Multi-page scanning to one file

Scanner will not allow multiple page scans to one file from the glass.  A checkbox exists in advanced settings to create a separate file for each scan if checked.  However if left unchecked there is no button ("+", "add", "continue", etc.) on the screen to add more scanned pages to the file.  The checkbox makes no difference in advanced settings on the "file" tab.

Hi, Yes, it has              Please scan from the printer software (ie from your computer). Regards.

Have you tried using the HP Scan and Capture app that you can download from the Windows 8 store? This will give you the option of muti page scan and saving as pdf.

  • Unable to view Multi-page Tif G4 Compressed files

Is any one aware of a product(free would be best); that will permit Mac (various operating system versions) desktops to view Tif image files?
Tif file format we are using, the viewer must be able to view:
    G4 compression;
    Multi-page tif,
Interestingly enough the Ipad's are able to view our compressed files without additional software, but the Preview application that comes on Mac's we have in house and employee's who have Mac's at home that tryingto use for work are not able to view our highly compressed images.
We have software for our PC systems that permit the viewing/editing of our images without problems. Unfortunately, the software is not compatible with Mac's.
No, their is no option to convert out TiF to a different compression, with our high volumn of scanning we need the high compression for our scanning of documents as is.
The only work around we have is for staff that are using Mac's in order for them to view documents at home, internal staff must take the time to convert the files to PDF format.

It's an HP P3005dn (duplex+network) printer. OS X simply recognized the printer on the network and set itself up accordingly (without the option of selecting PCL or Postscript). The Windows computers in the office, though, - ugh - it was ugly getting them set up. None of them would recognize the printer on the network, and couldn't even browse for it and find it. I wound up having to download Bonjour for windows, and set it up that way. I downloaded the drivers from HP.com, and believe I set them all up to print using PCL.
It sounds like PCL v. PostScript may be the issue; is it possible to print using PCL on Macs?

  • HP LaserJet M1522nf Multi Page Scanning Issues

    OS: Win 7 Home 64bit
When I try to scan documents in PDF format on the multi page scanner, the pages does not feed into the scanner. The wheels on the scanner just turn. It is almost as though the printer does not recognize there are pages in the multipage scanner. I do not experience any problems whatsoever with the flatbed scanner.
Being stationed on Afghanistan it is not simple a case of taking it to the closest technitian.
I have restarted the computer, the printer, Adobe PDF but nothing solves the problem.
Then I also get a message: "HP FX Toolbox has stopped working." when I start or restart the computer. How do I fix this problem?
    Appreciate the help.

    Hi Sam (SamK24),
I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial product. You can do this by clicking the following link: Printers - LaserJet.

  • Preview crashes when reading multi-page scanned PDFs

Does anyone know why Preview and Safari should crash while rendering a multi-page PDF scanned by a Lexmark P150 printer/scanner? It doesn’t happen with single page scans. The same thing happens with DEVONAgent and Skim, but not with PDFPen or PDFClerk, which handle the documents with no problem. It happens when I scan with Lexmark’s own All In One Center app, but also with Image Capture. I haven’t tried any other scanning software.
I can post a Console report if anyone is interested.
    Cheers
    Malcolm

Tried that, still getting the same problem. The 2nd and 3rd pages are still showing up as landscape in the preview, but portrait when printed.

  • How to download a web page intact as one file, which can be easily done with Safari

On Safari all I do with a complex web page is 'Save As (whatever I wish, or its existing description. That shows as a complete webpage in a single file. Firefox saves it as a file PLUS a folder of elements. Takes up twice my desktop real estate, and makes going back too complex. Chrome has a sort of fix which now only works occasionally. Am probably overlooking some kind of Ad-on, but have yet to find it. Any thoughts?

Safari saves the web pages in the ''web archive'' format. Basically, it rolls every element of the web page into a single file. It provides the convenience of having everything in a single file but it may not necessarily mean that it saves space. Note that this format is not very portable - other browsers like Internet Explorer cannot open this web archive file.
<BR><BR> Since Firefox saves the web page and its associated elements separately, it can be opened in any other browser. To allow saving web pages in web archive format from Firefox, you can try this add-on: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/mozilla-archive-format/ Mozilla Archive Format].

  • Multi page scanning on Officejet Pro 8600 with flatbed

I had to replace a 6400 series HP multi process with a HP Officejet Pro 8600. With the old software it would ask if there were any more pages when using the flatbed scan option. I can't figure out how to do this using the new software and it automatically creats the file after 1 page. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi,You may scan multiple pages from the Flatbed glass by using the HP Scan software. Open the HP Officejet Pro 8600 software and click the Scan a document or photo option.Select PDF, ensure the Show Preview box is checked and the resolution being set as 300 dpi or below. Click an Scan and use the Add Pages button to add additional pages. Shlomi

  • Mx920 Multi-page scan

How do I scan multiple pages to a single PDF using the MX920 ADF? It was much easier to do with my previous printer.

