Multi plot wave form chart

i am acquiring 16 channels simultaniously scan rate of 1000samples/second.  using chart with single channel (array of data format) i can see 10 sec duration. with multiplot view of least 4 channel i used waveform property but this will not getting 10 sec duration of x. this is showing just like a graph.
how to show my multiplot at least channel in one chart with continous updation....?

i am trying to show the 4 channels of with 1000samples/second. even i am using the chart. i can see only 1 secon of data.
if i try with single channel array of data with out using wave form property with  chart i can see 5 minutes of updattion.
how to see multiple plot atleast 4 channel with 5 minutes of duration?

  • Problem with Wave form chart

    Hi
I used ni daq and displayed a live data values on a  waveform chat ...and also i am  able to save the data as .lvm format .
Now I have to creat two modes to my chart , Live data mode and History mode and show the saved values again on the chart. how to do this ? And also I want to display Auto scale as an icon as shown on the figure . Also I  want  to change the range of the y -axis by using horizontal pointer slide as shown on the figure.
I attached  my code and the front pannel which  I have to implement.

    Hi Cherkose,
for the Autoscale, you can use the property node X Scale>Scale Fit.
When you want to display data from a file, you have to read them first and then make multiplot.
If you want to use different "States" of your programm (either History or Live data) use a state machine or a simple case structure to switch between the states.

  • Wave form chart for different sampling rate

    Hi
    All,
I have to use different sampling rate to get  pressure data. Can I use the waveform chart to monitor the pressure data with time?
If not, what kind of graph should I use?

Different sampling rate than what? A chart or graph can be used. Depends mostly on how you want to update it.

  • Multi plot in chart

    Hello All Engineers,
I have attached a VI with this post.
Here in this VI i have two systems data coming from the field, getting the single value from each system in every second. I want as a result 2 waveform in the output chart but i am getting only single waveform here as a result. Suggest me the modifications in VI.
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi Himanshu,
have you ever looked at the context help, when the mouse is over the terminal of the chart? It clearly says which datatypes result in several plots in the chart: you have to wire a "D array or a cluster.
So simply replace your BuildArray by a Bundle node!

  • Multi plot graph - auxiliary curves

I am in trouble with a multi plot graph. There is a wave chart that I have to plot an auxiliary line when the user clicks on the graphic. I know how to get the initial point and the final point of the auxiliar line. But I don´t know how can I plot this line in the same graph.
    Any ideas, sugestions or examples?
    Thank you in advance

Speaking only for myself, I am not sure about the nature of your request.
Could you please post some code showing an example of what you can do now and a jpg of what you desire.

  • Only first plot of waveform chart has run-time menu

Hello again all you helpful forum-goers!
My multi-plot waveform chart is working decently well, but now for some reason only the first plot in the plot legend displays a run-time customization menu when I click on it while the VI is running (allowing me to select the plot color, etc.).  All the other plots do nothing when I click on them.  I do not have any mouse-down events or filter events of any kind in my VI.  I programmatically set the number of plots and the size of the plot legend, along with each plot's name, y index, and color.  Any ideas as to what might be going on?
    Thanks a bunch as always!

Okay, hopefully this will help get some more thoughts / answers flowing.  I've copied my strip chart from my actual VI into a test VI, and it still exhibits the problem.  On the other hand, I have created a new strip chart from scratch, and it works fine.  I have attached both VIs here for you to see.  My guess is that some property of the first chart is set incorrectly or something, but I cannot figure out which one (and there are so many!).
Any assistance you can give would be appreciated. The challenge is to get the chart in the first VI working (plots other than the first responding to a mouse click to change their color or other attributes), via changing some attribute of the chart (and being able to tell me which one you changed!).
Thank you again for anyone who can look into this.

  • How do you import multi track wav files

How do you import multi track wave files into Logic Pro?
These files are form a Sound Devices 664 mixer.

Is this a 5 or 6 channel single wav file?
I don't believe Logic will import these but can't be 100% sure because I'm not using the very latest version, I'm at 9.1.5 because it's stable. I do know that "SoundTrack Pro" that shipped with the disk version of Logic can export multichannel files so I'm guessing that it may very well open them as well. Soundtrack Pro has been discontinued but if you do have it, make sure it's the latest version.
Or... if you know anyone with the Nuendo DAW, it will open multichannel wavs which you can then export to any format you wish.
Might also want to look at "Reaper" it may well open Multichannel WAV files and has a 30 or 60 day trial license and only costs $60 for a license. An amazing DAW mainly developed by a single individual.

  • Problems in plotting wave in waveform graph

I am trying to plot the wave in wavefrom graph. So to plot the graph i tried to bundle the values that i am getting as per the context help of waveform graph VI. Now according to VI i should have x & delta x value in double 64 bit real format, y should be in wavform data type (y array) (as i want to plot single plot). But the values that i am having, x value in 1D array double 64 bit real format, y value in 2d array double 64 bit real format from my VI named as "Agilent 36570 lvlib.Data Coord Trans Data.vi". I got this VI by adding the driver for Agilent DSA hp 35670A. But finally when i tried to connect the wire from cluster out terminal to input terminal of graph VI its showing error. I have also attached the snapshot of my error so as to clarify my problem. So how should i get rid of this problem.
    Thank you.

A wave form is not like plotting points on an x-y graph. A 1 dimminsion array is a waveform. But we usually want to look at the wave form over time. You have to set two additional values for the waveform.   It is a start time (T0) a sample frequency (delta T) in seconds and the the sampled points of the measured signal.  (1-D array of values)  This will display the waveform vs the correct time . To plot 2 or more signals make the array a 2 dimension array. See attached example vi .

