Multiple Apple TV driven by one computer via WiFi

Is it possible to drive multiple apple TVs from the one computer for multiple screen presentations such as powerpoint presentations?.

How about streaming different content to each ATV ? Can you playback Music on the One ATV and at same time play a movie on a other? Can you also start the streaming from the iTunes library on the mac (more than one title simultanously) or only start the different titles on each ATV?
Each "source" can only play one thing at a time, but you can have multiple sources on the same network simultaneously, going to different ATVs. For example, you can stream a movie from your iTunes library to one ATV, and at the same time stream music from your iPhone to another ATV. What you can't do is stream a movie and music from a single source (e.g. iTunes) +at the same time+.

  • Sync Multiple Apple TV's with one computer

I recently purchased 2 apple TVs and synched the first one with itunes running on my PC. I installed the 2nd unit, and it appears in iTunes as streaming only. What can i do? i want to load up the hard drive with content, i don't want to stream b/c it requires iTunes and the PC to be up and running.
Is there a way for multiple Apple TVs to sync with a single computer?

Today I was able to see both Apple TV's in itunes at the same time
From the second AppleTV, i made sure I selected Connect to iTunes from Settings->Computer. It presented me with an access code. From iTunes I entered the access code, and it came alive!! I was able to select which tv shows it would sync with, and then it started syncing. the entire time my primary AppleTV was being used in the other room. So iTunes was able to see both at the same time.

  • HT202213 How do I manage multiple Apple ID accounts to one computer?

My husband & I travel a lot and both have our own Itune accounts & apple ID's, Ipads & Iphones but share one MAC when we are home.
We no longer seem able to download all our various purchases to the one computer. Any idea how we bypass the message that keeps coming up?
Something to do with a 90 day restriction?

This is the confusing difference between "authorization" and "association".
In order to play content on a computer, you need to "authorize" the AppleID used to buy the content.  This can be done for many AppleIDs on one computer.
However, in order to *redownload* content on a computer, including
      - redownloading previous purchases
      - autodownloading purchases made on another device
    - running iTunes Match
you have to "associate" the computer to that AppleID, and this can only be done for one AppleID *per computer* (NOT per user account).  This user can only change every 90 days.
There is no workaround for this.  They'll reset the counter for a one time error (like when my son locked me out of Match by redownloading a TV show), but if you want content from more than one user, you'll have to copy it there by some other means.
Oh yeah, be sure to write Apple about what a stupid rule this is.

  • Multiple Apple ID's on one computer - it says we have to wait 90 days to add the 2nd one?

I deauthorized our computer using my applie ID - I did not know it would deauthorize my husbands account as well.
I reauthorized it using my AppleID.  Now my husband cannot authorize his account until 90 days go by.  We share the computer, is there a way around this?
He is the one with the itunes match on his account & most of the music.  Now he cannot access it for 90 days?  Is that right?
I will forfeit my account on this computer if we can put his on.

A computer, as far as I know, can't have more than one iTunes library at a time.  I could be wrong, since you seemingly did so previously? Either way, I'd say you will need to deauthorize your account and authorize his.  If you still have trouble, then you will need to contact Apple support to reset the account or you might be better to just wait and contect them right away, get the "rules" of your situation and then see how they can help.
Oh, I think actually I found what might be your problem, yes you will need to contact Apple directly.  The problem is a legal issue due to the addition of iCloud.  So, it seems your computer accessing both accounts was a sort of grandfather glitch that you "fixed" when you deauthorized your account.  Now, again due to legal reasons related to iCloud, you cannot authorize your husband's computer because otherwise what's stopping you from downloading all of your music, then downloading all of his music, then get a few friends together and download all of their music.  Sure, you could copy the files over manually and add them (and that may be what you have to do for the next 90 days) but they can't allow it to be so easy as just downloading multiple accounts to your computer(s).

  • Multiple Apple ID's on one Computer

    Hi
I have my iPad linked with my iTunes account on the family computer.  I have now bought my son an iPad and he has his own Apple ID. When I try and connect his iPad with the family computer iTunes tries to wipe his iPad and link it to my Apple ID. How can I get around this and use the family computer with a couple of different Apple ID's. It seems insane that I'd need a computer for each Apple ID in the family.
    Many thanks

The easiest way is for each user to have their own iTunes library in their own Windows user account on that computer.
To create a new user account:  Start > Control Panel > Add or remove user accounts.  (That is the Windows 7 version; it may look slightly different in another version of Windows.

