Multicast and Failover Teamed NICs has this issue.

Has anyone seen such a request from a customer although the request has nothing to do with the switches:
Windows 2000 client with two NIC cards in a Teamed configuration has one NIC connected to one CAT 6500 and the other to the another CAT6500. The NICs are configured in Failover Mode and not in Load Balaned Mode. So when one NIC fails the other takes over.
When I pull the cable from one NIC to it's CAT6500, unicast fails over almost immediately to the other NIC connecting to the other CAT 6500 and unicast starts to work. But Multicast will not work over the 2nd NIC until the client sends an IGMP JOIN Message over the 2nd NIC. The way the code is written on clients is that the IGMP Join Messages are only sent by the clients every 120 seconds and this is per the RFC requiremnt for a client to send JOIN every 120 seconds. This is 120 seconds even if the first NIC has failed.
Customers are expecting that the client - on occassions when the NIC fails - should send a JOIN message immediatley so that the 2nd switch IGMP snoops the packet and multicast resumes immediately and not after 6o or 120 seconds.
I am just curious to know if anyone else has recieved this request from other customers. Of course it is nothing to do with switches, but it is to do with Microsoft / NIC Driver / TCP Stack Implementation for Multicast on the Client.
Has anyone seen a code using WMI (Windows Management Interface) being written on the server where a NIC failure event in the Windows Event Logger being used to send a Multicast Join through the 2nd NIC so that the 2nd switch IGMP snoops the Join Request and sends multicast to that switch port.

Sorry - in the previous entry - I meant to say Multicast Report and everywhere I said Multicast Join. So please read JOIN as REPORT.

    First, select sender(s) as VIPs. Then the VIP category will appear.
    To select a sender as a VIP, open an email from that sender, then hover over their name and a star icon will appear to the left. Click the star, and that sender will be set as a VIP (and the category will appear in the pane on the left).

    Cannot figure out what your talking about since it makes no sense.
    If you are the account owner you can go to the My Verizon web portal http://www.verizonwireless.com
    You must log in with your cell number and your my Verizon portal password. Not the account pin.
    Once there you can change your plan and services. However repeated incorrect login attempts will lock you out of the site. It a fraud prevention measure.
    1-800-922-0204 call support with your cell number and or account number and account pin and they can assist you.
    If you don't have the information then there is nothing they can do.
    If you can verify who you are they may be able to reset your account access. But only if you are the account owner.

    Oh, well that was a whole other kettle of fish:
    Oh the G4 I attempted to install iLife '08 before Lepoard was available. About the only thing that installed cleanly was iPhoto. I ended up reinstalling everything back to iLife '06, and then upgrading back to the current stable version of the iLife '06 version. I didn't attempt a reinstall until after I upgraded to Leopard.
    When I did reinstall, I made a iLife '06 folder, copied all iLife apps into it, and upgraded. Seemed to work, except for the part where iMovie gets left behind and iDVD is only mostly functional.
    When I installed on the other 2 machines, it was after installing Leopard and all upgrades. On those 2 machines, I didn't bother with the copy, I just moved everything to the iLife '06 folder I created, and did a fresh install.
    I didn't have to do anything with the iPhoto Libraries, that I can recall.
    I always do an upgrade, never an archive and install. I've never had a problem with this back to 10.1 or 10.2.

    Im in 79707. So to recap my whole case: I upgraded my device using the verizon wireless website. I received my phone and switched my old SIM card from my Droid Razr Maxx HD into the new Galaxy S5. Everything worked fine until the next morning (May 31st) when I woke up and the phone wouldn't turn on. I took the phone to the local Verizon store and they were also unable to turn it on. They issued me a new Galaxy S5 (referred to as phone 2) and switched my SIM card into that one.
    With PHONE 2 i was able to make calls and receive calls, along with text and data for approximately four hours. After that, i was unable to use the phone function of the device, but text and data were still functioning. I took PHONE 2 back to the Verizon store where they attempted to hard reset the phone twice, they also installed two new SIM cards at the store. After this they would get the same error, which is the phone just reading "Dialing..." after attempting to make a call. The Verizon associate declared the phone "DOA" and issued me another Galaxy S5 (referred to as PHONE 3).
    PHONE 3 worked well, with phone text and data featured intact from when I received it on the after noon of the 31st until approximately 2:30PM on June 1st. I contacted Verizon Tech Support via Gmail phone to attempt the correct the problem. They reset the connection, had me do a battery pull, had me close the "phone" application, and erase the data and catche, then restart the phone. All of which had no effect. My phone is still able to receive texts and use data (even with wifi off) it simply cannot make or take phone calls. all it says is "dialing..." when I attempt to make a call. When other phones call my device it rings once on their end and directs them to voicemail, PHONE 3 does not ring on my end.
    I have made sure my old phone is completely powered down.

    If you have upgraded to Mountain Lion, Save As… has returned to the File menu when you hold down the Option/alt key. But you don't really "save" as other file types, you translate & export as Word or RTF or text or PDF & that is easily done by going to File > Export or Share > Export.
    Also, please do us all a favor & don't use all capitals in your posts, either the body of the post or the title. All caps is the internet equivalent of shouting & is very hard to read.

    I had the same experience with a new iPhone 5 that I bought  last week. Did not have a chance to measure battery life before the 6.0.2 upgrade installed but I set up my phone exactly like my 4S and immediately started running out of power after short periods. Went to Xmas get together with fully charged 5 and 4S. Heading home the iPhone 5 shut down for low battery and the 4S had 65% power. Both phones had two half phone calls on then and no data usage.
    That night I fully charged the iPhone 5 and, without lighting it up, put it on my night table. Next morning I picked it up and looked at battery indicator and I had 42% charge with NO activity!
    Tried it again next night and wound up with 37% charge. (Slept longer).
    Today I called the carrier and reactivated the 4S.  Took the 5 to Apple Store and they kindly gave me choice of new replacement phone or refund. I took the refund. Uniquely, the Apple Store said it was Verizon CDMA phones that were coming back.
    The are other strings on this with temporary solutions, but from my experience with 7 firmware changes on an HTC 4G phone the problem will continue because the solution will be hardware caused. We are in the days where RTM means Rush to Market - not Release To Manufacturing.
    I fear the only solution is to either wait for the next model (I did not notice a really major change in performance over the 4S in LTE heavy Seattle area) - or switch to another manufacturer.
    It might be useful for these forums to indicate if you have a GSM or CDMA phone to see which have more problems.

    If you have backups, if you can and saved your ML installer, you can start over.
    Prevention and taking a more proactive approach to system maintenance and repair, rather than fixiing a problem (likely pre-existing?) format the drive or partition and reinstall 10.8.1 and restore from backups.
