MTTR and MTBR (Breakdown analysis report mci7) in PM.

Hi all,
this is regarding pm issue.
in mci7(ie MTTR and MTBR report) iam unable to get the required results for certain equipments.
ie it is showing very high values.
please guide me in this regard.
Regards,
santosh.

Dear Maheswaran,
as per your post iam sending the following information.
1. What is the start up date?
Start up date for Equipment 1&2 :  1-4-2006
Start up date for Equipment 3      :  30-11-2004
2 Go to IW29, give the input for Breakdown notification type & get the list of notifications. From that, give the number of notifications created, breakdown duration for each notification (Check for Breakdown check box in those notifications & give that particular number)
In IW29 i found following
NOCO Status 6 nos
OSNO status 1 no
NOPR status 6 nos
Breakdown duration is as follows
NOCO--1.42h
NOCO--0.13h
NOCO-- 1h
NOPR-- 2h
NOCO-- 0.81h
NOPR--  0.82h
NOCO-- 0.87h
NOCO-- 1.05h
3) in mci7 i used to give date as 09.2010 to 07.2011
4) in mci7 i used to give date and equipment no as input.
pleae guide me in this regard.

  • Breakdown analysis report MCI7

    Dear Experts,
    I created a break down notification for an equipment installed under a functional location and completed the notification after entering the breakdown hours with breakdown indicator checked.  Now if i run the MCI7 report with the functional location of the equipment, it does not give a break down analysis. Is it the way it usually responds or there are some additional settings we need to do?
    Please let me know
    Thanks,
    Boby

    Please ensure that the 'Startup date' field in the Equipment Master (Header tab) is filled. When there is only one Breakdown notification on a particular equipment and the 'startup date' is not filled, you will not get MCI7 report, because the first notification will be consumed as the 'startup date'. As soon as you fill this field, the MCI7 report starts, even if this only notification is created/completed before filling the field.

  • No MTTR and MTBR in Table S070 for Query

    Dear All,
    I tried to create a Query using Table S070 to modify the Breakdown report a little.But i am unable to find the MTTR and MTBR fields as below in the Query for to select in the list.So How to get those fields or Which table i have to use for to obtain those fields??
    Regards
    M.Manojkumar

    You are getting the total  TTR and TBR values from the S070 LIS. When you divide these figures by the number of breakdowns (field SMSAUS) of then the result is MTTR and MTBR
    For formulae see this picture:
    Here One failure  is one Downtime. Add all these downtimes and divided by no. of downtimes for MTTR.
    And Operating Time (between failures) is the Uptime. Add all Uptimes and divide by no. of Uptimes for MTBR.

  • MTTR and MTBR Calulation

    Hi
    Can Anyone Explain me how MTTR and MTBR is calculated for following cases.
    1.What will be the MTTR and MTBR for the Equipment which is breakdown for the first time.
    2 And How to calculate MTTR and MTBR for equipment which got breakdown for more the one time,
    3. what are all the thing taken in consideration for calculating the MTTR and MTBR.
    4. Can we convert the MTTR and MTBR reports in days which is currently in hours in system.

    Hi Sandeep,
    Let's first understand the concept.
    Suppose an Equipment started operations and worked for 1 year. Suppose this equipment underwent Breakdown for 5 times in this period. like this
    1st  for 10 hrs
    2nd for 3hrs
    3rd  for 8hrs
    4th for  20hrs
    5th for 17hrs
    MTTR = (10 + 12 + 8 + 20 + 5) / 5    = 11Hrs
    MTTR is nothing but the average Repair period.
    Now what is MTBR?
    Think about the intervals between these Breakdowns.
    Interval between 1st and 2nd Breakdown -  80 days (1920 hrs.)
                             2nd and 3rd    --               30days (720 hrs)
                             3rd and 4th     --              180 days (4320 hrs)
                             4th and 5th     --                20 days (480 hrs)
    MTBR =  ( 1920 + 720 + 180 + 20 ) / 4   =  3720 hrs
    Now let's come to you queries
    1. Obviously MTTR for the 1st breakdown will be equal to the Downtime of the first breakdown.
        MTBR not applicable because there is only one breakdown.
       Even MTTR is nor applicable for this very reason.
    2 & 3  I think these have been answered in detail.
    For Calculations of MTBR, the Startup date in Equipment Master is taken as reference date. If this field is blank, then the Malfunction Start Date of your 1st Breakdown Notification will be taken as reference date.
    4. For this you need to go for a simple development.

