Multi level credit check
My client has a dealer distributor scenario where multiple dealers are affiliated to one distributor. The client wants the credit check on two level where there is an individual limit for each of the dealers and then there is a cumulative limit applicable on all the dealers of the same distributor. If any of these limits are breached the system should trigger a warning/ error.
Eg. D1, D2 and D3 are dealers affiliated to Mr. X (The distributor)
D1 has credit limit of 10 Lacs
D2 20 Lacs
D3 30 Lacs
The total limit for all the dealers of Mr. X (D1,D2 and D3) is 40 Lacs.
Thus when the system sells it should check against both the individual limits of the dealers as well as the cumulative limit of the distributor
How can this be done?
Hi.
As per the SAP standerd this is not possible. u sad in ur business secnario payers are delears then u can check their credit limit directly ?
Next comes to ur problem Ask ur ABAPER Write one routine assign accordingly if not try with the user exit.
User Exits For Credit Checks And Risk Management
Credit Check
If you want to carry out your own individual credit checks, that differ
from those in the standard system, you must define them in the following
user exits:
o LVKMPTZZ
o LVKMPFZ1: USER_CREDIT_CHECK1
o LVKMPFZ2: USER_CREDIT_CHECK2
o LVKMPFZ3: USER_CREDIT_CHECK3

I want to set credit check at sale order level with following conditions
consider open deliveries for credit exposure
consider billing documents for creadit exposure
do not consider any open orders
Also if oldest items are open for more than 7days then block the sale order creation
e.g suppose customer is having credit limit Rs.100000/- and open deliveries against this customer is having the value Rs.50000/- i.e. credit exposure is Rs.50000/-. In this case system should block the new sale order created of value more than Rs.50000/-
plz suggest the configuration steps

Credit Check at Sales Order Creation & Delivery Creation levels
Hi
I am using Dynamic Credit check, Assigned credit group (with block) in OVAK for Sales Orders and for delivery types also assigned credit group.
Issue is while creating Sales Order system is doing dynamic credit check and blocking the sales order but delivery block is not happening, then i am releasing block in VKM3. but while creating Delivery system is not doing dynamic credit check.
requirement is in both levels system should check the credit check.
Can any plz guide me.
PrasadHi
It is not possible in the standard. The block at different levels is configured based on the degree of risk involved with the customer. If the customer is more risky, he should be blocked at ordr livel itself. If the customer is less risky, the order should be processed , like picking, packing etc., and only Goods Issue should be stopped.
The release will be done by a responsible person and hence it should not block again. eg., if the order is released with special approval from a higher up like Marketing - GM, then it should not block the delivery again.
Thanks,

Credit Check at Ship to Party Level
Hi Mark
My Client requirement is do Credit Check at Ship to Party level. How can we achieve Credit Check at Ship to Party. Please explain.
Thanks
RajanikanthHi Mark
Thank you very much for your reply.
How can i assign a BP to Credit Management
What i know is my Client wants to implement Credit Check at ship to level. I really dont know why they want to implement credit check at ship to level.
By the statement "You can have a bill to, payer to represent the Head Office.", i assume that credit check can be done at bill to or payer ?. Is that correct. ?
I dont know if we really need 4 layers of customer master partner functions but we definitely need sold to and ship to.
Thanks

Can we detrmine Credit Check at delivery or billing level
Hi
Can we determine Credit Check at delivery or billing level other than at Sales Order level?
If yes, what settings need to be done in IMG?Hi Ronaldo,
the idea behind making a credit check is to block the customer from receiving goods in case the credit limit has already exceeded right?
Now consider that you have a customer for whom you are preapring a sales order, carrying out delivery and PGI ,
then when you went on to bill him you find that the customer has exceeded its credit limit. Now, since you have alreday prepared sales oredr and delivery document and even posted goods what action would you take? you have already carried out pgi.
it is not possible in standard SAP.Since once the PGI is done and later the credit limit is checked at the time of billing, then the delivery will have to be revrsed, sales order has to be cancelled and so on making it a little complex.
Thanks,

Sales Order Confirmed qty set to zero even without credit check at SO level
Hi
Credit management is implemented and dynamic credit limit check has been assigned only for delivery doc types for blockig PGI.
There is no credit limit check assigned to sales order types as per the customers requirement.
However, we came across a scenario where, the confirmed quanties in a sales order were set to zero even though stock was available for the materials and no credit block at SO level.
The issue was however resolved by going into change mode of sales order>edit> check availability. The schedule lines for all the materials were confirmed.
Unable to figure out why the schedule lines were not confirmed even though stock available.
Checked the routiine 101 in OVB8 but it only applies if credit limit check active at sales order level.
Also checked 'conf.block' for 01-credit limit check in OVZ7 but even this applies if credit limit active at sales order level.
Note: This happened only once. The same scenario was tested in Quality system and there the schedule lines were confirmed even when the customer exceeded the credit limit.
Please let me know if I hav overlooked anything that needs to be checked.
What could be the reson for the items not being confirmed when the order was created?

Madhu

Edited by: Madhu Naidu on Jul 12, 2011 2:06 PMHi Vinayak
Thanks for your response.
As you said it migt be bcos of the conf block at OVZ7, but the F1 help for that says that it applies when there is a credit limit check related delivery block in the sales order.
However, in my case, there is no credit check assigned at sales order level.
And also when I tried to recreate the scenario by creating an order for a customer who had exceeded the credit limit, it didnt delete the confirmed qty from the schd lines even after saving.
ANy possible reasons other than credit check conf block that could have led to schd lines not being confirmed inspite of sufficient stock??

