Multi-touch screen

I have a packard bell with a multi-touch screen, but when using Photoshop CS6 my touch screen doesn't work... is this just settings or prefs i need to adjust?

Hi. This forum is for beginners trying to learn the basics of Photoshop.  I'm moving your question to the Photoshop General Discussion forum for specialized attention to your situation.

Multi touch screen needs calibrated on iPhone 4S.  Anyone know how this is done.

No such thing as calibrating your display.  If restoring your phone as a NEW device (not using backup at all) doesn't resolve your issue, you'll need to take your phone in to Apple for evaluation.

  • Support for Multiple Multi-Touch Screens

    hello,
I have written some code that implements the multi-touch and it has been working fine with just one multi-touch screen.  However, someone using my program with 2 multi-touch screens hooked up is getting no input from the second device.  I did not
see anything documentation referring to more than one multi-touch device, although the existence of hSource in the TOUCHINPUT structure would imply multiple devices are supported.  After searching the forums, I found this post
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/tabletandtouch/thread/9c11871d-945c-4f7b-bdaa-a1b1452959b8/
in which someone stated that 2 multi-touch monitors should work fine, but not with simultaneous input.  Since the post is almost 2 years old, I am wondering if anything has changed, and whether this might be the problem my user is having.  Or is
there some way to tell if it is a driver issue?  I am not using the gesture library, just retrieving data with GetTouchInputInfo.  I'll appreciate if anybody can point me to documentation or mention their experiences with multiple devices.
    thank you.

thank you for your quick reply.  I have gotten a few more details and the problem is not the scenario you suspected.  They are using 1 window spanning 2 multi-touch monitors.  The problem does seem to be related to simultaneous input.  If
they have a finger down on the first monitor, my program does not receive any events from the second monitor.  If they are not pressing down on the first monitor, the input from the second monitor comes through.
Does Windows 7 support simultaneous input from 2 or more multi-touch monitors?  Is there something I have to do so that my program will work correctly?  Or are there driver specific issues, and if so, where can I get help for that?
    thank you.

  • Thinkpad T430s with Multi-touch screen?

I'm currently using a Thinkpad T410-i7 and am considering upgrading to the T430s.
However, I'm interested in the Multi-touch screen option that was available with the T400s/T410s.
Is anyone aware if this option is available in the T430s?

    @ wesleyyin,
    certainly strange. Some questions to help with the diagnostics;
Which TrackPoint cap you you have on your keyboard, soft domed, soft rim or classic domed (the hairy one)?
Can you try disabling the TrackPoint to see the problem goes away?
Anything else laid on top of the system or between screen and keyboard like a thin cloth or something?
    Thanks

  • Does the multi-touch screen make T400s 1/2 lb heavier?

The information on Lenovo's T400s webpage for both models (with and without the multi-touch screen) has no word on the extra weight of the multi-touch screen. It only says "at just 3.91 lbs ..."
However, PC Magazine http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2352820,00.asp says the multi-touch screen makes T400s 1/2 lb heavier. Is this true?

  • Connect to multi touch screen

    Dear,
I would like to connect flash 8 with multi touch screen which
is not like single touch screen (use same event with mouse). The
multi touch screen (iNexio) sent me the API (or SDK). There are 4
    files; CSharedStruct.h, inexio_multi.h, multiDLL.dll, multiDll.lib,
but I do not know how to connect flash 8 to multi touch screen.
Can anyone suggest me how to do it (step-by-step please)? If
flash 8 is not support, what version is support?
Thank you very much in advance.

  • Ipod touch multi touch screen

Hi, I am currently having problems with the multi-touch screen. Whenever I tap on the application with my thumb, it does not respond. I tried to restore it and it is still like this. When I first bought it, the multi-touch screen worked perfectly fine. Do anyone know what's wrong with my ipod touch?

I have the same problem and there are many more like us. Visit this thread:

  • Multi-touch Screen Does Not Respond to Tapper

My Ipod touch 64gb 3G just recently got problems with its multi-touch feature. It's a subtle flaw and I only noticed it while playing Tap Tap Revenge. I used to have 100% scores in some songs but now I can't even get anything above 96% in the same songs.
I observed that while there will be two notes coming down at the same time, one a simple note and the other one, a tapper note, or two concurrent tapper notes, the screen doesn't pick up the two notes, or picks up only the simple note, and drops the tapper note. It used to be able to pick up both just fine.
While playing other apps, I also noticed that there will be times when the same thing happens... while making bubbles in the Spongebob app, there are times when I couldn't make two bubbles at the same time, or when I tap two spots at once for a long time, only one registers a response. On other accounts, the screen would work just fine (i.e.: sliding, tapping two spots quickly).
I did restarting, resetting, re-installing the apps, restoring, but it still doesn't work. I will appreciate any comments on this matter. Thanks.

I just got my unit fresh back from the shop. They fixed it!
They have isolated the problem with my unit and they told me that it was too full (I have 63 gb worth of songs, movies and apps of the 64 gb) and this according to the technician was the reason for my problem. They removed all the contents of my Ipod, I re-installed the bare essentials, and lo and behold, the apps are working perfectly now.
    Thanks for the help!!!

