Mts no audio? fixed??

Hello ,  No audio on .mts file imports.
I've tried different "fixes" from hours of google but still not fixed. Is this something that can be done . I have no audio on Premiere Pro with imported .MTS files.
Imported through media browser to combine multiple clips
Please help.
Thanks,
A.J.

I have had 2 weeks of hell with regard to audio randomly dropping out,
not sure if it is the same problem as you,
my problem has been that the audio is randomly resetting to "nan" db
so if you right click on the source file and go audio the see what the db is set at, perhaps its the same issue I'm having, try adjusting to 0 or 1 db and often the level returns, howver beware it may pop back to "nan" db ie. giving the waveform in the timeline the appearance of flatlining.
good luck and let us know how you are going
(Adobe if you are listening, I'm still waiting on feedback)

  • Is firmware update (G4 Sawtooth audio fix) mandatory for upgrading to OSX?

Ive heard that you have to use the old Mac OS 9.1 to update the G4's firmware before installing OSX tiger. My problem is that ive bought a G4 without any existing operating systems and only have OSX tiger to put on it. I think the firmware is just an audio fix or something,
    has anyone updated without it?

Sorry but no. You have to use Classic to update it. Yeah well PC has no need to update firmware becuase they don't use Open Firmware, I think it's a UNIX thing. Not really sure on it, but if you'd like to know you can go to http://www.openfirmware.org
By the way, if you want Classic I can send you a disk that worked for my G4 AGP, I ordered two by accident. It installed in literally 2 minutes. It's extremely easy to install and it's worth it, booting up with new firmware is quicker. Not by much, but with a 450 mhz processor you'll notice the difference!

  • There has to be a quick audio fix.

Suddenly when I drag clips from the bin to the timeline, it doesn't bring the audio. These clips do have audio, and now even the clips that I dragged yesterday, when the audio was fine, aren't dragging their audio onto the line. I must have switched something, right?
      Mac OS X (10.4.8)

So, somehow I fixed it, by resetting the sequence settings, I think (God I'm a noob) but Now, each new clip I drag in, which I am laying text over, requires a new track to be added so I can have my text over it. I can see the video and audio clips trying to go in, but each new track makes them split further and further, I can't just have them be on T1 and A1.
Also, it seems like Final Cut is moving really sluggish which seems strange because I would have thought the machine I'm running it on would be able to handle it.

  • Flash Internet video, no audio : FIXED

I've seen a variety of posts lately about no audio from Flash video, e.g., YouTube videos with no sound.
Some users have fixed the problem by trashing ~/Library/Macromedia or incompatible plug-ins. None of that worked for me, but a simple fix from the Flash support team did work.
Run Applications/Utilities/Audio Midi Setup. Click the "Properties For" popup and choose Built-in Output. Set the Format field to 44100 Hz. Close the program.
This field was set at 96000 Hz on my system. (By Flip4Mac maybe?) Changing the setting restored Flash audio.
    Good luck,
    John

It is a guess, based on "what did I install last before this died." If it's Flip4Mac it's the intel version. Most people posting with this problem seem to be on new macs...

  • Premiere Pro CC, Dolby Digital License missing for MTS / AVCHD audio import?

    Hi,
I'm running Premiere Pro CC on Mac 10.8.4 importing MTS files captured on a new Panasonic V720 Camcorder that records MTS / AVCHD files.
When I add the files to my project or drop them onto the timeline, the video appears fine but there's no audio and I get the warning message:
"This installation does not have a license to decode Dolby Digital audio".
I've tried switching from 5.1 to 2-channel audio on the camera in case that was the issue, no change.
The file plays fine on the mac with VLC player or MPlayer - mplayer is decoding audio with the FFmpeg AC-3 codec. I've imported MTS files created with other cameras (but presumably with different audio codecs) into Premiere fine with my current setup.
Any suggestions for getting this video and audio to work correctly?
    Thanks!

Hey guys, thanks for the responses.  I have checked my audio preference settings and don't really see anything in there that looks helpful...the following are my settings:
The LG TV is actually hooked up through a 7.1 receiver...I'm not sure why it registers the home theater unit as the tv....but 5.1 does play through my PC just fine with every other program.
I've been playng around with the various export settings and have found that I can successfully export 5.1 audio using the H.264 preset and switching the channels in the audio tab to 5.1.  You cannot, however, do the same with the H.264 Blu-ray preset as it requires the above mentioned SurCode for compression.  I'm guessing that means the non-Blu-ray preset is then uncompressed?
The projects that I'm setting up are very basic.  I'm just using a single mp3 import and snapping it to one of the rear speakers.  While editing, the sound does fade from the front channels but nothing comes out of the rear channels.
I guess I'm just having a hard time understanding why PPCC can export 5.1 but not play it back while editing....
    Thanks again for the responses

  • FCPX audio fix for microphone POPs or BOOMs. B's, P's & T's

I'm editing footage, with FCPX, of a man speaking who was wearing a lav mic. I have a moment where he says the word, "intentions" and when he pronounces that first 't' the mic captured a really loud pop from his voice, almost like a booming sound.
Any ideas as to which audio filter I can use to best fix this?
When I try to search the web for help, anytime I try to find 'popping' audio issues the results generally refer to more of a crackling sound than an actual booming POP. And of course any searches for a mic issue reagrding BOOMS, I get results about the kind of boom mic a person holds over an actor to capture audio.
Thank you in advance for any help!

