Multiple 997 Functional Acks

Hello ,
I have a scenario EDI-PI-IDOC where i will be receiving the multiple PO in EDI messages
I am using the seevurger adapter and able to split the messages successfully and process them
Now the problem is Whenever I get Multiple PO ,Multiple 997 Ack messages are getting generated and all in
ne Document Which results in mapping error
as standard mapping is not capable of doing so..
I tried to change the occurrence of message ,but failed to do so
Is there any method of doing so for this case

How to set the AS2 fileName for outbound Functional Ack 997 auto generated by Oracle B2B.
External Trading Partner is sending the EDI 856 via AS2 URL to our Oracle B2B Server.
In the inbound 856 agreement, we have checked the option of Funtional Ack and also Functiona Ack handled by B2B is yes.
We have the outbound agreement which is sending that Functional ack 997 (auto generated by oracle b2b) and we have specified the Outbound AS2 channel of the Partner.
997 doc is being sent to external partner using AS2 channel, but the filename is generating as '40101'.
Please can you let me know how to set the AS2 fileName for outbound Functional Ack 997 auto generated by Oracle B2B.

AFAIK, there is no option to set the file name when the 997 is generated automatically by B2B.
Alternatively, if this is a must requirement, you can generate the FA from backend and send to B2B with MSG_TYPE =9. In this case, you can set the header with filename (How to set the actionname property in B2B 11g)

Processing functional acks (997s)

Is that possible to process inbound 997s through Middleware from B2B and have B2B generate automatically 997s for outbound.
That means, for the transactions which we receive from the customer let B2B generate functional acks (997s) automatically and for the transactions which we send and functional acknowledgements (997s) which we receive from the customer should be processed through middleware.
I know we have at agreement level to specify for the functional acks but I am not sure is that possible to differentiate that for inbound 997s to be processed from B2B to middleware and for outbound 997s, let B2B handle automatically. Pls advise.

Yes, it is possible. In your outbound EDI agreement, enable the "Functional Ack" and select "No" in "FA Handled by B2B" drop-down. Note that "FA Handled by B2B" drop-down has three options - None, Yes and No. For passing inbound 997 to middleware, you must select "No".
In inbound EDI agreement, select "Yes" in "FA Handled by B2B" drop-down and B2B will handle the 997 automatically.

Issue while handling the functional ack(CONTRL) through B2B

Hi,
My requirement is to handle the incoming CONTRL message through B2B and send the data to SOA/AIA application and update the CONTRL data in table. For that i have done the following settings in oracle B2B.
Functional Ack handled automatically : false
Functional Ack internal properties : false
Notify Inbound Receipt Acks     : false
Notify Inbound Functional Acks : false
I am able to update the data successfully in the table for the successful scenarios. But if the transaction is failed in SOA/AIA application due to some error then it is creating 2 entries of MSG_ERROR in reports tab in B2B where as it is creating only one entry for MSG_COMPLETE state.
Please guide me if i am missing anything here. I am getting below 2 errors for 2 separate entries at the same time.

I guess B2B listening channel is trying to retry the same file in case of error.App message delivery is not retried in B2B rather failed messages are delivered to the IP_IN_QUEUE. Please enable the logging for B2B engine in TRACE 32 mode and run a test to reproduce the behaviour. Post the log here or mail across to my id (in my profile).

Not able to use multiple grid function in smartview

Hi,
One of my client want to use multiple grid function in Hyperion smartview and he was using latest version of Hyperion smartview 11.1.2.5. But still that feature was not enabled in smart view.
Our's is windows environment and essbase server version 11.1.2.1 and APS version 11.1.2.1.
Can anyone please help me to resolve this issue.
Please let me know if i might missed anything or still if any info required.

