Multiple Account Ranges - Row Expand

When assigning accounts to row sets, you must identify the display type. The choices are T = Total, E = Expand and B = Both (Expand & Total).
My question deals with multiple account ranges. When I enter multiple account ranges, I don't get the desired results - expanded (detail) and one total. The excerpt below says you must use T if you assingn "multiple account ranges to a row and you want to total them".
How do I get the detail for multiple account ranges and one total??
Excerpt from User Guide:
Additional Information: To specify just one account rather than a range, enter the same account as the Low and High.
If you leave a segment blank, FSG will process all values for that segment.
4. Enter a Display type for each account segment.
Note: You must use a display type of T (Total) for each segment if you assign:
' Accounts to a column.
' Multiple account ranges to a row and you want to total them. See Display Types.
B: (Both) Expand and total the range and display all segment values and a total balance for the segment values. This option lets you display both detail rows and total rows. If you enter a parent segment value for your range, FSG totals all of the child values for that parent. Do not select summary reporting to display all the child values in your report.

The best solution for this issue is 1) to define separate row lines for each of your account ranges and use the display type of "E" for each row line and 2) to define another row line which is the total of the rows which you expanded on above. This row can either be a calculation of the rows above or an account assignment using the same multiple account ranges above with the display type of "T".

    I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
    At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
    The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
    I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
    You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

    in a training document I found to possibility of multiple key ranges, to make an input schedule sheet more attractive or insert rows with excel formulas etc.
    For example: ColKeyRange: EVRNG(H13:J13;M13:O13)
    RowKeyRange: EVRNG(G15:G20;L15:L20)
    In my case I want the balance sheet separated. On the left side asset positions, on the right side liability positions (in columns for bot: Previous Year | Actual | Plan
    If I define my input schedule like that it gets messed up. No figures, weird formatting etc. Have you implemented an input schedule with multiple key ranges and did it work ok?

    Hi Cora,
    Yes, multiple key ranges do work, but it is a bit complicated as Dzmitry suggests. Your example row expansion will not work, as the row expansion needs to remain in the same columns for each part of the expansion. (In other words, EVRNG(G15:G20;L15:L20) is wrong but EVRNG(G15:G20;G25:G30) is ok.) To achieve your result, Dzmitry is correct that you will probably need to use two EVDREs.
    That said, multiple expansions work as follows:
    If you are not using an expansion, or you use NOEXPAND in your columns or rows, you can use a multiple key range for formatting purposes and simply hardcode in the members that you wish to see in each key range.
    If you want to see different expansions in each key range, then you need to use a special expansion syntax. To take your example, say you have a single dimension in your column with column range defined EVRNG(H13:J13;M13:O13). You could have your column expansion on the category dimension be "PRIORYR,ACTUAL,PLAN|PLAN,ACTUAL,PRIORYR", giving you the same set of categories reversed in each column.

    i've this problem about purchase data: to extract these data i'm using 2lis_02_itm and 2lis_02_Scl DS.
    but i need in the same query the account assignement for PO (these data are in EKKN table).
    in a first time i've enhanced the DS, but with Multiple account assignement i don't have correct data (because i've used select single in CMOD).
    now i don't know how to enhance the DS with Multiple account assignement, could you help me ?
    (a solution is doing an ODS with EKKN data and make an infoset with an other ODS with data from LIS extractor, but i prefer to enhance the DS)

    You are not able to enhance 2lis_02* datasources to give you the information wanted. The problem is that you need to split one line into multiple lines. I'm as well not sure that you'll get a good result from an infoset as you’ll get performance problems due to the needed join on document , line level and a possible outer join (not all documents will show up in EKKN). A better solution will be to source EKKN to a separate ODS, source 2lis_02* into separate ODS’s and then create a new ODS sourcing data from the 2lis_02* ODS where you read the EKKN ODS in the start routine and uses that info to create extra rows if needed.

  • Multiple Number Ranges for AP Document Type not getting triggered

    We are posting receivables in the system using BAPI_CTRACDOCUMENT_CREATE. We have huge data of 3.9 million records for which receivables has to be posted. So multiple number ranges has been configured in the system for AP document type.
    The issue is even though multiple number ranges for mass processing are configured in the below location in SPRO, none of them are getting triggered. The number range at the first level on the screen is only getting triggered, due to this it is taking lot of time to post documents. Any help on this?

    Mass ranges are only used for FICA parallel mass activities.  For your situation, you can define and assign multiple ranges for individual processing in the same IMG activity.  Those would then be chosen for your mass postings.