  • MTTR and MTBR

    CAN ANY ONE TELL ME HOW TO CALCULATE MTBR
    my update status is 26,
    start up date of equip= 01.08.2011
    1st  break d d = 10.08.2011
    break hours = 10 hours
    2nd break d d= 20.08.2011
    breakd hours = 5 hours
    when i execute ME17 result is MTTR=7.5, MTBR =229
    problem is that 229 this is a value of system but when i manually calculate the MTBR result is completely different
    PLEASE TELL ME IN BRIEF HOW I CALCULATE SO THAT I CAN GET RIGHT VALUE MANUALLY (BY MY HAND)

    MTTR and MTBR
    MTTR= Mean time to repair
    MTBR= Mean time between repair
    Example = Compressor
    Start-up date of compressor = 01.08.2011
    1st Breakdown = 10.08.2011
    Break down Duration = 10 hours
    Time =   08:00:00 to 18:00:00
    2nd Breakdown = 20.08.2011
    Breakdown Duration = 5 hours
    Time = 12:00:00 to 17:00:00
    MTTR=   sum of total breakdown hours                                                                                .                   Total no. of breakdowns
    MTTR = (10+5)/2 = 7.5
    MTBR = (Total Running Hours Till Last Breakdown - (N-1) Breakdown duration) / N                                                .                             .                                                                                (N means total no. of  Break down)
    Total Running Hours = (Notification Start date - Equipment Start date)*24
                                                                                +
                                                (Remaining hours till last breakdown not start)
    VERY Important: in this example the last breakdown is on 20.08.2011 and breakdown start at 12:00:00 ou2019clock at noon time, I mean to say the hours between the 00:00:00 to 12:00:00,  before  breakdown start is 12 hours . this 12 hours or hours before the breakdown start , many people forget to add this in Total Running Hours.
    Total Running Hours = (20.08.2011 - 01.08.2011)*24 + 12 hours (hours between the 00:00:00 to 12:00:00, before breakdown start)
                                         = (20-01)*24 + 12
                                         = (19*24) + 12
                                         = 468 hours
    MTBR =   468 - 10  ( N-1 means leave last breakdown, sum of duration of all remains breakdown) / 2                               .
    MTBR = 229 hours

  • UCCX 8.5 - Historical Reports - Traffic Analysis report and Application Performance Analysis report different calls presented

    Hi,
    Please Advice.
    When I compare Traffic Analysis report and Application report, Calls presented are not same. Please Help !
    Also attached herwith the reports

    Mohammed,
    It is common, in many of the Cisco Express 8.5 environments we have looked at, for the Total Incoming Calls given on a Traffic Analysis report to be a higher number than an Application Report.
    The Traffic Analysis Report counts every unique sessionID (unique call) that is inbound (contact type of 1).  The Application Reports do a similar thing but qualify (filter) only the records that have an application assigned.
    There are simply times where inbound calls have been directed to an "agent" without having an applicaiton assigned.
    The best thing the reporting user can do is to run a query on his or her database such as:
         select * from ContactCallDetail where contactType=1and startDateTime > '2012-11-16 10:00:00' and startDateTime < '2012-11-16 11:00:00';
    Usually when an application is not assigned to the record in the ContactCallDetail table it is because the destination type is equal to 1, which is an 'Agent' instead of a 'route point'.
    So if you modify your select statement to filter by destinationType, you can quickly find the records that don't have the application assigned.
    Example:  select * from ContactCallDetail where contactType = 1 and destinationType = 1 and startDateTime > '2012-11-16 10:00:00 and startDateTime < 2012-11-16 11:00:00';
    When you look at these records, you will see the agent that took the call from the destinationID field.  The number in that field should match up with the field called 'resourceID' in a table called 'resouce';
         Example:  select * from resource where resouce=6011; where 6011 was the number you found in the destinationID field.
    If there is still confusion about the source of the call - then talk to that agent and find out what is was.
    Good Luck and let me know if you need further help.

