Muliple Geometry Objects into a Single geometry

Hello,
Is it possible to store multiple geometry objects into one geometry. ie I am having an ARC and SHAPE geometry , I need to combine these geometries into one geometry .
So that the geomtry which I have created is a container for ARC and SHAPE.
Thanks in Advance
Senthil

Hi Senthil,
I am confused a little by your terminology, so I will try to answer as best I can.
A single geometry can be made from multiple elements.
The elements that make up the geometry can be all the same kind (points, lines, polygons).
The elements that make up the geometry can be heterogeneous (points and lines, lines and polygons, polygons and points, points lines and polygons). These are known as heterogeneous collections (sdo_gtype 2004 if 2 dimensional).

  • Concatenation of Data from 4 infoobjects into a single cell in Bex Report

    Hi,
I have loaded ODS with the description data. The source system for loading the ODS is the flat file. The ODS data should be a replica of the flat file.
In the flat file, there is a description field corresponding to a particular ID. This Description is greater than the standard 60 char length. So, I had to split the description while loading the flat file using single line routine in the Transfer Structure.
So, while loading different  the data, I split the description field data from the flat file into 4 infoobjects and the flat file data was loaded into the ODS.
Now, from the reporting point of view, I need to display the entire description data from the 4 info-objects into a single cell in the Bex report.
Please suggest a solution for this.

    Hi Vineet,
    Thanks for the response.
Could you please help me out with the VBA script(code) that needs to be written in the macro.
    Thanks in Advance.

  • Pasting multiple objects into frame

    Greetings everyone
I was wondering if someone could shed some light on how to best paste multiple objects into a single frame.
Mainly, I'm trying to nest objects that form a part of a newspaper article header; since it's a design element that keeps repeating with each single article I don't want to spend time with manually positioning the elements each time--it's time consuming and prone to sloppiness.
Unfortunately, the base frame will have about three objects that need to be nested within it. Once I paste one object into a frame, the next time I do `Paste into`--the content (previously pasted object in this case) just gets overridden.
I've read that, to paste multiple objects into a single frame, one should group the objects first. Now this works pretty well for getting them into the frame, but leaves me with no options to position them relative to the frame. I can't move or position an object individually and I have no option to ungroup them once they've been pasted.
Here's a small mock-up to depict my peculiar predicament:
Ideally, I'm aiming to have the main header frame to fit the content of the nested objects and for it to be flexible enough that I can quickly span it across multiple columns as per article requirements.

    !kRON wrote:
For items that are part of the group, their (X,Y) location coordinates are relative to the document--neither to the group nor the parent frame. The group itself has coordinates that are relative to the parent frame (X+ offset, Y+ offset). I can select the group and the parent frame and use the align to selection options. For individual items, I cannot make a selection of both them and the frame, only between items that are part of a group. I loose options to align an individual item relative to the parent frame, which means I have to drag them around and rely on smart guides.
I've tinkered around some more and it'd appear it's not possible to lay out the elements as I imagined. So I have to resort to grouping the items that would form a frame and pasting them into a frame. If multiple frames have to be members of a single frame I'd have to group the frames and paste them into the single frame and so on.
Based on my layout mock-up, I'd end up with 3 frames within the header frame:
    Article header
    Heading
    Article type
    Separator
    Article heading
    Title
    Footer
    Author
    Shape
Based on experience, should I go with this or stick with the old fashined moving around of loose elements? Will it be a lot of work to maintain resizing and repositioning of the various items and their frames once I start changing the width and height of the header frame or will it save me some time?
I'm not a working designer or production worker, so anything new takes me longer than I think it should, because I don't have a rich reservoir of quick methods at my fingertips.
Your description above interested me, because I've been wrestling with the annoying limitations of manipulating and adding compound objects in anchored frames. For many situations, it's probably simplest to assemble each iteration of a compound object, that introduces a new element, outside the anchored frame, then group the elements and paste the grouped object into the anchored frame.
However, the arrangement of elements in your example made me think that a table might be a workable solution. The answer I arrived at is "Yes, it's a solution, but it takes a while to set up." If it's reusable easily, then it might be worthwhile investing in a few experiments.
I've attached a zipped idml interchange version of the file, and also a PDF.
    Here are some notes:
    * I created a table with three rows and three columns, no header or footer rows. Three columns because I thought I'd paste a vertical line into an inline anchored frame in the center cell of the top row, for the separator line. Later, I realized that defining the vertical cell rule as paper color would suffice, so I merged the two right cells on the top row to create a two-column row, with text in each cell and the vertical separator between them.
    * I merged all three cells on the second row into a single cell.
    * I merged the two right cells on the bottom row, but later, when I moved the cell rule to position the triangular graphic in the inline anchored frame in the right cell, it moved the vertical cell rule in the first row. So, I had to unmerge (or split) the cells, and cut/paste the triangular graphic's anchored frame into the rightmost cell. To position the anchored frame, I moved the vertical cell rule with Shift+Drag, to keep the table width unchanged.
    * I sampled the purple color with the eyedropper tool while cells were selected and the swatch panel was set to fill the selected object.
    * I didn't spend much time matching the type, as you can see. To position the text, I adjusted the cell margins in some cases, and left/right indention in some cases; I'm not sure which is more efficient in situations where there will be different amounts of text to fit. I didn't create cell styles or paragraph styles (BAH! Bad, bad, bad process) because I won't be repeating this stuff, but you probably will benefit greatly from defining styles for your repeating needs.
    * The triangular cut into the bottom row made it easy to manage creating and positioning the graphic. A non-geometrical object might be trickier. The triangle is a text frame, set to negative space above, so it overlaps the cell above it, enough to avoid a black gap.
    * Except for the vertical paper-colored divider line, all the cells have zero-width strokes.
    * I created the table in a text frame, that I fitted down to the size of the table, but I can't remember if I selected, copied, and pasted the text frame into the text flow to anchor it, or if I selected the table in the text frame, copied and pasted it into the flow. Not sure if it makes a difference in work efficiency.
If I understand your general needs, this should work well for changing text and adjusting the column widths.
    HTH

