Multi SCO 6 not downloading in eLearning Suite 6?

I downloaded and installed eLearning Suite 6 which includes Multi SCO packager 6 today on my MacBook.  I cannot find where it installed Multi SCO 6 anywhere.  It shows everything else and I need Multi SCO 6.  That was one of the reasons I needed to upgrade from eLearning Ste 2.5.  Can anyone help me understand why I can't see it in my Applications?
Thanks

In Captivate, look under the File > New... Menu items.
You should see one there that mentions Multi SCO.

  • Multi SCO modules not playing automatically...

    Hi,
I have created a multi-SCO using Aggregator. However the modules are not playing automatically. When the first module is over, the LMS goes to the second module automatically however throws a "HTTP Status 404-404 (NOT FOUND)" error screen. However when I click the second module on the TOC, it plays. How do I get all the modules to play automatically one after another?
Please help. Please reply to my email address below.

  • Multi-Pass shows not downloading

    Hello,
I have a Multi-Pass that says I have seven episodes left of a TV show, however, I see a month of episodes available and have not recieved any download e-mails for the episodes and when I try to download them, I am charged for them. This happened with the new year (I purchased the Multi-Pass in December 2011, some shows downloaded, now none have in 2012).

I'm pretty sure that last night's show was dated one day back and that the guest was Vali Nasr who should have been Tuesday night's guest, not Chris Paine who should have been last night's guest, but I could be misremembering.

  • Are the eLearning Suite Extensions available for separate download?

I'm looking for the eLearning suite extensions to build learning interactions. I just upgraded to Design Premium CS5.5 and would very much like to download (hopefully) or buy these extensions to help create and extend the built-in learning interactions.
I called Adobe and they suggested that I post this question here...
If this isn't available, perhaps Adobe would consider offering these - especially for those of us who have not purchased the eLearning Suite.
Thanks in advance for any information.
    Steve

Thank you Barry, RIFerrarr, Allan, BDAqua and K Shaffer for your kind and informative answers to such bad and poorly made question. What I asked was not even close to what I had in mind. Please excuse me.
I wouldn't mention it again but now I feel compelled to explain what I really needed: Perhaps I am just dreaming but I remember seeing a long time ago a chart/table with the technical specifications (and I believe expansion/upgrade capabilities) including dates of different systems, including mine, in the main Apple website. Obviously that table/chart is not there anymore (obviously they only feature current models,) and I was hoping that someone had saved such tables/charts. I have found something similar (hardware only) in www.everymac.com but it is nothing like what I saw a long time ago.
Now, what I would also like to find, if it exists at all, is a table/chart with the latest updates available of Apple-developed-software (both factory installed and purchased separately) that can run natively by OS version (and in my case hardware as some of my systems are PPC.) I am sure I could still find the information if I dig app by app and page by page, but I have not found anything comprehensive. Finally, I would also like to find the same comprehensive information for security patches and firmware updates, again all in one place. That way I (or anyone) could simply go and verify manually and easily what is possible to run on my (her/his) different system(s) (I also have Intel based systems.)
I am very embarrassed about my question, but again, thank you all for your patience and for making a huge effort to answer it. Finally, thank you for teaching me new things, among other things that I can indeed trust Apple software update (if the log files are not corrupted, I assume,) and that there is a reliable option today for Safari 5.0.6 for Leopard (PPC)
    Cheers,
    Alkan

  • ELearning Suite 2 - Presenter will not activate but the rest of the suite is activated?

In late December, I purchased eLearning Suite 2.  After many hours of setting up eLearning Suite 2 in Win 7/Office 2010 32-bit, I discovered that Presenter and Captivate do not render fonts well.  So, I built an XP partition and installed eLearning Suite 2.  I used it the next day with no problem and I was quite pleased with the font rendering.
Tonight, Presenter has flipped to "Trial" and will not accept the eLearning Suite's serial number.  I was using Photoshop at the same time and it was activated.  I then tried Captivate, it is activated.  So, why has Presenter decided that it does not want to remain activated?  I purchased the suite for Presenter and Captivate.  I own CS5 Master Collection, Acrobat X, and CS4 Web so I really did not need another copy of Acrobat, Dreamweaver, or Photoshop.  However, having all of the products that I needed in eLearning suite 2 came in handy in my XP build.  I do not have any of my other Adobe products installed on the XP partition.
    Any thoughts or solutions?