  • Plant Maintenance Business Content - MTTR and MTBR

    Greetings to all,
    Was wondering whether anyone has any idea which standard (international?) SAP is following, when developing formulas to calculate MTBR (Mean Time Between Repair) and MTTR (Mean Time To Repair) in the Plant Maintenance Business Contents.
    It will be great help, if there is an indication on this!
    Thks!

    Hi,
    Yes, I have seen those notes. But was wondering whether there's a specific international standard that was followed.

  • BREAKDOWN ANALYSIS V/S MTTR-MTBR ANALYSIS

    Dear Friends,
    I want to know what is the difference between MTTR-MTBR analysis and Breakdown analysis?
    T-code for Breakdown Analysis is MCI7 in Standard analysis but this shows the MTTR-MTBR Analysis then if this is the MTTR-MTBR Analysis, then how can we find out the actual breakdown analysis from sap?
    Thanks in advance

    HI,
    Suppose take an equipment  K3001 -compressor
    It fails 2 times this month.
    Then Breakdown is 2.
    MTBF -  is Mean time between failure
    The running hour between these two breakdown is MTBF  For ex:  150 hr
    MTTR - is Mean time to repair.
    After Breakdown the time you take to repair and make it operable  is MTTR  for ex: 8 hr
    MCJB  &  MCJC   - MTTR  -MTBF  report

  • MTTR , MTBR, break down analysis reports

    Hello ,
    I am new to PM module. I want to understand basic concept of MTTR and MTBR and the SAP config. required to get the above metioned reports in SAP.
    It will be a great help if some one can elaborate steps required in config. and prerequisites to fetch the reports from the scratch.
    Related links, documents will also be a great help for me.
    Thanks

    Hi AR1,
    There are three cases which are important for the breakdown analysis. These are represented in the following diagram, which displays two reported breakdowns in each case.
    Three Cases for Breakdown Analysis
    Key Figures for Downtime
    The key figures for downtime comprise the following figures:
    u2022 Downtime entered/Time To Repair
    u2022 Mean Time to Repair
    The average duration of a machine breakdown, MTTR (Mean Time To Repair), is calculated from the individual history of a piece of equipment. This gives the following formula:
    The key figure MTTR is calculated in hours.
    First breakdown 10 hours
    Second breakdown 05 hours
    Number of breakdowns 02
    MTTR = 10 + 5 / 2 = 7.5 hours
    To calculate the key figure Mean Time To Repair, in the breakdown analysis (information structure S070) the effective breakdowns and the number of effective breakdowns are taken into account. In all other analyses (and the underlying information structures) the noted breakdown duration and the number of noted breakdowns are taken into account.
    Key Figures for Duration Between Machine Breakdowns
    The key figures for the duration between machine breakdowns comprise the following ratios:
    u2022 Time between Repair
    u2022 Mean Time between Repair
    The average duration between two machine breakdowns, MTBR for short (Average Time between Repair), is calculated from the individual history of the equipment. This gives the following formula:
    The key figure MTBR is calculated in hours.
    The following example shows how the MTBR is calculated:
    Acquisition date of pump A 01.01.94
    First breakdown 10.01.94
    Downtime 10 hours
    Second breakdown 20.01.94
    Downtime 5 hours
    Number of breakdowns 2
    MTBR = (19 * 24 - 10) / 2 or X + Y (hr) / 2
    = (456 - 10) / 2 or (216 + 240 - 10) / 2
    = 223 hours
    Example: Average Duration Between Two Machine Breakdowns (MTBR)
    Hope it may help to you

  • Sales Analysis report in XLR

    SAP XLR Sales per Customer by Item report that published in the portal doesn't include document discount. This is a reason for the differences between XLR and B1 sales analysis report.
    How can I calculate discount from the document in XLR when the report is run by invoice/credit memo lines.
    Edited by: Philip Eller on May 16, 2008 8:56 AM

    Hello,
    In XLR Composer> Sales tab, if you want to design a report group by document number, then choose the Document Number light dimension first,then "discount% per document",  choose item/quantity/row total and so on for row level information. This will give you the result instead of 0.
    If you want to run the report group by items. The same way you can do but the only difference is choose the item Dimension first, then you can also drag document level ,Document number for example.
    Header and row levels table can be connected and use together if there is the relationship between them.
    Choose discount % per document and then use calculation to calculate the discount amount of a document.
    Hope this helps.

