  Multipe Outlook versions installed
Every thing was working great before the ver was installed......... in fact the programs still sync with this error message....
How can i fix this problem, of course i have checked and have only one version of outlook 2010 running

No but i did have Outlook 2007 installed until apple came out with the iCloud, and we had to upgrade to outlook 2010 so the iCloud would work...
? iCloud supports 2007 and 2010, but no matter now.
Using Microsofts uninstall program remove Office 2010, then search for remnants of Office 2007 and remove them (check the registry also for 2007 entries)
Reinstall Office, start iCloud.

I have just started with iCloud, and run into a problem from my PC.
    It says: "
    Multiple Outlook versions installed.

installed.  To use iCloud with outlook, uninstall one version.
I have searched and found two versions of Outlook 2013 and 2015  (one of which was inactive, but I have removed it), and one of outlook.pst, which I have removed.
Where do I go from here?

That's a Windows/Office problem. You should ask in the Microsoft support forums.

You are correct, there is no Apple presence on the board. You were advised of that when you agreed to the Terms of Service for the board. This is a user to user technical support forum, hosted by Apple.
If you want to speak directly with Apple, then you need to contact Apple Care. Use this support document to select your location and find out how to contact them.  Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support
As far as Outlook is concerned, Bonjour communicates with Outlook via the .pst file, and if you have more than one, that is probably where the error originates. I'm not sure if there is a way to correct that, and I do not have any experience in multiple data files for Outlook.

  • "you can't use Icloud when multiple versions of outlook is installed. As far as i know I only have 1 version installed. Any ideas

I have recently loaded Icloud and received the following message
"You can't use ICloud when multiple versions of Outlook are installed. To use ICloud with outlook uninstall one version" As far as I am aware I only have one version. Is there anyone who had a similar issue and if you did what is the solution?

You're probably on OS X Lion?
I had the same problem as you. I used Software Update to update Logic Express to the latest version, and then it ran without any problems.

What you've outlined in this part of the post is all that icloud stores for you outside of the backup. If you want to restore from the icloud backup you will then have for all practical purposes a carbon restoration back to your device if you restore from the icloud backup.

Syncing your device with itunes will then enable you to remove whatever photos you wish to remove from your device deleting them with the computer and not the iphone.

There is no 'earlier' version that supports XP. iCloud launched with Vista/7 support only.

  • Problems with Outlook 2007 and icloud v2.1.1

    Hi
I'm a plumber and sparky in the UK and I have been a user of Mobile me for a number of years to sync my Iphone diary with my Outlook 2007 diary since the days when i had an IPhone 3. Effectively this allows me to be updated with new or cancelled appointments whilst i'm out and about working and when i finish a job i update my iphone diary which in turn updates my outlook diary and my wife, who runs the office, can then invoice based on what i have updated. All worked well until recently. Then along came Icloud and mobile me was no more. The first version of Icloud control panel worked just the same as Mobileme control panel and we had no problems then version 2.1.1 came out and suddenly strange things started to happen. Firstly the curser would not highlight, on Outlook, any details to allow us to format or copy text. Then the notes section would no longer print if these notes were updated or changed on the pc although they would if they were updated on the iphone.
I contacted Microsoft about the issue and was told that as my software was more than 90 day old i would have to pay for suppor so i declined their kind offer and then called Apple where i spoke with a very nice support lady who had never encountered this problem before. I told her that i had tried all the usual things like "repair " the Outlook installation and  deleting bits from the registry file, a forum had what to do, but still the problem persisted. She then told me that i should uninstall Icloud Control panel and then re-install it which i did and bingo suddenly it appeared to work correctly however when i merged the icloud diary with the diary on my pc the problem came back.
The reason i'm writing this is to say that i managed to find the first version of Icloud control panel in my download folder so i unistalled version 2.1.1 and installed version 1.0.0 and my system is back up and running correctly.  so if you're haveing a similar problem go back to an earlier version of the control panel, when it did work, and you should be ok. For the apple people who read through these posting please sort this bug out before the next update as if the problem returns when i do an update in a few months time i may well scream.
I run Outlook 2007 on a windown 7 PC that's a good 3 years old. My Iphone is an Iphone 4 running iOS5
    regards
    David Llewellyn.