  • Can not see wave form in arrange window  logic 9 Please help

I have been using Logic for 3 months now...mostly just importing old wave files from past protools sessions.  Everything was working fine until I created a new session to record audio.  I record the audio at a nice level...I hit playback...I can hear it fine but I can't see the wave forms.  I can see it in the sample editor.  I've searched around and found the same problem in the past on some forums......they say to trash preferences...  I went to my mac drive...library...preferences  and nothing  I have no files labeled  com.apple.logic.pro  now I'm lost....the funny thing is... when I zoom in horizontal ...the wave form shows but it makes the track way too large.  Any help would be great.  Thanks

    In Logic:  Preferences/Audio
What is the "Recording Delay" parameter set to?
It should be zero, default is zero. If it's set to a positive or negative Logic will often not show the wavforms. If that's it, it's one of the long standing bugs in Logic.

Great conversation. I have a very similar question about the use of the custom JAVA mappings with the LDAP Login process. I want to include an additional (event) step in the login process. Does anyone have an example or experience with a custom Java Class mapping that can use an LDAP attribute (location)  queriing the data to execute an event that populates an RequestCenter OU or Group if the person login location equal say " Argentina" ? Looking for a way to manage / build catalog entitlements during login. Suggestions ?

    Hi Darwin,
We're about to embark on a piece of work with newScale which would be similar to this to support our Multilingual catalogue.  I'll provide any updates I'm able.
    Thanks,

Great, Thanks Anthony ! I hope our bringing up this topic will spark a bit of interest. The Custom Java Mapping  / Directory integration is documented more with RC 9.1. It will be good to hear more about your project and use of Java mappings with LDAP Directories.

  • How can I measure the hertz in a wave form?

How can I measure the hertz in a wave form?

As an example, this is from BBC Technical Requirements for HD material:
    3.1.1 Stereo line-up tones
All stereo tracks must use EBU 1KHz tone (left ident). All tones must be sinusoidal, free of distortion and phase coherent between channels.
Digital Audio Reference level is defined as 18dB below the maximum coding value (-18dBFS) as per EBU recommended practice R68.
    See also:
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/guidelines/dq/pdf/tv/tv_delivery_to_network_programmes_v1.2-2011.pdf
    for full document.
    And for BBC Radio:
Not every Network requires tone. Check the delivery requirements with the commissioning network or click here.
Reference tone, where used, should be at -18dBFS or PPM 4 on A, B and/or M.
If submitting material with reference tone, tone and programme material must be have been monitored and measured through the same technical chain. The level of the tone must be equivalent to 0dBu and no less than 8dB below peak audio level for the programme material.
THE LEVEL OF TONE MUST HAVE A KNOWN RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LEVEL OF THE PROGRAMME MATERIAL AND THIS MUST BE STATED; for example: “Tone at 8dB below peak programme level”.
As a newcomer to digital sound (my background is camera) I confess to being somewhat confused. We are normally told to record at the highest level possible. So for voice podcasts I tend to record at about -6dB below peak for maximum volume, distributeds on MP3 files.
But I can underatand that televison and radio especially for analogue transmission) may have limited headroom, hence the requirement for -18dB peak = 0dBM.
I remember when we first rented out Digital Betacam cameras, some recordists were recording almost everything OVER -18dBM.
I suspect that until we have an all-digital world, these requiremnents will still be in place.
Many thanks to all. It's a ghreat community!

  • Express XY Graph Multi-plot Cursor point

    Hi,
In mixed signal graph >> Property >> Cursors Tab >> Enable Allow dragging here if we select Multi-plot, it will show X scale and all Y-scale value in Cursor legend.
How can I get these same options in Express XY Graph?
    Sivaraj M.S
    CLD

You need to use a property node and find the curser position and then plot those points in a seperate xy plot (only it will be one point instead of an array). You will still have to plot it as an array of one point.

  • Mixed Signal Graph: Cursor Position Property for Multi-Plot Cursor

I'm working 6 waveforms on 3 different plot areas in a mixed signal graph in LV2009.  When I try to pull the Cursor.PosY property from my cursor (in which Watch All Plots is True, and is set to Multi-Plot in the graph properties), it returns the value of only the first plot in the cluster of waveforms fed into the graph.  I've tried changing the active plot, active plot area, nothing changes.  I am able to retrieve each value via the cursor legend, but I cannot pull each of those values into another portion of my program.  Also, I noticed that when setting events in an event structure, any events relating to a cursor drag aren't present as they are in a waveform graph.  My workaround is to create an indicator for the Cursor.PosX property and monitor when that value changes, but I feel there should be an easier way.  Any help is appreciated.
    Thank you in advance!

    Jeanius,
I am not quite sure why the cursor pos in the Wavegraph reference does not change when you change the active plot, but if you grab a reference to the specific cursor and then change the active plot things you receive the expected behavior.

  • LabVIEW crashes when you run a VI that contains a mixed signal graph with a multi-plot cursor.

Hello, LV 8.2.1 notes indicates the following bug fix:
43SAIR2A  Fixed an issue where LabVIEW crashes when you run a VI that contains a mixed signal graph with a multi-plot cursor.
I am running this version, and still have this behavior.  Is there anything I may be missing, and/or certain circumstances that may still be causing this?
    thanks in advance,
    Darren

    Darren:
I looked at the CAR ID that you mentioned and the issue has been resolved in LabVIEW 8.2.1. To verify something similar, I ran the attached VI and things worked just fine. Please feel free to send me the steps to follow to reproduce the issue you are running into in 8.2.1.
