Multiple AE imports

I have to import multiple compositions from an After Effects project every day. What's really frustrating is that there is no group import option. The Premiere import window opens and lists all compositions in a project. I can select one and import it, but there's no way (I can see) of selecting more than one composition. So, in order to open multiple compositions, I have to select import, select a composition, import and repeat for each individual composition, which on average is 18 separate files. Tedious..
Is there any way around this?

Thanks for your Post. I also faced the same issue while importing multiple After effects comp in Premiere pro. So the work around that I use to follow is to open After effects and Premiere pro side by sede on the same machine, select and drag all the compostion from after effects project panel into Premiere pro project panel. So your all comps will move to Premiere pro, but this process might take time depending upon the format and size of the files and comp respectively. Please try this and update all if it is useful.

You can use loadXML method to load necessary XMLs, after that you have parse it, take data, and set it to correspondent fields.

Multiple Images Import template?

Hi folks,
First of all, I cannot find the link to product import templates anywhere after an hour's search. That is just wrong!
Secondly, as I remember seeing one, it doesn't offer multiple views of a single product. But i've seen stores with multiple product views.
Can someone direct me to the proper database templates and import files for adding multiple images to a product?

Hi Liam, So are the poplets connected to the product database and is there a way to bulk upload them with the csv file? Or does this have to be done individually by hand? If there isn't a place for the additional items in the csv file, then it seems they aren't directly linked in the product database?
I think I found the template before when I was doing research for the BC product in the product information area and not in the actual product import area. I couldn't see the download template until after I pressed product import. That was very deep in the system, with multiple clicks to get there.

Problem with multiple article import under new Folio builder panel

If you try to import multiple articles in pdf format, it looks like they are imported as jpg's. No zooming functionality. If you try to do this one by one, there is no problem. This was already a problem if you upgraded to a newer version of CS5.5 under build 18 and 19 (7.5.2 I believe). But now it doesn't seem to work anymore in build 7.5.0. Is it maybe a solution to upgrade?? Need to upload 320 articles ini 2 times. You can imagine I like to do this in one time. :-)

Hi Bart,
We had someone test this internally using CS5.5 and CS6, and v20 of our tools. When the folio was created as PDF, and then multiple articles were imported, the resulting articles are indeed PDF as expected. While you may see a progress window flash past and reference creating a PNG, that is likely for the thumbnail icons used for TOC navigation, etc., and not the actual article.
How are you testing the pinch and zoom functionality? By deploying the folio to an iPad device? Are you creating v19 or v20 folios? (I.e. have you just updated your panel or the tools as well?)

Why does iPhoto create multiples when importing pictures?

I have a new MacBook and I am attempting to import pictures to iPhoto that were created by various devices - old digital cameras, scanners, iPhones. The original images import without trouble, however iPhoto is creating an extra THREE pictures for each ONE that I import. Please see the attached screenshot of my iPhoto after importing a few folders. Take for example the Bowl for Kids folder - you will notice that the original folder has 20 pictures, and it is followed by an additional folder with 60 pictures. The same situation is repeated for each folder. The additional folders all share the same name - "d312a08daf7d..." and have EXACTLY three times as many pictures as the previous folder. I have verified that the pictures contained within are indeed triplicates of the originals.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I did not import an existing iPhoto Library.
Starting with a completely empty Photo Library, I navigate to File > Import to Library and select a single folder (Bowl for Kids). This folder has 20 photos in it, however iPhoto imports 80 (20 originals and 60 multiples, as evidenced by the screenshot). I then repeated the process for the other two folders.
The photos shown in the screenshot were taken from various devices many years ago. None of the above were taken on an iPhone.
The photos reside on my MacBook hard drive under Users > Worgowan > Documents > Pictures and Videos. I chose to place them here to keep them separate from the native Pictures folder.
To answer an inevitable future question, here are some settings from my iPhoto Preferences.

Multiple file import

dear all
I am left totally stump as to what I should do.
I have been provided 7 export files which are all 1G in size by a dba who created these using a multiple file export and then placed the files onto an ftp server for me to download (ie exp_p1.dmp, exp_p2.dmp, exp_p3.dmp, exp_p4.dmp, exp_p5.dmp, exp_p6.dmp, exp_p7.dmp).
I'm trying to import the multiple files using a parfile:

The first file imports successfully and then the import terminated with the following error:
IMP-00000: Import terminated unsuccessfully
WOuld someone kindly let me know why this is happening.
(just some general information the import is being done on a windows 2000 server)
As a work around the client dba is running the export again but as one large dmp file.
SOme guidance is needed in this matter.