I am with you about the FCC part, I dont see where they would have any response dealing with what device a user has or uses....  That's a new one for me...
Now as for changing devices you can buy any device you want but the only option you have when you are still in a contract is to pay full price for the device because you wont be eligible for the equipment upgrade price.
Now as for the issues you reported about the device I really think that you are blaming the wrong thing for your issues, the issues could be software or even network related but I am more to believe this is a possible software bug not the device.
Hope the replacement resolved your issues....  Good Luck

  • Volume won't adjust on audio from MTS video audio line

I can't get the volume to adjust like fade in on an audio track from an MTS video.
Do I have to convert it to get the adjustments to work?
I tested a sample narration and I could change the volume with key frames including fade in.
    I'm confused.

For Audio, the best that you can do is PCM/WAV @ 48KHz 16-bit. Adobe programs can have issues with MPEG encoded Audio, and especially if muxed into a single AV file.
For more info on Conforming, this ARTICLE might prove useful. If one does not allow the Conforming to complete, upon Import, then issues can occur.
    Good luck,

  • MTS no audio

I realise that this is an old issue as I have seen several threads about it - however I am unable to find a solution in anything suggested.
I am using a Panasonic Lumix FT5 & importing the MTS file to premiere cs6 directly from the SD card - no audio in the files.
I am using the media browser to import the files - but still no audio.
I can play the video using VLC & audio works fine.
I have tried clean media cache also.
I have tried various video quality setting on the camera 720, 1080 etc & i have tried both connecting the camera via usb & using SD card directly.
    I am using OS x 10.8.4
    Can anyone help?

  • Sound/audio fix software

Is there a MAC/FCP software out there comparable to Adobe's "Audition" for fixing or sweetening audio problems like hums & hisses?

Glad to help. Now that we seem to have reached the end of the thread, if you believe individual posts have either been 'helpful' or or have 'solved' your issue, please mark them as such.
    Thanks for taking the time.

  • Probably impossible... peaking audio fix in FCP?

    It's awful.
Sound was recorded as a stereo pair using a lav. Peaks throughout an entire day of shooting (no, I didn't shoot it).
I know it's probably a lost cause, but does anyone know of a potential fix?

You might try bringing the track into Soundtrack pro and playing with it. But chances are where it's gone... it's gone.
For future reference, tell your shooter that when working without a sound guy and recording two channels from one source, a safe play is to set one channel to peak where you think it should and set the other several db lower. That's the one that's gonna save you when the talent decides to give you one over the top.
    EDIT
Having said that, you might try splitting you audio track to mono and listening to them separately (APPLE L, I think) to make sure that one channel was not recorded lower than the other.

  • STP2 having issues with audio fixes

For the first month I had STP2 bringing audio files, whether from FCP or just AIFFs from standalone, I was always able to run the power line hum and clicks/pop analysis with no problem. I was even able to apply the fixes with no problem.
Now, just recently, I can run the analysis but when I try to apply the fixes it will get about 75% through the file and then STP2 will throw an error. The errors have changed from stating it couldn't write the file to just the application freezing to others I can't remember.
Anyone have the same problem or an idea on the fix? I have more than enough hard drive space and RAM to do this with, and never had a problem until recently. Even created a new user just to see if it was a corrupt install of the software or my OS, no luck.
    Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Here is a screenshot of one of the errors.
Have trashed the preferences file, emptied the cache, and just about everything. No matter what file I bring in now it does this.

  • Audio fix for bum recording - faltering mic

I was given a recording that recorded about 3 seconds okay and then the rest of the recording is missing audio on the left side. This cannot be re-recorded, so I've got to make 'as-is' work. Is there anything I can do in garageband to add sound for the left side as well?
I found that I could do it by selecting AUMatrixReverb & tweaking w/ some other settings, but then it's just not as clean. Any other suggestions?
    thx, CM

  • Not sure which filter I need for audio fix...

Ok so I am filming this guy at a podium and my wireless mic is taped to the stand. Problem is that he starts talking, but walks away from the podium a couple times so I can barely hear him. Is there a filter to grab just the low audio and bring it up?
    Thanks!

No, you're filming him standing ON a podium. He's standing AT a lectern. The difference is as crucial as going to pederast for foot problems.
Yes and no. You must boost the level of the track to compensate for the diminished signal to noise ratio caused by the increase in source to mic distance. This will bring up the floor of the track along with the voice. Now you have to filter out the floor without diminishing the voice. It's easier in Soundtrack Pro where you can display the audio as a spectrum instead of merely volume waveforms. You must target the noise and exclude the signal.

  • Max OS 10.5.3 released, potential audio fix?

The new .3 release includes this in it's list of updates:
"*Addresses an issue with stuttering video and audio playback in certain USB devices*."

Just tried Audio Hijack Pro. The answer is no.
Jesus Christ, I might have to plug my USB mixer back into the Windows machine... at least it didn't stutter and distort and delay.
