MTS audio not imported

When importing .MTS video files Audition states the file "contains only video and a cannot be edited."  I know there is sound on the clip as I can import it into my video editor no problem.  Is there a solution?

Save it out as an audio only .wav file from your video editor and then open that in Audition.

  • Canon XA10 .mts audio not imported?

    Hello,
I have CS6 Master Collection. A few weeks ago it all worked well. Now, when I create a new project, the XA10 option included within the AVCHD sequence settingsfor the sequence does not appear.
I don't know if I was clear on that, English is not my first language...
The thing is that when I import the videos once I have selected the sequence I want, only the video appears, not the audio.
Could anyone please tell me what I can do to get both the video and the audio? I mean, which sequence settings do I have to choose?
    I was shooting in 25fps, 1080x1920.
I am still an amateur and I really need help because this is my biggest project so far! I really appreciate your help, thank you!

  • WMV audio not importing into Premiere Pro CS5.5/CS6

I have two Win7 machines running CS5.5 and CS6 respectively.  Prem Pro imports and edits the video sequence of a batch of wmv files recently referred to me for processing but does not show the audio at all.  The files play perfectly in Windows media player.  I presume there is a codec somewhere on my machines that wmplayer is using but how can I get Prem Pro to use it???  I don't usually use WMV but I have found some other wmv files which import nomally i.e. sound track included.  Loading the files into Handbrake lists the audio for the successfully imported files as Source: English (wmav2) (2.0 ch)  Codec: AAC (faac)  Bitrate: 160.  The files that Prem Pro does not import the sound for, list identically except that the source is shown as Unknown rather than English.   All other details (wmav2 etc exactly the same.
    Thanks

  • Audio not importing from MTS files

I have AME CS6, and when I import an MTS video, the audio does not get included for some reason.
After installing AME CC, when I import the same MTS file, the audio does get included.
Does anyone know how to correct this in AME CS6?
First image is from AME CS6:
This image is from AME CC:

Changing the Import method can sometimes resolve these types of issues. With any of the "memory card" cameras, important to use this method -
    1) Copy ENTIRE contents of SD card to your hard drive, all folders intact (do not use "transfer utility/conversion" software)
    2) In Premiere, use the MEDIA BROWSER to find and import media (usually tabbed at lower left side of Premiere interface).
    Hope this helps.

  • AVCHD Audio not importing correctly to Premiere

    Hey folks,
I have some interviews in AVCHD files that I am editing for work. I correctly preserved the AVCHD file structure, and when I playback the interview in Quicktime, there is no issue with the audio. However, when imported into Premiere Pro, the final ~6 min of the interview has bugged audio which just repeats one sample over and over again. Image attached
I have tried transcoding the clip to DNxHD but that did not solve the audio issue. I believe the problem lies with the Premiere software, or the file. But again, the audio playback in Quicktime is correct. Any help?

This could be a cache problem ... first, you might try deleting the cache files and see if that fixes it ...

  • Audio not importing from PP to AE (5.5)

I am baffled and hope that some one can help. I am working with a third party AE Template (No pluggins) and I have tried several ways but still no audio imports to AE. Original footage is from an HD Camera CF card and was pulled into my Mac as options: .CIF, .CPF, .XML, .MXF & .SIF.  The MXL (VLC File) is what I used for import into PP, which works great, however, when I start working in AE, no audio is pulled in. I have check on RAM Preview and even the Waveform is blank in the comp???
Any ideas, project due 7/10/13, starting to panic!
    Robert

I did a quick search and found that there's a Canon import utility to wrap all of these files up in a package that can be easily read. You'll find a doc here that explains it.
There are also several discussions about workflow with this camera on the net. There are discussions in the Premiere forum suggesting that a good alternative workflow is to use the Media browser to import your files into Premiere Pro. From there you could right click on a clip and select Create After Effects Composition.
This camera is not unlike others that split audio and video into separate files. Before they can be effectively used in production the elements need to be combined into a single container. That's what import utilities are for.

  • Powerpoint 2010 Audio not importing

I am a brand new user of Captivate 7. I have a large Powerpoint presentation that I have imported to Captivate, but none of the audio is present in the new presentation. Most of the audio was recorded in PPt Narration.
As far as I can tell from the very basic tutorials I have looked at, the audio should be there as a separate track?

