Multi Plnd Order to Single Process Order

We have implemented Process Industry in our organisation (PP-PI).
Can we convert MULTIPLE planned order to SINGLE process order ? How?
If 'No' then what is the reason behind it?

But going furhter in the scenario as under:
1) FERT, Strategy: 20 Make-to-Order
    Ind/Collective: 2 Collective Only,
    MRP Type: M0,
    Lot Size: MB,
    Procurement: Inhouse Production
   FERT has BOM which include HALB, VERP
   HALB has BOM which include ROH & VERP
2) Sales Order Entered
    Line: 10 FERT: 600000673    Qty: 2000
    Line: 20 FERT: 600000673    Qty:      3 (free qty)
3) Run MPS by MD50 on Sales Order, Line Item 10
    Result: Planned Order for line item 10 is generated
4) Run MRP by MD41 on FERT 600000673
    Result: Second Planned for line item 20 is also generated
Requirement:
Can we obtain only one planned order for both line items as FERT are same for both lines ?

Single process order spanning over multiple days...

Hi All -
My scenario is as follows:
I have a semi FG C going into multiple FGs A and B.
Receipts for A and B create dependent requirements for C on different days of a week. It would always be 2 continous days, Monday-tues or Tue-Wed and so on.
My lot size period type is "Days - 1." So when I run PPDS heuristic, the system creates 2 planned orders to cover the 2 different dependent requirements since my period bucket is days - 1.
We would want only 1 planned order for semi FG C which spans over 2 days of the week. To achieve this, what I did is change the lot size period type to Week-1 ( with period factor 1) which would create a single process order on the last day of the week and have the scheduler move the order and align it with the receipt of the FIRST planned order( for A or B).
Is there anyway we can let the system do this for us? Again the requirements can be on Day 1-2,2-3,3-4,4-5 etc...but what we would like is based on when the multiple requirements are, the system create the planned order for C on the day of the requirement of the first receipt( be it A or B).
IF Dep Reqs are on day 2-3, the planned order for C is needed on day 2. If the dep reqs are on 4-5, the planned order for C should be on day 4.
Any inputs will be appreciated.
Also, is there any function in the DS planning board to "Merge" 2 orders?

Hi
Changing to weekly lot size is the best option. It seems your problem is that the process order should get over (end date) before the first requirement. In such a case, you should also maintain a rounding value/fixed lot size in material C. Then process order will be created before the order of A or B (The first of the two) starts. In product view it will show a surplus on the first day and it will get consumed on the next day when B is produced.
Another way is to avoid using period factor so that heuristic creates planned order before the requirement.

AFS-BW Report on Multi Store Orders (MSO)

Hi Everyone,
We have a Sales Doc Type "ZMSO" Multi Store Order and when exploded
creates many "ZSSO" Single Store Orders.
In my BW report i need to show all Unexploaded Multi Store Orders (ZMSO) Quantity and Value.
But in my Sales Cubes i dont find Multi Store Orders, i can find Single Store Orders (ZSSO).
I checked in VBAK and there are Multi Store Orders in this table, then why ONLY the documents with Type = ZMSO not extracted into BW.
Have anyone had this issue ? Any reasons for why we cannot extract Multi Store Orders ?

How to create multi garnishment order for the same garnishment document

Can anyone tell me how to create multi garnishment order for the same garnishment document. I tried to copy the entry in IT0195 but the sequence field is grayed out so it will just delete the old record. What configuration should I do to make this possible?

As far as I got it.
You cannot have multiple Garnishment order but if a need arises you have to maintain it in IT216.
For that follow this path goto PA30->pernr->194->change->Garnishment->adjustment.
Since like order you cannot maintain adjustment also directly.

Copy item categories condtion copier type = firm all plnd orders

we have issue with copy controls we are copying from previous to succeeding document sales order pricing data is copying for return order creation, but when we are changing quantity in return order it's re-determining price as per the scale .
If we want restrict this we have used Cond copier type = "exact copy (copying reference) but it's not solving the issue.
But we will use "firm all plnd order " it's not changing order price, If we change quantity also. It may be solve the issue. But we doubt we can use this are not?
Someone could explain the Cond copier type ="firm all plnd order " means? F1 help is not avail be here. SAP CRM 4.0

yes I can confirm what JouLes wrote. But you can only change what I told you before.
if you can do customizing on anything else, then you should be able to do it here too, there is no authorization object for a specific IMG area or knot. either you have authorization for customizing or not.
Are you in a developement client? In production client it is not possible to do this customizing.

Old cutomer order and plnd order in MD04

in stock/reqmt list there are some customer order and regarding plnd orders, but when i look in to the customer order the respective item is not there. and the respective planned order are not taking the reference of respective customer order.
I want to know the cause of this and how to delete them.

Plnd order to production order

Hi all,
I executed a plng run in PPDS to cover independent requirements. From product view I accessed one of the plnd order and checked conversion indicator. I am trying to convert plnd order into prod order. I refreshed product view, but no new production order number is assigned. It still remains a plnd order. Where am I making mistake?

Also, you can evaluate the Application Log - if it is confirmed that APO System tries to transfer Pl. Orders to R/3 but they get stuck in Queues.

