Multi-values filter issue for QaaWS

I've a matter with my Xcelsius Dashboard linked to a QaaWS.
I explain you in more datail:
I've created a QaaWS with a prompt that uses an "In List" operator (for example a prompt named State on State field). I'm been able to pass just one single value to the "State" Input Parameter of my QaaWS in an Xcelsius Dashboard, but not a multi-values. I've tried in vain to map more than one cell for the "State" Input Parameter (for example A1:A2 and pass California to A1 and Colorado to A2 : in this case the query returns values just for California)or to map just one cell and pass it a string like "California;Colorado" (in this case query doesn't return any values).
Has someone ever been incurred in this issue? Any suggest is very appreciated...

i've solved....
When i map my excel spreadsheet I can duplicate input parameter with the + button near "Input Values" into Web Service Component properties. I's a static solution but it works for my purpose.

My scenario is very simple :-
I am using SQL Server 2005 and SSRS. I need to develop a report which has a parameter value called Customer Name. The users should be able to select multiple customers from the list and sometimes Select All also. I tried the following :-
Created two data sets : Second dataset is just to populate the Customer Name
Created a Report Parameter and mapped with the query parameter where it says "Where CName in (@Parameter1)"
Nothing seems to be working although I tried to apply all the existing half-way solutions currently available in the forums. May be I am not getting to the right solution.
Here is what's happening :-
When used '?' like "where CName = ?" then it's working fine for the single value. {Multi value query cannot be used with ?}
But for multiple values when used @Parameter1 like "where CName in (@Parameter1)" it's giving the following error
Cannot add multi value query parameter '@Parameter1' for data set 'Dataset1' because it is not supported by the data extension.
However if commented this line it's pulling all the values whether or not selected from the parameter list.
This is the basic thing which I was not able to get the desired result, in addition I was looking to get the Customer Name parameter selected with a partial entry as we use LIKE. Example :- If the user enters 'St' in the text box the list should show all the names starting from those two letters

Multi value parameter issue.

We are facing some issue in SSRS report, whilst running SSRS report it shows as blank in the multi value parameter field when the <all> option is selected(character will be more than 20000). (Report server: MS windows server 2003 and 32 bit(GIRMSA3),
server: MS windows server 2008 and 64 bit)
Same is working in the SSRS Server and Citrix servers both are 32 bit , MS windows server 2003.
1. What is the Maximum Number of Values allowed in a SSRS 2008 Text Parameter Dropdown ? Is it configurable ?
2. What is the Maximum of Length of Select Values in a Text Parameter Dropdown in SSRS 2005 ? Is it configurable ?

Hi Vijay,
This is because of the following patch
“MS11-100 .Net Framework Security Update (KB 2656355)”. Applying this update limits the maximum number of form keys, files and JSON members to 1000 in a request.
Go to the reporting services installation folder.
Go to the report server folder and make a backup of the file “Web.config”. Once you have the backup, open the original file in notepad and add the following entry under the Configuration section:
<appSettings>
<add key="aspnet:MaxHttpCollectionKeys" value="30000"/>
</appSettings>
Go to the Report Manager folder and again make a backup of the file “Web.config”. Once you have the backup, open the original file in notepad and add the following entry under the appSettings tag:
< add key="aspnet:MaxHttpCollectionKeys" value="10000"/>
Once you do the above steps, you should be able to run the report without any issue.

SPAM Filter Issues for Email

I don't understand how I can continue to get 20+ SPAM emails a day that the filter does not catch. I even login and tag them as SPAM per the instructions. I even forward the emails to "report SPAM" email alias, yet they keep on coming...same ones, over and over. I actually forwarded my verizon email to a live.com email address for about a week and it caught EVERY SPAM email that verizon didn't. Can ANYONE give me some advice on how to fix this issue? I want to keep my email address @ Verizon but I'm close to bailing on it....thanks in advance for any help!

there is no reason to drop the VZ email address. I recently changed to https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/ and it does a good job of spam filtering with the verizon account.. Best part it is free & often updated. It is very easy to setup and has many more useful features than verizon's mail. Good luck

How to design SSRS report to filter multi-value parameter?