Please have a look at the following post, this might solve your issue

  • OT: Adobe eLearning Suite 2.5 with my Production Premium Suite CS55

    Hey gang,
I already have the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Production Premium suite but I realized I need Dreamweaver now.  I also would like Captivate (not available in other suites) and it seems I can upgrade from my current to suite to a "Adobe eLearning Suite 2.5" for $399 that has both programs and sounds reasonable to me.  That eLearning Suite has already a lot of the programs from my ProPro suite.   Will that cause any problems for installation when I buy it as a download or will it just know that I already have version of Photoshop,  Acrobat X etc... already installed.   Sorry, if this sounds dumb but I don't know how these two suites would interact.
    cheers,
    Peter

Here's the answer to add to the knowledge base on this group.
I bought/downloaded the eLearning Suite 2.5 and I tried to install it.   Of course it first asked for the suite serial # that worked, but then it asked for a serial # of a valid upgrade product.  One had to select a product from the list but the Creative Suite 5.5 Production Premium was not in the list and my serial # from it did not work when entered with any other product.
When you go to click on the buy button for the eLearning Suite 2.5, it gives you option to upgrade with CS55 Pro Prem.  Though in the "Buying guide : Upgrade eligibility tab", the suite is not mentioned.    http://www.adobe.com/products/elearningsuite/buying-guide-new.displayTab2.html
Strangely enough, I did buy Photoshop CS2 separately a long time ago and that serial # was recognized as the upgrade product during the installation process.  I did not carry through with that installation because of these new impending "1 back" upgrade policies, so I phoned Adobe and they gave me a new serial # for the eLearning suite and I didn't require a secondary upgrade number.  8-)
During installation, it showed me a dialog box of things already installed  (i.e.  Photoshop, Audition).    Needless to say, everything is now installed and everything works like a charm.
The reason why I bought this suite is because I wanted Captivate and it is not in the Master Collection (I thought as an upgrade possibility) and I really need Dreamwaver as well.
    cheers,
    Peter

  • Upgrade from CS5 Web Premium to eLearning Suite 2

Currently, i'm using CS5 Web Premium but plan to upgade to eLearning Suite 2. As far as i concern, there are 2 software in CS5 web premium not available in eLearning Suite 2 (Fireworks CS5 and Illustrator CS5). My question is will these 2 software (Fireworks CS5 and Illustrator CS5) available once i upgrade to eLearning Suite 2?

Just received the eLearning Suite 2 serial number from Adobe yesterday. After install it as per your instruction, got some error during installation and Coursebuilder for Dreamweaver not showing up. I'm using the files that i downloaded from Adobe website. I uninstall both eLearning Suite 2 and CS5 Web Premium and then reinstall back the eLearning Suite 2. Unfortunately the Coursebuilder function still not available but the folder exist(C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe CourseBuilder 6). I notice that the "Repair Coursebuilder" function available in eLearning Suite 1 but not in eLearning Suite 2. Kindly advice.

  • Adobe eLearning Suite 2 Workflows link in Windows START Menu fails

I just recently purchased the Adobe eLearning Suite 2 and I get an error message when I click on the following link:
Start - All Programs - Adobe eLearning Suite 2 - Adobe eLearning Suite 2 Workflows
Error message is within an Adobe Air dialog box - This installation of this application is damaged.  Try re-installing or contacting the publisher for assistance.
    The link points to: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe eLearning Suite 2 Workflows\en_US\Main.exe"
My first question is: What happens when you click on this link?  Is there any utility behind it that will help me in my workflows?  Am I wasting my time to try and find out what this link does?
I reached out to technical support and after several calls and being tossed around to several departments, they ultimately said my version of Windows was not supported by eLearning Suite 2.  One guy (Application Specific queue) said he tried it on his machine and got the same error but he couldn't help me because it was an installation issue and that I would have to open a sevice contract ($40.00) to get help with this problem and dumped me back to the installation folks who told me my machine was not supported.  What the??
I found the support page for the suite and it just says "Windows 7."   I opened up a CHAT dialog box on the same page and that person "Scott" told me that all versions of Windows 7 are supported for the suite.
I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64bit on my PC.  The eLearing Suite 2 website says the system requirements support "Windows 7."  My assumption is that the suite is supported on my machine.
My next question now is: Is my Windows 7 version supported (Yes or No)?  If so, then why doesn't the above mention link work?
If anyone has any insight, I'd appreciate your help.

