Hello all. Any help you can offer would be much appreciated.
How do I put a spry accordion menu inside a spry accordion menu?
The best example I could find is this flash plugin:

Is something like this even possible using spry accordion
menu components in dreamweaver? Thank you as always for the

I asked this same question and, like you, got no replies. I
came to the conclusion after several hours of playing with the
concept that it is not possible, particularly if you want the
windows to fit the content rather than having a fixed size. I
should say it is possible but the results were not satisfactory for
my design objectives. I decided that I could easily insert an
accordion menu inside spry tabbed menus and get the results I
wanted.

Multiple window menus

Please forgive me. I am a bit embarrassed to even mention Microsoft Movie Maker on this forum, because after using Premiere 6.0 for many years, and now very recently acquireing Premiere Pro CS4, The Microsoft program just feels so clunky and it feels like a very poorly made product, but it has one thing, and only one thing that I liked about it. When you created a menu for your DVD, the menu background had, I think 6 or it was possibly 9 rectangular sections. When you put the DVD into your player, the first thing you saw was this menu. Each of those sections played a different portion of the video on the DVD you had created while it waited for you to hit the play button. So you had 6 or 9 windows giving you a preview of what is on the DVD. I thought that was a clever idea.
Does anyone know how to do something like that with Premiere Pro CS4? Is there a Menu template that I don’t know about right now perhaps?

But to answer your question, yes, Encore can do that., When you set up your menus, select animate buttons and it will play 1st part of each chapter point that you link to each button. You can find more info in help section of Encore and there is a forum for Encore users.

Is there a way to make multiple Scene Menus?

I am using Premiere Elements 8.0 to make a DVD of different slideshows. I was wondering if there is a way to make multiple Scene Menus from a single Main DVD Menu. I want to be able to link to a second scenes menu not connected to the first one, almost like a Deleted Scenes or Special Features option on a DVD.

Not directly in PrE. The Menu Sets are designed to automatically generate the necessary Scene Menus, based on the DVD Markers, and linked from the Main Menu.
One can use an authoring program, like Sony's DVD Architect to do what you want. One would Export/Share the Timeline, and then Import that into DVD Architect.
There are some tutorials, and also a link to Steve Grisetti's book on Sony DVD Architect on the Muvipix site.

Multiple Language Menus

We're getting to the final stages of a multi-language DVD (subtitles and audio) and have been trying to figure the best method to work. Is is best to add languages and use the language sub-menus, or best to add separate menus for each language (3)? I see possible advantages in terms of scripting to each method.
We first set the basic functionality in english, using a language selection screen first and then a Chapters menu. On the Chapters page we are using stories to get around and back to the Chapter menu and are returning to the correct (next) button nicely. Be nice if this was this direct in the other languages so we wouldn't need to add a script for the 15 buttons.
We have added subtitles and have those working as well. We also have added the dubbed audio tracks. We've got the basic scripting of those elements, but now to get it all together.
Our Language Selection screen leads to language specific intro tracks, after which the viewer jumps to the Chapter selection menu. Do we need to specify which language via GPRM here? The problem I see is that I don't see how to get to a language-specific menu.
As above we added languages and have created the foreign text via photoshop layers. But will the user return to the appropriate language menu? I see how to script via GPRM, but the jump returns to the menu. Would the menu default to the player's language?
I've been looking high and low for resources and have some good stuff about GPRM scripting, but nothing that addresses the menu language issue.
Leads and ideas appreciated.

