclear from your description if either or both of these functionalities have been implemented. It is unclear even if the users have a clear understanding of the solution that they are currently using.
Now to the most important issue. It is becoming evident that you will need some help in solving this problem. It is becoming evident that you also do not have a clear understanding of the business processes currently being executed through APO for this company. The solution of this problem will eventually require a person who understands 1. General APO functionality, 2. this company's business processes, and 3. the details of the current (unsatisfactory) solution. Having you write posts to a forum is unlikely to achieve any successful resolution.
If there are no resources available locally that have this skillset, the I suggest that the company engage a consulting resource that has experience in these areas, It will be money well spent.

User exit before TO creation to chage MAKTX field or FM to change it after

Hi all,
     I need some WM Expertise help.
     When I create a Sales Order from program (with bapicreatefromdata2) , the system automatically create a delivery, and then, a transfer order with no immediate confirmation. The TO is manual confirmed. In bapicreatefromdata2 I completed on each item line the field ARKTX with a description (Example: red - material description ). This field is automatically completed in delivery( same field ARKTX). But I need this description also in transfer order for each line (field MAKTX). The TO is created automatically and the field MAKTX is completed with the description from the material master.
     So, I need an user exit before TO creation to change the field MAKTX. I have tried user exit: MWMTO001 and is not working I think because the TO is created with no immediate confirmation. Also I putted break-point everywhere in program SAPML03T (standard program for TO creation) and I changed the settings in debugger mode. I checked System Debugging and Update Debugging. Nothing happened. I cannot find the place before TO is created.
     An alternative to this is to update LTAP (item table for TO) after TO immediate creation in include MV45AF0B_BELEG_SICHERN but I can't find a function module to update the table before TO manual confirmation. I tried L_TO_UPDATE_PREPARE but this I think is for confirmed TO.
     Any one who worked on this kind of things, Please help.

Change Purchase Order type ,price before auto creation of PO through MIGO?

I have reuirement infront of me.
We are creating return Purchase order through MIGO for Non-ordered items.
Purchase Order is created automatically by SAP.
I need to change its Purchase Order type , Net Price , Order Price Unit .
Is it possible to modify the content before the creation of this PO.
Please help me .

We are not using BPA ; is there any solution involving ASL and/or Sourcing Rule which can be used to meet the User requirement.There certainly is. It involves using either Blanket Purchase Aggreement (which you don't have) or using Quotes.
Once you have created either of those, simply create an ASL entry for the item(s), attach the Quote or BPA to the ASL entry; create a sourcing rule.
Once these setups are done, when a requisition is created and approved, it will get converted into a PO automatically.
And depending upon the value you enter in the "Release method" field on the ASL screen (and your PO workflow attributes), the PO will be created in incomplete status or it can be automatically submitted for approval.

Production order should be confirmed before in-process inspection UD

We guys,
I have activated the In-process inspection for one Finished goods and inspection lot is getting created when Production order released. This production order can be confirmed without UD for In-process inspection lot.
Please let know How can I control that Production order should not be able confirm before UD of Inspection lot for in-process inspection.
When production order released it means an production has just starded. Then What is the meaning in getting the inspection lot created on release of production. I think it is supposed to be on completion of each opration.
Please give your inputs.

Hello
inprocess inspection are used to assisst you to record results , defect , rework, during the production operation. It is defined to get created during the release of the order. It gives QM personnel a control over the quantity confirmation. You can do the result recording based on time and quantity.
Operation confirmation and UD are independent and it will not be possible to do confirmation once you do the UD.
The controls that can be brought in 03 inspection for a better usage
1) Result recording mandatory for all inspection points
2) QM operation can be confirmed only by QM personnel
3) At the time of GR of the order check whether UD for the lot is given. Make UD mandatory for GR of the order
4) Only after QM operation confirmation the next operation can be confirmed
5) make use of Rework to capture rework cost and First Pass Yield

We have a odd situation with a shopping Cart where Purchase Requisition Date (REL_DATE = March 11 2009) before SC Creation Date (March 31 2009).

