Much help needed

So lately I've been having a fair bit of trouble
to start off with my phone would show the red asterix mark when I had a new unread text and/or email
then would obviously disappear when read
for a while it stopped showing the asterix
so I connected it to my computer and lowandbehold it starts working again
until last night when I have an email the facebook app
the red asterix is now on my text box and wont go away
how do I get rid of this?
I went through my inbox, no unread messages at all
help...

Tips for clearing that unread message... try them in order.
If you have a rogue New Message icon on your Homescreen, or a negative count (-1), any one of these solutions could clear it, or reset it to zero:
Try these options:
* Hard Reset the BlackBerry by holding ALT, CAP (right Shift key), and DEL (or with the BlackBerry powered ON, remove the battery and reinserting the battery)
* View Messages > Saved Messages
* View Messages > View Folders, check each folder (missed calls, SMS in and out boxes, MMS in and out boxes, Saved, browser, phone logs etc)
* Scroll to top of message folder, over the date heading, click or press menu to MARK PRIOR OPEN
* Change your theme and see if it persists, and change back to your desired theme. (Options > Theme > select.)
* Wipe and reload your OS.

Reading/Writing the Microsoft XP/OSX Memory...MUCH HELP NEEDED!!!

(This post might not be as lengthy or as indepth as it should be because I just closed the page thinking that when you click "formating help" that it would open a popup, not paying attention, I CLOSED THE WINDOW!)
This should be a pretty straight forward question. I need a script written in either:
A) JAVA
B) JNI
C) C/C++
D) Visual Basic
... to be able to access the variable that coresponds the the value of a text box in internet explorer on a webpage, a text box in another application, like word, or anything along those lines.
Or
...to be able to read the memory in Microsoft XP home edition (OSX if possable, too) out to a file. It then needs to be able to upload that memory from the same file it makes, but the file is altered, witout crashes, freezes, etc. This script also has to be called from a java script (not javascript). I know that this would be a BIG security issue but...
AND NO THIS ISN'T FOR CREATING/MODIFYING A VIRUS.

I think the answers you got over [url http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?thread=524137&forum=54]here were excellent. You should now know that Java is a terrible language for this kind of thing. You would be much better off with some kind of a native language like C++. Even then, you are going to have to get heavily into the internal Windows system to get what you want from another application and I can't even imagine what you would have to go through to get it out of IE.
Anyway, I doubt you are going to find what you are looking for in the 'New To Java Technology' forum. You might be able to find something like this if you found a 'Hacker Forum' with people on it who had spent the time to find out how to steal information from other programs (probably at least a couple of years) and didn't mind if they got invovled with someone who might be talking to the FBI shortly.
Your only other option would be to spend the year or two it would take you to learn enough to do it yourself.

Dead (but not) iBook G4... Much Help Needed!

There I was, minding my own business, checking my Facebook page and reading a few emails when all of a sudden...
"You need to restart your computer. Hold the power button for a few seconds blah blah blah"...
So I do.
It restarts.
Same thing, but this time I hadn't even opened anything.
So I restart again.
This time, it doesn't even get to the log-in screen.
I try again and again and nothing.
I "safe boot" the iBook and I can log in and look around and grabbed the "panic.log" file, which means nothing to me.
Can't find my install disks, Apple want to charge me £70 (or more) for a new set... I'm getting a copy of Leopard soon anyway (friend, un-wanted upgrade disk etc), I'm going to run the Diagnostic thing as soon as I've burnt the dmg to CD using Windows (yes, it CAN be done!)...
In the mean time, can someone help decifer the log? What the **** is actually wrong with my iBook? it can't be a hardware problem because it boots up in "safe boot"... I removed any new programs I install that may have screwed it up... Totally lost now.

Ok... Tried it
Loaded up first time with AirPort off. I let it settle down, did a few simple things (Word, Preview, Spotlight). Did some complex stuff (Photoshop, Illustrator, Logic 7)... All fine.
Turned AirPort on: CRASHED
But then...
Loaded up second time with AirPort off. Let it settle. Turned AirPort on....
DIDN'T CRASH!
Checked the panic.log for the last crash and again, AirPort came up in that same part of the log.
Is it worth me taking this to my nearest dealer/reseller/service shop? Would they be able to do anything (cheaply-ish - as long as it costs a lot less than buying a new MacBook/2nd Hand iBook)? It seems to me like an inconsistent error but I don't want to get my hopes up, start using it, and then have it break on me all over again....!

