Multicube with a ODS and a infocube
Hi all,
I have done a multicube with ods and infocubo. Ods and infocubo has equal and different characteristics. My problem is that when I'm doing query on the multicube, doesn´t load the data of the ods. Knows somebody the reason?
Thank you very much.
Like Bhanu said...check if you have included any KF from the ODS in your query. If the answer is YES, but still the data of ODS is not being loaded...then check the identification of the characteristics in the identification tab of the MP. Make sure they are identified properly. For the characteristics that exist both in the cube and the ODS....make sure you identify from both the sources.
Good luck!

Problem creating a join in a MultiCube between an ODS and an InfoCube
Hi there,
I have a MultiCube that I am trying to Build a Report from. The MultiCube links together an ODS and an InfoCube.
The difficulty I am running into is that the ODS contains Document Change Data and Header Level Data and the InfoCube holds data for example GL Account at Item Level.
The join has not been properly configured as the report is skewed - the Identification in the MultiCube is correct - but the Join options are very limited.
Has anyone come across a solution to a similar problem - i.e. where you have to link together two sets of related data at different Levels of Granularity - preferably without using an InfoSet (for reporting reasons)?
Thanks, AdrianWhen I am creating a row in tableC I am using existing value of TableA idA in refIdTableA (so there is the value on master table) , while I want that other attributes of TableC are editable.
The associations that links tableA --> tableC and tableB-->tableC are composition association optimize for database cascade delete, Lock top-level container.
I don't know what is the right way to realize it... declarative? programmatically? if programmatically, how can implement it? using tableAEOImpl.java, or tableAVOImpl.java or myAppModuleImpl.java?
I have tried in a declarative way: using the createWithParams of tableC, passing as parameter the value of refIdTableA (I have this value because I am in a master/detail), but when I click on it, I have this error:
Impossibile to find or invalidate the property entity: entity TableCEO, row Key oracle.jbo.Key[-158 ]. oracle.jbo.InvalidOwnerException
I think I have this error because I have two composition relationship on TableC. Is there a solution? I need both two composition relations
Thank you

ODS and Infocube showing different results
Hi,
I loaded same data to Infocube and ODS but they are both showing different result in BEX.
ODS
ODS report is showing summarised values e.g
vendor order value invoice value date
00001 20 20 01.01.2007
Infocube
result is showing not summarised values
vendor order value invoice value date
00001 20 0 0
0 20 01.01.2007
I would like to make the infocube result same as the ODS because I am remodelling so that we start reporting from Infocube rather than ODS.
thanksHi,
this is the scenario
currently we are reporting from ODS object which fetch data from 3 ODSes. now I am asked to remodel so that we can report from infocube not ODS.
steps I have taken so far.
- created new infocube
- created 3 update rules ( same Update rules that gives the reporting ODS data).
my target is to make sure that the current ODS report is the same as the infocube report but so far the report is not consistent
I compared the data in the ODS and infocube and they are exactly the same but the report is showing differently -
How to change it if some data is wrong in ODS and infocube
hi all:
could you please tell me how to change it if some data is wrong in ODS and infocube ?
Best regardsYou receive information on all requests that have run in the InfoCube and you can delete requests if required.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/d4/aa6437469e4f0ae10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm
Request ID you can find in administration of the InfoCube. If a cubes is compressed you can't delete requestwise...

Hi All,
i need information on how to do deltas on ods. i did two full uploads for ods 0fiar_o03 and then infocube. i need to do delta for this ods and cube. Please give me the steps to do delta for ods and infocube.
regards
rajaHow are you doing the full load to ODS 0FIAR_O03. Are you giving any selection criteria.
In order start pulling Delta to the ODS you need to do a Full repair request or else you need to delete the full load requests from ODS and reload using Initialization.
Anways you are loading full load request in to the ODS, so it would be better to load Init Load next time and then start picking up deltas.
Delta to the Infocube is easily possible, by selecting Init in ODS after deleting all the data from the infocube. After that only the delta records from change log will be taken to the Cube from the ODS.
The delta to the cube can be performed irrespective of whether you performa Full load or Delta load in to the ODS.
Hope it helps!!! -
Total number of records loaded into ODS and in case of Infocube
hai
i loaded some datarecords from Oracle SS in ODS and Infocube.
My SOurceSytem guy given some datarecords by his selection at Oracle source system side.
how can i see that 'how many data records are loaded into ODS and Infocube'.
i can check in monitor , but that not correct(becz i loaded second , third time by giving the ignore duplicate records). So i think in monitor , i wont get the correct number of datarecords loaded in case of ODS and Infocube.
So is there any transaction code or something to find number records loaded in case of ODS and Infocube .
ps tell me
i ll assing the points
bye
rizwanHAI
I went into ODS manage and see the 'transferred' and 'added' data records .Both are same .
But when i total the added data records then it comes 147737.
But when i check in active table(BIC/A(odsname)00 then toal number of entries come 1,37,738
why it is coming like that difference.......
And in case of infocube , how can i find total number of records loaded into Infocube.(not in infocube).
Like any table for fact table and dimension tables.
pls tell me

