Multi address phone book

The contact us section is not user friendly since mails are difficult to get submitted with filled in fields usually reverting back esp when using a smart.phone on the move.Exasperated I am.sending this feedback along with the query to forwarded to customer care as also a general email id and a 24x7 toll free and chargeable phone number with a sms number too will go a long way ubdermmibibg redressing customer queries and complaints
Currently I would be upgrading two of my LG phones which has a multi address phone book with multi fields like home number, office name and number, fax&email etc.Since I have more than 2000 numbers stored in the 500 phone entry LG due to the facility of multi address phone book, therefore I would like to know whether the upcoming Nokia asha 210&also the existing 302 has a multi address phone book which I have shortlisted for immediate buying to avail the ease of a qwerty one though I am also using a Samsung galaxy ace.Besides whether both the 210&302 is having a call recording feature which would be highly beneficial in my practise as one has to retrieve info from patients for medical analysis etc.A flash in both 210&302 is essential too for the stylish models to become complete and comprehensive which only can help beat the competition and therefore please also forward this to the Nokia R&D section

Yes, however, the Nokia Suite does not work with the Nokia Asha 210. This makes it difficult to transfer so many contacts. Furthermore, there is a limit at 1000 entries. The Nokia Asha 302 is fine as it works with the Nokia Suite and should support 2000 entries.
However, do not nail me on that, I am just an end-consumer like you. Series 40 UMTS supports 2000 entries, that is my rule of thumb. Anyway, 2000 is the absolute maximum. So you might hit another problem.

Yes, hidden behind the Option key.

  • Transfer of Existing Phone Book

Usually when the sim card is transferred over to a new phone all the phone book info stays intact. I transferred my sim card from my existing AT&T account phone to my new IPhone but the names and numbers from my phone book do not show up. Can anyone explain why this is, I do not have that information on my computer.
    Angel

So I take it I then will have to manually input all of those 100 plus names ans phone# again??? Wow...bummer!
Why not enter all your phone numbers / contacts into your computers address book / contacts and then sync it to your iphone. That way you have them saved on your computer for future needs and the syncing process will bring them all over to the phone.
    Contacts
Since iPhone takes contact information from existing applications on your computer, Apple recommends using Address Book, Entourage, Outlook, Outlook Express, or Yahoo! Address Book to prepare your contacts for automatic synchronization with iPhone, and suggests you get phone numbers and e-mail addresses up to date. Notes that you can also enter contact information directly into iPhone, as well.

  • Phone book doesn't copy correctly to car kit

Pl help. I have just bought a new 8310 and can't get the address book details to copy over into the memory of the integrated telephone kit in my Freelander. Landrover technical support tells me that the Blackberry is fully compatable with the Freelander however when I try to search the phone book in the car as transfered onto it from the Blackberry all I can see is a list of the telephone numbers transfered over without the names they relate too. I have an 8520 as well but it had no problem pairing and transfering the phone book, complete with names and numbers to the car kit.
Has anyone come up against this problem before: Please help it's driving me mad

It's definitely loading the mobile version. select everything on the page to check that you haven't left any objects on the right hand side of the page, or that any widgets' bounding areas haven't expanded out too far - this often happens when you move components around.

  • Printed Phone Book

Our President still likes to have a printed copy of our customer contacts, addresses and  phone numbers.  Without printing an excel spreadsheet or creating a Crystal Report does anyone have some ideas?  We used to maintain an ACT database that would print a decent looking phone book but we've stopped maintaining it. Thanks

    Hi Rebecca
Create a query in SAP Business One, save it in a Query Manager Category and close. Then go to the query manager, expand the category, select the query and click on Create Report. Choose the Base Template and select OK. Now you can go to Tools > Queries > Query Print Layout and double click on the name of the report to edit the layout. This is the standard PLD and will allow you to add borders, change fonts, etc. to make it look nice. To print the report, go to Tools > Queries > Query Print Layout and click only once on the name of the report, then select Print or Print Preview.

