Multiple action while hiring a person ?

Hi All,
Is it posible to take multipal action like give a promotion at the same time in hire a person..

Yes, it is possible I think. Never tried it though.
In your infogroup first fill in all the infotypes which are required for hiring. Once all the infotypes for hiring are filled give the infotypes for promotion.
But It would be advisible to hire the employee first in a HIRE action and then promote him in another action because you would not always like to promote an employee on hiring. So better hire first then promote.
As said above your will have to activate the additional actions to log actions performed on the same day but make sure that you dont perform status changing actions on the same day like hire and terminate or else the latest action will overwrite the first record.

When tagging photos there are multiple entries for the same person listed. In particular for three people (my kids) who have a lot of photos for each person. On the Cork board there is only one entry per person, so this is not a multiple face entry there.
I was living with this for a while, but now I have my iPhone and can sync faces photos with it, I can see again there are multiple entries listed for these three people, yet there's nothing I can do in iPhoto to consolidate them.
Has anyone else come across this (like the person in the above thread - which didn't get answered) and found a solution to fix up iPhoto? Clearly it's something odd going on in the Faces database thinking there are different entries tagged, but is still showing them together in the Cork Board.

I would like to know how you got the multiple entries to appear. I'm having the same problem with my daughter. The only issue is, she is two and does not have any address book entries. I think I may have typed her name out several times when adding her name to a face instead of associating the photo with the existing entry. iPhoto recognizes they are the same places in some places, but not in others. I started a new post...

How to apply multiple actions on a single file in one go to generate multiple watermarked pdfs?

usually i need to create many watermarked datasheets for different customers using a single base pdf. currently i run individual actions for individual customers on the same file which means i have to runs 10s of individual actions every time i have new source file. can i make a single action or a script which will take a single source file, run multiple actions(~15-20) for watermarks and save these files separately? basically what i need is instead of running many individual actions i run a single action/script to make it automatic. if yes, how to do so?

You can achieve this by assigning a secondary extension to another button, but this might not be what you want, so if you can elaborate a little further as to what you want exactly I can help you with putting together a solution

Making infotype 41 mandatory while hiring...

Hi Experts,
We have a requirement of making 41 IT as mandatory while hiring.
We have added the infotype in the info group, but the user is still able to skip it using the next button while hiring.
Request you to let me know, whether it is possible through any user exit or badi or any other way?

Actually the issue is here that IT 41 should be updated with a customized data type Z4 which use union senority date specific to USA employee. And it does not have any logic to determine the value while run time. So we could not place a user exit or dynamic action for it.
Client requires the user should enter it while hiring or rehire and should not be able to skip 41 without entering the date type Z4.
From all the replies I conclude that stoping the user from skipping a infotype is impossible. Only we can initialize the Z4 value or display pop-up information.

Dynamic Actions with Multiple Actions Capability
How can I get Dynamic Actions to work on Actions that are stored solely on IT0302 due to the multiple relationship to a previous Action that is stored on both IT0302 and IT0000?
When multiple actions on a given day are executed, the dynamic action from the first action entered is executed twice - when it should only execute the first time with the second actions dynamic action triggering the second time.

When there are multiple actions with the same effective date the wrong dynamic action is triggered. For example, if I have an Expat Return To Home action followed by an Internal Move action with the same effective date the below events occur:
1. IT0001 is updated due to Expat Return to Home - triggering the Dynamic Action off of IT0000 which is Expat Return to Home (Correct)
- Action is stored on IT0000 and IT0302
2. IT0001 is updated due to Internal Move - triggering the Dynamic Action off of IT0000 which is Expat Return to Home (Incorrect - background processing creates data not needed)
- Action is stored only on IT0302
Question:
How can we leverage Multiple Actions with the same effective date while continuing to use Dynamic Actions?

Hi,
You might have defined your action type (Table T529A)). For that action, you might have defined an infogroup. Go to that infogroup (Table V_T588D) and select your User group. For example, if your Infogroup is 10 and User group is 01, entry should be in the following manner:
User Group No Operation Infotype Infotype Text Subtype
01 03 INS 0006 Addresses 002
This should work.

is it coming as soon as you entered in PA40? or
is it coming in a particular infotype? if so what is that infotype and what value you are inputing in that screen?
please make sure the value you are giving in the screen is properly configured. also check the T588D & T529A with respect to UGR and IGMOD.

