Multi Line Selection with ALV Grid

what do I have to do to make multiple line selection available in an ALV Grid (Version 4.7)?

Once you displayed your alv output display, then select rows in the alv display.
then when you click for interactive buttion (ie. like Refresh functionality), In debug mode you can see internal table with Sell field active (i.e. marked "X") which you have selected.

  • How do I find an event which is triggered on line selection for ALV grid?

    Hi,
    I'm trying to find an event which is triggered when a user selects a row in the ALV grid. I want to add my own code in to add up the total values of selected lines, but can't find any event which will trigger my method.
    I found CLICK_ROW_COL but it's protected so when I try and add a method for it:
      PROTECTED SECTION.
        METHODS:
        select_row
            FOR EVENT click_row_col OF cl_gui_alv_grid.
    I get the syntax error:
    Access to protected event "CLICK_ROW_COL" is not allowed.
    Am I using the right event? Am I implementing it correctly?
    Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    I chose to solve this by removing the line select buttons from the ALV and replacing them with a checkbox defined as a hotspot.  I then used EVENT hotspot_click FROM cl_gui_alv_grid to highlight the line and change my totals on a single click.

  • At Line Selection on ALV Grid

    Hi guys: I need to double click on a field in the ALV report that should bring up another structure (which I have created) called s_det
    s_det has only document number & company code.
    Please provide the code for doing this in ALV. I know I cant use At Line Selection. Please give me simple code.

    Hi,
    Am creating a FM where all data declaration,subroutines and selection screen will be in separate includes.Delivary order number is fetched based on sales order number given as input by the user.
    Output is displayed using ALV.
    Interactive List:Now in the list,when i click on sales document number it should take me to the trasaction VA03 and when i double click on delivary document number it should take me to VL03.

  • How to sense which lines are selected in ALV grid with Reuse FM.

    Hi!;
    with the help of the forum I have developed a ALV grid whose first column is a editable checkbox.
    The user click some of the lines on the ALV grid and I added an additional button on the tooolbar named "ACCEPT".
    When the button ACCEPT is clicked I want to get the lines whose checkbox is checked.
    How can I do that ?
    Making the first column (Checkbox column ) hotspot of no help.

  • I have a problem with ALV Grid User Command?

    Hi Experts,
    I have a problem with ALV GRID User Command.
    I am calling TCODE IW33 (Order Display) from the ALV output at first time by selecting an order. But, User command is calling IW33 Initial screen with blank value of order. Even I checked in debugging the value what I selected is passing properly, but once that screen (IW33 Initial) displays, value doesn't appear. Then, Manually, I  created another session and gone to TCODE IW33 and displayed an order. After that I came out from that order. Then again run my ALV program and selected another order, now order is displaying, but not what I selected current order instead of displaying previous order what I just displayed manually. If I selected any other order, system will display the same order what I dislayed manually.
    Here is my code.

    When an Interactive Report is needed in Classical Display, we go for AT LINE-SELECTION. But when the same is needed in ALV Display, this method won't work. Instead, we need to use other way which is explained below:
    We use REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY for ALV Display. Now, normally we call that FM in the following way:
    CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'
    EXPORTING
    i_callback_program = 'PROGRAM_NAME'
    it_fieldcat = tb_fieldcat
    TABLES
    t_outtab = tb_output.
    When it is needed to get an Interactive ALV, call the same FM in the following manner:

    it_fieldcat = tb_fieldcat
    i_callback_user_command = 'USER_COMMAND'

    Now, in the report, create a subroutine with the name USER_COMMAND as follows:

    Based on the requirement, write the logic *

    No need to call the subroutine as PERFORM user_command. This will be takane care by REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY. We need to just write the subroutine in the report. That suffices.
    Some more useful points for Interactive ALV:
    1. If Hotspot is needed, then that should be done by declaring hotspot (one field in slis_t_fieldcat_alv) as 'X' in tb_fieldcat which is of type slis_t_fieldcat_alv. When hotspot is active, single click will be enough or else you should double click on the output data.
    2. In Classical Display, when it is needed to read the record on which we double clicked, we do that in following way:
    AT LINE-SELECTION.
    GET CURSOR LINE wf_line. " wf_line gives the line number on which it has been clicked
    READ LINE wf_line OF CURRENT PAGE.
    But this won't work for ALV. Instead, the following logic can be used:
    FORM user_command USING p_ucomm LIKE sy-ucomm
    p_selfield TYPE slis_selfield.
    CASE p_ucomm.
    WHEN '&IC1'. " &IC1 - SAP standard code for double-clicking

  • Issue with ALV grid print preview/spool

    Hello everyone,
    I am working on a report and I am having some issues with ALV grid. Currently in our DEV and QA environments the user can run the report, view the ALV grid, and print the grid without any issues.
    However this isn't the case in the Prod environment. The user is able to run the report and view the grid without any issues. But when they click print preview or click print, the spool is incorrect. It shows the proper values from the grid, but the first field is reduced in length. Rather than showing a numeric field of length 10 it shows 99999999# or 99999999...
    The programs are identical through every environment, including user parameters, formats, and spool settings. I have been told printing grids may have some issues, does anyone have any advice or dealt with this issue before?

    I need to display the results of a report with ALV Grid. The Problem is: I need to display the resultdata (some numbers etc..) in one row and then add a second row with the longtext.
    The ALV should look somthing like this:

  • Splitter container with alv grid has to be replaced with a dynpro

    I have a container which I have splitt in 4 areas, on the right half I have two splitter container with alv grids.
    On the left side I have my navigation tree in 2 splitter container.
    I don't know if this really works, but is it possible that I call a dynpro in the splitter container (after using my navigation tree) where still my alv grids exist?

    so it is not able that I can show a dynpro with several text fields?
    or can I introduce the textfields in another version to the container?
    In se80 I think you have the same, there they call another transactions, is it possible that I call a transaction to the right side of a splitter container?

    I have added some more functionality to my report. The good thing is, the report works as it should.
    BUT, I'm not really sure, whether this is a good (correct) design. The report works the following way:
    1. Read planning data form text file into internal table
    2. Display the internal table
    3. Convert the data and display the converted result
    4. Post the converted data to the system
    5. Display log with messages
    The main thing is, I would like to know, do i really need two dynros, to display the two different internal tables or is it possible just to use one ALV-Grid? I was not able to find another solution. Any comment or help to the report is appreciated.