Glitch or problem, much help needed

last night I tried playing a video on my 30gb video ipod, and the audio and video were really off sync (the video was moving high speed, the audio normal) but I didn't think twice because I didn't look at the file after converting it to mp4 (I'd had files not convert properly before). I hit menu and went back. Out of good faith I tried again. This time it starting playing the video even more "glitchy" then it went to a blank-black, but glowing, screen. I held play/pause and it would not turn off. In desperation, I let it just sit overnight hoping it would turn on. Come this morning, it was off. I hit the power button, and it started up, but then the bottom half of the apple screen glitched (colors went almost reverse) and then it went off. I plug it in to my computer and the battery charging screen comes up but it too is glitched (no color and not all of icon visible). However after opening itunes, the "do not disconnect" screen is showing and it looks perfectly. Now it's showing the menu screen and it successfully erased the "bad" video. I tried playing a random song and video and both worked fine. I don't feel I wasted time typing this now, because I'd still like somone to explain what went wrong...sorry for so much type.

Videora ipod converter...... much help needed .....

i converted an avi movie to mp4 using videora, but i cant seem to find the location of where the converted movie is located ....... help anyone .. please ....

For Windows XP:
Videora places the converted video in a folder labeled Videoraipodconverter which can be located in your program files folder. There should then be a folder labeled Videos. Here is a path for example:
C:\Program Files\VideoraiPodConverter\Videos

In short, I love it. I was going to buy the 5DMark III. After playing with it for a while at my local Fry's store where they put 5DMII, 5DMIII and 6D next to each other, using the same 24-105L lens, I decided to get the 6D and pocket the different for lens later.
I'm upgrading from the 30D. So I think you'll love it. It's a great camera. I have used 5DMII extensively before (borrowing from a close friend).
Funny thing is at first I don't really care about the GPS and Wifi much. I thought they're just marketing-gimmick. But once you have it, it is actually really fun and helpful. For example, I can place the 6D on a long "monopod", then use the app on the phone to control the camera to get some unique perspective on some scenes. It's fun and great. GPS is also nice for travel guy like me.

HELP NEEDED!! (please) CS6

HELP NEEDED! I have been working for 3 days in a "new doc". Of course i have saved several times (control+s)
but i do not remember it asking me about file name or folder. Today my comp crashed and i do not find the file. Just found 2 files (a tmp and one with no extension)
: one with 174 mg and another one with almost 2 gb. Is there any possibility to recover my work? Photoshop did not oppened a thing when i restarted comp

The TMP file is your Scratch Disk file, and cannot be "recovered" to an Image file.
Your second file might be almost anything. Though designed more for video files, both G-Spot and MediaInfo (both free file info utilities), CAN read several Still Image file types, and might help point out what that file (the one with no extension) really is. OTOH, as it could be almost anything, it could be that there is no header info in the file, for either to read.

PS - Before I did much additional work, I would investigate WHY your computer shut down. If you are on a PC, I would go into Event Viewer, at the time of the shutdown, and see if you can track down any warning, or error messages, in both the System and Applications Tabs. I am pretty sure that a Mac has similar, but have not a clue where, or even what it would be called.

Help needed for using BASIC authentication through JDBCRealm

I am doing a degree project, so far it works fine in my local machine, I need to try it on my virtual hosting (as it is a live server).
My project requires JDBCRealm, that is BASIC authentication loading access data from mysql database. Normally this setup can be done in Server.xml file, because my Tomcat hosting is a virtual one, I only have permission to access the web.xml file.
My question is: is it possible to get it done in an alternative way? In web.xml? Some properties file maybe?

You can set this up for your context using META-INF/context.xml instead of working with server.xml.
Make a directory called META-INF under your webapp ( it'll be at the same level as WEB-INF ). Under this, add a context.xml with all your context specific configuration including the realm. A sample is below

URGENT HELP NEEDED ... Tomcat Realm and JRE1.4 plug-in problem

I have tried the Security Realm of Tomcat. Since I do not have
an LDAP server, I decided to use the Tomcat-users.xml file in
Tomcat\conf directory.
I added the following lines of code in the web.xml file.

