Multi-platform compatibility issue with my fillable pdf

Hey guys/gals -
Here is the run down: I created a fillable PDF for use with my clients to collect data prior to meetings because the original fillable word document that my firm provided was running into issues - especially with mac users. The auxiliary goal that I had for a fillable PDF - in addition to cross platform compatibility - was for my busy clients to be able to complete the form on their iphones/ipads on the go. Unfortunately, I have been receiving emails from clients saying that the document wont save or saying that the completed document is attached and it is returned completely blank and I was hoping for some expert help. I've attached my document below and would really appreciate your thoughts/wisdom on how I can fix it.
To summarize:
Problems
Clients complaining that they can't save the document
Mac Preview destroys the document
Client's say the document is fully completed but when I open the attachment it is blank
Goals
Create a fillable form that works on mac & pc in addition to mobile devices
Cannot use form central or like online services due to data sensitivity

I'll repeat the recommendation to not use Preview. As the form author, you can't prevent it unless you add some JavaScript that activates the fields if it's used in a PDF viewer that provides sufficient support.
If you receive a form that was filled-in and saved with Preview, it may appear blank but actually contain form data. You can open the form in Acrobat and export the form data to FDF/XFDF and import it into a blank form, which you can then save.
For users who cannot save, you should Reader-enable the form in Acrobat or tell your users to use Reader 11. In Acrobat 11 you Reader-enable by selecting: File > Save As Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools

Handling multi-platform compatibility issues

I created an application for a client using LabVIEW 2010 that pops up a window with instructions and a continue button. (Actually, there is more to the project than just this VI). I have demonstrated that this application works on several Dell laptops at several different screen resolutions from 800x600 to 1920x1080. No problems. The VI panel is orange (customer's choice) and the string control (takes up 80 % of the panel) is white. Text is black.
Today, I got a call from my customer. He was installing this application on his customer's personal IBM computer (thinkpad) and the window that popped up was black text and black background. I have no way to debug this problem since the customer could not leave his laptop. As a test, I put a string control on a vi panel and made an application of it to put on the laptop. The test worked as expected with a white string constant and black text.
The laptop was windows 7 (latest updates) running a 1400x900 screen resolution and 16 bit color. The color options were 32 bit and 16 bit. Neither allowed my application to run correctly.
The panel does a soft transition from 50% to 0% transparency.
Any ideas would be helpful!
If anyone has a high end thinkpad and is courageous, I could send you a test application to try out.
I am stumped about this portability issue.
And then he asked if he could run the application on an apple under wine. My support task is going to get larger!

T42 Multi Burner compatibility issue with Rewritable DVD media

I have T42 machine (2373-F3G) and I have tried to burn Rewitable DVDs with my burner but it was not regognise the Imation DVD-RW and Verbatim DVD+RW medias. Seems my DVD-RAM drive does not support these type of medias at all, right? By the way my ODD FRU P/N is: 92P6110

according to it, it can burn the DVD-RW at 2 x.

Hi Drbobdog, there shouldn't be a compatibility with Android OS 2.2.3. There may be a compatability with the device itself.

Compatibility issues with Final Cut Express and Final Cut Pro

I'm getting ready to edit a project and I was wondering if there are any compatibility issues with Final Cut Express and Final Cut Pro. I've never used Express put I assume I would be able to make cuts, simple effects and titles. Is this correct.
If I transfer project files from one platform to the other will i run into any issues?

Apple Remote Desktop is off be default. It has to be enabled for some one to be able to remotely connect to the computer. And then, you still have to have a user name and password on the computer to remotely connect with.
If you want to see if remote access has is enabled for Apple Remote Desktop; you can find the setting in, Apple Menu, System Prefrences, Sharing. If it's enabled, Remote Management or Screen Sharing will be checked.
Beucase Apple Remote Desktop Agent is part of the Mac Operating System; even if your not using it, Apple Software Updates will from time to time offer updates for ARD Agent. Software Updates can some times be stacked ontop of each other; so chosing not to install an update, can mean other updates you may want may not be offered. At least until you install the updates those updates require. Also software updates can improve the security of your computer.

Okay. I got it working again by setting it up as a new phone instead of just syncing. Then I backed up. All is good today.

OSX 10.9.1 Compatibility issue with Sharp Aquos PN-L702B and PN-L802B

I have Mac Mini's connected to the Sharp Aquos PN-L702B and PN-L802B touch screens and after updating to 10.9.1 am experiencing what appears to be a compatibility issue with the Sharp TPM driver and the OSX 10.9.1.
Everything works perfectly previously on 10.8.4 and 10.8.5. I did not test on 10.9.0 as I went straight to 10.9.1. Anyone else having this problem? Any thoughts on resolution?

OK so perserverance seems to have helped here - i used the cmd R function on start up to get to the page where i can re install OS X Lion - Safari now working.
However i have Office 2011 for MAC and now Excel wont start so i will post on another thread for help with this

Compatibility issues with mac OS - Lightroom 4 works where CS5 won't

Hope someone can shed some light on this issue...
I tried installing Lightroom 4 on Mac OS 10.6.1 (which is currently running CS5 without issues) but the specs call for OS 10.6.8 or later (10.7). When I updated my OS to 10.6.8, none of my CS5 apps work! They encounter launch errors - InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver... only Photoshop seems to work. So, I reverted back to OS 10.6.1 and all the programs function. Is Adobe working on a solution to fix this issue? I see with the forums that several other users have noted the same issue with CS5 not working in the OS 10.6.8 environment. I don't want to upgrade my OS just to have Lightroom function, but none the CS apps. I was thinking of partitioning my HD to load both OS, but that shouldn't be the workaround. I am very disappointed that I've purchased Lightroom 4 and now am unable to use it due to compatibility issues with the OS with the rest of CS5.0.

Pixelzboy are you receiving any specific errors when launching your applications under 10.6.8? CS5 should work just fine with 10.6.8 as well as 10.7.3. You may also want to post to the product specific forums with your launch errors as the users in those forums will be more familiar with troubleshooting steps specific to those products.

I want to configure the ERP MA (3.3.1077.2) for SAP on ILM 2007 in order to synchronize passwords between AD and SAP. I have several instances of SAP. The SAP versions are as follow:

SAP BI 7.1 7.01 - 64bi

Older versions of Cisco Connect for Mac computers have compatibility issues with the latest release of Mac OS X (10.7 “Lion”). Only Cisco Connect versions 1.4.11222 and newer are compatible with the Lion operating system.