    Hi cgd14,
There is a program that comes with the printer called the IJ Scan Utility that can assist you with scanning multipage documents to a single PDF file.  To scan using the IJ Scan Utlity, please follow these steps:
    1.  Place the documents on the platen glass of the printer.
    2.  Start IJ Scan Utility by going to your Start menu, then selecting All Programs, then Canon Utilities, then  IJ Scan Utility (folder), then IJ Scan Utility (program).
    3.  In the Canon IJ Scan Utility window that opens, click SETTINGS.... in the bottom right of the window.  The Settings dialog box appears.
    4.  Click the DOCUMENT SCAN option on the left pane of the window, then set the item size, resolution, etc. as required.
    5.  In the SAVE SETTINGS section of the window, you will select the save format and location of the document you are about to scan.
a.)  In the FILE NAME field, specify the name you would like to give the file.  By default the filename will begin with IMG; you can remove IMG and change it to whatever you would like to name the file.
b.)  In the DATA FORMAT field, use the drop-down arrow to select the PDF (Multiple Pages) option.
c.)  In the SAVE IN field, please navigate to the area where you would like the file to be saved once it is scanned in.  By default, the file will be saved in the MY DOCUMENTS folder.
    6.  Once all settings have been selected, click the OK button at the bottom of the SETTINGS (DOCUMENT SCAN) window.  The IJ Scan Utility main screen appears.
    7.  Click the DOCUMENT button.  Scanning starts.  Click the CANCEL button to cancel scanning if needed.  Scanned images are saved in previously selected folder location specified in the SETTINGS... window.
    Hope this helps!

  • Is there a way to package part of a multi-page document -- eg: one page or a spread?

Doing a newspaper: I have lots of uses for extracting part of the many page documents to send to someone else. I want to send it to them with links and fonts but only that which is for that or those pages.
In the past I have had to delete all the unwanted pages which is very slow because there are a lot of unnecessary pages for this instance, and for some reason isn't allowing me to delete more than one at a time. I'm not sure why that is either. But if I can package a portion of the paper, that would do me.
    Thanks.

Alternately you can select the pages that you want to package in the pages panel and chose move and move to a new document(create it before hand) and package that document rather than the original.

  • Copy multi-layer artwork from one file to another; keep layers...

I have an intricate drawing that has a portion I am drawing in a separate document. The layers in the second document do not exist in the destination document.
Is there a way to copy and paste the art so that the objects are kept to their separate layers, and at the same time, create those layers in the destination document when pasting the vectors?

Here is my approach when working with two files, lets say one is a base file, and from a separate file I have changes on layers, or multiple changes, (like varietys).Lets say there are 5 layers. I create another layer, (now there will be 6) call it "changes" lets say in the file with all the other 5 layers.
In Layer pallette, I drag all 5 layers into the 6 layer, they then become sublayers. Then I copy that 6 layer "changes" (with all 5 layers as sublayers) into my base file.
Now I can pull them out and re stack, rename or what have you.
What is cool in working like this if you select the enveloping layer by the "button" you can turn off sub layers and still move everything as a group if you need to position. Example of this would be a die on one layer and a background image on another. With the 'enveloping" layer selected you could turn off the image "sub" layer and by keeping the die layer on you could align by the die and once in postion, turn on the image sub layer.
    hope this helps,
    good luck

  • How do I embed a multi page pdf on one page in indesign?

I'm building an interactive portfolio to put on an ipad to take to an interview. I've got 6 title pages and i'm trying to create sub-pages and embed multiple page pdfs into them so the user can turn the pdf pages within the portfolio page...if that makes any sense.
I'm getting nowhere with it and its driving me mental
Should add im using the cs6 digital publishing update with things like digital overlay etc.

You're butting your head against a wall. You can't do that in an interactive PDF.

  • Add/remove/change multi-pages of a pdf file

What are the costs to me of various alternatives , should  I need to carry out the captioned activity, 6 times a year, or a total of 50 pages a year?

Adobe Acrobat Standard is the lowest level Adobe product which meets these needs. When you say "change" you might want to define this in more detail as changes range from the simple to impossible.

  • Scanning with Yosemite splits multi-page documents into a separate document for each page

I use a Mac Book w/ OSX 10.10.1.  I scan docs using the HP Scan utility & both an HP OfficeJet 6700 & an HP Officejet 8600. Everything worked great for a year or more.
In about September, 2014, multi-page docs started creating a separate file for each page of the doc, instead of storing the scanned multi-page doc in one file as it had before.  I didn't change any settings w/in the HP utility that I am aware of.  I did download the the Yosemite OSX.  I haven't been able to find a setting w/in the HP scan utility to correct the issue.  Both of my scanners are useless for scanning & returning executed agreements (my primary use for them) until I can fix this problem.  I would appreciate any help anyone can give.
    Thank you!

    Hi,
From the HP Scan click on Scan and follow the steps on screen.
Once the scan preview being shown click on Send and then click on Folder.
Select the required Format, then check the box next to 'Save all items to a single file' and click the Save button, then the scan will no longer be saved in seperate files.

How do I scan a document with multiple pages into one file?  My old printer (psc 2110) asked after each scan if I wanted to scan another page.  At the end I had one pdf file with multiple pages.

    Hi mpw101,
If you load the papers into the ADF - Automatic Document Feeder, and then select Document to PDF then they will all be scanning into one file. Let me know if this works for you?

I previously had pse 11 and was able to create multi-page documents as pse files. However, pse 13 does not allow. How can I create multi-page pdf files from pse 13?

Alas, for one of those mysterious adobe reasons, it's gone in recent versions. Only multipage file you can make is a photobook.
