Multi-Edit Element Typ
Hi,
I am using Multi-Edit kind of list (MEDL) in Detail Area 1. It puts a check box and also Select All/None etc. buttons.
My requirement is to show all the checkboxes selected, for the first time. How do I control the check selection for the first display. Else, Is there a way I could suppress this checkbox, that way I could use my checkbox for my purpose.
Any information in this regard will be helpful.

At the risk of looking thick, I had no idea what open or gang was, but for the benefit of those lost souls that follow me, this is what i did i opened help searched gang and found the how to change settings open gang or synch off i have found that synch off seems to have solved the problem the time line now cuts.< </div>
You're not thick at all, you just jumped into a super-advanced feature of FC without knowing how the application works at its more basic levels. We see that often around here.
There's at least one thing about FCP's interface that makes all of us nuts.

I want to change a cost element type "4" to "1". But SAP does not allow it because the plan data on the cost element.

I'm afraid if dependent data (actual and/or planning data) exist for cost element for the fiscal year, then there is no way to change the category type until the next fiscal year. This is to prevent inconsistency in the data for a given fiscal year. When posting the first transaction data (plan or actual posting), a year dependent entry is created in a control table for the cost element. You can only change the category if NO transaction data exist for the relevant year or if all the transaction data for this cost element/year
is deleted.
An option is to create a new analysis period (KA02 -> Basic Screen -> Edit -> Analysis Period) and specify the new cost element category. The new analysis period can only be specified in yearly intervals.

I used SP4 to deploy the portal and got the Exception included at the end
of this message.

It is necessary to provide the Search of a case from the Record (not from the Electronic desk (scaseps)). So I attached the element type Case Locator to my record model. But there are some problems. I see only the place holder of the element and only if the record is opened in the change mode. I tried to attach it as an instance, but the element has no POID. If You had the same problem and know, how to do it, please help me. Thanks.

Aber da gibt es Schwierigkeiten: der Element ist lehr, d.h. man kann ihn ausnützen und sehen nur wenn der Case für Veränderung geöffnet ist und ich kann ihn nicht wie eine Instance anknüpfen (das ist eigentlich verständlich, weil der Elenemt keinen POID hat). Falls Sie so was schon gemacht haben, raten Sie mir bitte, wie es richtig gemacht wird. Danke.

В регистре есть сервис провайдер Case locator. Возникла необходимость реализовать поиск случая, из записи, а не из рабоченго стола. Решила к модели записи присоединить вид элемента Case Locatоr, но возникли нюансы: Вид элемента присваевается как пустой (place holder), виден и работает только при отрытии записи в режиме "изменение". Присоединить его как инстанцию не получилось (оно и понятно, отсутствует POID). Коллеги, если вы работали с этим видом элемента, сталкивались с подобыми задачами и нашли из них выход - подскажите пожалуйста.

Element type attributes doesn't accept HTML escape codes in 10.1.4
In 9.0.4 we often used HTML escape codes in attribute values for element types when we needed to use special characters, for instance using « becomes « and so on.
In 10.1.4 however, this doesn't seem to work any longer. For instance « becomes
&laquo; which of course looks like garbage when you use the element type on a page. Anyone found a workaround to this ?The workaround I've been using is running
ttyctl -f
as early as possible in my zshrc.
stty will be non-functional while ttyctl is freezing the terminal settings but in my case, since I'd never even heard of that command prior to my searches in finding a fix, I can't say it really bothers me. At least I can run yaourt now without having my terminal messed up. If you do use stty often, here's a function that'll unfreeze the terminal settings first.

Getting error while creating the variable of Schema Element type
Hi everybody,
For creating a variable of schema element type I am doing the following steps...
Select 'Variables' after right clicking on bpel process. IN this window, go to 'Create VAriable' then select 'Element' type. Now in Type Choose, I expanded the my imported schema files. And selected a element type, then click ok to create this variable... I am getting the message...
IN ORDER TO SAVE IMPORTED WSDL/SCHEMA FILES, YOU MUST HAVE A PARTNER LINK LOCATED UNDER THE CURRENT PROJECT DIRECTORY.
What is mean by that.
I have imported the schema files in project. AFter that I have imported them into the WSDL also. Now why I am getting error while creating the variable. However I can create variable directly in .BPEL file then everything is fine. And it is working also. But what is mean with the above error? Why I am not able to create variable through GUI?

The idea is that the jdeveloper is not very good working with directories with spaces on the directory name. If you move all your work to a directory without spaces, it will work smoothly. At least, it had worked for me.

I am facing error while running Quickpay in Fusion payroll that "The input value Periodicity is missing for element type KGOC_Unpaid_Absence_Amount. Enter a valid input value". Any idea?
This is most probably because the Periodicity input value has been configured as "Required" and no value has been input for it.
Please enter a value and try to re-run Quick Pay. -
I am getting the following error message when I try invoking
a webservice.