Not getting an answer on this as the "BEST" way, and finding the manual (and other training book I bought on DVDSP) decidedly thin I tried it in two ways:
I first set up the disc in english and established the menu architecture and flow. We have a language selection screen first that leads users – after a language specific intro track – to a language-specific main chapter menu. We setup our stories to work in english first. We established the buttons for the other languages on that first page.
We tried to design the rest of it in two ways: via DVDSP multiple languages; and (the way that worked) through connecting menus (actually without referring to other languages on the DVD level) logically. That is to say we setup a Chinese menu, a Spanish Chapter menu, but they were an English language menu (according to the DVD authoring) that had Chinese characters or Spanish words on it and referred to Chinese (A3(Mandarin), A4(Cantonese) S3 Chinese subtitles) or Spanish (A2, S2) system streams.
USING DVDSP to setup languages:
We added languages after establishing the architecture. This is great (in theory) because the stories and button jumps are copied into the foreign language sub-menus. All worked well EXCEPT jumping to the language specific sub-menu. I could set the jump to the menu, but couldn't figure how to jump to the specific language menu. I had scripted system streams for each of the dubbed audio and subtitle streams (all worked as advertised) but didn't know how to set the main language. with our three languages. When I added languages and DVDSP created separate menus (sub-menus? additional layered meus?) for each language (our main CHAPTERS page). But how to get there. It seems that the only way is to adjust the SPRM or language detection on the PLAYER level. But how can an english player view the Chinese menu?
I was able to use photoshop files to make each language menu (sub-menu?) with appropriate words and characters. But I couldn't get my head around how to get to each of the language menus. I could find only one menu: the Main Chapter selection Menu.
WHAT WORKED:
As mentioned above we simply created logical architecture that led to different language menus that were language specific in terms of look, but still – from an authoring level – inside the DVD's one language (English).
One reason this is a decent solution is that the disc will be distributed, primarily, to foreign language speakers inside the US. I do think the client would like to find more foreign distribution, but that is secondary to US distribution.
A note is that even in the case of the disc playing in a DVD-player set to a foreign SPRM, I believe the player will read the language of the disc. It simply looks for the primary language of the player first. True?
I offer all this that someone might say: The easy way to use foreign languages on a DVD is THIS WAY. Otherwise why add multiple languages? With decent, CLEAR methods maybe then Apple could write that in the manual and save me and others a heck of a lot of time hacking around doing the same thing people before us did already.

Multiple Language Menus Without Multiple Menus

Hey everybody!
Happy New Years everyone. Hopefully, soeone out there can help me with this little problem. I am creating a DVD for a school, and it is designed to promote the school overseas. So this means that each menu has to be displayed in multiple languages (seven, to be precise). Now, I've done the english ones, and the total size comes to 1.1GB. Is there any way that I can make these menus display the text in other languages without creating each menu again another six times?
The way I've got it set up is that the first menu allows you to pick which lanuage you want to use. So altogether there are 8 menus, and that is just for the english reading world. Can I then make it so that I only need these 8 menus and so if you select Chinese in the first menu, it will take you to the english menu, except display the text in Chinese? I know this is confusing, and I'm orry.
Basically, can I make the DVD siplay different languages using only 8 menus, or do I have to make 56 menus (8 for each language).

Multiple drop menus in formulas

Hi there, i am using my mac os x 10.6.8 with Numbers 09 and am very new to creating formulas. I am using a template and am making my own alterations. As you can see in the pic attached i have one spreadsheet (transaction) that all information is entered and from there i want that information to be directed to the corresponding "account" gaph. Eg each graph is a seperate account, from the transaction spreadsheet i have drop down menus set up for each account and for each category. Am I able to have both account and category drop menu in the formula for the relative corresponding graph? Is there a way i can achieve this? Thank you for your assitance. L

you want to sum amounts when they meet two conditions:
1) The account matches the table you are summing in
2) the category matches
to do this you use the SUMIFS() function which allows more than one condition to sum a particular row.
I would suggest adding a new header row to each summary table and in cell A1 store the account type (AMX, Master Card, Goal Saver, etc).
so the current formula:
B2=sumif($Category, A2, Transactions :: Amount)
should change to (move down a row because we added one more header row):
B3=sumifs(Transactions :: Amount, Transactions :: Account, $A$1, Transactions :: Category, A3)
Duplicate this table and change the account in cell A1

Adobe muse. Multiple side menus

if you follow the link to this website you will see that there are two sun menus running at the lower left hand side which help to sub categorise projects. Firstly there is a distinction between programme and then whether the project is a 'drawing' or 'built' work. When either of the sub menu categories are selected a portion of the projects on the list are greyed out which are not relevant. I have found an easy way to do this in adobe muse when i have only one subcategory but cannot seem to find a way when I have two different sets of sub categories which both relate ... Any ideas?? Muse uses Fixed width Layouts so that is not 100% possible. You can extend images and box elements to full width but not actual content.