  • How do i copy an existing tel# from my phone book ...

    hi there,
by now i am pretty frustrated. i am coming from a nokia 6280 which made it simple to include an existing object (tel#, note, calender event, you name it) into an sms, mms or email. my n95 does not do a thing like that. i could include a template but when i like to embed an email address or any number or given text i fail. even if i use the copy function the n95 announces that that number was copied into its memory but when i like to paste what supposedly is copied nothing appears.
and yes i know that i could send a visiting card but that exactely is not what i intend to do, i want to paste at least names or numbers from my phone book into an sms or a an email or an mms!
uff, i thought technical advances would make one happy, but my step from the 6280 to the n95 seems more a step back into the dark ages at least in the area i described above.
any ideas or am i simply even more stupid then i thought to be
    cheers jochen

  • Digital voice- phone book has disappeared!

I just had DV activated yesterday.  I was trying to find a way to transfer the names and numbers from my Call Assistant phone book over to the DV page, but gave up and entered them all manually (there were not all that many).  When I finished, everything I had entered in the new phone book had disappeared.  They are still there, in a way, becuase if I go to "make a call", it will still come up, but not in the regular address book form.  Has anybody else had this happen? Any answers?

So volume is on. Start Maps, and click on the spanner icon>Navigation>Drive guidance, note which voice file is selected. Now click Drive guidance, scroll down to the selected voice and make sure there is a small phone icon next to it to the left. If you don't see the icon, select another voice file with the icon.
Do the same but for Walk Guidance if the walk guidance is silent.

  • Phone book not saving entries

i recently got my blackberry pearl and im having some problems with it
i go to my address book and its saying 'no addresses' so i put on in it and saved but when i go back to the address book it still says 'no addresses' so then i found out how to switch to sim card phone book and copy them to phonebook from there and it says it was doing it but then when i went back to phone book it still says 'no addresses'
how can i move my contacts from my sim to my adresses book without having to go in and find them in my sim card?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You can do them all at one time, by accessing your SIM card at Address Book > Menu > SIM Phone Book > Copy all .
Then after, back in the address book, make sure at Address Book > Menu > Filters, that NO filters are checked.

  • Calling Cell phone own Phone book in our application (URGENT)

    Hi there,
I want to call cell orignal phone book in my application, can any body let me know how it is possible. Looking forward for answer.
    Best Regards,
    Shani.

correct, though there is one other way to do it. its not as nice as JSR-75, and you don't have any programming options with it, but a TextField if set to input type PHONENUMBER or EMAIL can actually give the user an option to look up the phone # or email from their address book. this can be done without JSR-75, its just a MIDP option

Problem solved. Finder > Library > Preferences. There were three files: com.apple.something or another and address book.something.. (I can't remember).
Please realize that is only slightly more helpful than it started with a letter in the alphabet and ends in plist. Almost everything in that folder starts with com.apple. That is the default naming convention. It is a reverse domain name system (think reverse web address). So all Apple's preferences start with com.apple.
For anyone trying to fix a similar problem, please don't randomly delete plist files. While most will cause no harm and will get rebuilt automatically, deleting some will cause a little shock and awe. com.apple.mail.plist being the most shocking. If you delete it, you will not see your email in Mail until you recreate your accounts exactly as you had them before you deleted the plist. The email is still there, it is just that Mail doesn't know how to find them.

  • Pearl 8110 can't copy phone book in SIM to phone

For some reason I can not copy the contents of my SIM phone book to the "Contacts" phone book. I go through the steps listed and it looks like the contents are being coppied but when I go to the Contacts list it shows no contents. I do not know if I did something wrong or the firm ware has gone south. I have taken the battery out and then replaced it trying to restore it to factory setting but that did not seem to work. I am running V4.5.0.182
    I hope someone can help.

Hi John1942 and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums!
Its possible you may have a Filter set in your BlackBerry® smartphone's Address Book.  From the Address Book, press the menu key and choose Filter.  If there are any boxes checked, remove the check mark then check the Address Book again.
    Thanks.