    Hi,
Can you confirm whether this audio is narration was imported in Captivate or recorded. I did notice that you mentioned that most of it narration. Does that mean you are not getting any audio in Captivate?
What powerpoint version were these files created?
Could you also confirm what is the extension of your powetpoint file is it PPT or PPTX, try saving it as PPTX and while importing check the box for High Fidelity and Slide duration and verify the results?
In case the audio in Powerpoint was imported make sure that the imported audio file is in the same folder where the PPT(x) resides.
    Thanks,

  • MTS Files not importing to FCE

I am using a Panasonic HS700 importing MTS files to FCE via log transfer is not a problem.  Where I am having problem is with a customer of mine.  I specifically had them buy Panasonic HDC-HS60 because I knew it would work with FCE on my iMac.  The company brought me the MTS files on a hard drive for me to use.  I tried using Log and Transfer and it will not work.  I did notice that the Seagate hard drive was formatted for Microsoft and I am not sure whether that would make a difference.  I don't see why I need to buy a conversion device if the video was created on a compatible device to mine.  Any help please would be most appreciated.  Cheers

The reason is that you can Log & Transfer from your HS700 is because FCE is importing directly from the camera.  You can't do that with 'bare' MTS files on a hard drive.  In copying just the MTS files from the HS60 to a hard drive you lost the clip info files, clip index files and the folder structure that are require for FCE Log & Transfer to work.
When you copy from a camcorder to a hard drive you have to copy the entire AVCHD folder structure, not just the MTS files. (Imho it's best to copy everything from the root directory down, but peole have gotten away just copying the AVCHD folder & all its content.)
At this point you could either borrow the HDC-HS60 and Log & Transfer the video from it.  Or use Clipwrap to transcode the MTS video files to QuickTime/Apple Intermediate Codec before importing into FCE.

  • FLV source file audio not importing?

I use Adobe Connect to record online class session.
I then convert the recordings to FLV files.
I can play the FLV file using Real Player - video and audio are great.
However, I would like to convert the FLV file to H264 (MP4), which is easier for my students to use.
When I import the FLV source into Adobe Media Encoder, source info says there is no audio file.
I converted the video anyways, and video is great, but of course there is no audio.
    What am I missing?
    Tim Anderson

    Thomas,
Sorry for the delayed thanks on the reply.
Yes Connect does offer MP4 recording conversion, but it is an expensive add-on.  Guess I will make do with what the flv file.

  • Audio not importing

Some glitch with the computer I guess. I rebotted and it worked

  • Audio Not Importing With Video Clip

My issue seems to be the same as another on this board, but it involves an MPEG file. In QuickTime Player the clip plays video and audio fine. But when I import the clip into iMovieHD 6.0.3, the audio doesn't play. Any suggestions?

iMovie is a video edit app meant to work with firewire connected miniDV/D8 camcorders
you try to teach the old dog new tricks..
    Streamclip (free)
    converts mpeg1 into something editable..
if you're tying to edit mpeg2, you need addtional Apple mpeg2 plugin (20$)
choose in Streamclip dv/dv-stream as export option...
due to the nature of mpegs, you will realize a (dramatic) loss of pic quality...

  • Audio not imported to timeline with linked video

When I try to add (drag and drop) and video clip into the timeline in Premiere Pro CC the video show up but the audio that should be attached/linked to it does not show up in the timeline. I have scrolled down but it isn't in any of the audio tracks. Also in case anyone asks the audio doesn't play. I can however add audio (without video) to the timeline and that does work fine.
I cannot understand why this is happening but has been going on for a while but now I need the audio and have to have this figured out.
Any and all help is appreciated!

  • Audio CD import is not working the cd is ejected before itunes can read it

audio CD import is not working the cd is ejected before itunes can read it. Does anyone know how to fix this?
    Lainey

Does this happen with all cd's or one in particular?
    Reset the SMC http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
    Reset the PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
Try a cleaning disc. You can get them at places like Radio Shack.
If nothing helps your optical drive has probably failed. You can replace it or purchase an inexpensive external drive. Don't buy the Apple SuperDrive as it won't work with macs that have a built in drive.

  • Hi, I have problem with importing MOV files from SJCAM 4000. MOV files are in supported formats for Adobe Premiere Elements 11. But if I'm importing MOV file, only audio part is imported, video part is not imported. How can I solve this problem?

Hi, I have problem with importing MOV files from SJCAM 4000. MOV files are in supported formats for Adobe Premiere Elements 11. But if I'm importing MOV file, only audio part is imported, video part is not imported. How can I solve this problem?

    haben
From looking at the specifications of your camera (SJCam 4000), we know already what video compression your camera is using. It is H.264.
A H.264.mov file should be supported by Premiere Elements 11. On what computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 11 running?
Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer? And, are you running QuickTime and Premiere Elements 11 from a
User Account with administrative privileges? Please go to Premiere Elements 11 Publish+Share/Computer/QuickTime to confirm that you find
presets there for the QuickTime choice there.
What are the properties of these H.264.mov files - is it 1080p30 (1920 x 1080p30)  or something else? Do you know if this camera is recording with a variable or
    a constant frame rate?
Please review and consider and then we will decide what next.
    Thank you.

  • Pro cs3 not importing audio in avi files

ok it seems for some reason that my cs 3 is not importing audio in my avi files the video channel imports but no audio  anyone know a reason why this is please

AVI is but a "wrapper." This ARTICLE will give you much more background, plus direct you on finding out what is inside that wrapper.
It might be as simple as a setting change, but conversion will likely be the path to take.
Good luck, and let us know what G-Spot (in the article) tells you about that/those file(s).
