Multi screen support

I'm running MacBook Pro 15' (Late 2008)
Processor: 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 4GB 1067 Mhz DDR3
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT 256MB
Since installing Yosemite my Apple LCD Cinema display has gone nuts. It can only hold a single window in focus all others dissolve into millions of fragments. The only way to get an application to come back to focus is to select it as the active window.
What's wrong with this picture?

I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with your external display after upgrading to Yosemite. I also apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact nature of the issue you are describing. JDeveloper JDEV9i_902 menus do not appear correctly on multi-screen under Windows 200

Using JDeveloper on Windows 2000 via extended desktop with Matrox dual-head support and Windows extended multi-screen support menus in JD are displayed biased towards the primary desktop screen, this behaviour makes using the product quite difficult in this environment.

I've investigated this issue further, and talked to some of our
development staff.
There are three known issues here:
1. regular menus are not right justified if the client is
in the window to the right of the deafult monitor.
2. Dockable windows cannot be freely positioned
3. Context menus sometimes appear on the wrong monitor.
issue #1 is fixed in 1.3.1_04
isses #2 and #3 are not JDK related, and are now fixed in the 9.0.3
builds.
Unfortunately, we do not certify upgrading the JDK to 1.3.1_04 - there
are some other display-related issues that this drop causes, and we can't
risk product destabilization at this stage.
However, I do have a workaround for you for #1.
The issue only occurs if the secondary monitor is placed to the right
of the primary monitor. If you use the windows control panel (right click settings on
desktop) and change the primary monitor, then the problem goes away.
Hope this satisfactorily resolves your dual-head problems.

Multi Language Support Setup

Hi Gurus,
We have currently upgraded from 11i to R12.1.2 and we have decided to USE MLS & NLS(Multi Language Support) for the very 1st time.We have 4 Languages (American,Spanish,French,Portuguese) so when we query for data in tl tables(apterms_tl,ra_terms_tl,fnd_responsibility_tl) we get four records for a single term_id because we are using 4 languages so we need to keep a language join. What I am doing is
Select * from ap_terms_tl where agent_id = 5 and language = USERENV('LANG'); which returns only one row with US as the language. Here is a sceneario where I am struck I want to see data in a different language like Spanish or french or Portuguese so how can i achieve that. what i am trying to do is
ALTER SESSION SET NLS_LANGUAGE = 'BRAZILIAN PORTUGUESE'; and then querying for
Select * from ap_terms_tl where agent_id = 5 and language = USERENV('LANG'); i get data in Portuguese. How can we achieve this from user level perspective. like when we register a Canadian USER and he wants to see American and vice -verse.

Here is what we are trying to achieve When a user from Canada login into Oracle Applications and runs a request set or a concurrent Program he has to see the output in Canadian Language Responsibility this should be done dynamically(changing the Language). You have give me a scenario like changing the preferences and setting the session languages can we dot it dynamically like as soon as the user logs in from Canada his session Language should be set to Canada Language.
I am just waiting for some help from the gurus.
Help would be highly appreciated.

Hi Hussien,
I able to see the languages in the tables and when i alter the session and I able to see the data in that particular Language.Even i log-in into oracle applications and click on Preferences and change the session Language Other than US i can see the screens in a different Language.Is there anything we can't do dynamically instead of user signing into Oracle Applications and change his session Language.
Like when the user logs-in from Canada then he can automatically see his country language.

Multi Language support for lost password management in OAM

We are trying to implement lost password management with multi-language support. We have updated lpm_changepwd.xsl for UI changes. Some of the text on the password change screen come for the lpm_changepwd.xsl. How can we have the text on the password change screen in multiple language?

Was able to do it by adding new files to the shared folder and updating the style in the lang folder to point to the new files.

Multi Language Support in OBI

Hi all
I need to implement Multi Language Support in OBI Reporting(For Chinese Clients)
We are using Oracle Apps as Source with Single Sign-On, so there will be only one logon screen for all, and it will first redirect me to Apps and from there it will connect me to OBI and there wont be any Login Screen for Answers and I cant select the Language option.
I know the Externalizing Presentation Tables and Loading data through CSV file, but how to set the Language option from Apps Screen.
Plz dont advice "Implementing Multi Language Support in Normal OBI"

Hi Anand,
You should create an initialization block, in which you check the language of the logged in user. The user who logs into Oracle BI EE can be found in the fnd_user table. Then you should be able to verify the language of the logged in user.

