Multi Issue Folios do not appear

Hey,
my folios i created in InDesign do not show up at the iPad or the Android Tablet i use for testing.
When i wanted to create the Apps with the "DPS App Builder" and filled in the "Title-ID" a error message was shown that this user does not have the rights.
I use the same account for creating and publishing.
First i tried to add the user to the "Kontoverwaltungswerkzeug" but that wasn't possible.
So i created a new user and add to in the list of the "Kontoverwaltungswerkzeug" and gave the user all the rights.
Then it was possible to create my Apps and run them on the devices.
The problem is when i run the App the folios are not shown and i dont know why.
I also shared my folios with the user i created but still no result.
I've tried everything but it won't work.
Is it possible that i have to create and publish the folios with the user i created?

I believe you published folios with old Adobe id which you were not able to use for title in DPS app builder. So you created new Adobe id "Kontoverwaltungswerkzeug" and gave all rights ,used as title in DPS app builder, build app. When you tested that don’t show up the folios.
Make sure you specify the same Adobe ID you use to create and publish folios for this title in app builder. Create app and test.
Also let us know what is the resolution of folio you created?

This doesn't look like an Oracle Designer question. "App_folder" sounds like it has something to do with eBusiness Suite, right? If so, ask this in the EBS forum.

In Stpo transport, load and goods issue line is not appear

I am creating the STPO's (Different company codes) in items details -> Del.sch-> transport, load date and goods issue is not appear. The Delivery date is 25.02.2008. next day the user as change the del.date from 25th to 26th. transport,load date and goods issue is appear.
Anybody plz tell me how its happen like this, and tell the root cause.

Hi Nilima,
When running off RSA3, it will use a dialog process while when called from the PC it will be using a background process. Check the 'abap/time' setting in rz11.
Moreover, if it took only two hours to process last month, it is improbable that data has increased to such a large extent in a month's time.
It is possible that new jobs have been added on the R/3 side that runs at this time.
It may be a good idea to try and run this Process Chain when the R/3 system is lightly loaded.
Discuss this with the Basis Team.

Folios do not appear in Kindle Fire edition

Trying to test (side load) on the Kindle Fire currently with a multi-folio edition using DPS Pro. I have been following these instructions http://www.adobe.com/devnet/digitalpublishingsuite/articles/targeting-amazon-kindle-fire.h tml
For some reason the library view on the App is blank. I cannot get the Folios to appear. Anyone have a similar problem?

thank you very much for your help. It seems as amazon has changed the acceptance of "not working" Apps and does not publish/supress them any more. I did as you described and get back an rejection:
Your app has failed a test case.
Bug Description: Functionality Failure
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download,install and launch the app
2. Blank screen appears.
OS/Device(s)/Form Factor: 4.0.3/Samsung Tab2/Tablet.
Seems like its not possible to publish to kindle at the moment? Do you have a contact at amazon, who could maybe assist me?

Folios will not appear on iPad, or iPhone

Hi there, this has me baffled.
I'am trying to update an existing indesign 5.5 document to DPS folio builder the same way as normal, but when I go to view the app on the ipad and iphone it has dissappeared and all that is left is the Adobe Content Viewer document in the libary. Strangely on the Android tablet it shows the whole libary and works fine.
after de-installing the app from a couple of ipads and iphone and then re-installed the app still the same problem. Is this just a bug with the app
any help would be great

I saw this issue around 8:30 am Pacific time on both my iPhone 4 and iPad 3 (both running the latest iOS 5). Both were installed through iTunes.
The specific issue is that folios that are not published (i.e. they have the blue slash w/ lightning bolt) aren't appearing in the Library.
I was getting ready to capture some details on the network calls and launched both viewers and now I'm seeing them. Very strange.
If you switch to a different app and back again does the problem resolve itself? If not, perhaps quitting the app completely and launching fixes it.
We still need to understand why the folios were excluded, there's some network communication error going on.

Folio will not appear on ipad

Created a folio and shared it with people who have downloaded the Adobe viewer on their iPad. They log into the viewer with their Adobe ID, but the folio that I have shared does not come up. What am I doing wrong? How will the folio appears with others on their ipad?

I had a newer version of the ipad and made foilo versions in 2048x1536. Created a new version of 1024x768 - then it worked.

FOLIO does not appear in ACV after sharing

Hi all,
short issue tonight when sharing a Folio with colleagues on ACV.
Some of them don't see it in their ACV, but mine and another are ok.
Everybody work with iPad 3, with last version of ACV, and have already able to view some sharing folio by the past.
Folio is a 1024x768, multi orentiation and single sized, designed for version 21.
I've made the basic controls, like login/sign out procedure, but issue still invisible.
I try to share it again form Producer web page, but answer was "This user is already getting an access"
What can I do more now ?