Hi,
While refreshing the WEBI Reports would recommend you check the WEBI PROCESSING Server's last changed date from CMC--> Servers.
Check when you are refreshing the reports, do you see the time stamp changed of WEBI PROCESSING servers?
Do you keep getting this error messages for all WEBI reports? Can you re-produce this with simple e-fashion reports as well?
After that go to the node where WEBI PROCESSING servers installed and check on the event viewer details if you see any relevant error messages.

Error Message AM057 while deleting contact person

Hi,
Recently, our company consolidated the SAP platforms for two regions and it is single instance now. The data is migrated to the new system by SLO. After this we are facing an issue while deleting the contact person in customer master. When we select the contact person and delete, we get a message saying "Specify a valid person use (PERSON_REFERENCE)". When we press enter, another entry (above the intended entry) gets deleted.
The performance assistant shows nothing but message no. AM057.
Based on the couple of OSS notes I have searched, I checked the table ADRVP entries and found two entries for that contact person. Both entries have the client number appearing in the field APPL_KEY.
The first record is having old client number and the second record is having the new client number. I presume, we are seeing two records because the data was migrated by SLO. But what is confusing is, both are having same addr.no. and marked as X for Owner (Flag: Adress owner object reference).
Data in table ADRVP looks as under.

I'll try to make this clear. I USED to be able to left click on a hyper link and the hyper link would open in a NEW tab. Now for some unknown reason the hyper link by default opens in the same tab (window). I have to right click the hyper link in order for it to open in a NEW tab. (Yes, my 'tools'> 'options'> 'tabs' are set to "open new windows in a new tab." (Please no answers telling me to get rid of the Ask toolbar because I don't have one.) Thank you.

Printing from the iPhone either requires an AirPrint compatible printer, or an app from the App Store. You would have to search to see if they are free or cost. Also, the printing of text messages would either require you to make a screen shot of the message and to print that as a photo, or you would need a 3rd party software on the computer to copy the entire message to the computer and print from there. There is no native print capability for entire message threads.

How to check which action is completed in a Process having Multiple Actions

     In a GP that we designed, a Process contains multiple actions, so what we want to achieve is after 1st Action is completed i.e once 1st Approver approves the request, next action is executed wherein a Notification Workitem in his/her UWL is sent to initiator to notify the approvers action whether it rejected or approved.
     My question is when a Initiator starts a process, then he/she is not able to start the same process again, unless & until the process is finished, but now the requirement is, if 1st Level Approver i.e 1st Action, is completed, we need to allow the Initiator to start a new process of same name in-spite of 2nd Action & previously started process is not completed.
     Please let me know if I can find whether in a Process a particular Action is completed or not.

Can i call multiple actions sequentially in a separate action/script?

i execute multiple actions on a single file. usually these actions number more than 20. is there a way to automate invoking of these actions so that i run something only once and all smaller actions are applied sequentially and automatically on the same file?

You can combine the commands in all of these Actions to a single Action,
but you can't call them automatically one after another if they're separate.

Names of objects for multiple actions in different slides

I am trying to develope an interactive software guide which
requires something like a panel to insert it in each slide. This
panel contains precise instructions on how tu use the interface
visible in the current slide.
The problem is that sometimes the panel hides part of the
interface. I would like to have a button somewhere in each slide so
that the student can simply hide the panel when is obscuring
something important. I don´t have any problem for preparing
one panel for one slide using multiple actions for hiding or
showing the panel, captions, buttons, etc. But the problem is that
in each slide the similar objects have different names assigned
automatically by Captivate. I found no way to assign same names in
different slides so that afterwards, assigning multiple actions
would be only a matter of copy and paste from slide to slide. I
tried to think something with variables but I gave up.
I am using Captivate 4 Trial. Somebody has a nice good idea?

Inorder to give same name to the objects in different slides,
there is a workaround. Immediately after opening a project, give
the same name to the objects in different slides.