  • Reporting for multiple Accounts by Partner dimension for multiple Entities

    Hi all,
    I have a report in Reporting Studio which uses a Sum column formula to add data for all the members selected in a prompt for the Entity dimension (which is in the columns of the report).
    In the rows I have 2 dimensions, Partner and Account. I have the report set up to display the children of Partner and multiple accounts for each Partner. The issue I am having is that I would need to actually calculate one of the account totals (it is a Yield account) since summing the yields for partners is not valid.
    I can't just pull out and calculate the Yield accounts though because the accounts need to be listed by Partner.
    Is there a way to group two rows so that I can pull out and calculate the Yield account but still display the accounts by Partner?
    So I was thinking:
    Partner A Account 1, Account 2
    Partner A Yield
    Partner B Account 1, Account 2
    Partner B Yield
    I can't hardcode this as there are hundreds of Partners. If there is a way to set up auto-calculate to Average only the Yield accounts, that would work as well in theory.
    Any help would be appreciated. If any clarification is needed just let me know.

    There are too many possible department combinations to actually create member formulas for each one.
    The formula for Yield is Revenue/Units. So an example would be $100,000 revenue divided across 1,000,000 units gives a Yield of 0.10.
    The more I think about this problem, the more I realize that this may not possible. If a manual calculation is required I would need to have it so that I'm able to match up the children of Revenue with the children of Units in order to calculate the various Yields. From my experience this isn't possible. I am staying away from hard-coding in the report as it would create issues down the road.
    If there is some way to utilize auto-calculation that may be the only solution.
    Any other thoughts would be appreciated though.

    I am building a report that uses Multiple Key Ranges, both column and row, as shown below.

    My formatting range has a line with HEADING="GREYBG" in the Criteria column.
    However, when I use keywords in my COL Heading area, only the column heading on the first key range is used.  For example, if I use a keyword GREYBG in cell N168, it wonu2019t apply to my second data range.  The second data range is formatted only from what is in the first column header.
    Is this the normal behavior?  Is there any way to make the second data range use the formatting from the second column header?

    I would not use the code_combination_id. That code_combinaition_id is incremented by one for each new account, so unless you happened to create all your accounts in the right sequential order (not likely), then you cannot do a range of FROM code id a TO code id b. Do an SQL against the code combinations table and sort on the segments columns and take a look at the code combination id on each row, and I think you will see that they jump around quite a bit. I think you can only rely on using the segment columns values for doing an account range.

  • Help with Contacts - IDs and Multiple Accounts

    I am involved in the process of migrating accounts and contacts into ByDesign, but have come across a couple of questions that I can't seem to find an answer to anywhere!
    Firstly, is it possible to specify the 'Contact ID' reference range. I have found how to set the Account ID for suppliers and customers, and also how to set the Employee ID for employees within Fine Tuning, but cannot seem to find the same feature for the Contact ID. Is it possible to set this field up to have a certain amount of digits, and between certain values when automated?
    My other question regards having contacts linked to more than one account. I understand it is possible to have a contact linked to multiple accounts, but how? Is it possible from the Migration Templates? Is it a simple case of using the same Contact ID and information, but differing Account IDs on the 'Contacts' tab of the Template?
    Any help is much appreciated.

    You should not be using some other user's icloud account on your devices.  That's not how icloud is designed, because if you edit/delete data on the device that ties to the other user's icloud account, then those changes will automatically sync to their devices - something I don't think you two want happenning.
    If you want to keep your work data separate from personal data, then depending on what databases you want to use, like contacts or calendars, you could use a single icloud account and define groups in contacts, for exampe, some for work and some for personal.  Same thing with calendars, define different calenders for each environment.  Some databases like email may be problematic, however, I would think that work emails involve a non-icloud email account, so you could use the icloud email for personal use.
    The other approach is to define and use two icloud accounts and for each device, decide which account to use.  Having one device that uses both work and personal data would be a problem.

