Multi User request in Access Enforcer

Is anyone aware of a user limit in an access enforcer multi user request?
We get errors when we submit  a multi user access enforcer request with more than 25 users.
Thanks

Hi
There is no standard limit even though we advice to keep the user to max of 20 .
The limit depends upon the email content you have configured .
In case in your email notifications you have taken the argument USERID then mulitple user creation request causes issue and the limit gets set to anything between 20-25 , again depending on content of the email .
Thanks

  • User Data Source - Access Enforcer

    Hi,
I currently have my User Details Data Source and Search Data Source in AE pointed to the UME. In the UME I have my requestors and approvers set up. However when I go to raise a request to change a user account and want to search for an SAP user, the search only returns the requestors and approvers set up in the UME and does not show user data from SAP. How can set up AE so that it shows me user data from SAP and requestor/approver data from the UME?
    Thanks,
    Gary

What you can do is... to point your UME to your SAP system,  where you can find all users.....
And keep your configuration of AE the way you have it....
Another way is, to change your configuration of User Details Data Source pointing to SAP.
Youy User Details Data Source have to point to the system that have all the new users....
For example, in my company before giving the SAP access we give LDAP access, so my User Details Data Source  are pointing to my LDAP system.... this way i can find easily the  user that need to request access..
    Hope this help.

  • Access Enforcer (error in creating a request)

    Hi All,
when i am creating a new request in Access Enforcer . After filling alll the details and clicking the submit button it is showing  a error in creating request .Path not found.

    Hello,
You must have to select at least one condition attribute while creating your initiator. It seems initiator condition not meeting the details you are filling in your request. So it is not able to trigger the workflow initiator.
For simple scenario, if you are filling your company details in your request then change your initiator condition attribute to "Company".(Don't include more condition attributes for now). Once it works out then change initiator details back to your requirements.
Please let me know if this will not resolve your issue.
    Thanks

  • Access Enforcer 5.2 open request details including stage.

    Dear All,
We have requirement to pull the open requests in Access Enforcer 5.2, with the information of the stage at which the open request is.
We have a workflow with 5 stages. Now we have requirement to pull the information about open request along with the respective stage in which the request is. In AE 5.2, we can pull the information for open or closed request, but not with stage information for open request.
Please assist is there any alternate way to pull this information. or the java table in which the request details are stored. We have access to database.
    Thanks & Regards,
    GRC Team.

There is a query below that you need to list in the SQL box, but this address varies based upon your support pack.  If you're up to date (or close to) on SPs, enter the following address into your web browser AFTER logging into AE:  http://<server>:<port>/AE/opensql_test.jsp.
Paste the following query into the SQL box:
    SELECT DISTINCT
    WPHST.REQNO,
    WPHST.REQPATHID,
    WPHST.PATHNAME,
    WPHST.STATUS AS REQUEST_STATUS,
    TBLPATHSTAGE.STAGENAME
    FROM
    (VIRSA_AE_RQD_WPHST AS WPHST INNER JOIN VIRSA_AE_WF_PTSTG AS TBLPATHSTAGE ON (WPHST.PATHNAME = TBLPATHSTAGE.PATHNAME) AND (WPHST.CURRENTAPPRVRSEQ = TBLPATHSTAGE.STAGESEQ)) INNER JOIN VIRSA_AE_RQD_WPTRN AS WPTRN ON (TBLPATHSTAGE.STAGENAME = WPTRN.STAGE_NAME) AND (WPHST.REQNO = WPTRN.REQNO)WHERE
    (WPHST.ISCURRENTFLAG = 1) AND ((WPHST.STATUS='OPEN') OR (WPHST.STATUS='HOLD'))

  • Access Enforcer - REMOVE roles/existing roles inoperant

    Hello
After some time using the capability to ADD and REMOVE roles when creating a request on Access Enforcer (using the option 'Existing Roles' to REMOVE), now Access back to the screen to ADD always that we try to access 'Existing Roles'.
So, the function to REMOVE roles are inoperant.
Any ideas what It cold be?

    Hi,
When you open a changing access request it's possible to add new roles and remove existing roles from the user, right?
However, the option to remove roles (which is accessed through the 'existing roles' button) is not working longer.
When that option is accessed, it's not showed anymore the current user's access: the screen returns to the add roles option.
I haven't found any setting for the feature to remove roles and still don't know how that option, previously used in other requests, is not working for anyone else.