  • Multi-touch screen not recognized

I have a  brand new W510 configured with Windows Ultimate x64.
Within a few hours of running the machine, the touch screen stopped responding.  A reboot fixed that.  This happened several more times, and then rebooting stopped working.
Disabling then re-enabling the USB devices was the next step, and that worked for a while (in computer management/device manager/Universal Serial Bus controllers, right-click and select "disable" then right-click and select "enable").  That stopped working last night.  I upped the response to uninstalling ALL of the usb devices under the "Universal Serial Bus controllers", rebooting, and letting Windows 7 x64 re-install them on boot.  Worked a few times, and now that isn't working.
I'm starting to think that there is a loose connection internally between the multi-touch device controller for the screen and the USB connector, but all of the other device drivers for the W510/Windows 7 x64 combination seem buggy enough that I can't rule out a really buggy driver.
The problem device seems to be listed as an "unknown device" enumerated under the "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" entry in device manager.  Here is a dump of some of the data about that device:

Early on I had a problem earlier with the NEC USB 3.0 Host Controller driver, but the Windows 7 troubleshooter fixed that.  Looking at its log, it looks like it also temporarily fixed the problem with the touch screen USB connection, and that was before I took the steps I outlined above.  Here is the output from that:
Intel(R) 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 3B34 has a driver problem Fixed

Has anybody else had this problem?  I really don't want to have paid a lot extra for a touch-screen that doesn't have drivers capable of making it work reliably.
    Signature goes here.

I would have loved to try the Fn + F6 test, but the machine stopped getting past POST, so I can't even get to the BIOS.  The machine just gives the feel that the bios and a lot of the drivers were pushed to production too early, and still behave a bit like beta-phase software.  My plan is to return the W510 (which I really liked for the few moments it was working) and wait probably six months, then order it again.  By then I hope they will have the drivers and bios issues corrected.  There may also be hardware issues (they had trouble with long ship dates, so I wouldn't be surprised if some of the hardware was also not ready for mass production).  Either way, six months is plenty of time for Lenovo to get it all together.
You would think that this experience would sour me on Lenovo, but (absent some surprise in the refund process), I have to say that Lenovo handled this very well.  They apologized, acknowledged that in my position they might well feel the same way, took responsibility for the problem (including paying for return shipping and arranging UPS pickup) and promised a full refund.  They treated me like they view customers as assets, not annoyances.  Despite my bad experience with the hardware, my experience with the company was sufficiently positive that overall, my chances of order from them again are higher now than they were before this incident.
So bad copy of the hardware, or possibly unstable drivers and bios, plus good customer service and taking responsibility for their mistake = increased customer loyalty.  I'm glad Lenovo understands the formula.  Now I just hope my aging T61 holds out long enough for me to order a W510 *after* they work the bugs out.

I restored the Laptop and  the Touch screen stopped functioning completely I have tried all the available drivers on HP but the Touch screen is not functional, I am running windows 7 64bit Home eddition,
In HP Assistance there is no Driver updates found.
As a last resort i googled and it diverted me to http://www.official-drivers.com/installer/?seed=hp&gclid=CMCi9MDS26wCFcUa6wodmkEt0A which says official site for HP drivers and looks a like HP website and demanding us to pay, is this a HP site and do i have to pay for the latest driver update.
This it the screen shot for device manager.
Can some one guid me through.
    regards

    The problem was resolved,
I did 4 things i am not sure what made it to work
    1) I installed the WACOM driver for touch screen and pen.
    2) Installed win7 SP1 (restarted but not functional)
    3) Installed 10 to 12 HotFix from microsoft site.
    4) I uninstalled the Synaptics Pointing Device Driver.

  • Multi touch screen monitors

I presently have a HP Z620 with 4 monitors (2 video cards).  The monitors are beginning to get a bit old and unreliable as they were originally purchased for my previous PC. I am running win 8.1 Pro.
Is it possible to run 4 touch screen monitors with this PC and operating system?
From what I can find, Microsoft says it should be possible with the correct monitors with correct drivers but can't or won't give any recomendations.
I only need 22" or 23" monitors but I do need 4 of them and if they can be touch screens that would make things operate very nicely.
    Thanks

    Hi Patje.
From the OS perspective, while we are not prioritizing multi-touch capability across multiple monitors, there are some scenarios that should work just fine right now:
One multi-touch monitor and one regular monitorconfigured together.
Two multi-touch monitors (but not with simultaneous input)
Unfortunately, at this time you would need to use your mouse to drag from one monitor across to another. If you had two multi-touch monitors you could drag an object so that it straddles both monitors and then pick it up again on the other monitor. Unfortunately, there's just no way to bridge that physical space between the monitors in a fluid fashion at this time.
Thanks so much for the question. It's interesting to think about this.
    Sincerely,
    Eliot - MSFT

  • Bug on multi touch screen

    iPad 2 multi touch bug
    http://youtu.be/ck-9aYD8u3k
the same happend to me with my iPod Touch 4G some times.
but never happend that on my iPad 2.
im using iOS 5.0.1, with out jailbreak.

Have you tried a reset to see if that helps ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
Also do you have any problems when multi-tasking gestures are turned off ?

  • Particles of dust under the glass of multi-touch screen

    Dear Sir,
I bought iPhone 3G in HK yesterday. After I opened the box and activated my iPhone, I have found 2 dark spots on the middle of screen. At first, I thought they are dead pixels. However, after taking a look carefully, I think they are particle of dust under the glass of touch screen. How come? from manufacturer process? because I just open it from the box.
Is there any warranty from Apple cover this problem?
What is the method you may help me?
Change the new machine or fix it?
Is there anything I can do by myself?

No sir. There is nothing that you can do your best bet is to bring it back to your provider, or if there is a apple store over there bring it back to them. I know that apple will exchange your unit for this issue. It is from the manufacturer process it seems that they do not have a dust free environment. So just exchange it.