We are trying to roll out outlook 2007 together with outlook connector 7.2u1 at patch level 125361-03. Installation goes ok. But we have a major problem with Calendars.
Having used Sun Mail & Calendar for years our users subscribe to a number of calendars, these show up in outlook in the left hand pane and are selectable to view, which syncs the calendar into outlook - all well and good.
Now the major problem, when syncing another persons calendar to view availability etc, all the reminders get sent to the user viewing the calendar as well as going to the owner - where we have users that subscribe to around 20-30 calendars thats alot of other peoples reminders that pop up on the screen !This is a known issue - bug #6603810 - "Outlook Connector shows popup reminders in Outlook 2007 for Subscribed Calendars - need to turn off".
Outlook 2007 supports reminders in non-default calendars which is why you are now seeing this issue and not with say Outlook 2003.
The bug is fixed in patch 125361-05 - you must log a sun support request to get a copy of the patch.

  • Has anyone experienced problems with Outlook after installing Mavericks?

Has anyone else experienced problems using Microsoft Outlook after installing Mavericks?  The computer seems to want to continue reloading emails.

    2. Apple has removed the ability to sync through iTunes in OS X Mavericks, so that, even if you use Contacts and Calendar on the Mac, you can only sync them with your iPhone through iCloud, thus exposing all your contacts and calendar information to the mercies of the Web.
    3. Microsoft does not not support CalDAV and CardDAV in Outlook, so there is no way to sync directly through iCloud, except perhaps by setting up a Microsoft Exchange account.
    4. Apple makes it extremely difficult (virtually impossible) to revert to a version of OSX that is earlier than OS X Mavericks once Mavericks is installed.
In short, we are screwed and neither company seems to care.
In fact Microsoft does support Cal and CardDav in Outlook, just not in the Mac version of Outlook.
Reverting back from Mavericks requires nothing more than a backup of the system to restore from, if you do not elect to make backups that is a choice, but I would venture that it is a bad choice.

  • ICloud 2.0 PC & Outlook Custom Recurring Events Problem

I write this post after a couple weeks and many hours of trying to fully sync my calendar in Outlook 2010 with iCloud. I'm using a Windows 7 PC and the latest iCloud 2.0 control panel. I have encountered multiple issues and quirks.
For example, I discovered that when merging an existing Outlook primary calendar that contains recurring events to the Cloud, major problems occur. The control panel "time remaining" for Outloook Setup steadily increases past 30 minutes and the progress bar stalls. It then abruptly stops after about 10 minutes, reporting that Outlook is successfully setup. But only a portion of my 2600 events have been copied to the Cloud. Other times, the control panel simply crashes, citing a CalDav error.
I then changed my strategy by merging an Outlook calendar containing only single occurring events. That works fine. Then I recreated the recurring events on icloud.com and they synced with Outlook fine...with the notable exception of custom recurring events.
I've been able to work through all the bugs until this one.You can easily illustrate this for yourself by isolating the flaw. Create a new calendar in the Cloud so that it appears in Outlook (or vice versa). Then create just a single custom recurring event in the Cloud, like MLK's birthday. This example recurs every third Monday in January of each year.
However, when this event syncs to Outlook, it does not carry over the custom pattern. It instead recurs on the same day each year. In my example, this was January 21 because that happened to be the date of MLK's birthday in 2008, the year that I tried creating it in. So Outlook showed MLK's birthday occurring on a Saturday (January 21) in 2012.
If you instead create the same event in Outlook (i.e. third Monday of each January), it syncs to the Cloud with the proper custom recurring pattern. That's great, except if you every need to "Sign Out" in your iCloud control panel and sign back in, the custom recurring pattern will not be maintained when the Cloud events are transferred back into Outlook.
I believe this singular flaw is behind a LOT of people's problems. I've read through countless posts of people becoming frustrated with the inability to correctly sync iCloud and Outlook. Very often, people are specific about recurring events being involved. But most everyone doesn't know WHY they're having problems.
Like many of you, I have spent many hours experimenting and diagnosing. I have been unable to resolve this fundamental problem, which will always prevent me from being able to rely on iCloud for my calendar needs. Recurring events, including those with custom patterns, are essential.
Anyone have insight or a fix to this?