Create pipe
send files content with wild card through 'cat' to the 'pipe'
use the pipe_name in the import file_name parameter
If you have compress dump, insert uncompress process before sending it to pipe.
mknod <pipe_name> p
cat <file?.dmp> <pipe_name>
imp file=<pipe_name>

Multiple SWF import throwing audio off

I created seven separate SWF files in Captivate 3 that I want to compile into one video. I created the "player" shell with seven slides so I could insert the SWF file as an animation on each slide. When I insert the initial two files, the audio plays correctly, however, when I insert any additional files, the audio for later SWFs is played instead. All of the files are less than 5 MB, with most below 2 MB.
I would appreciate any assistance.

I take it you're looking to export to a QT file, then yes, you can most definitely do just this. But first you need to setup your sequence correctly:
With the right Timeline open, go to Sequence Settings, then select the Audio Outputs tab
Change the output number from 2 to 4.
Adjust the available tracks' Grouping from stereo to dual mono (Very important!) then close out of Sequence Settings
Now - and this is the part I always forget - you'll need to actually route the tracks to those specific outputs. Right-click in the control area of the timeline (anywhere where you're not over a lozenge, lock or autoselect button) and make sure that the extra tracks (past 1-2) are routed to the correct output. That is, right click in the space to the left of A3 and in the shortcut menu, select Audio Outputs > 3. And so on.
Now, when you attempt to Export > QuickTime Movie using Current Settings, you'll get a 4 channel QT file. Unfortunately you can't do an odd number of channels (like 3) but most folks who do this do 6 channels (stereo pairs for dialogue, music and effects).

Multiple FDM Import Formats for One Location

I want to import trial balance data directly from the Oracle Financials database. I'm creating an import integration script to pull the ledgers directly via a SQL statement. My issue is that I also want to be able to write scripts to modify each individual field on the import, similar to a delimited import script where I can have a script for each dimension. Do you know if it's possible to combine import integration and delimited scripts in a single location? I'm guessing it may be a combination of the Import Format and Integration Options settings on the location, but I'm not sure which one should go where. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is not possible. Any adjustments to the data would need to be done within the integration script.

Problem when use multiple c:import jstl on jsp on Tomcat 5.0

I have jsp that use multipe import jstl tag. I was able to run on the Tomcat 5.5.9. When I deploy it on Tomcat 5.0.28, it is not working.
For example:

I look at Tomcat cache directory and I only see page1.jsp compiled but not page2.jsp. I look at the catalina.out log file and the error message shows below. I thought JSTL is working for Tomcat 5.x up. Do anyone have any idea? Please help.

Can you access page1 and page2.jsp correctly on their own?
ie could the problem be with page2.jsp rather than the import command?

Photo library shows multiple "Last Import" albums after upgrade

Following my upgrade to IOS6, the photo library now shows 3 blank Last Import albums, the ones created when you use the camera import connector. I tried to reset photo syncs to correct the problem, but they still remain.
Having imported an event, one of the 3 Last Import albums is now populated with pictures. The issue remains that there is the clutter of the two blank ones which seem to linger and probably will always be there unless there is some way to reset this.
So the question is, has anyone else seen this issue and how can it be corrected. I have not seen any other similar postings on this problem.

And then I finally located the answer and although a bit of a pain, this corrected the problem.
Solution: (Only practical with a few empty folders)
Shoot some photos with a digital camera using a SD card.
Put the SD Card in the Camera Connection Kit and connect to the Ipad. Import the images but keep them on the card.
Disconnect the CCK and hook up to your Mac with Iphoto running. Import the images and delete from the Ipad when asked.
Delete photos from Iphoto.
Repeat several times and you should notice that each time one more Last Import album vanishes from the Ipad.