I developed an RDL which takes a multivalue parameter and I want to set a visibility expression or filter based on this parameter. This parameter uses an "All" value equal to '660E4583-7F29-4D37-8038-5096AE6A1A7F'.
I want to make the main tablix visible if this parameter is set to this uniqueidentifier and invisible otherwise. How can I achieve this either in the tsql dataset or on the report side? I have tried numerous workarounds, but none have worked so far! I've tried
different expressions and datatypes.
Before I tried If/Else statements in the tsql dataset, but most recently I instead added flags to the tsql dataset for each condition and am trying to make this tablix only include the records with the flag matching the parameters chosen. But even this is not
working for me.
Here is sample data:
create table #dummydata
parameter varchar(max),
b varchar(max)

After testing the scenario in my local environment, everything goes well. As per my understanding, I think this issue can be caused by the Available values in the Modifier parameter. Could you tell us the Available values of Modifier parameter in your scenario?
The following scenario in my test is for your reference:
I create a dataset with the sample data you posted.
Add a multi-value parameter named Modifier in the report.
Specify the following values in the Available Values of the parameter (please note that the value “All” should be located in the first place, because we use Parameters!Modifier.Value(0) in the filter):
Label: All                 Value: ="660E4583-7F29-4D37-8038-5096AE6A1A7F"
Label: A                   Value: ="1"
Label: B                   Value: ="2"
Label: C                   Value: ="3"
Drag a table to the design surface, insert parameter and b fields in the table.
Use the same expression as you said to add a filter in the tablix.

Passing different (multi-) values for parameters to drill-through report, based on clicked subtotal in main report

In Report Builder 3.0, I have made a main report in which the user can filter the underlying dataset using three parameters (all multi-value). The report shows totals grouped by these three parameters, as well as a grand total. What I want is to click
on a total, which then opens the drill-through report for the corresponding records. I have achieved this for the grand total; the action in the corresponding text box passes all selected values of the parameters to the drill-through report.
What I cannot figure out is how to make this work right when clicking on a subtotal. When I use the same expression as for the grand total, the same values for the parameters are passed, instead of the subset that apply to the corresponding text box in the
main report. I expected this to work, because Report Builder /does/ correctly calculate the SUMs for the different levels, even though the expressions are the same.
My question is: how do I pass different drill-through (multi-) values for parameters, corresponding to the respective subtotals in the main report?
(FYI: I am using Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 and Report Builder 3.0 .)

I was aware of the textbox action "Go to report", and how to pass parameters in general. My question concerned how to determine the scope of the passed multi-value parameters (to the values that apply to the respective group/subtotal). The article you linked
to is informative, but not a solution to my problem.
A colleague of mine came up with a pragmatic solution: instead of trying to determine the scope of the parameter values, now I "look to the left in the results table". The two screenshots below should illustrate this. (Screenshots are in Dutch. Specific information

The first screenshot shows the tablix in the Report Builder. The second screenshot shows the properties of the textbox selected in the first.
Notice that I do not pass parameters for the first two columns, but the actual values. I only pass the parameter (containing /all/ user-selected values) for the third column. In the textbox below the selected one, I pass the actual values for the first column,
and parameters for the last two. In the textbox above the selected one, I pass the actual values for all three columns.
The only (cosmetic) flaw this approach has is that in the drill-through report, the list of selected parameters might show values that do not occur in the (corresponding part of the) results, and only for those parameters for which the main report passes (all
user-selected) parameter values, and not the actual values in the results. The results are correct, though.
If there is a way to directly determine the scope of multi-value parameters for passing to a drill-through report, I would still like know. But for now, this seems to work.

Issues updating/setting multi value lookup columns via powershell

The problem I can see with your code is that the below line of code, you are instantiating inside the for loop. This should have been outside the for loop as by keeping it inside the loop you are overriding the value.

Crystal Reports For Eclipse - Multi-values not showing on page..

Tried two different ways to set params, but to no avail. Values seems to be set, but only one value appears on the report.The value is updated, so not an old value or anything.
Also if I look at the values I can see the values are set! The Field is set to multi=true and the height is big enough to display lots of date grow=true.

