Much used, purchased version PS CS5 now refuses to start.

I'm getting the message"missing loc key" whenever I try to start up Photoshop CS5 extended 64bit. The 32bit works but everything is pretty slow. I've uninstalled/reinstalled 3 times, removed plugins , sacrificed a goat etc. I put it on a new, much better rig, but didn't unbox for a year, I solved the much dreaded "ATI AMD Radeon HD 5450" graphics card incompatibility BS, but somewhere along the line a now not so close friend attempted to install a bootleg of CS6 as a birthday present (any return favor notions most welcome). It never functioned as far as I could and see and I promptly uninstalled it, but since then, everything ain't right. I promise all the goat you can eat if you help me.

You don't know that the bootleg did. You could try using Adobe to wipe out their products then re-install CS5, If the does not work you may need to wipe your system. Format your disk and do a factory restore.

Incorrect. THe mac version of Premiere CS4 was a total disappointment, missing MANY basic features, AND basic exporting to QT AND
the VAST MAJORITY of transitions and filters which were offered on the PC, and laughable in comparison to FCP. SUre transitions are cheesy, but thanks Adobe for deciding what I want to use for me.
After Effects was about the only thing worth owning in Production Premium CS4 and while I do like that program a lot, Premiere was
a real disappointment and Encore was a total disaster, as in crashed constantly and burnt zero DVDs correctly. I'm so tired of the Adobe forums being a cover-up for their devs laziness but there are other places to trumpet the defects of Adobe. I would suggest the company offer CS5 as a FREE upgrade to those mac users that were DELIBERATELY cheated in CS4.

AP3 hanging, crashing and now refusing to start due to insufficient GPU???

After having spent two whole days rebuilding a face recog database and briefly got it working, AP3 now suddenly refuses to launch at all due to lack of GPU hardware:

This is yet another situation that effectively has rendered my newly purchased Aperture 3 useless so far.
Any fix for this last error message that suddenly appeared, and a fix for all the other problems in sight?

You might consider starting the entire library conversion and face detection over again but in 32bit mode until you get stable behaviour from Aperture. Then you can switch to 64bit mode as long as you are not using 32bit plugins like Photoshop and onOne as I do. That's forced me to stay in 32bit mode until Photoshop CS5 is released for the Mac. Everything working well in that regard now. When you run into a wall, might be faster to go around the wall (redo everything) than figure out a way through the wall.
I've posted other hints that Faces does not work at the Library level; appears to work at the project and album level. Naming faces is not as reliable as just using the CONFIRM FACES view within one of your faces and then clicking on a suggested face to CONFIRM or NOT as appropriate.

Like any other program - double-click the setup.exe on the DVD. You merely have disabled auto-play on your system.

CS 6 Design and Web premium individual programs (not in use for some time) are now launching as trial versions since the advent of Adobe Cloud. Windows platform. I am sure I am one of about a million people with this issue, but having trouble getting specific suppport, no telephone numbers and installing this suite of programs was a nightmare....appreciative of any help today!

The "serial number is not valid" link I have already explored and their wonderful solutions do not apply and their suggestion to reinstall my software is the ABSOLUTELY LAST THING THE WORLD I will ever do after my initial experience with the original post-antipiracy measures installation. I understand antipiracy actions, but Adobe's response is out of control and not working for those of us who have honestly purchased the software. I did not create this issue, Adobe did. They should provide a telephone number with a live body to fix this issue for those of us affected. BTW I have been trying to resolve this on my own for one week before I even posted in this forum. I have an Itouch and was very pleased with it. No problems with it. I recently updated it, but it will not let me update to version 7. Now I can no longer get access to the podcast apps. I suspect you have a 4G iPod. As Apple said in June, iOS 7 is not compatible with the 4G iPod.
All the iOS devices compatible (iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, and 5G iPod touch) with iOS 7 have at least 512 MB of memory (RAM). The 4G iPod only has 256 MB
To get the version copatible with the 4G:
App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.

If you have no photos:
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library' and start.

Did you purchased the Full Perpetual License from Adobe for $149.00?, if so then what has happened is that you probably downloaded the Creative Cloud trial version which has now expired.
The license key for the perpetual version will not be accepted to activate the CC version.
Uninstall the existing Lightroom and then download the one available from the link below. The uninstall process will not affect your Catalog, Preferences or personal files but will just remove the application. Install the new download and you license key will be accepted.

I assume that you will have to set up as new since it will not let you restore from the backup. Then after you set it up, you can restore from the iCloud backup. The backup should not disappear be use you are setting this device up as new. Your backup should still be in iCloud.
However, after you activate the iPd and update the software, you will have to erase the device in order to restore from the Cloud backup, that is the only way to get to the iCloud backup.

A new version of Firefox, which downloaded automatically, says Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that's refusing connections, even though I had access before the download.

I was using Firefox earlier in the day with no problem. About half an hour ago I tried to get on the Internet using Firefox (as always). When I did, I was greeted with a little dialog box showing that something was downloading. That's happened before.
This time, though, I was greeted by an error page that said Firefox was configured to use a proxy server that's refusing connections.
I'm not on a network. I have a desktop computer that connedts to a wireless modem that I share only with my wife. I didn't change my settings on either. Neither did my wife.
My "Connection Settings" box still says "use system proxy settings." There are no entries in the manual settings boxes.
I want to emphasize that I changed *nothing.*
I need to know, please, how I can set my computer to get back onto the Internet or, failing that, how I can go back to the previous version of Firefox.

You can find the connection settings in Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy"

iLife '09 is not available as a download - it is only available as a purchase
iLife '11 is available as a DVD purchase and the compoments of it are available from the App Store (iPhoto '11 (version 9.1.5), etc)
Exactly what did you do? And exactly what does the error message say?
On the surface it appears that you are attemptying to open a new library with an older version (iPhoto '09 can not open an iPhoto '11 library for example)