    Which only works if all user accounts use the SAME iTunes account. This is not what the original question was. I have 2 iTunes accounts and 1 Mac. I have 2 user accounts setup and each account uses a seperate iTunes account. The problem is since they introduced this ridiculous 90 day rule when switching iTunes accounts this no longer works. I was happily using my current acount and when I switched to the older account to download my old movies I bought on it I got hit with the "you have to wait 90 days before switching iTunes accounts" when I tried to go back to my original account.
    This has broken and ruined what used to be a great system. Let me explain:
    Back in 2000 when you bought a DVD you could take this DVD with you to your friends house and pop it in their player and enjoy the movie.
    Fast forward to future where no-one wants shiny disc or any other physical medium you go to your friends place and log into your account and watch the movie that way. Simple easy... till the 90 day rule.
    I fully understand the logic behind it (protecting their IP), but it breaks the system for legit users. Copyright has always stood in the way of progress. There isn't a single copyright protection on shiny disc that has not been broken. All that engineering effort, time and money and you can download a free app to break it.
    You cannot stop piracy, just like you cannot stop thieves. You can however try and catch them AFTER the act and punish them. This 90 day rule is like not allowing you to walk into the same store more than once in 3 months in case you might have stolen something the first time you where there. It's a stupid way to prevent something that is un-preventable.
    There are many ways to get around the 90 day rule for people that do want to pirate someone elses library, but it does completely block someone who is just trying to use his own purchased media in a legit way. Stupid...
    I am now forced to own 2 seperate computers just to access my 2 iTunes accounts.

    Hello, I've poked around at some of the posts dealing with sharing one iTunes music library across multiple accounts on the same Mac but it seems like this can only be done if the libary is moved to a shared folder. I realize this can be done but I was trying to share it the way it is described in a post on Apple support (See link below.). That post seemed to imply that you don't have to move the library from its original location (owned by account A, e.g.), rather just make a couple preference changes in the accounts, use fast user switching and voila. That doesn't seem to work. So my question is this: Is the only way to share one iTunes music library across multiple accounts on the same Mac to move it to a shared folder? I'm running 10.4.8 on an Intel iMac. Thanks in advance!

    After reading this and several other related threads, I am becoming thoroughly confused about all of this. I have a situation similar to the one that pokerpal described in the post dated January 7 at 8:06 pm, except that the music files on my system are located on an external hard drive. Everything else is pretty much the same though - I am the admin user (and the main iTunes user and maintainer) and my girlfriend is a standard user who has no music in her own iTunes library. She can see and listen to and make playlists from and sync her iPod with the music in this library from her account, and I can do the same thing, independent of her, from my account. And if I make a change to information within a song, she doesn't see it, and vice versa, and I understand that. What I don't understand is why when I add a song or an album to the music files by importing a CD or downloading something from the iTunes Music Store, she has no way of knowing that unless I tell her, and then she can add it to her library by using the "Add to Library" function. Is there no way of automatically updating her library files to add the new song(s)? We have almost 15,000 songs and videos in that library, and I don't even want to think about what might have to happen if the answer to my question is "no." Interestingly enough, if I put an update to a Word document in the same exact location (on the hard drive), we can update that and pass it back and forth all day - why is that such a difficult task for iTunes to accomplish?
    Sorry I went on so long, but this has been building up for some time, and none of the solutions I've read about here have really been of any help, so I'm a bit frustrated and, as I said at the beginning, confused.

    Unfortunately you can't do the logical and convenient thing of authorizing a computer with multiple Adobe IDs that are active simultaneously.
    You can authorize accounts from different vendors; one account per vendor.
    If you have multiple operating system users set up on the computer,  you can register different OS users as different Adobe Account users.

    In the request f-27 tr.code give the purchase order which item you want to give ie., for above said example 10 is a line item of 4500024875 - purchase order and beside you have to mention
    10(lineitem) 4500024875 (purchase order) 2009 (year)
    and system will take that request against the above purchase order.

  • GR and GR Non Val indicator in R/3 PO for multiple account assigned SC's

    Hi,
    We are on SRM 3.0(EBP 4.0) and R/3 4.7.
    We have implemented the BBP_CREATE_PO_BACK badi for setting or clearing the GR and IR indicators under certian conditions.
    But for Multiple account assigned SC's we get an error message "06181 With non-valuated GR, please also enter GR i ndicator ".
    We have tried implementing note# 872000, but this has not solved the issue.
    The PO's get created only if we force the GR indicator when transferring the data into R/3.
    It seems clear that while creating the PO the system is encountering the GR Non Val indicator but not the GR indicator, so its throwing the error message (we get the same error message when we create the PO from R/3 with GRnon val indicator checked and GR ind unchecked).
    The proposed solution is that in the same BADI, along with clearing the GR indicator, we will also clear the GR non val indicator.
    This can solve the issue if the indicators are transferred as it is from EBP.
    But can anyone tell me if these indicators are also checked/changed in any FM/program in R/3 before the PO is created?
    Is there any customizing setting which is affecting this particular behaviour?

    Materials Management->Account Assignment->Maintain Account Assignment Categories
    Here you can untick the indicator you want by account assignment category;