After using Tab Groups earlier today, now anytime I close FF with more than 1 tab open, FF does NOT ask me to confirm before closing

After using Tab Groups earlier today, now anytime I close FF with more than 1 tab open, FF does NOT ask me to confirm before closing. FF always has asked me to confirm in the past and no settings were changed prior to trying the Tab Groups. Then when I reopen FF all the tabs that I had open are still there. I've tried refreshing FF and clearing history but that didn't work. It's almost as though FF thinks the window and tabs I have open are a tab group and it won't let me get rid of that group. How do I stop the Tab Groups now that I got them? Or is there something else going on? None of this was happening until I played with the Tab Groups this morning. I was curious what it was --- that's going to get me killed one of these days lol.

Thanks. Somehow the "Show my windows and tabs" box had gotten checked. I know I didn't check that box and the "Warn me when closing multiple tabs" box has always been checked. Like I said, it was all working fine until I tried the tab groups so I'm wondering if maybe that checks the "Show my windows and tabs" box by default?

Many will agree with me,
While creating SMS we press 'Enter key' for next line, and then we realise that incomplete SMS has been sent and we got charged for it.
There should be checkbox in Skype's Settings/Preferences for Messegeing:
[√] "Confirm before sending SMS"

The text of the submit button is transmitted to tell you which submit button was clicked, so naturally it doesn't send it if you don't click that button.
The usual trick is to create an field like <INPUT TYPE="hidden" id="actionfield" name="action" value="enter">
When an element that causes a submit, like clicking a button, happens then Javascript sets the value of the field to indicate the entry method. e.g.
onClick="document.getElementById('actionField').value='ok'; return true"
Obviously if the submit occurs due to hitting ENTER the action parameter will be "enter".
Actually few forms use submit buttons these days because they look a bit clunky, most use images for buttons and power them with JavaScript.

Can I get Siri to ask for confirmation, before making a call to someone?

Is it possible to get Siri to ask for confirmation before making a call, or delete the option completely of making a call with Siri, as I am right now avoiding using Siri completely, because it keeps calling up the wrong people, often making accidental transatlantic calls. Even when I am not even trying to make a call of any kind.

No. I got no answers. i have just stopped using a headset where I accidentally activated Siri often.
I just tested Siri again to see if the updates have helped, and with in 3 tests, it had made an transatlantic call while I was trying to do an email, so I guess not. If Apple could at least just program into it, that Siri should ask for confirmation, something like "Do you want me to call Andrew?

Configure Firefox to confirm before overwriting a file

I and most of the world's population do not have the best internet connection. At times it would manifest itself in a download that never finish and has to be manually canceled. The problem arises when after a successful download instead of clicking the "open folder containing file" I accidentally click the "Retry" button from the failed download just below it.
Firefox would overwrite the successfully downloaded file without asking for a confirmation. This is especially vexing for larger files which has huge cost for the user both in wasted time and money.
While this can be avoided if the user has the "Always ask me where to save files" option selected, said option caused another hassle when downloading a large number of smaller files.
In short, my question is :
is there a way to ensure Firefox -always- asks for a confirmation before overwriting a file ?

DQM before party creation

Hi,
We have a requirement to do DQM and check for duplicate customers before creating them in the TCA base tables using the HZ APIs. The creation of customers is done in batch using a custom concurrent program. So, we want to introduce the duplicate check before the creation and log any duplicates into the log file along with the duplicate customer information present in the TCA tables. Has anyone done this and which APIs have you used. Would appreciate if you could share the information.

Send Button - Confirm before sending?

I keep accidentally sending texts because while I am typing I will hit the "send" button (maybe when hitting O or P). Is there a texting app that has the send button somewhere else? Is there way to have to phone confirm before sending?

Be more careful - I have huge hands and fingers, a size 15 ring, and I never have had a problem with that.
The only thing I can think of is that you may be in too big a hurry, slow down a little, they aren't likely to move the "Send" button for SMS.

Jquery confirmation before running delete process.

All,
Ive a process to delete a record in the table but i wan to show a jquery dialog confirmation(not simple js confirm function) with YES & NO button so if i click Yes it deletes that record otherwise cancel the delete. Ive written the delete process and that works and displays the successful message as needed but now i want to add the confirmation part which prompts before that delete, what do i need to change ?

This is where iam so far, ive put the hidden DIV and added the js code and the hidden item, so if you click the button it popups the div with OK & CANCEL btn also set hidden item = ID value. also i put the process condition expression 1 eq 2 P1_REC_ID THE VALUE of ID eg 3. but clicking ok doesnt delete the record.