Is there any way for updating wrong data in ODS and infocube?
Hi all
Is there any way for correcting wrong data in ODS and infocube?You could do a selective deletion, by specifying the filter values, so that you only delete a subset of the entire data. You could then do a re-load for the same selection so that there is no duplication of records.
This is on the assumption, that your incorrect data is due to some incorrect update or transfer rules, which you have now corrected (before the re-load).
mate, you have mentioned that You could then do a re-load for the same selection .
could you please tell me how to do a re-load ? thank you very much -

How to update a register in an ODS and in a cube
Hi:
I have a regsiter in my ODS, but when his status change in r/3 i have to update the register. When i load the delta it send's me a mistake that i have duplicate registers. How can I avoid thsi mistake instead to update the status, and how do i make the the update to the infocube that feeds the ODS in order that this update can be seen in the cube
Points for helpfull answers.That's why it's failing when you're trying to load a record with the same key...
If you want to reflect the changes, uncheck this property in the ODS and make sure you assign ' ' (New Image) to 0RECORDMODE in your Transfer Rules... That way you'll be able to catch the changes without that error...
Hope it helps...

Hi Experts,
I need your help in following topic. I have a requirement to build a big (overall) sales report in BI (NW2004s).
I would like to use BI Content because I'm running out of time and try to use all preconfigured stuff if possible.
In the requirement a bunch of fields of different SD DataSources are used (mostly 2LIS_11_VAHDR and 2LIS_11_VAITM but also some fields of other Datasources).
In SE16 I know how to locate all the field in the tables VBAK, VBAP, KNA1, VBKD,
LIKP, VBRK and of course some texts. Some fields could already be located by me, others couldn't even be found in BI.
The difficulty I have is to bring all the DataSources together so that the data is displayed correct - even if there are redundant parts.
For example:
For sales orders the doc no, sales org, distr. channel (and a lot of other header data) should be displayed in each line together with item data such as item no., material code, quantity (and a lot of other item data). If an order has multiple items each item should be diplayed in one row in the report.
In the Query the report should look like a common table (e.g. as in an ALV Grid if you model a query with SQ01) --> a lot of columns.
I'm not sure if I should use one big DSO with multiple InfoSources or if I should create a MultiCube and add the BI DSOs 0SD_O03 (Orders) and 0SD_O01(Order Items).
I know this is a very common requirement in SD. Do you know how to combine the most common SD datasources that no issues come up?
Thank you very much in advance,
Horst

Horst HenkelHi Horst,
Reporting on ODS / DSo is slow. I'm here at a cleint where we have lots of reports on SD_O01 and SD_O03. The best way to have good query performance is to build cubes on top of your ODS. Build a sales cube on top of SD_O03 with all fields and a billing cube on top of SD_O01. Load the data from your ODS to your new cubes. Then create a multipovider on top of both cubes, identify the keyfigures and characteristics required for your queries. Build the queries on top of the multiprovider.
You can display all items of a bill in one row if you choose drill-across for the irems in the query, instead of drill-down. So it looks for a standard SD report.

How to Match / Lookup in ODS and Cube
Hi Friends
I need to Match a field " Status " in an "ODS" and " Infocube " ,
If this match found ( from ODS and Infocube ) I need to Create a New Cube with the matched data.
Pls give me some idea how to do this Match /lookup to get Matched Status field Values to New Cube
Thanks
SreeHi Sree,
You can do this.
Create a transformation from ODS to new cube.
In the transformation write a start routine.
Here read data from the cube by using function module "RSDRI_INFOCUBE_READ" into internal table.
You can pass the filter and fields which you want to read from the cube to this function module.
By looping on the soruce package and the internal table which contains the cube data, check if the data is matching or not. If a record is not matching then delete it from the source package.
This way, after the start routine source_package will have only those records where status is matching.if status is not matching for any record , then 0 records will be loaded to new cube.
THis will surely help.

Hi Epxerts,
When we say the difference between ODS and Cube : we Say cube is summerization data and ODS is Detailed data .What exactly this meaning.
Plz explain with example.Hi,
Consider a scenario where gives detailed description:
There are three main steps to the entire data process:
<b>step1:</b>
<b>Loading the data into BW and storing it in the PSA</b>
The data requested by BW is stored initially in the PSA. The PSA is a transparent database table, in which data is saved, per request, in the format of the transfer structure. A PSA is created for each DataSource and each source system. The PSA is the storage location for incoming data in BW. Requested data is saved, unchanged, to the source system.
<b>Processing and storing the data in ODS Objects</b>.
In the <b>second step</b>, the ODS Objects are used on two different levels.
In level 1, the data from an InfoSource from several source systems is stored in ODS objects. This allows data to be saved in a consolidated way in the technical format of BW. The transfer rules cleanse the data from the source system-dependent data format of the PSA. In level 1, the data is stored at document level (for example, orders and deliveries) and constitutes the consolidated database for further processing in BW. Reporting is therefore not usually carried out on the ODS objects at this level.
In level 2, transfer rules subsequently combine the data from several ODS objects into a single ODS object in accordance with business-related criteria. The data is very detailed, for example, information such as the delivery quantity, the delivery delay in days, and the order status, are calculated and stored per order item. Level 2 is used specifically for operative reporting issues, for example, which orders are still open from the last week. Unlike OLAP reporting, where very large quantities of data are selected, here data is displayed and analyzed selectively.
<b>Storing data in the InfoCube</b>
In the <b>final step</b>, the data is aggregated from the ODS object on level 2 into an InfoCube, meaning in this scenario, that the InfoCube does not contain the order number, but saves the data on a customer, product, and month level. OLAP reporting using the BEx Query is also run on this data. You can still display the detailed document data from the ODS object whenever you need to. Use the Report/Report Interface from a BEx query. In this way, you are able to analyze the aggregated data from the InfoCube, and target the specific level of detail you want to access in the data

