MTP Insertion for IP Communicator

Hello,
Last time I was troubleshooting for soft phone call failure issue, where it gets a busy after a ring.
Call Flow
IP Communicator --> CUCM 9.1 --> SIP Trunk (early offer) --> SME 9.1 --> MGCP GW --> PBX
In the CCM traces I see soft phone was looking for an MTP resource, I added a MTP in MRGL and the issue got resolved. The SRND also suggest to add an MTP in MRGL for soft phone like legacy devices to make calls work with SIP early offer.
1. Could someone tell me what's the exact reason for the soft phone requires an MTP?
2. An MTP is in place, when there is an capabilities mismatch, most likely a DTMF issue. But considering we don't require DTMF and all for a basic voice call, can we make the call work without an MTP?

Hello Sukh,
You need to be able to route to the voice network from the data network. What is the default gateway on your network, the UC or ASA? If it is the ASA, you will probably need to add a static route on that device to the voice network.
Also, you might need to define the TFTP server IP address in the IP Communicator application. Finally, pay close attention to the NIC you are using on the PC. The MAC of the NIC being used must be the MAC associated with the ephone. If you have multiple NICs, ie one for wired and one for wireless, you can set in IP Communicator which NIC to use.

R/3 to xi connection for proxy communication

hi guys,
can anyone provide me with the settings on both the ends, of the xi server with an r/3 server for proxy communication as i am having difficulty setting the systems up.

Applications based on SAP WEB AS version 6.20 or higher can communiate with the XI in the native XI-SOAP format via proxies. All other applications, including "legacy" SAP systems (those on the Basis releases lower than version 6.20), communicate with the XI via Adapters.

How to use Crossbow Xmesh WSN LabVIEW drivers for downstream communication with motes

Hello,
I am trying to use LabVIEW Crossbow Xmesh WSN driver for downstreaming commands but driver programs are not working.
I am interested in changing node (Iris mote with MDA300 board) update rate from LabVIEW program running on host PC .
I have used Set node update rate.vi with open stream.vi and start stream.vi in proper sequence and developed a program to change node update rate. When program is run no error is shown but node update rate is not changed.
Pl suggest what I should I do.
What is the function of WSN write VIs (WSN write Raw 1sensor1point). For what type of message this is used.
I want to actuate relay on MDA300 with mote id 2. What VIs (from driver ) I have to use and how to issue command related to it.
Incase any one can help I will be grateful

I am sending you snap shot of VI developed to change node update rate.and also the heirarchy of drivers VIs used in the program for better understanding .
In case you can figure out why the command message send is unable to communicate with mote .
Also for downstream communication with motes the packet format used is described in Moteworks user manual from MiMSic.com
I think the developer of these drivers can help you out in solving my problem.

Can XI /PI be configured with a web proxy for outbound communication.

We have a business to business scenario. There is a firewall and web dispatcher for inbound from the partner.
I want to know if the XI system can be configured with a web proxy for any communication that is outbound from the XI system to the partner (outside the company).

2 cases for the configuration of HTTP Proxy:
1) If you use an adapter type running on the ABAP Stack (table PPROXY_C) and the RFC destination SAPHTTPA must to work.

2) If you use adapter running in the Adapter Engine then you have to configure the proxy for the JAVA Stack:

How to print inserts for suspension files on HP2540

I am trying to print label inserts for suspension files but cant find anything similar in "paper size" to set printing to. Does this machine not have a set up for this size ??

I have included the Printer Specifications for HP Deskjet 2540 and Deskjet Ink Advantage 2545 All-in-One Printer Series which shows which paper sizes are supported, including the range for any custom sizes. I have also included the Create Custom Paper Sizes in Windows 7, Windows 8, and Mac OS X for reference.

We attempt to detect if one end closes/drops the connection. termio(7I) states that it can be done thru turning on HUPCL, turning off CLOCAL, and catching SIGHUP. We tried different ways and we had never caught SIGHUP. Any advise would be appreciated.

hello, i think i have implemented what i wanted ... however, 1 last issue... i am observing that labview is reading the data twice of the serial port... for example..
the actual data is :
0x120x280x04; however, labview is reading 0x12 0x12 0x28 0x28 0x04 0x04.... i think that labviw clock is way faster than my uC clock, and before uC is sendin new data, labview is reading watever is in its internal buffer.. no matter if it is updated by uC or not...

There is no way of finding datetime unless you have a column dedicated for this.
Normally, designers add columns related to auditing like who and when inserted the record and who and when modified the record. Something like this:

I w'd like to know if LabVIEW 6.0 Application Builder includes the daqdrv (for data acquisition) and serpdrv (for serial communication) support files by default.

The LabVIEW 6i Application Builder no longer requires daqdrv. Regardless of your Application Builder and LabVIEW version, you must always install the appropriate driver files on the target machine. For example, if your application communicates with a DAQ board and a GPIB board, then you must install NI-DAQ and NI-488.2 on your target machine. If you are using the VISA VI's for serial communication, than you have to install NI-VISA . If you are using the "old" serial VI's, than you have to include serpdrv separately.
