Multiple Account email question

I have a question regarding email. I have a primary account (eg. [email protected]) and set up an alias for my child to use (eg. [email protected]). Little johnny has is own 'account' on my iMac. When we log in to his account and launch Mac Mail it asks for password- I enter my primary password for the [email protected] account but that doesnt work. I thought the alias was a good way for parental control and intro to Mail to a youngster. Is this not the correct (or best) way? Do I need to purchase an entire new .mac account??

You can add multiple accounts in Outlook and use them separately. But to transfer your emails from Mac Thunderbird you first need to convert the emails of Thunderbird to .PSt format in order to import into Outlook Windows.
There are multiple options available online as this is a common issue.

Multiple account email sending to another ipad

I have two email accounts. Other user has purchased own ipad and is on holiday other side of world.
My emails to her seem to be just going to other account without going external. The first indication is no 'swith' sound on send action.
Second indication is email in her account on my ipad.
So I finally came across the setting account tab and turned off the account email. I do not want to delete the account.
On two tries still no swithing sound. Last try was after rebooting ipad with red slider.

You are both accessing the same email account with the Mail app on each iPad?
Are the sent emails in the account's Sent mailbox on your iPad that sent the emails? If so, the email was successfully sent. An email that was not successfully sent will not be in the account's Sent mailbox.
If the email was successfully sent and recevied by the same email account that is being accessed on each iPad, the email was received by that email account.

Multiple Account Mgmt question

I am having some difficulty mastering the Owner/Permissions account managment features. Probably user error but.. I have set up 3 separate accounts for kids in the house- all on one iMac. They are "managed" accounts with I think "simple finder" capability. 1. I can not seem to assign screensavers individually as I cant access that task when logged into kid's account and I dont see the ability to do that for all the accounts when logged into primary account (I did figure out how to set background pictures for each) 2. Kids app icons dont show up on dashboard bar- only in an unamed (and unnameable) folder on the bar and finally 3. Is there any way I can attempt to do all this admin stuff w/o having to log in/out constantly??

Hi there
When logged into your kids account click on the finder menu and there should be an option to go to full finder (provided simple finder is on). You will be prompted for your admin password. Once entered you should be able to change the accounts as you please. When you are finished click on the finder menu again and there should be an option to return to simple finder.

Multiple Accounts on One Email ID

I have recently tried to recover my password and was asked for my email address which i gave, and shortly received an email for reset token, as got redirected to the password change page, they said there are multiple accounts register on my Email ID, and when i checked the skype names registered on my ID, there are 5 skype names amoung which only one is actually mine.
Point is how 5 accounts possibly got registered on my email address when i have not received any authentication email for those. And somehow if all those accounts have been registered how can I get rid of those fake accounts which are ofcourse not mine?
help!

Please contact Skype customer service for assistance in unlinking these unwanted accounts from your registered e-mail address. In theory, you could also change the passwords for these rogue accounts, take control of them, and then file a request with Skype Customer Service that the accounts be removed/deleted.

I have several Iphones for my business for managers to use.
I would like to set them up to send me the recovery emails but it seems only one icloud address can do that.
Is it possible to have multiple icloud email accounts using the same - seperate recovery email address?

Unfortunately, you cannot change your primary @me.com or @icloud.com email address, you could however create an alias or create a completely new account.

This sounds like the age old problem with keychain & Safari. I don't know of a way to solve it without using something like 1Password.
The iOS app has it's own built in browser, so it has more control over what gets autofilled. Safari on OS X has an 1Password extension that handles account selection & autofill etc.
Keychain is great in principle, but it quickly falls down when you need tight integration with many ID's & different use cases (work, home etc).
I'd suggest you submit feedback to Apple about your thoughts. I did so years ago about this issue & this is how far we have come (back to the point where me.com synced passwords) :^)

Other tools like lastpass or keypassx may also help if you want to truly segregate password storage, but that doesn't fix autofill, the way around that issue is to dedicate one browser for work.