Multiple level of credit check
Hi Gurus...
I have this scenario where my client wants to control credit limit at groups and company code level. I have assigned company code to credit control area as 1 to 1 basis.
In this set up, I can only control and monitor credit at company code level but not as a group (consolidation of all credit control area).
Is there anyway for me to have multiple level of credit check.
i.e check at credit control area AND check at total credit limit for all credit control area?
Thank you in advanceThank you Arun for you helpful answer.
But Centralize Credit Control Area will only check at group level.
Assuming I have Company code 1000 and 2000.
For Customer A, I set credit limit at company 1000 as 2000usd and at company 2000 as 4000usd.
So the total credit limit as a group is 6000usd.
When Customer A purchase from 1000, 3500 usd worth of sales, credit management will block the document since its already over the limit.
But assuming that the sales is released for some reason, the credit exposure in company 1000 is 3500usd and in company 2000 is still 0usd.
Then when customer A want to purchase 3000usd from company 2000, the system will not block, since as far as company 2000 concern, the purchase still within the limit.
My requirement is, in this situation, system will block the sales, since as a group, total sales is 6500usd which is 500usd more than total credit limit of all company code.
Basically I want the system to check at company code level and also at the group level -

Credit check at sales order line item level
We are trying to carry out credit checking at the line item level. Standard SD only has credit checking at the document level.
Does anyone know of any enhancements or notes we can apply to achieve this.
Thanks SteveHi Steve,
The field VBAP-CMGST is only at the header level that is the credit
status is only available at the header. So when you release a
sales order the entire order is released. It cannot be maintained
at the item level.
Note 60672 explains that placing a delivery block on the schedule line
level will have this affect on credit management. Credit bases things
on what can be delivered. Please check in the tranx OVZ7
In block quantity confirmation in delivery blocks there is a blocking
reason setup (ZI) which blocks confirmation if an item is incomplete.
Please see configuration in transaction OVZ7.
Unfortunately, in standard SAP, credit block is applicable to the
whole S/O document.
In general, credit is applicable to the customer [soldto/billto/payer].
In SAP, this 'customer' is part of header/document level, and not
item level.
You can not change this behaviour in IMG or userexit.
I hope those information can be useful

R12.1.3 receivables - Credit Check Failure Issue
Hello,
We have few customers who have Credit Limit setup at customer level. These customers do not have credit limit set up at site levels. Or, in other words, the site level profile does not exist.
For e.g. a customer has following credit limits.
Customer Credit Limit: $7500.00
Order Credit Limit: $7500.00
Note that both types of credit limit has the same amount.
Now the problem is this: when entering and booking a Sales Order in Order Management, It does not apply any Credit Check Failure hold. Even if the Order amount for just one sales order exceeds $7500, it does NOT apply any credit check failure hold.
Same is the problem with Customer Credit limit. If there are 5 sales orders for a given customer and their grand total is exceeding $7500.00 it does NOT apply any credit check failure hold.
Has any one encountered this issue? What is causing this? What am I missing? Please advise.
DarshHi Darsh,
Hope you have done the following...
1) On the Profile: Transaction Tab, ensure the credit check box is checked
2) On the payment terms aswell, ensure the credit check box is checked
3) if you are using any multi currency..make sure the currency is specified at customer profile with amount limits..
Thanks

Can we use SNP PDS in Multi level ATP ?
Hi All,
We do CTM planning with existing SNP PDS In APO and now we want to explore to use the Multi level ATP functionality for GATP. I know, MATP can create the ATP trees if the stock is not available and these can be converted into PPDS order.
My question is, can we use SNP PDS for this purpose?
Thanks,
AbhilashaHi Abhilasha,
There is no such specific mention anywhere in the literature that you cannot use SNP PDS for MATP. The only downside to using SNP PDS is that SNP PDS are meant for mid to long term planning and the activities/operations in SNP PDS are usually not in detail i.e only important activities or bottle neck components are usually used which will not always facilitate detailed scheduling.
On the other hand MATP creates ATP tree structures by plan exlosion(which can be SNP/PDS) and saves the requirements groups(component requirements of header level) with dates/qts and source of supply. It uses PPDS component to convert these ATP tree structures into PPDS planned orders depending on the conversion horizon/requirements dates. It does that by reading the source of supply, requirements dates and quantities from ATP tree structure and by plan explosion.
When MATP planned orders are created you should no longer plan them with automatic planning run as that will cause re-explosion of the plan and might cause incorrect down stream requirements if you had had substitutions at component leve during MATP check. In planned orders, you have an option of changing the allowed sources of supply (in source of supply section). But for orders created by MATP, you will not be allowed to change the source of supply field from SNP PDS to PPDS PDS in the planned order because it will re-explode the plan. So you can decide for yourself if you can use SNP PDS as source of supply for PPDS planned orders.
Hope that answers your question.

Credit Check againt letter of credit.
hi,
This is regarding credit check of sales order against FD. If the letter of credit belongs to company 001 and sales order contains any line items materials other than company 001. It gives an error EI574 "Financial Doc data check result not ok". Is there any way to do credit check ignoring company? I mean financial document will be in one company but sales order items can be from multiple company. Please share your expertise.

AchuthanandanHi Achuthanandan,
if the credit control area is assigned at company code level then this error will appear
if the credit control area is assigned at the sales area level then this error will not come