You can also take a look at the SAP TechDemo, it contains a two level menu.

Motion Menus *Multiple menus problem(

Hi all!
Yesterday I created a motion menu according to another post here. The main issue I was trying to solve was this:
I want the viewer (ie the person watching it) to see a short animation when they navigate around in the menu.
By that I mean that when the choose button number 2 it evolves from a semi-transparent button to a full color one.
This I could accomplish by making multiple motion menus and choosing auto action in the Inspector.
However - the auto action doesn't seem to work when hovering the buttons with the mouse. Is there a way to make this work or not?
If there isn't I have to think again I guess.
Too bad since it was a pretty smart way to work around it.

Multiple menus with varying numbers of buttons?

Can I have multiple disc menus with varying numbers of buttons on each? 6 buttons on 1st menu, 5 on next, 6 on last? When I add scene markers, it seems to want to 'fill up' a menu with 6 then automatically moves on to the next menu. I want only 5 on a menu then 6 on the next. It keeps putting the new button on the menu with only 5 buttons. Thanks...

Do you have Photoshop, or Photoshop Elements?
If you do, with some, very careful work, you can alter the Scene Selection Menus, but you will want to do so, only if you understand the conventions of a PrE Menu Set, and their structure. Also, if you do so, do NOT Save over the existing DVD Menu Set Templates, but in a separate folder. We can give you steps, but I strongly suggest that if one is not familiar with the structure and conventions, they spend some time studying the Menu Set Templates in PS, or PSE, until it's very clear what needs to be done.
Possible, but one needs that understanding first, and then they need to know their way around Photoshop/Photoshop Elements. I think that it is best to go with the design of the DVD Menu Set Templates, or perhaps stop by Muvipix.com, and see if they offer a Menu Set, that is more in keeping with what you want already. Those are very inexpensive, and are very nice.

You can only see the menu of one responsibility at a time, so how to do you expect the application to let you see multiple responsibilities/menus in one session?
You could open another session and this way you can access more than one responsibility at the same time.

Multiple quicktimes on same page, same place

Hopes this makes sense but what I would like is a blank white page with multiple "text menus (hyperlinks)" on the left side of the page that when selected will activate appropriate quicktimes that will then open on the same page, but on the right side.
However, I don't want to see the quicktimes or a quicktime window until it is selected. Then, after the quicktime has played it should disappear and then if another option is chosen from the menu on the left, another quicktime will pop up in exactly the same place. I need this to happen at least 5 times per page.
I'm trying to figure out how to do this without creating a whole new identical page that would be activated and then have to load. All I want to load for each link is the QT's that would appear on that same page, in exactly the same place on the right.

Is there any way to change user operations on multiple tracks at once?

I have a complex project (99 tracks, dozens of menus and scripts). I need to make one version of this DVD for the end client (teenagers at health clinics) who will be forced to view it in a specified way, and another version for educators (staff at the clinics) who will be allowed to fast-forward and have access to a menu from which they can jump to different points in the DVD.
I have different menus to serve as "first play" for these different versions so that I can easily switch between versions when burning disc images, and I have set up GPRMs to make navigation different for the two versions automatically. My problem now is that I want to disable forward scan, next program, root menu, and title menu for the client version. As far as I can tell, I have to do that independently for every single track and menu. Bleah. This is especially annoying since the DVD is still in development, so I am continuing to change small things and will need to keep both versions up to date as I do.
Is there any way to select multiple tracks/menus and change user operations on all of them? Or any other work-around or script that could do it? I thought this would be a perfect task for the automator, but I'm not very familiar with that application and don't know how (or if it's possible) to create new actions other than the ones that are available.
Any ideas?

Thanks. But the disc inspector only appears to let me change things like where the title menu button takes you, not detailed user operations. I have pretty much given up on this being anything other than a giant hassle, but if anybody knows whether a script could do this, I would be eternally grateful.