Each email address can only be on one iTunes account, and all purchases are tied to the account that buys them. If you want to have separate iTunes accounts on each then you will need separate email accounts for each iTunes account

Multiple Mac Email Accounts

I have .Mac and an email account but want to be able to set up another email account within .Mac so that other family members can have their own [email protected] accounts.
How can this be done? Looking at the configuration it appears that multiple accounts can be set up but it gives me an error when creating automatically.

Multiple accounts with same email

I have multiple accounts with same email
The one that has all my contacts is the one attached to FB but for some odd reason I can no longer access this specific account
When I try to reset my password, it only keeps asking me to change my FB password
Once I try logging in on Skype, it keeps asking my FB to connect to the other 2 Skype accounts, completely diffente usernames
I am only interested in the one that originally connected to my FB as it has all my contacts
As my other 2 accounts are my old Skype accounts and have my old contacts from years ago

Actually this morning I was able to log on the account from an iPad with no fuss but the pc refuses to sign in^^^!???! "Skype couldn't connect" - What is going on???
I also found out that I could sign in via a browser but not via skype program... So I uninstalled it and installed it again and it's working now...
I have now changed the email so I don't have 3 accounts with the same primary email as Skype seems to not being able to handle multiple accounts with same email!!!

We need to implement Item-Based Workflow Approval. The CC Owner should approve only the items assigned to his/her CC.    We'll do this reading R3(CO) data.
Thats not the problem.
The problem is: I need to use Multiple Account Assignment. I'll distribute one time in 3 o more CC.   Is it possible to have an CC-Based Workflow Approval ?   I mean, The CC owner should approve partly the item assigned to his/her CC.
Anybody knows something ?

In my understanding you want to define one or several level of approval depending on the CC assignement on each item.
lets take an example:
CC1 owner approver1, CC2 owner approver2 and CC3 approver3
For a SC:
-Item 1: 20% on CC1, and 80% on CC2
-Item 2: 20% on CC1, and 60% on CC2, and 20% on CC3
Then in the item level BADI, you'll define:
-Item1:
Level1 ==> approver1
Level2 ==> approver2
-Item2:
Level1 ==> approver1
Level2 ==> approver2
Level3 ==> approver3
I had this requirement on a project, and the hard part was not the BADI implementation, but the CC owner link with the SRM users (cause all approvers have to be declared on the SRM, and integrated in the SRM org plan).

Not receiving emails to reset account email - tried multiple accounts

My current account is [email protected] When I try to login into iCloud it's asking me to reset my ID. In order to do this, it wants a non-recovery email, email. I've tried multiple accounts, and checked spam folders etc, and not receiving a recovering email. I haven't had access to the @mac.com email for years now. I'd like to be able to have my mac account be under the email: [email protected] All of my purchases are on the account: [email protected], so I can't create a new account.

Besides all the troubleshooting things you've tried, all I can think of is your Profiles have changed, and your email notification was changed to None. This could have happened if you had been using a custom profile, then switched to one of the default ones (quiet, normal, loud). When I stop getting calendar notifications, I do a battery pull and they start coming in again.
EDITED: After rereading your post, I see it's not the notifications that are the problem, it's that you're not receiving the messages themselves? Did you reregister and resend service books (there's another thread on this)? Or call customer service from another line and they'll troubleshoot for you.

Receiving Email from Multiple Accounts?

Is there some way of receiving email from multiple accounts in one centralized account? It was automatic with my Blackberry. Having to switch back and forth between accounts is a pain, and potentially dangerous if driving. If the iPhone email app can't do it, is there a third-party app that can?

As opposed to just reading your email all accumulated into one inbox while driving - that's perfectly safe, right?? I'm sure not having to switch from one email account to another while driving frees up your attention for more important things, such as reading the newspaper or doing a crossword puzzle.
