Multi-hop cycle detected

When I try to open Safari on my MacBook (not Pro, just the older MacBook) a white screen appears with
"Your request is prohibited because it would cause a cycle." on a tab labelled "Multi-Hop Cycle Detected."
Anyone know how to fix this?  I called Apple and they had no answer.
Can't open my Yahoo email to receive your response. Thanks.  Sparkysmom

Appears to be a Yahoo induced problem.
FWIW, I've asked the hosts to remove your phone number. It is quite dangerous to post your number in an open forum. You are not talking to Apple here, just other users volunteering their time to help and never want to reveal personal information.

  • Cycle detection with DefaultMutableTreeNode

    Is the cycle detection implemented in the DefaultMutableTreeNode robust ?
    can I trust in the underneath algorithm of this component ? Can I assure a graph modeled with DefaultMutableTreeNode object has no cycles ?

    I don't know about the DefaultMutableTreeNode but I have implemented two JTree models that had infinite depth due to links from nodes back to nodes. I found no problem with this. It seems that JTree only visits a node in the model when it has been expanded in the view.

    It means that these two packages, directly or indirectly, are mutually dependent. Normally pacman installs dependencies of packages before the package itself, but this creates a catch-22 when packages depend on each other. In these cases, pacman is allowed to temporarily ignore (--assume-installed) one of the mutually dependent packages to install the other, as long as it is sure that both of them can be installed within the same pacman invocation. At least that's my understanding.
    Great explanation. thanks. Marking as solved.

  • Cycle detection in a object network

    Hi,
    I need to implement a cycle detection logic in my code. My application connects objects in one direction. Each object can have single/multiple connections. So every time I connect 2 objects I need to check any cycle is forming in the whole network, if yes then the connection should not be allowed. I assume that this network cannot be represented as a tree.
    Can anyone please help me in this issue?
    Thanks in advance

    Can anyone please help me in this issue?If you have a specific question, then perhaps. Otherwise I can only point you to a search engine. Try searching with the following keywords: graph cycle detection algorithm.
    Good luck.

  • Cycle detect:.....

    return true;
    i get an error at "static class ader" and at "implements ader"
    error: Cycle detected: the type ader cannot extend/implement itself or one of its own member types

    Where do you get those ideas?
    1) A class cannot extend itself.
    2) ader should be Ader, according to the conventions
    3) ader is a class and no interface, and thus couldn't be implemented anyway.

Now when i pacman -Syu i get the above error now.
    i cant seem to figure out where to go.   i tried to remove a few components to overcome this problem, but i ran into dependency-hell. im reluctant to force remove anything without opinion.
    it appears that i need to
    pacman -Rd

    the only packages that i know that use these gcc-libs that i use are amarok, and deadbeef. did i mess something up when installing these?

    This usually happens when the toolchain gets an update -- multilib lags behind by a day or two. Looks like we just pushed out the the multilib toolchain today, so I'd wait a few hours for your mirror to sync up and then try again.

  • "dependency cycle detected" warnings when installing nvidia driver

    I'm getting two "dependency cycle detected" warnings when installing nvidia driver on a fresh arch system:
    xorg-server will be installed before its nvidia-libgl dependency
    harfbuzz will be installed before its freetype2 dependency
    Is that normal?

    It's not 'normal' but if everything is working fine, no need to worry. They're just warnings, not errors.

  • FCoE multi-hop

    With the new FCoE multi-hop capabilities of the new Nexus 5548, will multi-hop become a possibility with UCS?
    For example, if I connect Fabric Interconnect > Nexus 5548 > NetApp FCoE port; will this work, and allow blades to boot from SAN and see LUNs without connecting an array directly to the Fabric Interconnect?
    If not, is this a feature that could be added with a future UCS firmware upgrade, or is it a hardware limitation?

    Simon
    Its is not a hardware limitation.
    It has to be enabled in software and is slated for in the release end of this year.

  • [solved]Dependency cycles detected when installing Arch 2008.06

    Hey guys!
    I wanted to reinstall Arch64. But when it comes to install packages the installation fails: "Dependency cycle detected: ** will be installed before its glibc dependency". I tried the core and the ftp install cd. checksums are allright. Normally I would do a pacman -f, but it's in the setup.

  • Multi-Take Cycling Audio Missing Revisited...

    Apologizes for all the typos in a previous email on the multi-take recording audio missing. I have since done some research and have better terminology to use so I'll restate. I believe this could be a bug and want folks to be aware of it at the very least.
    Someone else posted a problem with the "cycle multi-takes" saying that after using pieces of several takes on one track, as done in the instruction video shown in the link below from Apple, his problem was the audio showed up but was not playing at all. I have done the same thing, but the audio just disappeared in 2 out of 10 of my takes, nowhere to be found. It played perfectly while I previewing and deciding what to use, and all takes are still appearing in the drop down list, but when you select them, they are empty. Tried to post a picture of my screen, but can't figure out how to do that!
    http://www.apple.com/findouthow/music/garageband08.html#tutorial=multitake
    The only thing I did different from the video was to make a new track and copy the multitakes to it, decide what I wanted where and copied it back to the main track after splitting it appropriately.
    Thanks to all that offer help on this discussion board!