  • OLM - Merging Multiple Learning Objects into One

Does anyone have experience or success merging multiple OLM learning objects into one? I think that we are supposed to be able to do this by exporting a content folder that contains all the learning objects that we want to merge into one CBT. The export works for me, and the learning object plays, but the content is not complete or combined. I noticed that the new content contains files called metadata(0).xml and metadata(1).xml representing the two learning objects that I tried to merge into one. I wonder if there's something I'm supposed to do with these files. Has anyone been successful in merging content?

Content can be combined into a course structure like:
    Course Learning Object
    -- Topic 1 learning object
    -- Topic 2 learning object
By creating a parent "course" learning object and moving the individual objects underneath it. The offering is then tied to that course learning object, so that when a user enrolls, in order to complete it the user navigates through both objects.
You cannot combine all the pages from separate objects into a single learning object as the pages themselves have no knowledge of each other.
    Does that make sense?

  • How to bridge (fill) gaps when converting a 2006 geometry  into a 2002 geometry

Is it at all possible to bridge (fill) gaps when converting a 2006 geometry into a single 2002 geometry. I have a solution for the conversion from 2006 to 2002 provided by BHall but upon further investigation investigation of my dataset some of the multi line polygons have gaps which I need to fill and I am not sure how to go about this.
Here is a simple example of what I am trying to achieve
    Before
    SELECT (sdo_geometry(2006, 81989, NULL,
                    mdsys.sdo_elem_info_array(1,2,1,5,2,1,9,2,1,13,2,1),
                    mdsys.sdo_ordinate_array(16,0.999,16.998,-0.001,17.253,-0.001,18.003,0.999,18.003,0.999,19.001,0.999,19.001,0.999,19.999,-0.001)))
      FROM dual
    After
    SELECT (sdo_geometry(2006, 81989,NULL,
                   mdsys.sdo_elem_info_array(1,2,1),
                   mdsys.sdo_ordinate_array(16,0.999,17.253,-0.001,18.003,0.999,19.001,0.999,19.999,-0.001))) FROM dual
    Thanks in advance