The <role-name> "webviewer" is added into "Tomcat-Users.xml" as the following:
<tomcat-users>
<user name="test" password="password" roles="webviewer" />
</tomcat-users>
So, now when we type the url: http://localhost:8080/adbpdbre/default.htm, TOMCAT shows a dialog box asking for UserName: and Password:Now, only when we give the username and password, it shows the page. This is exactly what we want.
But the problem now is, this default.htm page, has 5 links to 5 applets. The first time that I click on one of these links, the JRE plug of 1.4 shows a dialog again asking for the username and password. Till I dont provide the username and password the system doesnt go ahead and applet doesnt load. I do not want the JRE to ask me for the username/passwords again..How to avoid this ?
Can you give me some more information on this. Ultimately in the production usage, we will be using LDAP and not Tomcat's memory realm.

In the config file, you 're essentially saying that you want Tomcat to prompt for usr/passw on every request (url-pattern = /*) made by a 'webviewer', and that's exactly what Tomcat is doing.
Consider using specific url-patterns & roles for resources to be protected. If for now, all you need is to protect the first page, use a more specific url-pattern.
Just an advice : if you'll be using LDAP in production, do not waste time with Tomcat's Security Realm and the BASIC authentication type, since the two have not much in common. Start reading doc on LDAP, and code a prototype, or even better, a vertical slice of the app (i.e a proof of concept).

I’m working on a Report, it gets some 2 million records and the report pages are approximately 52,000
It works fine if the pages are lesser then 48,000 or the data is less let say one and half a million, the problem occurs only after 48000 + pages formatted.
Report is generated successfully when trying to go to the last page it throw an error.
REP-1800 Formatter error
VGS-1701 Not enough memory
I have already gone through the metalink DOC Id 95505.1 as well as OTN
But all in vain,
Any comments or help much appreciated.
Details are:
Reports 6i (Clients/Server) on Windows platform
(Windows XP Professional with SP 2)
Database: Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.5.0
Computer:
Pentium(R) 4, CPU 3.00GHz, 1 GB of RAM
Still 20 GB free space

I don't see the point in making a report with more than 48,000 pages, I think Al Gore will not be happy when you start printing it...
The problem might be caused by the fact that Reports needs to format all output at once, and then even 1GB of memory will probably be not enough. Formatting all pages at once is needed if you use pagination with displaying total number of pages. If you have this, try to get that out of the report definition and try again.

All I can say to you (someone correct me if I'm wrong) is that Xtremegamer's doesn't decode DD/DTS via hardware with official drivers (altough they're capable of - all X-Fi are capable of decoding). XtremeMusic does the job with official drivers. I don't know the rest of the models. Someone adds [email protected]

Help needed to STOP xml loading

I'm pretty new to the action script side of things, have had some help on here already and have also been pulled up for asking for too much help.
Well I'm kind of getting the hang of it now, but am having one major problem with the site I'm making, basically I've been following a tutorial for an xml based website, just about got my head round it but I need one line of code to stop the xml movie clip playing when I load a new one (eg when you navigate to a new page.

In DBMS_JOBS_RUNNING you can find the sid of the session.
Use this sid to identify the session in v$session and kill the session with:
'alter system kill session 'sid,serial#';'
Don't forget to mark the job as broken or remove it from the job queue.
OR
Before 10g, if you want to stop all jobs, you can simply set JOB_QUEUE_PROCESSES to zero.
In 10g, Oracle intrduced scheduler_job with many advanced features.
In this post I do not want to deal with different features of scheduler_jobs.
In 10g, it is possible to schedule job either in dba_jobs or dba_scheduler_jobs.
Setting JOB_QUEUE_PROCESSES to zero stops only jobs in dba_jobs which means that jobs in scheduler are still running .
In order to disable jobs in dba_scheduler_job, the following script should be run for each job in scheduler.

Validates Zip code and Transportation Zone in LZONE against Zcustom table. If not found Zip code in the Zcustom table. need to raise Error message and stop to save.

The BAdI ADDRESS_UPDATE will not be of much help to you because neither method allows you to raise an exception or has some kind of "error message" flag.
However, I guess that the BAdI <b>ADDRESS_CHECK</b> is the one you should go for, in particular its method <b>ADDRESS_POSTAL_CHECK</b>. Errors in the address are obviously returned in CHANGING parameter CH_T_ERROR_TABLE.

Upload the images to the images folder and use the markup as you have been using in the following, changing the name of the image to suit.