I have tried the above solution to no avail. It seems the root cause of the problem is incompatibility with the new version of AIR
Here's a link to another thread with the same problem
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/677258
Surely a multimillion dollar company like Adobe which is trying to be very customer orientated can afford to get the original creator of Workflows to provide an updated version of the program which will work with the latest version of AIR

  • ELearning Suite dead?

I just looked on Adobe TV for the videos Adobe had there on Captivate  4 and they are gone. Searching Adobe's web site there is very little  there.
Could be because eLearning Suite is CS4 centric and we are now in a CS5 world.
Go to http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/compare/ and you will not see the eLearning Suite CS5. In fact finding the eLearning Suite on Adobe's site is not easy. If you don't know about it your not going to learn about it here.
Glad I bought the stand alone Captivate 4 and not the eLearning Suite (see my comments on the captivate forum, Feb. 2009). I would not recommend buying the eLearning Suite CS4 at this time . But then I never have.
My opinion: Adobe - Great products , on the eLearning side poor marketing , overall useless   tech support.
    Me venting

Steve I do disagree with you that the eLS needs all the other components to be finnished first. I was a product manager in a past life. That's like the DW product manager saying that Flash has to be finished before DW can be released. All the suite products need to come together at the same time and they can.
I was on the beta cycle for eLS 1. If there was a beta cycle for some upcoming eLS 2 I would be on that too. But I wouldn't be allowed to tell you I was. cough
It might seem illogical to you, but form my viewpoint, it is best for the eLS to be out of synch because the eLS versions of Flash, DW, Device Central, PhotoShop, SoundBooth and Presenter all have customizations that do not exist in the other CSx suites.
I do agree that the eLS may be released in a few months but thats unfair to customers that want to make an early decession on which Suite to go with.
That is definitely a pain. But as customers, it is in your (and my) best interests to keep your ear to the ground about product releases, and to keep in mind 'normal' release cycles - e.g. Adobe runs on a pretty consistent 18 month cycle of major releases... corporate budget cycles don't really run in sync with Adobe's own cycle ...
Adobe needs to either add the eLS to the rest of the suites or drop it. " http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/compare/ "
BTW Steve you are always positive and helpful. Don't stop and become a cynic like me.
Oh I have my fair share of cynicism

  • Multi-SCO Packager is not included in Adobe Captivate 6?

I justed downloaded Adobe Captivate 6, and installed it as a trial. I didn't find the Multi-SCO Packager. So it was still not included in Adobe Captivate 6?

Passing no judgement on whether this alignment was a good idea or not...do then consider the eLearning Suite for your next upgrade if the packager is indeed important. HOWEVER, be sure it is - it's a nice tool for easing the upload of many lessons into the LMS...but it does NOT automate Sequencing, which is the somewhat automatic transition between lessons based, as far as I know. It's simply a tool for bundling several separate SCORM packages into one .zip. For instance, in our LMS, uploading a SCORM package made with the Multi-SCO Packager saves time, but results in several separate lessons that have to be individually launched from the LMS anyway...
So you may not be missing out on much
NOW, having the Aggregator suppor Sequencing, THAT would be cool!

  • Adobe eLearning suite 6.1 extended trial for Partners - Serial Number not working

    Greetings from Greece,
We are new Adobe Certified Resellers. I was informed that via the Adobe Partner Connection portal I can install an NFR extended trial copy of Adobe eLearning suite 6.1 for demo and training purposes. So I downloaded this software (version 6.1 WIN) from the website above but the serial number provided on the same page is not working with the message "The serial number you entered is invalid. Please try again. If the problem persists contact support".I am sure that I am typing the correct one (as I find it on the web page), tried several times, also tried copy-paste to be sure.
Please advise. Thank you in advance.

    Hi Maria,
I would request to email your concern and details at : [email protected] and they will be able to help you with this.