    Okay Roché,
You might need to break this problem down into smaller parts for the forum.  All your examples show the gap being replaced by a single vertice - e.g. you want to "snap" the gap together.  I'd suggest this is just complicating your question.  Once the gap is filled (with a line) then you can run SDO_UTIL.REMOVE_DUPLICATE_VERTICES afterwards to remove the new line if its below your tolerance.  I think that Bryan's code wrapped in remove duplicate vertices will solve your second scenario.  But overall I think it would be helpful to focus just on the filling and leave the snapping for a follow-up question.
So back to scenario #1, below is some code I wrote a while back that might do what you want or at least get you started.     Note that the input must be a multistring and the multistring cannot be "spaghetti".  In other words each line in the multistring must be disjoint or at most touch other lines only at endpoints. The goal is to sift through the lines and create a single linestring using the smallest gaps.  It's not subtle and will indeed produce bad geometries if the inputs are setup in an impossible manner.  There are also some rare geodetic bugs with SDO_GEOM.RELATE that crop up.  So you'll note I test both distance and relate in some places.  That's intentional though kind of dumb.
Hopefully this helps.  If you improve the code please shoot a copy back to me.
    Cheers,
    Paul

  • Geometry objects and Applets

    hello,
I'm writing a servlet which should pass a Geometry object to an applet. The problem is that the applet
getParameter method doesn't seem to work with Geometry objects. Can anyone suggest anything please ?
Here's the code I was using in the applet access the Geometry object:
    Geometry geom = (Geometry)getParameter("geomObject");
    Thanks in advance,
    Trish.

What do you mean by this "PO number should open in workbench"?
Do you want the PO transaction to open? Or what is this "workbench"?
If you want to display the PO, you can try the following:
    - Most likely you have the PO business object BUS2012 in the workflow container (check this in SWDD)
    - Bind this object from the WF container to the user decision step/task (into the "_Adhoc_Objects" container element)
-Now you will have the PO object as an attachment in the work item, and when you click it in business workplace, the purchasing document should open
-Please make sure to start new workflow after your changes, since your changes will not have an effect to the old WF instances.

  • How to include objects of a z* package into a single request

    Hi Gurus,
The requirement is I need to include all the objects in a z*package into one single request. One way is I find out latest version of each program and include it in request. But there are some 200 objects in the package. Is there any simple way to do it , I mean is there any option wherein I type the package name and all programs get included in the request..........
    Helpful answers will be rewarded
    Regards,
    Raghu.

    Please try this ..
    Goto SE09 ..
    Create a transport request ...
    Delete the sub-task ..
Now place cursor on main task(request)
    click on Include objects(Ctrl+F11)
In the popup check 'Freely selected objects' radio button .. click Ok
Enter the package name  ... and any other parameters .. and F8 ..
This will include all the objects in the particular package selected ..
    Then release the task ...

  • Multiple objects into single emitter-possible??

Is it possible to have multiple objects turned into a single emitter to set different ranges, life, scales, etc.? Specifically, I have about two dozen text words I'd like to be able to turn into a single emitter as opposed to doing a separate one for each...thanks for any help!

    Hi Rose
If you take a look at the error message, you will find a line there that starts with ORA-13200
    ORA-13200: Internal error RowID:AAANZE/AAFAAALFaAAP
This points to the ROW containing the geometry that triggers this error (described in the error message).
So if you could post the geometry of that specific row that might help. Use the following sql statement:
    Select geometry from YOUR_TABLE_NAME WHERE ROWID = 'AAANZE/AAFAAALFaAAP';

  • How to display results set of multiple reports into a single report table

Our goal is to create a single report (or dashboard) that shows the "funnel" of object creations related to each campaign. The flow goes from Activity to Lead to Opportunity as well as multiple steps within each (ie. Unqualified Lead -> Qualified Lead, etc).
We currently have 3 separate reports in three different subject areas, each reporting the different metrics and we would like to combine the output into a single Unified report.
For example what we currently have is:
    Activities:
    Campaign Name # of Activities
    Campaign A 12
    Campaign B 26
    Leads:
Campaign Name # of Leads # of Qualified Leads
    Campaign A 10 4
    Campaign B 20 18
    Opportunities:
Campaign Name # of Opportunities # of Opps per Sales Stage ... # of Wins Closed Revenue
    Campaign A 3 2 1 $1,000.00
    Campaign B 10 8 3 $2,800.00
What we want to see is:
    Combined:
Campaign Name - Campaign Cost - # of Activities - # of Leads - # of Qualified Leads - # of Opportunities - # of Opps per Sales Stage - # of Wins - Closed Revenue
    Campaign A - $423.00 - 12 - 10 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1 - $1,000.00
    Campaign B - $ 1,000.00 - 26 - 20 - 18 - 10 - 8 - 3 - $2,800.00
We have tried using the "Combine with similar analysis" but the number of columns for each subject area differ. We also tried creating multiple UNION criteria (one for each column), but in the case of # of Opps per Sales Stage and Closed Revenue, those are not "Metrics" fields, so they won't combine.