Multiple Partner Functions for a Sales document Item

Hi,
Can you please advise on modeling scenario for showing multiple partner functions for a given sales document in BI Report ..
Because Key figure values should not be distributed for multiple records just becos of multiple partner functions but users want to see them in the reports along with sales doc and key figure
I am explaining bit more clearly...
I can achieve above requirement by having below model ..
SDOC ITEM PF1 PF2 PF3 AMOUNT
1000 10 AB CD EF 50000
PF : Partner Function
but as I feel it is a complicated task to add more and more columns fro partner functions as and when new partner functions have been added or requested to show by users at sales doc level...
So Can you please advise a better solution to meet the same requirement.

This will be the normal display in the cube if there is only one Partner Function.
But what we need is
SalesDoc______Item_______PartnerFunction________Amount
80000_________10_____________A1_______________$1000

The Amount (KF) should be populated only for the first record for a SalesDoc / Item combo.
You load data from source to the ODS, say delta.
Suppose that the below record is already available in the ODS.
SalesDoc______Item_______PartnerFunction________Amount
80000_________10_____________A1_______________$1000
And you get the following data as DELTA in the Data_Package from the source.
SalesDoc______Item_______PartnerFunction________Amount
80000_________10_____________A2_______________$1000
80000_________10_____________A3_______________$1000
If you populate the Amount again for these 2 records, then the total would sum to $3000, which is wrong.
So what we do is,
Write a Select stmt for ALL ENTRIES in Data_Package and fetch the records from the target ODS. Have it in an Internal table, say t_ODS1
Take the SalesDoc / Item from the Data_Package and chk if it is present in the internal table t_ODS1.
If it is present, then populate the Amount as ' ' (Blank)
Else populate the Amount as $1000.
Say, you are getting 3 new records, which is not present in the ODS1.
In that case, your internal table t_ODS1 will be blank.
Now again, we need to populate the Amount only for the first record among the 3 records.
So, here comes the "Flag".
Set the Flag as X, when we populate the Amount.
Everytime chk the Flag <> X.
Only if it is <> X, populate the Amount.
Else Leave it Balnk.

i have a requirement where i need to send mail to multiple partner function.
I have created a z action , however it gives option to select only one Partner function.
Is there any way to send mail to multiple Partner function or any workaround for this?

Hello Sangvir,
As stated, you can create multiple actions (if you do that, don't forget to properly tune the action merging). This is the best option, because involves only configuration.
You can also add a few ABAP code in a new implementation of the standard send mail method and add multiple mail destinations in the "To" or "CC" fields. This is simpler than sounds to be. Ask for an ABAPper to analyze the method source code and he/she will adapt it for you in a question of hours.

Calling multiple DB functions in same analysis throws Invalid Identifier

Hi all,
I am trying to invoke multiple database functions using evaluate function in a report, and as soon as I add the second function, I keep running into the below error. As you all know we could call two functions in a single select statement, so I would assume it to work the same way in BI.
State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 17001] Oracle Error code: 904, message: ORA-00904: : invalid identifier at OCI call OCIStmtExecute. [nQSError: 17010] SQL statement preparation failed. (HY000)
Has anyone ran into this issue before ?

997 Functional Acknowledgment update to SAP IDOC

When a 997 returns to my BizTalk system I want to update the status code on the IDOC that was sent to the trading partner. First question is which BAPI would I use to update the status code on the IDOC in SAP. Second question is what is the unique identifier in the 997 Functional Acknowledgment that is returned to me to know which IDOC status code to update.

Thanks. Please seriously consider making both the GetLocalObject and GetLocalInt et al fixes available in 1.5 - as you can imagine, they are cornerstone blocks for building debuggers (which is what I have done).
Is the fix you are testing related to -server or JVMTI itself?