  • Validity date issue: Access Enforcer

    Hi All,
There is a request in Access Enforcer wherein there are total 4 stages of approval, the first 2 stages have been properly approved however when the same arrived to the 3rd stage of approval, the validity date for the request was over and therefore the approvers tried to extend the same, but the "more" tab is not appearing and therefore the approvers are not able to approve the request by extensing the validity date.
Can you please help with this issue?
    Thanks
    Vani

    Vani,
Go to the stage level settings for this particular stage via configuration -> workflow -> stage. Change the option of 'Change request content' to 'Yes' and the approver in this stage should be able to change the vailidity dates.

In Addition to my previous response:
I meant to include the following:
Some of the fields that need to be properly defined with attributes are:
System: must have the know SAP system defined here
Role Approver (i presently are using most of the roles without having need for approval; I created a user called NOAPPRV in AE)
Functional Area: need to have all the areas defined that roles will be assigned to
Company: I only have one company so that's an easy one
Some areas I presently do not use but found they must ne coded and coded properly:
           ResponsibilityID:   N/A  (coded as is)
           CommentsMandatory: NO (coded as is)
           Parent Role Owner:   NO
Business Process: NA  (I believe I originally coded N/A and it did not like that)
Sub Process: NA  (again N/A I believe error on me)
Reaffirm Period: presently I am using 0 (zero)
           LastReaffirm: presently using 12/31/9999
    Hope this helps a bit
I wanted to include an attachment with a sample of my Role Import spreadsheet but I'm not sure exactly how to do that; if I figure that out or someone can provide me the process I will include it

  • Access enforcer and User Data Source for HR

We are on Access Enforcer 5.2 - service pack 2:
My problem is that when creating a new request in AE, I able to get a list of all users when I point my User Data Source to either SAP or UME. However when I attempt to create a request whilst pointing the User Data Source at the SAPHR system, I do not get any users back (and we have user set up in the SAP HR system).
I’ve changed the connector to ‘YES’ under the HR System box, I’ve changed the Data Source Type and Details Source Type to point at the SAPHR and still it fails to fetch any users.
I've tried looking at the log, but can't get much out of it.
I would appreciate it, if anyone could provide any assistance.
    Thanks you in advance.

    Hi Micheal,
    Thanks for your reply.
I'm pointing both Data Source Type and Details Source Type to the same system SAPHR and to the same system name (which is our dev system)

  • Trying to access Lion server remote using multi-user access, but from a legacy Leopard system

Just purchased a mini server running Lion, and got screen sharing working fine from my legacy system (32-bit so Leopard only). However, I would like to run in multi-user mode, so someone can use the Lion system and another person can access their own account, from the older Leopard system, at the same time. Using multi-user rather than screen sharing. But Leopard does not have the option on the Finder/Share Screen command, the pop-up window to select screen sharing or new virtual session. So, is there a way still to run a new virtual session from a remote client running Leopard?  Since the multi-user capability resides on the Lion server, it should be possible, but how, without the pop-up menu?

  • User unable to access Leave Request in Portal

    Hello guys,
A user can't access the leave request via Enterprise Portal 7.0 - the view works perfectly with the other users thus the issue seems to be isolated to this particular user. IE version being used is IE 6.0 - so that shouldn't be the cause of the problem. Also, the roles have been cross-checked and synchronized with the other users who are able to access the Leave Request function. Yet, it appears the roles are correctly assigned
Could it be possible that this is a problem with the user's data? Which component should I also look into?
    Thank you in advance!
    Regards,
    Jan

As for the IE patch problem, we're conducting an http-trace to check with this. But I see this as very unlikely, since the user also tried accessing it via a different workstation but the problem persists.
The 'resolution' for similar cases was to recreate a user account - even just a direct copy of the same user works. This could be an SAP application bug perhaps? The target is for a long term fix to the problem.
    Thanks!