  • IPhone entry in phone book lost in sync

When I sync up my iPhone with my Windows Vista machine all my contacts transfer successfully but for the people who have IPhones in my phone book, their numbers are lost. That is, I have selected the special "IPhone" entry instead of just mobile next to their name. Their names show up in my Windows Contacts but that mobile number is not present. Is there a way to map that to the mobile entry in Windows contacts? Also, what is the IPhone entry buying me in the IPhone contacts? Is it just a reminder that my friends have IPhones too or what?

I'm not sure about how to map this with the iPhone - not with a supported address book application on a PC. I added the iPhone designation to the contacts in my iPhone's address book who have an iPhone, and it was transferred to the Address Book on my Mac after syncing without having to map anything or do anything special, and there is no default iPhone designation in the Address Book for a phone number entry.
I don't believe the iPhone designation for a phone number buys you anything special.

  • Contacts issues - send contacts to at&t phone book or sim card? and un able to unsync email contact list with phone contact list

I have had several issues with my contacts on this phone. I cannot figure out how to send my contacts to the at&t phone book or to my sim card. The options/menu button in contacts is completely useless. It should give me the option on the sim card to transfer contacts form one list to another. I have already written on another forum about the contact list not letting me unsync one of my email contact lists and how I have 3 copies of all of my contacts because my email contacts are mixed in with my phone contacts.
BB really needs to fix this issue with the contact list because it is beyond frustrating. I even downloaded the new BB software today and it still hasn't been fixed.

OK...so this post is strictly about wanting to send your contacts to the SIM. That capability is one at a time only. And there's a reason for that.
The BB Address Book is robust, allowing you to have one name with multiple phone numbers and addresses. The SIM phonebook, on the other hand, is much less capable...if, for instance, you have one contact with three phone numbers in your BB Address Book, the SIM phonebook would require three separate entries to contain the same data (with the obvious duplication of the name on three separate records).
So, I must ask...why on earth do you want to send your contacts to your SIM? There are much better methods for moving your contacts from the BB to somewhere else...

  • Iphone phone book index

Hi, I'm using iphone 3G with Chinese Language support. I found that the phone book index show both number and alphabetic character e.g. 1.5.8....A.N.X.# after I upgraded to fireware 2.2. Any one can tell me what happen and how can I change back to alphabetic index (A.B.C.D....X.Y.Z)?
    Thx!

    Yvraz,
While users have been saying that the iPhone does not support "transfer of data" via bluetooth, that statement is only partially correct. While the iPhone does not support transfer of files (i.e. photos, songs, etc) it can "send" your address book via bluetooth.
Any car that has bluetooth capability (with supported profiles that work with the iPhone), and has the PBAP (Phone Book Access Profile) Bluetooth Profile, is capable of transferring your contact list via bluetooth.
That being said, only your vehicle manufacturer would be able to tell you if your car is equipped with a bluetooth system that supports the PBAP profile.
On the iPhone side, this PBAP profile is only guaranteed to work if you have the most recent OS on the iPhone per http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3647 .
One thing that I was able to do with my Mercedes (which would not allow the entire Address Book to come through) is as follows:
    1) Remove the pairing record from the iPhone in Settings > General > Bluetooth. Tap on the device and forget it.
    2) Remove any and all pairing records from the Vehicle in which you will be using your iPhone with. (Check your vehicles manual to address this)
    3) Reset the NETWORK SETTINGS of the iPhone in Settings > General > Reset.
    4) Repair the iPhone with your vehicle according to the user's manual. Follow the steps exactly as written and let us know the end result.

  • PHONE BOOK CONTACTS DISPLAY ON TMS

    I have TMS 14.3.1 running.
I go into Manage Phone books and select a system then select the View Contacts Tab it lists my contacts but doesn't show the column listing the Address (Alias/IP) numbers????
I see the Address column but doesn't list the numbers ...
Now is the MXP phone book the field is "number" and not "address" but that is where the IP or alias number would go ... ???
Same with the Ex or C codec???
Any ideas to get the number to show other than add it along with the system name ie see my attached screen shot of the TMS list.
    Thanks...

Nope - have to do them one at the time - and again the next time you refresh that page. Guess you could contact your tame Cisco rep and submit a feature request. :)