  • Multiple Apple IDs on the same computer

We have three separate Apple IDs in our family and I need to store the iTunes media for each on the same desktop (under separate Windows user accounts).  When I start to download the media for a second account on the computer, I get a message that the computer is already associated with an Apple ID and if I continue the download, I won't be able to download content for the first account for 90 days.  How do I set up the respective Apple IDs and iTunes libraries so all three users can store and access their own content from their individual Windows accounts?

how do you have multiple apple id's with one itunes

I have multiple IDs and use the single computer sharing itunes. By 'sharing' I mean we open the pc, open itunes and log in with our individual ID as required.
While Im logged in I plug in  my device. I transfer my purchases from my device as per the file menu (not the check for auto downloads). I move them as required to whichever playlist I like.
Then when my son wants to use itunes or update his device, he logs in, plugs in his device, transfers purchases from his device, puts whatever music he wants into his playlist and/or drags direct to the device regardless of who purchased it and then syncs.
Im not sure how it works associating the pc with only one ID or all that other business- I know I don't fiddle with any of that.

  • Two apple Ids syncing with one computer

I am trying to get all the music I have purchased within the last 2 years, all $400 worth of it between two apple accounts,  Unfortunatley stupid apple wont let me authorize two apple ids to my one computer....so how the **** can I get access to my content that I PAID FOR!?!?! I have to back up every single one of my songs because they are going to be removed from my ipod when I update it.  Why the **** does apple do this?  How the **** do I go about this ridiculous situation!?!?!

You can authorize one computer for more that one account.. To do some thing you will have to sign out of one account in iTunes>Store>Signin/SIgn-SIgn out

  • HT204053 Can you have multiple apple ids that access one itune account??

I need to know if I can have multiple Apple Ids attached to one itunes account.  Trying to set facetime up on these separate devices and it keeps failing.  Any help would be appreciated.  I tried to add additional emails, but I all I get is verifying and it never verifies it.

yes you can still sync all the devices on itunes using one master itunes/appleID account.
    Music:
If you want to select specific playlists for your kids, DON'T enable iTunes Match on their devices, otherwise they will get ALL the playlists on their devices (learned that the hard way)
If you have wi-fi synced enabled that should still work.
    Apps:
I manually select which apps they get on their devices using itunes. It only changes when they re-sync.
Don't enable AUTO downloads on their devices for Apps or Music purchases.
Since I also have young kids using these devices:
I have restrictions setup on their devices. I don't allow them to install/delete apps, nor do I allow them to make any account changes on their devices. This way their devices stay in order and get backed up to icloud. I can easily restore their devices if I needed too.
Once in a while I will disable the restrictions so I can update all their apps.
    Hope this helps!

  • Why can I copy music to my iPad or iPod touch from multiple computers but from only one computer using my iPhone?

Why can I copy music to my iPad or iPod touch from multiple computers but from only one computer using my iPhone?
IPads and iPod Touches don't seem to have the same media copying restriction that my iPhone has. My main computer is at home. I have music at home and at work and sometimes I like to add it to my iPhone from work. I can do this no problem using my iPad or my iPod touch, but when it comes to my iPhone, I can only copy music to it from my main computer.
Why would the iPhone have this restriction but not the other two devices?
ps. Where's my "add currently playing song to playlist" button? I can't even find a third-party music app with this feature.

    Because...!
    I've no idea why either.
Although it isn't normally possible to sync an iPod/iPad/iPhone with two computers (or manually manage an iPhone from more than one) it can be achieved if all computers have copies of the self same library. See Re: how do i sync on a second laptop without the data on my iPhone 5 being erased?

  • In my household we have multiple users with different apple id's on one computer. Can we just change the login to sync our devices to the computer?

We have multiple apple id's for each member of the family and we all use one computer. Will this cause problems when we all want to sync to the computer, after we authorize each apple id to the computer?

Each user should have a separate user account on the computer. That will result in each user having a unique iTunes library and as long as each person logs into the computer with their own account, it will avoid unintentional cross synching and deletion of data.

My wife and daughter both have iPhones - they like different music and Apps.  How can we keep their iTunes accounts separate, but allow them to both get access to the paid apps and music we currently have in the one account?

    Hello JamyandTami,
It sounds like you purchase all the apps and music for your wife and daughter with one Apple ID, but you want to sync different information to each iPhone.  I recommend using method 2 in the article below and just syncing the information you want to each phone using a playlist for the music and selecting only the apps you want on each device:
    Method Two
You may use multiple devices on a computer without the need to create multiple user accounts. To do this, you can set iTunes to update each device with only certain playlists. This method allows you to put all your music on, say, your iPod and keep your iPod shuffle updated with only your workout music. Here's how to do this with iTunes:
Create new iTunes playlists that contain all the music that you want to sync to each device.
Learn how to sync your device.
I recommend reviewing the full article if you would like to see other options:

You can also download only what you want from the App and iTunes Store to each respective device using the steps in this article:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

With either of these methods, you would want to disable automatic downloads on each device so that any new purchases are not automatically downloaded on your wife's phone when your daughter downloads something and vice versa:
