Multi Time Zone No Longer Available

I use Outlook 2010 on a Windows 7 machine.
Since upgrading to the new iCloud panel, Microsoft outlook has lost the multi time zone support. Also, appointments seem to be recorded in incorrect time zones.
I do a lot of travel for work, and my outlook is set in EST. I schedule all of my flights to start in the time some where I depart, and end in the time zone where I arrive.  For example, Depart 10AM PST, Arrive 5PM EST.  The iCloud calendar let me enter this, and it worked and synced via iCloud with my phone.  Not it only lets me have a start time zone.
Also, when I used to accept an appointment on my phone, it would keep the correct time zone.  It no longer does.  For example, if someone send me a 10AM PST meeting, I would accept it on my phone, and it would show up in outlook at 1PM EST.  Now when someone sends me a 10AM PST meeting, and I accept it while in PST, it shows up in Outlook at 10AM EST.
This is causing a lot of difficulty with my job and if I can’t find a solution, I may need to go back to syncing to outlook directly and not using the cloud.
Does anyone know why this functionality went away and how to work around it?
Thanks!

Thanks for the response Pondini.  Unfortunately, it didn't work...the only thing I didn't try was this and that's because I'm using Lion and the instructions say Leopard only:
The backups may be corrupted.  Try repairing them, per item C5.
How do I repair in Lion?  Thanks!

  • Databases for Multi Time Zone

    We got two different SQL Server which are running SQL Server 2008 R2 and soon we are upgrading to one SQL Server 2012. Both are running in different time zone
    I been given a task that whether is it possible to publish databases on One Server with different Time Zone( just to reduce the cost).
    we got  1000+ SP's which uses Getdate() and GET date UTC function.
    My Question is that, is it possible to publish databases on a single server with multi Time zone and if yes then how do i manage those.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Agree with the previous comments. The workaround is to use SWITCHOFFSET() function to calculate the time based on a time zone offset.
    The following example uses SWITCHOFFSET to display a different time zone offset than the value stored in the database.
    CREATE TABLE dbo.test
        ColDatetimeoffset datetimeoffset
    GO
    INSERT INTO dbo.test
    VALUES ('1998-09-20 7:45:50.71345 -5:00');
    GO
    SELECT SWITCHOFFSET (ColDatetimeoffset, '-08:00')
    FROM dbo.test;
    GO
    --Returns: 1998-09-20 04:45:50.7134500 -08:00
    SELECT ColDatetimeoffset
    FROM dbo.test;
    --Returns: 1998-09-20 07:45:50.7134500 -05:00

  • Time Capsule no longer available

    I found an error message on my iMac workstation (OSX 10.7.5, Lion) indicating that my Time Capsule (Model A1409) was not available for backup. The TC is not visible using the iMac Airport utility 'No configured base stations can be found'. The Green light is lit on the TC, a hard restart of TC had no effect on the problem.
    The TC is used only as a backup disk, plugged into a port on my Cisco home router. The iMac ethernet is also plugged into the router, iMac wi-fi is turned off. I used Bob Timmons instructions for installing TC in Bridge Mode about a year ago which worked perfectly. Wireless connectivity to TC over my home network still works for Airbook backups.
    I can see the TC in my router’s DHCP table. Using the AirPort Utility Menu; (File , Config other) I can enter the Time Capsule IP found in my router, and password, to access and change TC settings which are as follows;
    There are 6 tabs; Summary, Base Station, Internet, Wireless, Network, and Disks.
    -The internet is set to 'connect using DHCP'.
    -IPv6 is configured 'Automatically', Mode 'Native'.
    -Wireless Network Mode is ‘Off’.
    -Network Router Mode is ‘Off (Bridge Mode)’.
    I’m trying to bring the TC back from being invisible so I can use it again. Appreciate any assistance. I installed and uninstalled bonjour from a network PC in the same timeframe  that backups stopped a couple of months ago, don’t know if this is related.