Hi, You may have to create some dummy fields to equate the no. of field in each of the report matching the data type too and get a one single report using combined analytics and then using the resultant data you can create a simple pivot like below. Haven't tried it before

  • How to copy Two universes into a Single universe

    Hi ,
I am working on SAP BO 3.1 Designer ,
I have three universes namely A,B& C which are pointing to same data base and with the same connection
now I would like to combine the universes
can u please suggest me on this..
I would like to have the components of Universe A & B. in universe C..
    Thanks In Advance..

    Hi,
I think, you are asking for the linking of multiple universes into a single universe and this is compatible with SAP BO 3.1 Designer
Steps to Link Multiple Universes to a Single Universe with same Database and Connection
    1. Create a Universe A (for instance) with proper parameters mentioning the Database and Valid Connections
    2. Go to File >> Parameters >> Links tab and then Click Add Link
    3. Then point the Universe B you wish to link
    4. Similarly add a link to the other Universe C and then export the the Universe after saving to the repository.
** These universes are dynamically linked to the universe and the Objects, classes will be made available.
    Thanks and Regards,

    Greetings,
I am developing a custom object where in i need to read PDF file from many different Spools(Range given on Input Screen), where each spool has a single PDF page in it. I need to combine all these PDF Pages into a single PDF file & either create a new Spool or save it on an Application Server.

  • Displaying data from multiple columns into a single line graph

    Post Author: hollowmatrix
    CA Forum: WebIntelligence Reporting
Hey,I have an issue with the WEBI reporting.I have a data source that has multiple columns say ( month1, month2, month3, month4,.....month 12, month 13, ....month24) with the sales data for each month. Now say I call the month 1 to month 12 as "current year", and call month 13 - month 24 as "previous year".I want to put a prompt in the report which allows  me to select between "current year" and "previous year".Based on the prompt value we get a graph of the sales vs month ....as in if we select  "current year", then we get a graph of the sales Vs time( remember that the sales data for each month is in a different column.)and if we select  "previous year" then we get a graph of the sales Vs time for previous year..( sales vs time for Month 13, month 14, month 15....month 24).I am not able to pull data from multiple columns into a single object that I can use to populate the graphs.Any help on the same will be appreciated .

  • Help needed -- Considerations to be taken while migrating 2 different SCCM 2007 hierarchies into a single SCCM 2012 Hierarchy.

Hi, I need your help on consolidating two different SCCM 2007 infrastructures into a single SCCM 2012.
We have two different SCCM 2007 Hierarchies, Lets say 123 and ABC
About 123 SCCM 2007 -- On 123 Hierarchy, we have already started migrating clients from SCCM 2007 to SCCM 2012.
About ABC SCCM 2007 -- On ABC Hierarchy, This is still running on SCCM 2007 (This hierarchy only be started migrating once                                      we
    are completed migration on 123)
Out of which, we have few co located offices across the globe for both 123 and ABC. Now we are decided to replace the hardware on all these locations by removing the existing two servers (one for 123 and other for ABC,with two different Forest and domains),
and consolidate them into a single server.how can we plan/design to ensure that we covering both hierarchies SCCM clients for the operations.
===================Below are some possibilities we are discussing on================================
1.Is there any way on "System management" in AD to enable access either in 123's domain or ABC's domain.
2.Since we are planning to replace the hardware with Server 2012 R2 with Hyper-V, Create two instances and migrate 123 hierarchy to SCCM 2012 and other instance will serve ABC until we start the migration on this.
    ========================================================================================
correct me, If i am in wrong direction. Please suggest me the best of doing it. Thanks in advance.
    srkr

    1) In CM 2012 you can publish data to System Management in other forest but you have to configure the permissions manually and create the forest object in the ConfigMgr console.
    2) CM07 and CM2012 instances can co-exist as long as you don't create boundary groups in CM12 for site assignment (that will cause overlapping boundaries if you still have boundaries in Cm07)