ASIO Multi-Client Support - Feature Request

When AA 3 opens an ASIO device, it hogs takes possession of the whole device, even though some device drivers are built for multi-client support. Other audio applications that allow for this functionality have preference screens built in with which you can choose the individual channels that will be used by the software - if a series of channels is not in use by that one application, then another audio application can utilize the unused ports.
For example, I may choose to activate and use digital output channels 1-8 of an RME FireFace in Sonar as VSTi outputs, do a loopback in the RME TotalMix mixer, and then choose to use those same inputs to record into Reaper. As long as I have only activated the 8 outputs in Sonar and the 8 inputs in Reaper, everything is copacetic.
One can also use the pairs of outputs and split these multi-client interfaces into two halves (or any division, really) and have quite a bit of versatility - the only caveat being that there can only be a single word-clock (sample rate) for everything.
If the developers could see fit to implement this in the next version, it would be nice. I would like to get down to using just Reaper and AA and this recognition of multi-client capability would certainly help that cause.

OEM is not multi-screen friendly using Windows 2000 / Matrox

Using Matrox Dual-Head support for multi-screen (extended desktop) on Windows 2000, Oracle Enterprise Manager does not show menu dropdowns if the OEM window is moved of the primary desktop screen.

I've been seeing a similar problems for some time now
with my multi-monitor setup under windows2000 - and Jdeveloper
- maybe this fix will be good for OEM too?
(my secondary monitor is on the right hand side)

So, to exploit this in Jdeveloper, you can
change the used JDK version. I downloaded the JDK from sun
and installed it in the default location of c:\jdk1.3.1_04
Then I modified this line in jdev.conf
SetJavaHome c:\jdk1.3.1_04
And releaunched jdeveloper: (ignore the warning box
about OJVM being absent). To verify that the JDK switch
worked, use help-about to see the JDK version
This fixed the problem for me with Jdeveloper 9.0.2
and my development build of 9.0.3.
I think that Jdeveloper 9.0.3 will ship with
this version of the JDK.

My ipod touch's multi screen doesn't work anymore. it won't respond when i touch the screen. all i can do is turn it off and turn it on and play music only with the remote headphones.

[DUPLICATE] Possibility to disable OSX Lion native full screen support?

The newly implemented (v14.0.1 as far as I can tell) support for native OSX Lion fullscreen supports makes it very useless in a multi monitor setup. The old full screen support let me use the fullscreen for Firefox (and not letting window widgets get in the way) and continue using other applications on the other screens.
Is it possible to disable the OSX Lion full screen support? Otherwise I think it would be a welcome addition to the next update.

The newly implemented support (in v14.0.1 as far as I can tell)) for native OSX Lion full screen support makes fullscreen pretty useless in a multi monitor setup. With the previous version it was possible to continue using the other monitors for other tasks.
Is it possible to disable the support in some way to actually have useful fullscreen support again, i.e. the way it worked before v14.0.1? Otherwise such an option is needed in my opinion.

I've built a simple addon that does just that: reverts the old pre-14 Fullscreen behavior. It isn't yet reviewed, so wouldn't show in searches until approved.

Instead of creating multiple forms, 1 in each different language, for the same service, is there any workaround?

Hoan - is your question what are the considerations when creating multiligual catalogs? If so, I can tell you that at other clients I have seen them use a single catalog for one or two languages. For the two langugages, such as Spanish/English, you can create a single catalog with both of them. Once you get to more than two languages, the catalog would get unweildy and is therefore not suggested.

Multi Screen Authoring

How do i find the tablet.css, ipad.css and desktop.css files? I am trying to make my website user friendly for all phones and ipads but cant seem to find the correct files?
Are they files i have to create myself or are they already on my computer somewhere? Also i have watched all of the videos on how to do the multi screen authoring however none of them explain where or how to create the relevant (.css) files?
I am new to this so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry but there's no magic button that can convert your current site's CSS into a responsive one. Start over with a FluidGrid Layout or begin with one of the very popular Responsive Design Frameworks shown below. When you have a layout you like, copy & paste your old site's content into the new one.

Win 8.1. Core language and multi-language support.

HI,
I've used a US developed program with multi-language support for years in Win XT and Win 7. As the program now supports win 8.1. I've upgraded to 8.1. and the new release of the program. However it will not work properly and the reason given is
that my version of 8.1. has a different core language compared with what the program uses and this version is not multi-language supported. Now I wonder if there are various versions of the core language in 8.1. or is the core
language unique, supported by various language packets for menu's, guiding texts, etc. Why do I then need a multi-language supported program? Where can I put this question?

How do you shoot and record videos on iSight? Also, how to do multi screen?

I've never tried using the camera. Just didn't have a need for it, but I'm gonna start making videos. How do I do this? I'm stupid=(

For one thing, please post ONE question per thread.
In answer to your question, the iSight wasn't really built for shooting video (it's low resolution and the built-in ones are fixed-distance, so they won't work well for anything more than a few feet away. Nevertheless, you can use something like iVeZeen by Boinx Software to acquire video from the iSight.
As to your second question, what do you mean multi-screen? Multi-screen what?