Result Type Condition for Multi value Manage Property not working

Hi All,
I have created one template & I wanted to show this template on particular condition. So I created the result type. The Managed property (MP) that I used, I have verified its attributes all attributes are selected and its type is Multi value. I am trying
to apply the "Show fewer conditions" and some how the value not matched.
I have checked MP ; it has all the values but some how the template not called. When I removed this condition it working and when choose other MP other then Multi valued. It is working as expected.
Please let me know if i miss something here.
PS: I have checked each option from the Query drop down like "Equals any of" and "Contains any of" not working in case of multi value attribute. Please help.

Value Mapping Replication for Mass Data - Performance Issues

Hi All,
We are looking into Value Mapping Replication for Mass Data. We have done this for less number of fields.
Now we might have to have 15,000 records in the cache for the Value Mapping. I am not sure how this would effect the Java Cache and Java Engine as a whole.
There might be a situation where we will have to leave the 15K records in the cache table on Java Engine...
Are there any parameters that we can look into just to see how this hits the performance.
Any links/ guidance in the right direction might help me..

Delimiter in Syndication Maps for Multi-Valued Fields

We are in the process of upgrading to MDM 7.1 from MDM 5.5. In one of our syndication maps we are syndicating a multi-valued hierarchy field with no particular limit as to how many values the field can hold. In the old MDM 5.5 Syndication map the xml output delimits this data with ";" (semi-colon) as in the below example.
<Field>Level 1Level 2Value 1; Level 1Level 2Value 2;Level 1Level2Value 3</Field>
In MDM 7.1 the values are separated by a "," (comma) like in the example below.
<Field>Level 1Level 2Value 1, Level 1Level 2Value 2, Level 1Level2Value 3</Field>
Is there anyway to change the delimiter in MDM 7.1 from a "," (comma) to a ";" (semi-colon) with out splitting the field?

Yes, for e.g in in your syndication map at source item lookup field display as follows
Country
|___ Code
|___ Name
just map country to destination item instead of using Code or Name, multi vaule will display with ; operator

if you want to set length of field you require to set properties at destination item as follows :
Fixed Column Width : the specific with destination item
Max Item Length : Maximum length allowed for the item

The default value as "None" for the report filter which is Value List type?

Hello,
I want to know is it possible to make the default value as "None" for the report filter which is Value List data type?
For example:The Project Classification Value List value type which have many value like "Supplier Rationalization" "Category Sourcing" "Contract Regegotiation" etc, and the value "Supplier Rationalization" is in the frist positon in the value list. When i use "Project Classification " as a report filter, the value "Supplier Rationalization" displayed as default value. And in the value list box in report filter of Project Classification , there is a value "None" which should be added automatically by system. So i manually filled the default value with "None" in Filter Prompt screen, but it does not work. After i display the report ,the Project Classification filter still use the ""Supplier Rationalization" as the default value.
My current ESO version is 5.1. I tried other ESO version like 5.15, if i manaully give a default value "None" in Filter Prompt screen for filter Project Classification, then the default value is "None". It works well.
Does anybody know if it's possible to do the same thing in ESO 5.1?

Hi David -
This is possible, but the technique is not too obvious...
To make "None" be the default choice for a query definition filter parameter of type value list type, you need to set the default value of the filter parameter to the following:
<internal id of value list type>:616:NULL
For example, I believe you will see that the internal id of the Project Classification value list type is 51, so the default value of the filter parameter would be:
51:616:NULL

SAP BI Design Approach for Multi value attribute

Hi All,
I have a requirement for an object say 0MATERIAL which is having around 20 multi value attribute.(e.g. color)
I understand I can not add this attribute i.e. COLOR to master data attribute as the 0MATRIAL as this is the key and can not hold more than 1 values for its attributes.
One approach could be to create seperate DS and DSO for each of the attribute and finally combine them into info set to get the desire results, but as number of such attributes are 20 info set would not be a solution.
Could you please suggest the alternate solution for the same?