## or so; a setting of 0 means unlimited.
## NOTE: This value does not include keepalive requests after the initial

# Settings for hosting different languages.
# Required modules: mod_mime, mod_negotiation
# DefaultLanguage and AddLanguage allows you to specify the language of
# a document. You can then use content negotiation to give a browser a
# file in a language the user can understand.
# Specify a default language. This means that all data
# going out without a specific language tag (see below) will
# be marked with this one. You probably do NOT want to set
# this unless you are sure it is correct for all cases.
# * It is generally better to not mark a page as
# * being a certain language than marking it with the wrong
# * language!
# DefaultLanguage nl
# Note 1: The suffix does not have to be the same as the language
# keyword --- those with documents in Polish (whose net-standard
# language code is pl) may wish to use "AddLanguage pl .po" to
# avoid the ambiguity with the common suffix for perl scripts.
# Note 2: The example entries below illustrate that in some cases

# Note 3: In the case of 'ltz' we violate the RFC by using a three char
# specifier. There is 'work in progress' to fix this and get

========HTTPD.CONF==========I am modifying the correct httpd.conf file on the server, it just doesn't seem to work. - If I put the rewrite rules in the <Directory /> the rewrite works but it adds /Library/WebServer/Documents to the URL.
I also tried putting the rewrite rules in <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> but that did not work either.
mod_rewrite is enabled and running on the server.
I will post the rewrite rules again in the code brackets. Sorry for the long post. - If some one can try them out on their Leopard Server to see if they can get them to work, it would be much appreciated. Again, these work on my Leopard Client but I can't get them to work on Server.
-- The httpd.conf file posted above is just the default conf file found in /private/etc/apache2/

Problem with porcess chain and request
Hi experts, I need help!!
Description of the problem:
There are three ODS that load daily information through process chain to a Infocubo. The information is loaded to BW from View generated for a data base of Oracle.
Process chain for the three ODS is equal, I explain the one procedure to them:
1- It initiates the chain .
2- Blocks the View.
3- Load of data through of infoPackage.
4- If the load finishes well, then the data is delete of the View, the data is activte in the ODS and it arises to InfoCube, and if it finishes bad so unblocks the View and finishes process chain.
5- Then, reconstruct the Index.
Happens that in the three ODS when we loaded the information erase request loaded previously, then the historical one of the loads in the ODS does not stay. The three infopakages used to load the information to the ODS does not have labeled the option to erase the destiny of data, and it does not have it marked. The ODS do not have marked that option.
When I do it manually east problem does not happen. I erased process chain and I returned to create the chain porcess but it did not solve the problem.
Thank youI just checked the documentation and found that your code is incorrect. IAlternativeName::StrValue contains value for an email address, a Domain Name System (DNS) name, a URL, a registered object identifier (OID), or a user principal name (UPN). It doesn't
contain string value for directory name (and other non-mentioned types). Instead, you need to instantiate an IX500DistinguishedName interface and initialize it from an alternative name value:
class Program {
static void Main(string[] args) {
String RequestString = "Base64-encoded request");
CX509CertificateRequestPkcs10 request = new CX509CertificateRequestPkcs10();
request.InitializeDecode(RequestString, EncodingType.XCN_CRYPT_STRING_BASE64_ANY);
Console.WriteLine("Subject: {0}", request.Subject.Name);
foreach (IX509Extension ext in request.X509Extensions) {
if (ext.ObjectId.Name == CERTENROLL_OBJECTID.XCN_OID_SUBJECT_ALT_NAME2) {
CX509ExtensionAlternativeNames extensionAlternativeNames = new CX509ExtensionAlternativeNames();
string rawData = ext.RawData[EncodingType.XCN_CRYPT_STRING_BASE64];
extensionAlternativeNames.InitializeDecode(EncodingType.XCN_CRYPT_STRING_BASE64, rawData);
foreach (CAlternativeName alternativeName in extensionAlternativeNames.AlternativeNames) {
switch (alternativeName.Type) {
case AlternativeNameType.XCN_CERT_ALT_NAME_DIRECTORY_NAME:
IX500DistinguishedName DN = new CX500DistinguishedName();
DN.Decode(alternativeName.RawData[EncodingType.XCN_CRYPT_STRING_BASE64]);
Console.WriteLine("SAN: {0}", DN.Name);
break;
default:
Console.WriteLine("SAN: {0}", alternativeName.strValue);
break;
