Multi-Gesture MIA in Finder

Eager to get the latest version of Safari I was prompted to download a ton of updates. It took nearly an hour and a few reboots but eventually I met all the requirements to install the Safari 4 beta.
Ever since then I can no longer pinch & pull in either Icon or Cover Flow view within Finder. Thankfully pinch & pull gestures still work with Quick Look and Preview but it's now missing from Finder. Doesn't help that pinch & pull doesn't react the same way as it did in the previous version, but I'm hoping they'll address that once it's out of beta mode.
Not having this feature isn't a huge deal but I don't understand why it was taken away.

What you have is what you get. That hardware cannot be altered on a MBP.

Notebook G500s - Touchpad multi-gestures not working

Hi,
Ever since installing Windows 8.1 the multi gestures on my touchpad stopped working (i.e. scrolling with two fingers, swiping for the charms to appear etc.). I have the most recent driver from the Lenovo site installed. Whenever I go to Control Panel > Devices > Mouse > Elan Tab; the 'options' button is grayed out. (I used to be able to modify the multi gestures there.) I think this is a driver issue but I can't find a more recent driver.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The only other thing I can think of is to uninstall the Windows 8.1 driver, reboot the computer and then install the Windows 8 driver. If you get any error messages about using the older driver then try using Compatibility Mode for the installation.

Macbook Air 11'' (mid 2013) My display isn't running as smooth as it was before, especially when using multi-gesture commands

Hello, the major issue is that when I use a multi-gesture command like 2 finger swipe to check out my notifications or when I use 4 finger swipe to switch between apps, the edges of the app or window kind of get cut. Ignore the ghost effect in the picture. That's just because of the camera. Anyway, so you see that some widgets and the window on the right are like cut. Also when I do 4 finger swipe up or down, the windows don't move smooth at all. It looks more like a horribly done stop motion movie. An other thing is that when I hover over the dock, the magnifying effect vibrates for an instant before it fully magnifies and also when I'm hovering away it vibrates before it returns to its normal size. Also when I move the cursor quickly from one side to an other within the dock, sometimes the dock also gets cut. I started to notice these issues a little while after the update for issues with WiFi and Photoshop, maybe it has something to do with that. Any help is welcome.

Multi gestures not working on iPad Air ios8 onwards. Turning gestures off then on works briefly. It's annoying. Is the Air bust? In for rep-air?

MMine has not been working ever since ios8 update. Apple blamed a game I have on the iPad, however this problem occurs on all apps including apple own brand.

Multi gesture for browsers different from safari, for example right to left scroll to previous page. How to set it like in Snow Leopard?

THe only gesture to change tabs is to tap the tab in the address bar. You can go back a page in a website by holding one finger on the left side of the screen and swiping right. You can go back to a previous app by placing four fingers on the right side of the screen and swiping left.

I have got the Macbook Pro Retina 13 (Late 2013 Model), & I have installed Windows 8.1 on it using Bootcamp.
The options at the bootcamp are not very smooth & the dragging option is very laggy & not working smoothly, & I was wondering if Apple will release a Multi Gesture Trackpad Driver that works as the native Mac OS Trackpad with all the multitouch support & features or it's never going to be released?

How to prevent the multi gesture screen change

Is there a way to prevent the multi gesture app switching function. My daughter uses her new ipad for therapy but everytime i put on a app for her she figures out a way to switch it to something else. She is not able to see anything but light and she has her vision apps on there but its not use if she keeps switiching it to other things.

You can turn off multi-tasking gestures via Settings > General > Multitasking Gestures 'off'.
There is a new Guided Access accessibility in iOS 6 - from here :

Remove new multi gesture button from desktop

I have a white multi gesture navigation button on my desktop. I hate it. How do I turn it off, make it go away? I can move it around but not remove it. It just showed up after the last update. It's typical of what I hate most about apple products. Instead of the computer working the way "I" want it to, it forces you to do things the way "Apple" wants you to do it.
I'm back to wanting to throw it against the wall.

If you see this icon in the lower right corner of your device's screen, AssistiveTouch has been enabled.
Go to Settings>General>Accessibility and turn off Assistive Touch. And stop being so paranoid. No one is forcing you to do things the way "Apple" wants you to....

Multi gesture and tap-to-click stopped working on Logitech touchpad

I have a Logitech TK820 that has been working great until I did a upgrade for about one week ago. Now multi gesture stopped working completely and also tap-to-click doesnt work.
Does anyone have any clue on what I can do to get it working again.

thanks for your reply. i haven't had time to deal with this issue since i wrote about it in october.
i found the 'properties' window for the touchpad mouse but there is no reset button. i continue to have this issue and it is becoming more frequent although i have not been able to identify what triggers the sudden shut down of the tap-to-click function.
but something new has cropped up: when the tap-to-click stops working, the next time i tap the touchpad, the pointer goes to the Start button! this happens every time. i don't know that anything is different?
any further pointers (forgive the pun) would be most welcome!

Lion upgrade on my MacBook. No multi gestures, what gives?

I just upgraded from snow leopard to Lion on my macbook because I thought multi gestures similar to my ipad would be cool. I don't see any of these features after the upgrade here on safari. What gives? I feel ripped off. Something I'm not doing? And if so why don't they tell us before we spend $30 bucks?

Sorry to be pedantic but it depends on the age of the MBP not necessarily the split trackpad.
My 15" MacBook Pro ~ Feb > Oct 2008 2.4 GHz Intel Core Duo, pre Unibody with a split trackpad supports all the swipe gestures on Snow Leopard never mind Lion..

IPad Mini Freezes when close an app using Multi Gesture.

Hello everyone,
I'm not sure if I'm the only one who experience this unusual bug. Since I update my iPad Mini to iOS7 (now it's 7.0.3), whenever I close an app using multi gesture, it freezes. It happens very frequent, in a ratio of 3 out of 5.
Does anyone experience the same issue? If so, is there any way to fix it? Or I will have to wait for Apple to patch up?

Go to settings>icloud>storage and back up>back up
after that preform a restore by going to
general>reset>erase all content and settings
this will delete everything except the enabled stuff on icloud.
You can view whats enabled by going to icloud in settings.

Is there any possibility that apple would offer update program that supports new multi gesture for old mac book air?

I thought its clearly stated that it support this...

Why can't i my scroll with my multi-gesture touchpad in firefox4?

Hi, i have a gateway nv79c48u laptop with intelcore i3-370m processor and also a multi-gesture touchpad etc.. It worked fine with fx3, but since i installed fx4 i can't scroll with the touchpad in a in the firefox browser anymore. in other browsers like internet explorer and chrome it still works fine though.. I wonder if it's a add-on that is causing the problem or if fx4 doesn't support this feature.. i hope it's not the second one though, thanx!

You can't access iCloud.com from a mobile browser. You can from a desktop or laptop computer whose browser identifies it as such.
If you use a browser on your iPad or iPhone which allows changing the browser ID sent to websites, e.g., "Safari" rather than "Mobile Safari" you will be able to access iCloud.com. One such browser is iCab which is available in the App Store