  • MTTR/MTBR Breakdown and Machine Failure Time

    We create PM Notification with the IW24 where we enter the Breakdown time.
    The problem is that we need to monitor the MTTR/MTBR (MCJB, MCJC & MCI7) but only when there is a breakdown because of a malfuction of the machine (machine failure) and not for a non-machine-cause breakdown. We need to register both times (Breakdown, and Machine Failure).
    I think that an option is using these 3 scenarios:
        1. If we select the "Breakdown box" it will be a machine failure.
        2. If we not select the "Breakdown box", but there is a quantity on the "Breakdown duration" .. It will represent that there   were a Breakdown.
        3. If we not select the "Breakdown box", but there is NOT a quantity on the "Breakdown duration" .. It will represent that there were NOT a Breakdown.
    The problem is that if we use the 3rd scenario, when we save the Notification (or the PM Order) the time disappears.
    ¿There is an option to save the time even do the "Breakdown box" is not selected?
    ¿Where can I configurate the PM Notification? ¿Or where can I configurate the MTTR/MTBR (MCJB, MCJC or MCI7)?

    Hello
    Manzarek     ,
    I will suggest you following;
    1.Just create different different notification types for all your scenarios.
    2.Just select the breakdown vies in the notification type where the actual machine breakdown occurs due to machine failure.
    The path for that is
    Plant Maintenance and Customer Service->Maintenance and Service Processing->Notification Creation->Notification Types->Define Notification Types
    3. You can not directly enter the breakdown time without completion of the same.

  • Breakdown Analysis Vs MTBR/MTTR Analysis

    Hi,
    I have created one equipment. Start date for that is 28.04.2010. After that, I have created 3 breakdown notifications. Based on that, I have created orders & completed fully. Now I am trying to run both the reports like MTBR/MTTR Analysis & Breakdown Analysis.
    Results:
    MTBR/MTTR Analysis:
    Total Breakdowns: 3
    Total Downtime: 62 hours
    MTTR: 20.67 hours
    MTBR: 219.33 hours
    Time between repairs: 658 hours
    Breakdown Analysis:
    Actual Breakdown: 2
    MTTR: 12 hours
    MTBR: 252 Hours
    Why this difference between these 2 analysis. Can you please explain.
    Regards,
    Maheswaran.

    Hi Narasimhan,
    Thank you for prompt reply. I have checked all the dates as well for overlapping. But there is nothing like that.
    This is for your information:
    1st Notification:
    Start Date: 04.05.2010 Start Time: 10.00.00 AM
    End Date: 06.05.2010 End Time: 00.00.00
    2nd Notification:
    Start Date: 15.05.2010 Start Time: 10.00.00 AM
    End Date: 15.05.2010 End Time: 20.00.00
    3rd Notification:
    Start Date: 27.05.2010 Start Time: 10.00.00 AM
    End Date: 28.05.2010 End Time: 00.00.00
    There is no overlapping also. But I dont know why. If there is any overlapping, in MTBR/MTTR analysis as well, result could be same if I am correct.
    Please clarify.
    Regards,
    Maheswaran.

  • Sales and Purchase Analysis reports by Item

    The current functionality of these reports is more like an open items list rather than an analysis report.
    If you Run a Purchase Analysis report by Item with a secondary selection of Supplier, and choose GRPO - the scenario is to find out how many of which products you have received in the date range from a specific supplier. This type on data is useful to use for negotiations on pricing etc.
    Currently, the report will only display values for GRPO that have not been drawn to AP Invoice. This is supposedly system functionality, but, the report is called analysis, so should provide data for that purpose?