Setting duration of multiple photos imported from iPhoto albums

in iMovie 5, i had no problem importing the photos from my iPhoto albums, and adjusting the 'Photo Settings' to what i needed, about 0:05 or 0:06. It seems in iMovie 6, that is no longer possible. Other posts here have mentioned setting of 0:03 or 0:11, but if not, it will default to some other value.
Anyway, in iMovie 5, i had no problem changing the duration to play each picture to the value i wanted, typically selecting all the photos in the project, and moving the slider bar or entering the exact value i wanted (0:00:05). That's not possible in iMovie 6, as far as i can tell. The only way i've found is to select each photo individually, 'get info', and set the value. The project is thousands of photos from 2 webcams of a building construction, creating a time-lapse video. I'm not about to select each of 25k photos to input a value...
I've seen the mention of using QuickTime Pro to do something similar. Is that the only option, or is there a way to do this with iMovie6. We only bought iLife '06 to complete the project (and upgraded, including updating all iPhoto albums & iMovie projects to newer versions), as iMovie 5 was not able to handle the large # of photos.

Very strange. Instead of dragging the photos, try clicking the Apply button in the Photo Settings window.
That probably won't work. Something is causing iMovie to "stick" at 9:29. Drag the duration slider to a time less than 9:29 and import an image. Then save the project. Now do the routine I described earlier. It might start working.
If still no luck, quit iMovie and trash the iMovie preference file. It's located in your UserName/Library/Preferences folder. It's called "com.apple.iMovie.plist".
It contains the last Ken Burns settings. Discarding the preference file will force it return to a new default duration setting. One that works, hopefully. Then do the routine I described earlier.
If it still doesn't work, something is messing up iMovie. Rule out the problems descrbed here:

Problems "talking" to iPhoto can cause iMovie to fail to locate the image, but it shouldn't affect the duration.

I need to create an import map where I can import two hyperlinks (URL2 and URL3) into the Hyperlink qualified table.
How can I achieve this?
I have an XML schema where the two hyperlinks are given in separate tags:

Can anyone provide me with a HOW-TO for how to map these two tags into the qualified table Hyperlink.
Maybe I should create two sections in the XML?

Now I have another problem someone might be able to help me with.
The sending system does not wish to send a repeating XML tag with the two hyperlinks. It causes restrictions in the data amount that can be sent.
We see two possible solutions
1.
Building the hyperlinks in MDM, like a calculation.

<URL3>http://www.test.net/yyyy</URL3>
xxxx and yyyy are values in fields we have in the MDM structure. Everything before this in the hyperlink is always the same.
Is it possible to create the hyperlinks based on the value of xxxx and yyyy? If yes, how could we manage this, also filling the fileds: URL Description, Hyperlink Type and MIME Type with correct information?

PI can create the URLs during integration.
Which of these two should we use?

Multiple Simultatenous Imports?

I have hundreds of old tapes I want to put on DVD. They are in three different formats: VHS, Dig8 and MicroMV (surprisingly, iMovie does import MicroMV directly). I want to get this done ASAP, so is there a way to import from all three sources (assuming I have the hardware, including a third external superdrive, in addition to the 2 internal) at the same time? Would I need to get two more iLife's and put iMovie on two of my other HD's. If I did this, would I need to partition these two other drives with Boot Camp?

When you say, "BUT by using Roxio Toast," are you saying that Toast CANNOT be one of the other programs, or that it HAS to be one of the other programs? I will use whatever other programs that would have the best chance of working (although I don't know how to determine this before trying; any suggestions would be appreciated).
To give the different burners different addresses, would I just specify within the program which burner to export to?
Ideally, I would run three programs from three different sources at the same time. The sources are MicroMV camcorder (I tried with iLife and it works), Sony Digital8 DCR TRV480 camcorder, and Canopus AVDC300 for VHS tapes. Of course, I will need to buy a third external burner since the computer only has two

Multiple songs imported to iPhoto

When selecting 2 music tracks (creating a new playlist with both tracks in it and selecting for the background music in i Photo), it appears to work OK in iPhoto, but when exporting to DVD (Share/Export), only the first music selection plays, then the audio is silent for the balance of the program. Is there a trick that i don't know about or is this a bug? In 2 different manuals there is the statement that multiple music tracks can be attached to slideshows. However, neither indicates how it is done. Anyone have a clue?

Thanks Lori. That thread is helpful. I will try building a single audio track in GarageBand as I can take out the long pause between songs that way too. It was my hope that I could do this quick 'n dirty without having to resort to Final Cut as that is just a bit much for a simple slideshow of vacation pics! Hope Apple gets the bug fixed in the next release. I will be one of the first to check that. - JD
