Multi gesture for browsers different from safari, for example right to left scroll to previous page. How to set it like in Snow Leopard?

THe only gesture to change tabs is to tap the tab in the address bar. You can go back a page in a website by holding one finger on the left side of the screen and swiping right. You can go back to a previous app by placing four fingers on the right side of the screen and swiping left.

Safari renders page differently from Safari Mac.

I tried to see some web cartoon with my iPad, and I found he image width is shrunk so it's not good to see cartoon.
I tried to zoom the page but the image displayed as low-res image with pixel doubling.
If I try same page with Safari for Mac, image looks fine.
Also if I save image from my iPad and see it with Photo app, it also has high-res quality.
I found same problem for two different web cartoon sites.

Possible For Address Link From Safari To Open In Maps?

The iPhone recognizes phone numbers and dates from Safari and will dial a number or launch Calendar if clicked. Shouldn't it recognize addresses and launch Maps if clicked? This would be especially helpful from Safari, where now I have to copy the address from Safari, launch Maps and paste it there. I want to think it did it when Google Maps was the standard maps app. Just a thought.

I looked into this. From what I read, I don't think this is
supposed to work from compiled help. It can work from WebHelp. What
you are looking for is a "named destination" in Acrobat, not a
"bookmark." Apparently these are two separate things, but the named
destination is accessed like an HTML bookmark, e.g. <A
HREF="filename.pdf#destination>. You can also use a page number,
e.g. <A HREF="filename.pdf#page=4">

I have a mid 2012 Macbook Air and I want to be able to stream what I am watching on Safari (youtube, dishanywhere, amazon instant video, etc) on my tv via my macbook. Will the Rocketfish thunderbolt to HDMI adaptor do the trick or will I need Apple TV to do this?

Firefox spacing looks different from Safari and Chrome

The vertical spacing in the title layer is fine relative to the large image in Safari and Chrome but it's crowds the image in Firefox. Can someone tell me how to fix it? I want to retain the swapping feature of the image which is not in a layer.

Looks the same to me in FF 15.1 & current Chrome on Windows.
You have quite a few coding errors that should be fixed. Errors can compound display issues in some browsers.

When I updated to Lion the multi touch gesture to scroll back to the previous selection won't work anymore. Any help or did apple just not fix this yet?

Process for deploying different from redeploying?

In the OC4J "Containers for J2EE" manual, in chapter 3, section "What Happens when you Deploy?", there is a "Note" that mentions if you deploy an EAR that is already deployed, then:
"the new deployment renames the EAR file prepended with an underscore. It does not copy over the EAR file. Instead, you can copy over the EAR file. OC4J notices the change in the timestamp and redeploys."
So does this mean that if you just want to deploy a new version of the application, you always have to undeploy beforehand? Do you have to check whether it is already deployed before you undeploy, or is it harmless to undeploy an application which is not deployed?

I can tell you how I deploy new versions of my applications. I'm not
saying it's the only way (and possibly not the best way), but it works
for me, and I'm satisfied with it (so far :-).
I am running stand-alone version 9.0.2.0.0 of OC4J on a SUN computer
with Solaris 7, and JDK 1.3.1
I always "undeploy" an application before deploying a new version of
that application. Undeploying involves the following steps:
(Note: Assume that the "name" of the application is "myApp" and I have
created a deployment file called "myApp.ear".)
1. Delete the "myApp.ear" file from directory
$OC4J_HOME/applications
where "$OC4J_HOME" is the root installation directory. On my SUN
computer, for example, this is
/home/aabrami/OC4J/j2ee/home
2. Delete the entire application subdirectory. Using my example,
the application subdirectory is:
$OC4J_HOME/applications/myApp
3. Delete the entire application subdirectory from the "application-deployments"
subdirectory. Again, using the above example, this is:
$OC4J_HOME/application-deployments/myApp
4. Remove the appropriate "application" element from the "server.xml"
file. That file is located in directory:
$OC4J_HOME/config
and the appropriate entry would look something like:
<application name="myApp" path="../applications/myApp.ear" auto-start="true" />
And that's it! Of-course, I have written a UNIX shell script that
does all this for me. The script file name is "clean". So basically,
in order to undeploy my application, I simply type the command:
clean
Again, I don't know how relevant the above is for your situation
(which you haven't told us much about ;-) but, hopefully, you will
get some use from it.

You are correct. There are different versions for Mac OS and iOS. You 'need' to buy it on your iPad if you have a requirement to open Numbers format files which you obviously do.

Yes, this is called an alternate upgrade. The contract on your husband's line will be extended, you can use the phone on your son's number (just tell the rep what you want to do when you make the purchase).

Art for album different from songs art

Windows 7, iTunes 11.4. I'm looking at the "show album art" view. It's showing the wrong album art for an album, but when I right click on a song and click "get info", that window shows the right art. Hitting next for each next song shows the right art. The album as a whole has the wrong art. How do I fix this?

Firefox renders differently from Safari

I have a little html code that produces two similar paragraphs. The only structural difference in the two paragraphs is
a line-end appears in the second paragraph between the two /font tags.
I expected the line-end to be treated as white space and ignored. It is ignored in Safari Version 5.0.2 (6533.18.5), but it is not ignored in Firefox (Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2.12) Gecko/20101026 Firefox/3.6.12).
When rendered in Firefox, the second line in the second paragraph appears just a little bit lower below its first line than in the first paragraph.
Here's the html (How can I get it not to render?):

How to delete websites, usernames, and passwords from safari preferences

ok, selected safari menu, preferences and passwords. took me to a list that showed website, username and password. i selected a website/username/password that i would like to delete. at the bottom it shows "remove all" or "remove". btw, when i selected the website/username/password, it became highlighted. anyway, when i selected remove, the highlight disappeared but the website/username/password remained in the list.
is there a way to delete the website/username/passwords that i choose?

That seems to have done the trick.
I simply deleted them in Keychain and the seem to have gone from Safari Pref's.
Quite why they didn't take no for an answer from Safari I don't quite understand, but matters not.

Is there any possibility that apple would offer update program that supports new multi gesture for old mac book air?

Firefox(20.0.1) is ignoring my proxy server for google searches from website and the search box. It works for all other search engines and chrome/safari.

squid (port 3128) and dansguardian (port 8080) not running in transparent mode.
I am applying blacklists and a custom url regex to apply "safe=vss", this works for all browsers and all search engines except firefox using google search engine.
Search engines tested (bing, yahoo, norton, ask, amazon, avg, ebay) - all work.
Links from the search results are blocked by content filter, but search results still appear and google images are still shown. This does not happen in Chrome(23.0.1271.97), IE9(9.0.8), Opera(12.14) or Safari(5.1.7) with the same settings.
No log entry appears in Dansguardian access.log implying proxy settings are being ignored for just this combination.

I can't think of a reason that one particular webpage would behave differently from all the others, i.e., if you are starting at google.com and running a search using the form in the page, I'm not aware of any reason for Firefox to handle that specially just because it's Google.
Does it make a difference if you disable JavaScript when using Google? If that yields the results you expect, perhaps Google's XMLHttpRequest AJAX traffic is bypassing your filters?
The search bar has its own code, so someone would need to look at that to see whether/why it bypasses your proxy if the above hypothesis does not apply.