Upload Multiple Pictures function not available for 64-bit Windows and IE 11

Hello!
The problem is as follows:
1) Open Picture library;
2) Open "Upload".
Result: "Upload Multiple Pictures" function is missing. Only "Upload Picture" functions is available.
Specs of my PC = Win 8.1 64-bit + IE 11 + Office 2013 64-bit + Shp Developer Tools 2010.
I have also tried the following configurations and they also doesn't work:
A. Win 7 64-bit + IE 11 + Office 2010 32-bit;
B. Win 8.1 64-bit + IE 11 + Office 2010 64-bit;
C. Win 8.1 64-bit + IE 11 + Office 2010 32-bit.
It does work for IE 10, but that's not the case.
Some more notes:
- For Office 2010 Picture Manager worked fine;
- STSUpld.UploadCtl.dll works fine, I can upload multpile documents;
- Tried to switch on Private browsing, put site in trusted sites.
Do you have some more ideas where to look for a solution? For me it looks like deadend already, I have tried almost everything what I could find on google.

So if you are one of few that are using IE11.you have probably noticed many corruptions and misbehaves in UI. So far I have discovered the following problems:
1.     Calendar web part is extremely corrupted
2.     You will click Settings > Edit Page, Pages will not enter edit mode.
3.     Web Part Properties cannot be modified.
So until we get official CU or SP from SharePoint team, run your sites in compatibility mode.
How to run Compatibility mode: Please find the ways to get the mode.
Way 1:
1.   Press ALT + T when viewing your SharePoint page
2.   Click Compatibility View Settings in the menu that appears
3.   Click Add to add the current SharePoint site to your list of compatibility view pages
4.   Click Close

First, if you use the mouse to grab the top of the plot legend and "pull" it up, multiple plots will appear. The graph node will expect multiple inputs. Does that solve your problem or is there more to it? If it doesn't it would help if you would post the code you have so far.

Creating multiple partner function for a sale order @ header level

Hi All,
I have a requirement where in i have to create more than one partner funtion for a sale order @ header level. But the system did not allow this sort of scenario and i got the error,
Partner function ZZ can only occur 1 times in procedure TA (Sales Document Header)
the function module that was giving this error was SD_PCHECK_PARVW_COUNT_OK
here the function module checks if a partner function already exists if so it throws that error. This also updates the VBPA table where partner function is one of the key fields.
Our issue is that we have to allow the system to enable posting 2 or more partner function for the same sale order. It was also verified that the unique key was unchecked during configuration.
is there any other way of over coming this issue as we are updating the standard table. Is it possible??

I believe this is a configuration setting, based upon the details of your post. Typically, a sales order can have multiple partner functions, but usually the partner type is not duplicated at a single level (header or one item). For example, it would not be logical to have multiple ship-to partners at the header level...these would be unique at the item level, if required.
Speak to your SD functional specialist about the configuration controls for partners, if you must have more than one partner with parvw = ZZ, for the entire order (header level).

Functional Ack - 997

Hi,
Here is a scenario,
B2B is configured to send functional acknowledgement automatically. The Exchange Protocal being used is EDI X12 over generic exchange. Few of our customers require 997s for POs(850) Invoices(810) and ASNs(856).
There is an element called "Funcitonal Identifier Code" which has to be populated in GS-01 and AK1-01
Now the problem is:
1. This element is not getting populated in AK1-01.
2. Though this gets populated, the requirement is that this value is different from the one in GS-01. In GS-01 now its FA, and the value in AK1-01 should be PO.
Please let me know if any settings have to be made to get this AK1-01. I kno w that we can set the value in Document Definition parameters for GS01.

Hello Phani,
Interesting question. Ideally AK1 is used to respond to the functional group header and to start the acknowledgement for a functional group. There shall be one AK1 segment for the functional group that is being acknowledged. This is how
it should work.
1. The incoming business document has one Functional Identifier in the Group which is Code identifying a group of application related transaction sets. Ideally B2B gets this value from the business document and populate in the AK1-01 of
the Functional Acknowledgement. We have tested this in our environment using the default tutorial comes with the product.
2. If you still want to populate something different than the one in the incoming Business document- Functional Group Identifier code , even though it may not be a practical use case you can do this by generating the 997 in the Back end
application and have B2B to translate to EDI and post it to TP.
P.S GS-01 of the FA is not to do anything with AK1-01 of FA, where as AK1-01 of FA is same as GS-01 of Incoming business messages. A sample FA generated is as follows.