  • File structure and Multi-user access/control

    Hi All
Currently evaluating RH. Our plan is to use RH HTML with RoboServer and either SourceSafe or Team Foundation for source control. We will be producing the "printed" manual (PDF) and publishing online help (hopefully html via RH server) from the single source layout
Given that we will edit content in RH's XHTML editor, I'm not clear on when we should create new files or the granularity of multi-user access. We have 17 apps and I plan to use a master project and merging (because we need to link to related topics in other apps).
I'm really not sure what should constitute a file in RH. First off, is access controlled at the file level?
I want to have multiple authors editing the same manual at the same time, so do I need to break the manual into multiple small files (currently it's a single word doc)?
If I do break it into multiple files, what's the best approach: 1 file per topic (or is this a requirement)?
Finally, when I come to generate the PDF, will the files be combined. (i.e. can I have different page-breaks than I have in the RH project)?
    Any pointers greatly appreciated
    Regards
    Mark

    Hi,
First off, is access controlled at the file level?
Not sure what you mean by that. In source control, you can check in/out ever file independent. Sometimes dependent files will be automatically checked out, for instance images used in the css when you check out the style sheet.
I want to have multiple authors editing the same manual at the same time, so do I need to break the manual into multiple small files (currently it's a single word doc)?
That be the idea. Anyway, it's not a good idea to have an entire RoboHelp project in a single topic. You probably want to cut up your contents into the small chunck: topics.
If I do break it into multiple files, what's the best approach: 1 file per topic (or is this a requirement)?
In RoboHelp a topic is a HTML file. RoboHelp doesn't force you to split up content into one or more topics. If you are creating help for the web, you want the information to be organized in relatively small chunck so users can quickly scan through it.
Finally, when I come to generate the PDF, will the files be combined. (i.e. can I have different page-breaks than I have in the RH project)?
Not sure what you mean by page breaks. As RoboHelp creates HTML files, there are no page breaks such as in paper manuals. When you create a PDF, you combine the topics you need into a single document.
If a PDF is required for you, you may want to consider not using RoboHelp for your sources. A PDF created by RoboHelp is useful for internal use, but it never seems to get good enough to give to customers. Personally, when a PDF version of a manual is required, I create the manual in FrameMaker and link or import the book into RoboHelp. You can also link Word documents, so you may want to play around with that before deciding whether to use Word, RoboHelp or FrameMaker for your source.

  • Multi user application control data access

    Dear all,
i am using Oracle Developer Suite 10g and database 10g, windows xp plate form.
i want to develop multi user application regarding education.
    i have two questions.
    1. i take a start from creating an HR database which have 30 tables.
    this database has 10 users.
the users will log on from their own schema.
how they will access the HR schema?
should i create a public synonym for each table in the HR Schema?
or should i create a view for each table in each user schema?
or should i grant select, insert, update etc to each user on HR schema?
    2. i want to control the data access for each user.
i.e. every student could access his own academic record. each teacher access his own related record, the manager the owner and so on.
how to accompolish this task? oracle roles are not sufficient for this purpose.
    Your help is highly appriciated.

How about you start with the basic stuff, like the 2 days developers guide:
    http://www.oracle.com/pls/db112/to_toc?pathname=appdev.112/e10766/toc.htm
and make it to the advanced developers guide:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/appdev.112/e25518/toc.htm
and work your way through the concepts manual:
    http://www.oracle.com/pls/db112/to_toc?pathname=server.112/e25789/toc.htm
and everything else which sounds interesting to you in here:
    http://www.oracle.com/pls/db112/portal.portal_db?selected=5&frame=
As for your first question this should be covered here:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/network.112/e16543/authorization.htm#BABHFJFJ
i want to control the data access for each user. This is also documented:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/network.112/e16543/vpd.htm#CIHBAJGI

  • Multi user access in Single application file

    Hi,
Is it possible to work Single application but multi-user access in Indesign CS6.
If yes, Please let me know how to access.
    Thansk,
    Uvaraj S

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. InDesign files can be edited by only a single user at one time, but any user can open a file not already in use.

  • Multi-user access?

I would like to switch over our organization's website from blogspot to iweb. Right now, several of us have access to the blogspot site so that we can all post. Will I loose multi-user access if I switch to iweb? And, if not, will everyone have to have access to my personal mac account in order to post?
    Thanks for the help.

Having multiuser access requires that everyone share the Domain file where iWeb keeps its data and that each person only use the latest version of it. Of course each user must also have a Mac and iWeb installed as well. Personally I would stick with blogspot.