  • Captivate - Multi SCO Packager does not open

eLearning 6.1 was installed on several machines, but neither one could get SCORM to work. From Start > All Programs > Adobe eLearning Suite 6.1 > Multi SCO Packager, it opened a gray empty window. Same problem if I opened from Captivate File > New Porject > Multi SCO Packager. I installed Captivate 6 and Captivate 7 on different machines, I still got the same issue. eLearning6.1/Captivate had the latest updates as well as Windows 7 64-bit SP1.
How to fix this? Please help.

Thanks RodWard, here is a screenshot. The Adobe menu shows the content, but the New Course and Publish Course are inactive.

  • Need a download link for eLearning suite 2.0

I have a reguistered version of eLearning suite 2.0
My computer crashed big time, and I lost everything.
It was bought by our purchasing dept, and I do not know the order# (therefore Adobe support will not help).
Does anyone have a link to version 2.0 that I can download the "trial" version, and then enter my key to activate?

My understanding is that these are the genuine articles - although the links appear to be to files on the prodesigntools website I believe they actually redirect to the files on the Adobe server, though do check.

  • Problems downloading eLearning Suite subscription

    Hi,
I had a trial version of Adobe Captivate which worked fine. I decided to purchase a year subscription to the eLearning Suite (my laptop would not download the trial version of the eLearning Suite and I requested a cd but it never came).
I purchased the eLearning Suite subscription in April and I cannot download it. The Akamai tool does not work at all - keeps telling me to save the file somewhere else (I already worked with my IT department and they confirmed I had the ability to download (admin rights) and the space - it wouldnt work. I have used the alternate method 4 times and it downloads the supporting guides and pdfs but NOT the product. It also stalls and goes blank then does not respond every download (I am using Firefox).  I am currently trying to download the .7z file at its 20 minutes in and only 38% downloaded (I am in an office on a hardwired LAN).
I got a partial download of files earlier this week but everytime I tried to open them it stated it was unauthorized and not licensed and my license number was not recognizable - then it jammed my entire laptop. As a result I de-installed everything and started over.
Something definitely isn't working. I have had it for a month and havent been able to launch it. Any ideas on something I can check cause my IT folks have no idea why its not working wah

Hi –I have Microsoft Windows XP version 2002 service pack 3.
I am downloading from www.adobe.com<http://www.adobe.com> via “my purchases” (there is a download button to the right of the subscription). The Akamai thing won’t download at all so I am using the “alternate method”.  It downloads into Firefox (I can see both files), I save them to a folder(see screen shot below) – I have tried various folders as well as launching from the site, saving and launching etc etc.
    cid:[email protected]
Then I try and launch the .exe file and this happens and nothing else it just sits there (stuff seems to get extracted but it’s just the pdf files or a payload file? If I try and hit cancel it freezes everything. I am sad ☹

  • New to eLearning Suite 2.5 (not new to DW and FL)

As the title says, I am new to the eLearning Suite 2.5 but I have a few years under my belt with Dreamweaver and Flash.
My goal is to produce a simple, 3 lesson SCORM compliant course and I am uncertain how to begin the actual technical side of the production (I've already storyboarded, etc.), hence the few statements/questions below.
I think that I begin by creating the main contents page and the 3 lessons individually in Captivate (using whatever sources I create either in Powerpoint, Captivate, Flash, etc.).
Then I tie them together into a course using the Adobe Multi Sco Packager 2.
Finally I upload the package to my LMS.
    Are these assumptions correct?
Where would Dreamweaver with its eLearning Templates and CourseBuilder interactions come in?
I guess I am in need of a step by step explanation and I am more than willing to buy a book(s) and/or read through a website that outlines the complete process from start to finish if they exist. I have been unable to find tutorials other than those which demonstrate the new things in Captivate 5.5, etc.

In my view, yes, Dreamweaver is for web (or elearning course) development using HTML. CSS, JavaScript, and other related scripting languages.  It has no compiler for ActionScript like Flash does, so there's little point writing AS code there.
If you want to get into HTML5, then Dreamweaver is going to be very useful.
However, in several years of elearning development now, I've found Captivate and Flash are pretty much all I need.