    If you have not already done so, perform the following checks on your Mac running (10.7.5), (10.8.x) or (10.9.x).
    Open System Preferences (gear icon on the dock)
    Open Network
    Click WiFi on the left, then Advanced at the lower right
    Click the TCP/IP tab
    Make sure that the setting for iPv6 is set to Link Local
    Click OK, then click Apply
    Then do the same for Ethernet / Advanced / TCP/IP tab, etc.
    Click OK, then click Apply
    Restart both the Mac and the Time Capsule to see if the TC will appear in AirPort Utility

  • Real-time effects no longer available after re-install

    I recently blanked my entire system in order to re-install everything clean.  Since then, things that used to work no longer do. I have installed Premiere Pro 1.5.1 + the Matrox RT.X100 Tools, Build 6122.  I've removed the card and installed, un-installed and re-installed twice.  I'm sure I'm doing it correctly.  This is not a hardware compatability issue, as this system has been editing fine for over a year.  Here's what's going wrong...
    1.  First of all, I cannot drag a simple Premiere Cross-Dissolve into the timeline without creating a red area above the effect (meaning the effect needs to be rendered).  That was never the case in the past...Premiere always allowed a real-time dissolve effect.
    2.  When I drag over a Matrox effect (any kind of effect..transition, blur, whatever), it won't appear on the timeline.  That is, I drag it to the spot where I want to apply it and let go, but the effect is not there.  Effects will not "stick" to the timeline nor to clips in the timeline.
    Any clues?  Thanks.

    Yes, as Jeff, er-r Phil , says, the Rendering (red line to green) of any Transition in pure PrPro has always been the case. The RT aspect is part of the Matrox card.
    Good luck,

  • Time Capsule No Longer Available/Backing Up Not Working

    Hi,
    I have a MBP (this year's 15") running the latest verion of Lion.  I've been using it with a Netgear router to connect to the Internet and also have the latest 2TB Time Capsule which is used strictly for Time Machine backups.
    Never had a problem with this setup until a few weeks ago.  My Time Machine backups are no longer working.  When I try to run it I receive this message:
    "Time Machine could not complete the backup.  The backup disc image "/Volumes/(Scott Gross's Time Ca/Scott's MacBook Pro.sparsebundle" could not be accessed (error -1).
    I"ve tried unplugging Time Capsule but that didn't seem to help too much.  Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
    Happy Thanksgiving!

    Unfortunately, not much to go on here. There are any of  twenty different reasons why backups are not occurring, and no shortcuts that I know of to find out why.

    The item may have been removed either permanently or temporarily between now and when you last downloaded it. There may be an problem with the App Store or your connection to it. Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears? Try waiting a couple of hours and trying again.

  • Time Capsule: "Network name no longer available" error when copying files

    Hi!
    I've come upon this error when trying to copy files from my PC to Time Capsule:
    "Network name no longer available".
    This seems to happen only on folders that have image sequences in them (.sgi image sequences).
    I was planning on transferring the content of my PCs hard drive to Time-Machine in order to smooth out the migration from my old PC to my new MBP but I have to say that I'm a little less confident about using TC as a storage space for my valuable files.
    Is there a work around for this? I have tons of folders with .sgi image sequences and it would be a real shame not to be able to transfer them to Time Capsule.
    Please help!

    Hi… I don’t think there should be any such limitation for the file transfer wirelessly. However it can be issue, as you wired is connect at a speed of 100 Mbps and wireless connects to the max at 54 Mbps. Try to upgrade the firmware. Also try reducing Fragmentation Threshold and RTS threshold by 40 each under advance wireless settings on the router. Go to www.speedguide.net, and download the TCP optimizer. Try reducing the MTU of your wireless adapter. Please Revert Back, even if this resolves your issue.

  • With Time Zone Support on Calendar no longer automatically adjust to the local timezone.

    Apples support forums are riddled with Discussions about problems with being able to dicate a specific time zone for appointments. Many of these postings, as well as their corresponding solutions, are unnecessarily lenghtly when the root cause of all of this is a one very simple mistake by Apple. Right now to be able to assign a specifc timezone for an appointment using the Calendar app on the iPhone you have to have "Time Zone Support" turned on in Settings. The problem is that when you turn on this feature the Calendar app stops automatically updating the calendar to reflect the local time zone you are in. These are simply two seperate items that have no reason to be tied together. Apple could easily correct almost all of the issues people are having with this topic if it simply split this into two seperate options that users can turn on/off seprately:
    1.) Enter time zone for each appointment. YES/NO
    2.) Adjust Calendar to the local timezone. YES/NO
    It is virturally incomprehensible that Apple has not fixed this. It was clearly a mistake.