The problem is, the webservice is working fine, the
application was working yesterday, the error message just appears
after a couple of days and I have to refresh the service in the CF
Administrator. Once I refresh it, everything starts working again.

said, everything works for a couple of days, then, out of the blue,
it stops working so I doubt that it's my CFINVOKE that's the
problem...Similar kind of problems here - reported back to Adobe a
couple of months ago, so let's wait and hope for the best. My
problems have related to registering multiple web services and
executing them. One problem is that, If I register two identical
(and quite complex) web services, I can only execute either of
them. After CF restart, either of them works, but invoking the
other doesn't work.
For example; CF_Restart -> Try A first, A works -> B
doesn't. Also, CF_Restart -> Try B first, B works -> A
doesn't.

Non-editable element in an InDesign document.
Hello, all.
I need to add a non editable element to my InDesign document. This element will be my copyright notice. Although I will be sharing this InDesign document with others and will allow them to modify or customize it to their needs I wish to make my copyright notice non-editable so users will not have the option to remove the notice.
Is there a way to make an element non-editable in an InDesign document so users can modify anything they want but that one element ?

My gut feeling here - not meaning to be offensive - is that you probably have no idea how hard or easy it is to lock something down. I am no developer, but I spend enough time working with devs to have a vague idea how hard it is to make something like what you're describing. And Bob is right about, defeating Acrobat security is trivial.
It is not difficult but impossible to do what you ask for. All you can do is make it difficult to remove your copyright statement, and that difficulty varies according to the technical skills of the person(s) who wish to remove your copyright statement.. In your shoes, I'd just make it annoying to remove, and that would probably defeat 95% of the casual thieves who would file off the serial numbers and call your work their own. Heck, just locking it would defeat more than half of the casual uncredited reuse, if the frequency of posts here is to be believed. Put it behind a locked transparent frame on a locked layer and you've made it more difficult.
I think that there may well be an untapped market for the feature you are describing, Joe - but if I were once again in your shoes, I'd be pitching it wherever Framemaker users hang out. -

So I've have built an application on flash builder 4.5 using Christophe Coenraets' tutorial "Building an EmployeeDirectory" (http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flex/articles/employee-directory-android-flex.html#articlecont entAdobe_numberedheader).
I'm getting this error message "In initializer for 'mxmlContent', type Object is not assignable to target Array element type mx.core.IVisualElement." and then the debugger highlights my code this line of my code "</s:List>" in my EmployeeDetails.mxml file. This started after I coded Part 5, Step 2 "Integrating with the Device Capabilities: Triggering the Actions". The rest of the code debugged fine.
I think it relates to Christophe's note "Note: Make sure you import spark.events.IndexChangeEvent (and not mx.events.IndexChangedEvent) for this code to compile.". I don't know where to place this
" import spark.events.IndexChangeEvent;" line of code.
Any help? Tks in advance..

Color correcting multi edit clips
I need some help. I would like to do the color correcting on 3 clips that will be used in a multi edit. The way I have been color correcting the footage is to just drag the whole clip on the timeline and do the color correcting before I do any editing and cutting of the clip. Is there a way I can do the same thing with multi cam clips? Once they are on the timeline, the corrections are made on the timeline, but the original clips don't change?

-Duplicate your clip in the browser (option-d)
-Dbl-click the new clip (will load it in viewer)
-Apply Color Correction (this will affect the clip as it resides in your browser, leaving the original master clip untouched)
-lather/rinse/repeat for all clips to be used in multiclip
-create your multi-clip and edit away
Can I also do this with clips on the timeline
There are procedures for this within a multiclip environment, but I'm not remembering them well enough and no longer have access to a multiclip system for review and assistance. Check your manual..I remember this part frankly being a little convoluted, so a search of this forum or the other previously posted links should help.

Cost Element Type change with balance in it

I have a P &L account created in FS00 maintained as cost element of type 1 , and now we want to change it as type 12 sales and Deductions Cost element, so when I try to change in FS00 it didn't allow me to do so as it is having some balance, so
What can I do now ?
How can I change that cost element type from 1 to 12 ?
How can I clear the balance that is that account now ?
and where can I see what balance is in that Cost element?

But When I try to change the CE category in FS00 it is saying the transactional data exists Message KS134 ,
where can I see the actual dollar amount sitting in that Cost Element?
and
If I don't know how much in that CE how can I transfer the amount from this CE to another CE?

My client needs to use the Document Collaboration with In-Place Editing Activity Type.
He currently uses the Microsoft Office 2000 but unfortunately this version triggers an error.
what are Microsoft Office versions that support this functionality?
Would you please proveide me an official list to give to him?
I could only find the following passage of the NPD pdf documentation:
"...Note that Office 2007 extensions are not supported with NPD
in-place editing...

Daniele DomenicucciI would actually be curious to know what version most customers are using. 2000 is now 4 releases behind the current, and soon to be 5.
Although I think Office 2000 should technically work, it was also the first release with a built-in webDAV client, there might be some additional configuration to get it to work. maybe some digging on the microsoft support site regarding webdav and Office 2000. But, I also think it's a question of support b/w Office and WebDAV; not Office and PLM4P.
Instead, I would recommend using a newer release of Office to avoid this issue, altogether.