    I believe I have the same problem. When I record multiple takes and then CMND+T to split the track and use different takes, they disappear, re-appear, and sometimes are lost again for good. This is the worst sin a software developer can make--losing a musician's best takes.
    I am furious at Apple for this, particularly since Apple Care has consistently claimed ignorance. Apple if you're reading this, you have made a mess of several nights work on several occasions for me. Thanks a lot.

  • Problem in faces-config.xml cycle detection

    Hi,
    I'm having the following problem in my jsf application. I have a loginMangager bean which holds a reference to the logged user and which is used by many other beans in my application. But in a particular situation I'm getting the following error:
    SEVERE: JSF will be unable to create managed bean listaChecagemBean when it is requested.  The following problems where found:
         - Managed bean mesaTarefasBean contains cyclic references.  Evaluation path: mesaTarefasBean -> loginManager -> listaChecagemBean -> loginManager.My faces-config.xml looks like this:
      <managed-bean>
        <managed-bean-name>loginManager</managed-bean-name>
        <managed-bean-class>
          br.gov.pgfn.efdv.mesa.view.login.LoginManagerBean
        </managed-bean-class>
        <managed-bean-scope>session</managed-bean-scope>
      </managed-bean>
      <managed-bean>

        <managed-bean-class>
          br.gov.pgfn.efdv.mesa.view.ListaChecagemBean
        </managed-bean-class>
        <managed-bean-scope>session</managed-bean-scope>

          <value>#{loginManager}</value>
        </managed-property>
        <managed-property>

        </managed-property>
      </managed-bean>
      <managed-bean>
        <managed-bean-name>mesaTarefasBean</managed-bean-name>
        <managed-bean-class>br.gov.pgfn.efdv.mesa.view.MesaTarefasBean</managed-bean-class>
        <managed-bean-scope>session</managed-bean-scope>

          <value>#{loginManager}</value>
        </managed-property>
        <managed-property>
          <property-name>mesaTarefasFacade</property-name>
          <value>#{mesaTarefasFacade}</value>
        </managed-property>
      </managed-bean>As you can see, there is not really a cycle here since the loginManagerBean does not depend on any other bean. If you think of it as directed graph, listaChecagemBean is connected to mesaTarefasBean and both of them are connected to the loginManagerBean, which is not connected to any other bean, it's a sink node.
    I'm a missing something? Is this a bug?
    I'm using JSF 1.2 RI 1.2_05 and Tomcat 6.0.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Ryan,
    I still problems with the release 1.2_07 which works fine with 1.2_04 when I use external beans through a custom el-resolver.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <faces-config xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee"

         version="1.2">
         <application>
              <el-resolver>net.t_mobile.test.resolver.TestELResolver</el-resolver>
         </application>
         <managed-bean>
              <managed-bean-name>sessionBean</managed-bean-name>
              <managed-bean-class>net.t_mobile.test.beans.SessionBean</managed-bean-class>
              <managed-bean-scope>session</managed-bean-scope>
              <managed-property>
                   <property-name>externalBean</property-name>
                   <value>#{externalBean}</value>
              </managed-property>
         </managed-bean>
         <managed-bean>
              <managed-bean-name>dummyA</managed-bean-name>
              <managed-bean-class>net.t_mobile.test.beans.DummyBean</managed-bean-class>
              <managed-bean-scope>session</managed-bean-scope>
              <managed-property>
                   <property-name>sessionBean</property-name>
                   <value>#{sessionBean}</value>
              </managed-property>
         </managed-bean>
         <managed-bean>
              <managed-bean-name>dummyB</managed-bean-name>
              <managed-bean-class>net.t_mobile.test.beans.DummyBean</managed-bean-class>
              <managed-bean-scope>session</managed-bean-scope>
              <managed-property>
                   <property-name>sessionBean</property-name>
                   <value>#{sessionBean}</value>
              </managed-property>
              <managed-property>
                   <property-name>parentBean</property-name>
                   <value>#{dummyA}</value>
              </managed-property>
         </managed-bean>
    </faces-config>
    The dependencies are like follows:
    dummyB.parentBean = dummyA
    dummyB.sessionBean = sessionBean
    dummyA.sessionBean = sessionBean
    sessionBean.externalBean = externalBean (resolved through external el-resolver)
    If I remove "dummyB" or the reference to externalBean no cycles are detected anymore.
    Could you confirm this bug?
    Regards,
    Marc

    Does someone kown how to do?

    Hi,
    The VPN Pool could be pretty much any network/subnet.
    The amount of routing hops on the LAN network doesnt really matter. The ASA should have a route for the LAN network so it can forward the VPN user traffic there. The return traffic from the LAN to the VPN user should be forwarded with the default route of the network devices. If your default route isnt pointing to this ASA then you naturally need to add a route for the VPN Pool on your LAN devices.
    Though I am not sure I have understood your question completely.