Subcontracting Purchase Order from ECC sent to APO creates a Plnd Order with the same Purchase Order# in APO.
We want to influence the source of supply for this internally APO created planned order.
For this, I would like to know what user exit can be used, I have already looked at
(1) BADI: SOURCE DETERMINATION
(2) CIF INBOUND EXTERNAL PROCUREMENT on APO side.
Any other user exits or has someone worked on this scenario.

Variant Configuration - Unable for converting a Plnd Order to Prdn Order

I followed your instructions but the error is as it is only.
Actually when I am converting Plnd order to Production Order in stock requirement list of Configurable material, its not converting.
the error i am getting is " You cannot make an assignment to make to order stock"
and also i am getting the following information - the component cannot be allocated to an individual stock because make to order production and engineer to order production cannot be executed with this order
a possible cause is that you are trying to create an order with reference to a sales order / project where an account assignment to a sales order / project is not allowed in the settlement profile that is assigned to the chosen order type this is inconsistent
Procedure : Choose another Order type.
Please guide what i have to do for solving the problem.

Converting material PO text from Plnd order to Preq after MRP run

Hello;
I would like to know how is it possible to convert material long text to the Preq after the planned order is converted into Preq after MRP run.
I've checked in the text linkages in SPRO but didn't the option for copy rule for plnd orders to Preq.
Can someone tell me if it's possible, if so how.

Hi
There is no settings in standard for this, but this can be achieved by development. SAP does not provides this functionality in standard SAP because of performance issue. Please refer to SAP note 27136 on this.
To get the text copied, you can ask ABAP programmer to implement Badi MD_CHANGE_MRP_DATA and put a logic to read text from material and copy in PR.

OM: Multi-select order lines to apply hold

We are using Standard Oracle Multi-Select order lines (Ctrl or Shift keys) to apply hold and would like to pop-up an alert when any of the selected lines is having an open delivery. Appreciate any suggestions to handle this requirement. Thanks !

Using a 2-D array Single Process Shared Variable w/ RT FIFO for comm between a Deterministic and non-deterministic loop on an RT Target

Our problem is that we currently use a 2D array to store CAN data on a Real-time Target. The array is 20 elements of 3 byte elements as so:

These values are passed between a Deterministic Timed (DT) loop where they are set and a Non-Deterministic Timed (NDT) loop where they are read and passed into a Network Published Shared Variable (NPSV) for communication across the network to a Host PC. I have insrted an image for illustration, pardon the size.
Currently to pass the data between the DT and NDT loop we are using a Global Variable (GV). To improve the system we have attempted to replace these GVs with Single Process Shared Variables (SPSV) with an RT FIFO enabled.
To create the shared variable I simply right clicked the GV of interest and selected create Shared Variable Node form the drop downs. At this point LabVIEW presented me with a 2D NPSV within a new Library hosted on the RT Target. I then selected this new NPSV from the Project, changed it to a SPSV, and enabled a single element FIFO. This variable was initialized with a default value for the size described above and then used in our code for the DT to NDT communication, and conversion to a corresponding NPSV for sending to the Host.
When I went to run the code I noticed that the variable was in fact 2D, however its size was only 2 elements of three bytes each, in other words only two of the row indices were populated and the other appeared as uninitialized. in addition, this data had no resemblance to the set initilazation value. This was also how the variable was presented on the host side of the network after tranfer into a NPSV.
The peculiar part is that If I change this SPSV to a NPSV and then try to change it back, I receive an error saying the type is not supported for SPSV with an RT FIFO enabled. I have to disable the FIFO (which defeats the entire purpose) in order to successfully compile! I am unclear as to what is the bug in this case. Should I not be allowed to create the original 2D SPSV with a single element RT FIFO enabled without receiving an error? Or if this is okay how do I fix the problems associated with the variable after being allowed to create it?
I have found the following discussion in which a user states “The only limitations for custom controls is the ability to use it with RT FIFO enabled on a network-published shared variable”. Is this also true for SPSV? I have not found any documentation explicitely stating this for SPSV, though it is stated for the NPSVs.

RT FIFOs don't support Multi-Dimensional Arrays, which would corroborate the issues you're seeing. You can break up the 2D array into 1D arrays by reshaping the array, then you'll be able to use the RT FIFO enabled variable, just set the array size to the total number of elements (20*3 = 60).
You can also pass the 2D array via pre-allocated queue, or using a Functional Global. We have a reference example for a circular buffer using Functional Globals here.

is it possible to use all the render service in a single process?, my requirement is to start the process by email or by workspace and the form shud be available in both pdf and html form for the users.Please suggest a way to implement this, really struggling on this.

I guess it depends on how you want to present the choice of html/PDF to the user. One way would be to render the form as HTML for the task, and provide the PDF as an attachment. When they open the task, the form appears in HTML, but they could optionally open the attachment and submit the PDF. This would complete the task, but the HTML form would still be open in Workspace, which would probably confuse the user.
Another way would be to create a dynamic multi-page form - page one asks the user if they want HTML or PDF. When they submit that, the HTML or PDF form is opened. I'm not sure how to implement this. Hopefully other community members have some suggestions.