    I have this problem too and am frustrated - it's not solving no matter what i do. And now Siri is totally bonkers too on this new software update - can't even pull from my contacts when I ask her to look someone up. What the heck is going on at Apple software? Have they been hiring a bunch of arrogant, crap programmers? I am seriously thinking of not buying an iPhone again after having one for 5 years. So disappointed!!

  • How can I download my issues with Reader's Digest when each time a pop appears and reads " the item you tried to buy is no longer available"?

    I can no longer download my purchased Reader's Digest magazine since August as it requires updating the RD app. So when i try to download the RD app a pop up appears and reads " the item you tried to buy is no longer available". What does this mean and what do I do? I have 2 pending reader's digest issues that needs to be downloaded.

    I don't have an answer for you but it may help to have a look at the "More Like This" section at the far right of this page. Reading those additional threads may get you some idea of the actual issue and how to resolve it. It could be that problems were found with the app and it was temporarily pulled for some reason which may be the reason for the "the item you tried to buy is no longer available" message.

    [FRIENDLY MODERATORS - Please move this post to "Work Opportunities" thanks]
    We have some modules developed in CP5 that are complete and working fine but need to be integrated with a 3rd party proprietary LMS. The course results are not being reported as expected in the LMS and the situation is urgent. I need someone to work on this fulltime until resolved. Top rates.
    Requirements
    Australian/NZ based - you'll need to troubleshoot with our client based in Australia during normal AU working hours. If you're outside AEST time zone, it simply won't work
    Must have expert in-depth experience in Captivate 5 around quiz and reporting integrating into various LMS. Development/scripting skills may be required above and beyond basic CP.
    Urgent - immediate start

  • Exchange Server meetings in Russian time zones as well as names of time zones are incorrect after October 26, 2014

    After October 26, 2014, Exchange Server users who are in Russian time zones may see meeting times incorrect Time Zone-display names may be outdated in OWA.
    RU8 should release in middle of November of this year.
    The RU8 update only updates the “Time Zone Name” http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/3004235
    Time zone display names in OWA will be outdated after October 26, 2014. Meeting times will be updated if you install the 2014 time zone update for Russia (KB 2998527)
    for the Windows Server. Exchange Server 2010 and Exchange Server 2013 rely on Windows for time zone information.
    The actual times will be correct in OWA as long as the Windows OS update is applied: http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2998527
    Note:
    There are multiple components involved this issue.Windows PC O/S update, Windows Server O/S update and Exchange server application update. We need to ensure all the below things are up-to date in-order for this functionality to work properly.
    Windows PC - It should have the latest patch updated.There is no patch that needs to be rolled out for windows PC for this functionality to work.Just ensure that end users are in the latest available patch.
    Windows Server- Ensure that the Windows server is latest update (http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2998527)
    Exchange Server patching-  There is also an Outlook Web Access (OWA) related component to this involving the availability of the latest Russian time zone changes into the OWA display.   Meetings will display correctly in the calendar,
    it is more of a feature issue around time zone display names.  Exchange Server SP3 RU8 will address this, and it will be released in middle November.

    Thanks for the information and its very useful.

  • Help!!!!!  proble with time zone

    Hi!
    Im traying to convert from the time zone that uses in USA to the time we use in Mexico, the diferences it's about 6 hours les, but when I compile the program it returns:
    has protected access in java.util.Calendar
    and I don't Know whats wrong in the program, so, please, can somebody help me and show me the way it has to do it
    thanks
    Lis

    I would use the DateFormat object for your specific locale and time zone.
    For example:Date date = // the Date object
    Locale locale = // your mexican locale object
    DateFormat dateFormat = DateFormat.getDateTimeInstance(
                  DateFormat.LONG, DateFormat.LONG, locale);
    dateFormat.setTimeZone(TimeZone.getTimeZone(yourTimezoneID));
    System.out.println(dateFormat.format(date));If you don't know how to get the locale or time zone you need, the Locale and TimeZone objects contain a list of the available locales and the available TimeZone ids respectively. From these, you can list all possible TimeZone and Locale objects and decide which one is right for your application. If you are physically located in Mexico, your Locale and TimeZone may already be set up properly using Locale.getDefault() and TimeZone.getDefault();
    i.e.Locale[] availableLocales = Locale.getAvailableLocales();
    String[] availableTimeZoneIds = TimeZone.getAvailableIds();