G/L account issue-Line items not appearing in the G/L

We are using ECC6.
A B/S account is open item managed as well as line item managed. Also it was later activated for ledger group specific clearing.
There is a problem line items do not get displayed in FBL3n (i.e they do not get updated in the BSIS table), when we run program RFSEPA01 it updates the line items in BSIS table but when subsequent line items are posted we face the same problem again..which can be solved only if we run the program RFSEPA01.

Hi,
Once the line item display check box is selected and ran prog RFSEPA01, system will updates the records to BSIS table for all the line items posted using that GL account. Afterwards it will defenitely generate line items in relatime, when the postings are made.
Better you to raise a OSS message by attaching the proper documentation of the total scenario.

Is anyone else having issues with mail not appearing on the iCloud server?

My iCloud account is not accepting emails from trusted and regular colleagues. Does an IP address link into my iCloud account. It was suggested to me by another ISP that it does and it may be corrupted. I have never heard of this but at this point I am frantic. My livelihood depends on the internet and to not be receiving emails means I am not receiving checks. HELP... I have an iMac running on Lion (blech and I heard the newer are worse) and I have my macbookpro running on Snow Leopard which is the best running of my OS. My iPad is iOS 6 because my iPhone iOS 7 and that is NASTY as well.

One of my folios does not appear in dev app

I'm testing a dev app prior to an R25 app update submission to Apple and a funny thing has come up: I can see all the previously published folios... except for one.
All the folios are published as Free/Public, all with the same Product ID, etc. When I launch the existing R22 app, I can see and download all the folios. It's only when I launch the R25 dev app that one particular folio is missing from the Library screen. It's neither the oldest nor the newest folio, nor does it employ any format that differs from the other folios.
Any idea why?

you said all with the same product IDs? I hope you mean all product ID's are unique for every folio because they have to be unless ofcourse its a rendition. Contact support or PM me the details for that account and I will take a look.

Latest issue does not appear in the multi issue app on ipad3

as i updated to v20, the latest created folio does not appear on ipad3, but there seems to be no problem with ipad 1 & 2.

Have you created renditions for this issue?

Multi issue approvals

please excuse then dumb question, I have only ever created single issue Apps, that go straight to Apple. In the past when I have done an update, the approval process has been pretty quick, typically less than a week. However I may have a project that will demand a quicker turnaround. So am I right in thinking that if I create multi-issue folios that are then served through the Adobe servers, such as Wired, or Evo, etc that each new piece of content doesnt need the Apple approval process? Even though I'm asking this, I get the feeling that each magazine/brochure does still need Apple's approval, as I've read tweets about delays to Wired and Project, stating Apple as the bottleneck. But how if thats the case how can we produce time sensitive content, if it's reliant of apple approval process?

Apple insists on approving retail issues released within a multi-issue app. Normally you do this by declaring/booking the next few issue dates in iTunes Connect, then uploading a sample folio for each forthcoming issue that represents the kind of material you intend to publish, on the understanding that you will update it with real content nearer the date. Apple is then much more likely to approve your first few issues within a few days, then will approve subsequent new issues on the nod.
If your issues are free, Apple does not insist on approving them before they go public. Apple needs the app and a sample representational issue to approve at the outset. Once these are approved, you can replace the sample with your live issue overnight without going having to go through the approval process again.

Update Pro Ed. Single Issue folio.

We´ve submitted a Single Issue app to Apple and we are in the review process.
I´ve updated Multi-Issue folios before, where it´s just done through folio producer, but. What about single issue apps?. Do I have to upload the whole App or is it done in the same manner?. I can´t find info on this and it´s critical. Client wants last minute changes and i don´t know if it´ll be instant as in multi-folio or has to wait for days for approval, etc.
Also I read around this forum that single edition appas are more likely to be rejected?. Is that the case?.
Depending on these issues I might need to go back to a multi issue with just one issue, which is pretty silly-sounding...

Yes you need to re-create the app by importing the updated folio in App Builder and then you would need to resubmit the app to Apple. That's how the Single Edition workflow is since the the folio resides in the App and is not hosted on Adobe Servers for Single Edition Apps.
Single Edition apps are sometimes rejected by Apple in case they do not have enough interactivity.

Folio renditions not showing in new iPad viewer

I created a v19 viewer and built my new issue with both 1024 and 2048 renditions. On the 1st gen iPad the viewer works perfectly. It says updating library for about 3 seconds and the new issue appears and downloads the 1048 renditions, no problem. On the 3rd gen iPad all I get is the updating library message indefinitely. These are retail folios and I checked the that product ID was entered correctly. They appear without a problem in the content viewer just not in the development app. Any suggestions?

Retail folios should not appear in the Adobe Content Viewer. They should appear only in the development and distribution apps. Are you sure you set the folios to Retail?