Thanks mcauble, in fact it's woks. I spent 2 hours and 80.-€ withe the Microsoft helpdesk concerning my outgoing message on Outlook that are blocked when the icloud add-in is installed.
Back to the iCloud control panel 1.1 solved the problem.
    Window 7, MS Office 2010
    Thanks to you!
(And none congratulation to the Apple developper that are no tested the 2.0 version before! )

I'm guessing that you have checked and complied with the system requirements?
    System Requirements
    Microsoft Windows 7 or 8
Microsoft Outlook 2007 or later or an up-to-date browser (for Mail, Contacts, Calendars)
Internet Explorer 9 or later, Firefox 22 or later, or Google Chrome 28 or later (for Bookmarks)
    Broadband Internet access
Note: If you are upgrading from iCloud Control Panel 1.1 or earlier, you will need to sign out of iCloud Control Panel and uninstall it before downloading iCloud Control Panel 3.1

I had a similiar problem, with my multiple devices.  I open iTunes and when all devices were connected I went to the info section on each device.  Under info I checked the sync calandars. Under that I click all calanders. I then did the apply in low right. I then did the sync function and it fixed it for me.  You have to do this for each device.
I also checked the device (ipad,Iphone) themselves and change the calander selection to NO Catagory.  Hope this helps.

  • HT4759 What is the latest version of iCloud outlook add-inn?

I'm allways is receiving this message:
Do Apple has a new version for iCloud outlook add-in?
    My actual version is 2.1.1

    http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/8.0.1/releasenotes/
Only the Mac users will get the idle/manual update from 8.0 to 8.0.1 patch. For Mac users it is to fix a crash issue due to Java Java SE 6 version 1.6.0_29.
Windows users do not benefit from having 8.0.1 unless they use a older version of Roboform and cannot or will not update Roboform to version 7.62 or newer. However if Windows users are getting Firefox crashes upon startup then it may be worthwhile to download Firefox 8.0.1 and install it.
The 8.0.1 is pretty much the 8.0 release for Linux users however if they are using 4.0 to 7.0.1 release and check for updates now then the 8.0.1 will be served (same with Windows and Mac users using older).
It is much easier to just serve 8.0.1 at mozilla.com for all users much like they did with 5.0.1 even though was meant for Mac 10.5 and 10.7 users in mind and pretty much was the 5.0 release for Windows and Linux users then.

  • Outlook Connecter Install Problems

    Hi there,
I have just set up a trial for the Calander Server and it is working a treat through the web interface but I am having problems with the Outlook Connector.
The problem seems to spring from the fact that I am not using (and do not intend to use) the Sun Messaging Server for email. My setup is:
    Sun Calendar Server (machine 1)
    Sun Directory Server (machine 2)
Exim Based IMAP / SMTP server (machine 3+ as it is scaled and redundant)
When you use the connector deployment software it asks you for your incoming and outgoing mail servers and LDAP/Address/Calendar servers.
So, I add the Exim mail platform in for the incoming and outgoing mail servers and the Dirctory or Calendar server to the others as appropriate.
When I then try to install the connecter I get the error "Logon information for new mailboxes is invalid" .. even though they are the same as I have made the two users match exactly for testing. I can see the system trying to log on via IMAP and failing for no obvious reasons as the IMAP login works perfectly well.
Any ideas? How can I get the outlook connector working without using the Sun Messaging Server? Will I need to install the messaging server and not use it to install the connector (seems like a lot of hassle).
    Thanks
    Josh

Well, I think I've tried all of the above. Initially, I uninstalled the Office2013 preview and installed the released version. This is where it crashed. I have since performed a fresh install of Windows 8 Enterprise along with Office 2013. Now, when I create
my IMAP account (to a personal self-managed email account on a Linux server) there are two fundamental problems:
    1. Even though I can see all of my IMAP folders when I use the IMAP folder tool in Outlook, no matter what I do, I can not get the folder listings in the Outlook sidebar to match my subscribed folders. I have an extensive list of folders I use to store my
mail, and it flat-out is inaccessible to me. I get: inbox, drafts, sent, trash, drafts, Junk E-mail5(this computer only),
October 2012, October 2012.lock, outbox, spam, Trash, Trash, Trash, Search Folders   (bold/italics are folders actually known to be on my server) Note that the drafts and trash folders show up multiple
times. This is not what my subscribed folder list says I should see there.
    2. Outlook will not automatically sync my IMAP inbox. When I start Outlook, it syncs my Exchange Account and Outlook.com account just fine. Nada on the IMAP. I can even tell OUtlook to send/receive and it still does not update. If I click on the first trash
folder I get a message telling me that Trash is syncing, and if I then switch to my IMAP inbox, it starts to sync and seems to work after that.
I'm pretty clearly convinced that MS broke IMAP big time. It always had its quirks in the past, but this one is busted.
